June 2026 is a curious, intense, and profoundly internal month setting the stage for massive external disruptions later this summer. In this episode, we break down the June energy forecast, exploring the potent 1+7 numerology frequency that brings a massive psychic awakening—along with a heavy shadow of isolation and delusion. We discuss the major astrological shifts, including Chiron entering Taurus (initiating a new 7-year collective wound around money and worth), Uranus squaring the Nodes, and a late-month Mercury Retrograde. This month is a point of no return: stop keeping secrets, tend to your nervous system, and find the community that enriches your soul. This week on Stay Tuned, former Goldman Sachs Chairman and CEO Lloyd Blankfein joins Preet for a far-reaching conversation on the economic impacts of the war in Iran, lessons from the 2008 financial crisis, the current state of the markets (and why he thinks we're due for another reckoning), and why he thinks CEOs should stay out of most political debates. Plus, they dive into Blankfein's new memoir, Streetwise, in which he traces his unlikely journey to the top job at one of the most powerful financial institutions in the world. Then, Preet answers your questions about CBS pulling Senate candidate James Talarico from The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and the latest on Bruce Springsteen's tour.  In the bonus for Insiders, Lloyd and Preet discuss how AI is transforming the workforce and why resisting technological progress is folly. Tune in here to this Tuesday's edition of the Brett Winterble Show! Brett kicks off the program by talking about the lack of a statute of limitations for murder and Iran’s decades-long attacks on Americans. Brett frames the discussion around the idea that murder never expires under U.S. law, arguing that the Iranian regime’s actions since 1979 should never be forgotten or forgiven. Brett revisits the U.S. embassy hostage crisis, the failed Desert One rescue attempt, and decades of kidnappings, proxy attacks, and alleged killings tied to Iranian-backed groups. Citing tallies of Americans killed, kidnapped, or wrongfully detained, Brett contends that the threat has been persistent and deliberate. Brett criticizes media figures and political leaders who downplay the danger, expressing frustration with what Brett sees as a lack of national unity. Brett also defends recent precision military strikes, saying they demonstrate strength and intelligence-driven action rather than reckless warfare, and argues that confronting the regime is long overdue. Listen here for all of this and more on The Brett Winterble Show! For more from Brett Winterble check out his YouTube channel. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

There's a blunt-force clarity to “The Bluff.” Cannons roar, cliffs loom, and survival comes down to grit, guns, and one badass mother who refuses to bend. Directed by Frank E. Flowers, the 19th-century Caribbean thriller follows Ursell (Priyanka Chopra Jonas), a former pirate whose quiet life is shattered when Connor (Karl Urban), a betrayed former ally, arrives with vengeance and unfinished business on his mind. What unfolds is part Pirate-themed, “Die Hard”-esque siege movie, part reckoning with empire, and, in Urban's words, “actually a love story with the volume turned up.” The film hits Prime Video on February 25 and also stars Temuera Morrison, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Safia Oakley-Green, and more.On this episode of The Discourse, host Mike DeAngelo is joined by Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Karl Urban to talk about the sweat, the history, and the franchise futures looming on both of their horizons. When asked just how physically punishing the shoot for “The Bluff” was, Urban did not romanticize it. “At the end of every single day, I would go and get all the stuff taken off, and I would have a double tequila ready to go and ready for that car ride home,” he said. Chopra-Jonas raised the stakes. “I definitely needed a tetanus shot, and margarita, and a bottle of wine.” The production was shot entirely on location, on a tight schedule, and there was “no time for anybody to fall sick. There was just no room.” Chopra Jonas admitted. “But, I mean, it looks great, and it turned out great.”

As 2025 draws to a close, RevDem editors Alexandra Kardos(History of Ideas), Gabriel Pereira (Cross-Regional Dialogue), and Kristóf Szombati (Political Economy and Inequalities) take stock of a turbulent democratic year through three keywords: imagination, frustration, and realignment. From Latin America's shifting right and disillusionment with democratic “delivery” to renewed geopolitical pressuresand the growing visibility of China, they reflect on what is changing, why it matters, and what gets lost when Europe remains intellectually inward-looking.The conversation also highlights where democratic energy still surfaces—in civic mobilisation, investigative journalism, and grassroots organising. These reflections set the stage for Part II, which turns from diagnosis to the priorities and risks shaping democracy in 2026.

My guest today on the Online for Authors podcast is Karen E Osborne, author of the book Justice for Emerson. Karen is an award-winning and Amazon Kindle best-selling author of five suspense novels–Reckonings (award-winning family saga/suspense), Tangled Lies (award-winning murder mystery), Getting It Right (recognized by Essence Magazine as a Best Read), True Grace, (award-winning historical fiction inspired by her grandmother, set in 1924 Harlem, NY), and Justice for Emerson, a dual timeline murder mystery.   Karen believes in generosity and giving back. She hosts a weekly video podcast What Are You Reading? What Are You Writing? supporting fellow authors. She is on the board of directors of Easterseals Florida helping the differently abled, is an Elder in her church, volunteers for several professional organizations supporting nonprofits and feeds the hungry and unhoused every week. Native New Yorkers living in Florida, Karen and her husband, Robert, have two grown children and three grandsons.   In my book review, I stated Justice for Emerson is a wonderful mystery with a side of romance and a dash of historical fiction - and I simply loved this book! Without a doubt, I am a sucker for books that cross genres. Plus, it had a dual timeline and more than one POV.   The main character, Aria, loves to serve. Her career puts her on the frontlines battling homelessness, addiction, and hunger. She's a go-getter, but she's not perfect. She has a chip on her shoulder - she hates her diminutive stature and worries if others see her as a capable leader - AND she's still grieving the loss of her husband - which means she's more than conflicted about the attention of two very different and very handsome men.   Things come to a head when she finds Emerson, a volunteer and Vietnam Vet who struggles with addiction, shot in the basement of her non-profit. To make matters worse, she sees the killer, and he threatens her and everyone she loves.   The descriptions of those living in their cars tore at my heart. The romance stirred my heart. And the twists and turns kept my heart racing. She was on the podcast in July 2022 to talk about a project called Deep Reckonings. In it, she considered the cases of public figures who'd responded to personal controversy in less-than-ideal ways and reimagined responses that would have conveyed genuine learning. Now she's back with a new video series, Faces of X, which illustrates an argument using a single performer to act out the three parts of the thesis, antithesis, synthesis schematic. Those performers include Buck Angel, Liv Boeree, Magatte Wade, and herself. In this conversation, I talk with Stephanie about why it's so hard to check your confirmation bias (even — and maybe even especially — when you pride yourself on being able to do so), the difference between synthesis and “both sidesism,” and why she's optimistic about the future of public discourse about complicated issues. GUEST BIO Stephanie Lepp is the founder of Synthesis Media, a production studio devoted to integrating perspectives into a bigger picture. In 2022, she debuted Reckonings, a narrative podcast that explores how we change our hearts and minds, and Deep Reckonings, a series of explicitly-marked deepfake videos that imagine morally courageous versions of our public figures.
