About This Episode: I was featured on the ‘Relationship Renegades’ radio show, and we talked about what it takes to have healthy and fully ALIVE relationships – from a relationship with yourself, to those with your partner and others. We also got into the concept of how our feelings (anxiety, depression, etc.) can often be an alarm system from our “soul” that tells us something is off, that we might be going in the wrong direction, and that it’s time to WAKE UP and listen to our own intuition. This episode is jam packed with helpful life, business and relationship advice. Just in time for Valentine's Day, I got a chance to sit down with the Relationship Renegades (@Relationship Renegades); Emilio Palafox (@emilio_palafox) and Rachele Brooke Smith (@rbrookesmith). These two are on a mission to reframe how relationships are viewed and could be. We always hear the following comments: "My wife is such a B****," "there's no good guys out there for me," "don't fall in love, it always ends in heartbreak," etc etc etc. But what if your relationships could be amazing? What if you and your partner formed such a powerful bond that none of these silly comments would ever come out of your mouth, because you knew through thick and thin, life is beautiful, bountiful, and the two of you form a synergy beyond what just one person could accomplish? What if instead of being in a relationship that you HAVE to be in for some unknown reasons, you GET to be in and you're the luckiest person in the world. Like Tony Robbins says, "life isn't happening to us, life is happening for us." A common phrase they like to use is "Kill Your Superman to Find Your Wonder Woman." In essence, we need to kill our own egos and not care so much about being right, but changing our focus to being happy. The game of life is infinite, and when play for short wins and remain short sighted, and are too busy keeping the score, you'll miss out on the amazing things happening around you. This was a powerful episode about love, enhancing communication with your significant other, and transforming your relationship to the next level.Timeline6:00- Why we are being programmed to be in bad relationships 8:15 - Why you should “Kill your Superman to find your Wonder Woman"12:45 - Why we fall into toxic relationships17:45 - My own journey with self-compassion22:35 - Would you rather be right, or would you rather be happy?25:30 - How to communicate with your loved one even during chaos34:50 - We don't always attract what we think about but who we are38:55 - Stop dating others. After leaving her gymnastics career and finding herself lost on all levels, Rachele Brooke Smith went to the theater and watched Center Stage. That movie changed her life forever. She knew immediately she needed to act and dance. Well after the movie was over, she sat in the theater, envisioning what her life would be. She created and created in her mind. She left for LA, got involved in an awesome acting intensive, then was rejected over and over by agents. But during this time of rejection, she saw on the wall in a building she was at an audition notification for Center Stage 2. She went for it, and after a 3 month grueling processing, landed the lead role! This is Rachele! The most amazing, hilarious, and positive creator you’ll ever meet. She creates incredible joy, passion, and greatness wherever she goes. People are constantly drawn to the light she emits all. the. time. Rachele is an actress and entrepreneur. Her years of competitive gymnastics taught her how to persevere through tough challenges, but quitting that very sport is what gave her the ability to forge her own path. It’s time to be the hero of your own life story. Aren’t you tired of always playing as the prey, anyway? Life gets tough, and it’s you, and you alone, who could pull you out of that phase. Now’s the time to build the right mindset to prepare yourself on your ultimate success. In this episode of The Business Mentor Podcast, Jay talks to Rachele Brooke Smith, an actress and the Founder of the Disruptive Movement. Discover today the different techniques you can use so you can disrupt your thoughts and empower yourself for the next significant steps you’ll do that will change your life. Being the best version of yourself does not require extravagance; use your power within you and take control of your mind, body, and soul to get there. KEY TAKEAWAY While young Rachele’s friends were attending parties, she was busy preparing for personal development conferences. This was her childhood. It was full of fascination with how the mind works and how important mindset is. Rachele started The Disruptive Movement to help and empower everyone so that they become the hero in their life stories. It’s how you perceive and react to what’s happening to you that could either make or break what you want for your future. Techniques in Having the Mindset for Success: Be open-minded. If there’s a part of you, your tasks, or your goals that is not serving you or not making you happy about yourself, then be open on trying new things. Have a healthy routine. Create patterns in your daily life depending on what you want your life to be. If you want to be successful and happy in the future, then you have to win at things that you’ll do today. Harness your power of creativity. We’re all creative beings. Choose to use your creativity to produce compelling experiences to help other people. Remember that you are what you consume. What books, podcasts, and videos are you consuming? Who are the people you are following in social media? What are the foods you’re eating? Practice gratitude. On the end of each day, Rachele records herself speaking about things that she’s grateful of. She relistens to them regularly to remind herself and reaffirm her visions while on her journey. Start with a tiny habit. Being disciplined and deciding to make tiny habits every single day can bring a massive benefit to your life right now and in the future. Create value for others. In the digital world, where most people consume their time online, and there’s a lot of noise when it comes to content, it’s best that you aim to be one of helpful voices even to a small group of people. Learn about the Release Meditation Technique. This leaves everything in the past and opens you up to new possibilities. Have a mentor. Find someone who could help you to refocus when you get lost along the way, to brainstorm your ideas with, and also to reinforce all your visions. BEST MOMENTS “When I first started acting and dancing, that’s the first time I felt alive.” “All the things that I thought the worst that happened to me along the journey ended up being the best things.” “If you keep doing what you’re doing, you keep getting what you’re getting.” “Vulnerability is a superpower.” “What has been helpful is to say, ‘I’m so grateful I’m in the process of becoming my strongest and most beautiful self.’” “Anytime I feel fear, I am rewiring myself so that I feel it, acknowledge it, and be disruptive anyways.” “If you really want to change, you have to have a lot of pain around it.” VALUABLE RESOURCES As A Man Thinketh by James Allen The Disruptive Movement Forget big change, start with a tiny habit: BJ Fogg at TEDxFremont |TEDx Talks YouTube The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy Abraham Hicks Brendon Burchard’s Release Meditation Technique | YouTube ABOUT THE GUEST Rachele Brooke Smith is an actress, dancer, an inspiring role model and a motivational speaker. Rachele Brooke Smith’s life changed when she saw Center Stage as a teenager, as it made her realize she wanted to be a dancer and an actress. And despite years of getting what seemed like no closer to her dream, she continued to show up and audition, despite how much her self-talk tried to keep her down. One day, she finally realized that dream, getting cast in the lead of Center Stage 2! Through this and many other experiences, Rachele realized that to create her life as she wanted it to be, she would have to fight through fears. Now, when fear arises, she envisions how much worse it would feel to miss out on opportunities like the audition for Center Stage 2 that she almost didn’t attend. With that in mind, she’s able to disrupt negative thoughts and let her creative superpowers run free.
