In this episode, Mayu shares a cold tomato soup gazpacho recipe she learned from her host mother in Spain. Listen to the episode. - 料理講師・都丸真由さんが担当する毎週金曜日のコーナー『オーストラリアで食べる』。第78回目では、真由さんがかつて留学していたスペインで、ホストマザーから教わったという、冷製トマトスープが紹介されました。
If soup with both extraordinary color and flavor sounds intriguing, then make this, but when you do, use only ripe yellow tomatoes. Anything less, and you will be disappointed. Of course, you can also make this with red tomatoes, but you'll miss out on the color, which is part of the pleasure. With the exception of roasting the peppers, which can be done ahead of time, no other cooking is required here. Raw tomatoes and garlic are blended together until smooth, crushed tomatoes are added for texture, and that is basically it. Serve just as is, no chilling required, as a luncheon entree on a summer afternoon with toasted slices of country bread topped with mashed anchovies and a few capers.
Thesis remarkably rich tasting and full-flavored, more like a stew than a soup, thanks in large part to the generous amount of roasted tomatoes that serve as the base. You can prepare the tomatoes and make the soup base 1 day in advance. Then it is just a matter of reheating the soup and adding the scallops. The key to keeping them tender is to add them right before serving. With crusty bread and fruit and cheese, this makes a stylish light lunch or supper.
Gabe & Chewy start the show discussing the new study that reveals people are too tired to make themselves dinner, and a suprising amount of people have fallen asleep WHILE making dinner. Jason Wilde joins the show to talk all the latest about the Green Bay Packers 1 week before the first game of the season against the Philadelphia Eagles in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Craig Karamzin joins the show to talk about the Wisconsin Badgers, The Green Bay Packers and more.
Gabe and Chewy start the 2nd hour of the show discussing The Green Bay Packers Wide receiver room with Dontayvion Wicks barely seeing any snaps on at Family Night, and listen to Brian Gutekunst's comments about the competition within the room and the benefits it provides. Is it a good thing the Packers won't be playing the Philadelphia Eagles in Philly and instead the game will be played in Brazil. Sophia Minneart joins the show to talk all the latest with the Milwaukee Brewers and gives updates on Christian Yelich, and Devin Williams.
Gabe and Chewy start the show catching with Gabe Netizel and all the things he missed since he's been out, and an update on the Green Bay Packers. Gabe won his member guest tournament that kept him out the past few days. Packers General Manager, Brian Gutekunst says he doesn't really believe in championship windows, or Super Bowl Windows... DO you agree? Adam Schefter joins the show to talk Gutey appearing on his podcast his talk about Super Bowl Windows, the Wide Receivers and Packers playing in Brazil. Chewy likes his Tuna Sandwich with some Tomato Soup.

Witches attacked chastity speaker Jason Evert, who travels the world teaching about Christ's plan for the dignity of the human person. The witches cursed and rallied against Evert, but Evert's message reached even more students after taking his speech online. Not satisfied with this, Evert's detractors even assaulted him, dumping a can of tomato soup on Evert during one of his in-person speeches. Evert responded with prayer and petition to the Blessed Virgin Mary. However, the mainstream media has focused only on baselessly tearing down Evert's character for his pro-family values, and mischaracterizing Evert's Catholic message on the family. News to us at Radiotopia, but there are some of you out there who have some really strong feelings about grilled cheese, almost enough for a whole separate podcast. What is it about this seemingly mellow, humble sandwich — a favorite of both small children and stoners — that elicits all this controversy? (It's always the quiet ones.) Even if you don't like grilled cheese, it's worth listening just for Kenji's genius lifehack involving sausage.PS - If you are Team Triangle (IYDKNYK), get yourself this rad t-shirt (100% of profits go to ACLU) PPS - for perfect grilled cheese, listen to this playlistRecipes mentioned: Deb's Frico Grilled Cheese Sandwiches (from Smitten Kitchen) Deb's Classic Grilled Cheese + Cream of Tomato Soup (from Smitten Kitchen) Kenji's Grilled Cheese Sandwich (from Serious Eats) Kenji's Good Grilled Cheese (from Kenji's Cooking Show) Kenji's Late Night Chorizo Grilled Cheese (from Kenji's Cooking Show)

Also, lifestyle expert Jenn Falik shares a few home solution and problem solving products at a discount. Some people think tomato soup only exists to serve as a dipping sauce for grilled cheese, but Kenji and Deb are here to set them straight. A properly, lovingly made tomato soup — even with sad-looking supermarket tomatoes from February — can be a time portal, from the dreariest winter day to the peak of summer farmer's market fresh. Kenji makes Deb's genius “grilled cheese kind of built into the tomato soup”, unlocking a new level of tomato soup nirvana.Recipes mentioned: Deb's Weeknight Tomato Soup (from Smitten Kitchen) Deb's Classic Grilled Cheese + Cream of Tomato Soup (from Smitten Kitchen) Deb's Roasted Tomato Soup with Broiled Cheddar (from Smitten Kitchen) Kenji's Fast and Easy Pasta with Blistered Cherry Tomato Sauce (from Serious Eats) Kenji's 15-Minute Creamy Tomato Soup (Vegan) (from Serious Eats) Lisa Steele's Cream-Fried Eggs (from the Washington Post)

Globally, climate activism has shifted over the past few years. It's more constant now and includes more direct action than ever before. Some of that action has critics, including climate scientists and climate advocates, clutching their pearls and worrying that protest will turn the public away from the urgent need to act on the climate crisis. But social science researchers who study structural change and protest say there's no historical evidence to back that up; that in fact the only time social movements have ever affected change is when they've been wildly disruptive, and a whole lot of the people who love to quote MLK are missing a significant part of his approach to social change. In this week's ep we hear from social scientists on how radical or not climate protests really are, and what factors make direct action work or fail. Learn more about your ad choices. On this week's episode Jarred and Kyle discuss the weirdest and most interesting news articles from all over the internet, covering everything from: Investigation is underway in PA to find the person who has been throwing frozen bananas at cars, PA man is arrested for stealing less than $100 in groceries...but some of that was 3 cakes with his face printed on it (side note: if we all went on strike for paying for groceries until food prices were reasonable again, I don't think they could stop us. Just some food for thought), Quincy man is arrested with is genitals exposed near horses...again (if we've said it once we've said it 100 times "You can say whatever you want about a Horse Fucker), and a UT man beats a friend to death with a can of soup my guess is it was Campbell's Chunky but honestly this was only vaguely discussed it sparked a debate about sandwiches with soup. Are you Team Jarred: PB&J is delicious with Chicken Noodle Soup or Team Kyle and PB&J should never be eaten with soup and honestly Grilled Cheese is the only acceptable accompanying sandwich with almost any soup. Is the global transition to “plant-based” headed in the right direction? How sustainable is a plant-based diet if it revolves around refined carbs like bread, rice and noodles, or fake meat, uninspiring salads, and sugary smoothies? In her debut cookbook, The Vegetarian Reset, Vasudha Viswanath celebrates a lifestyle where a foodie's sensibility intersects with eating healthy. It solves the never-ending dilemma that vegetarians face – is life fun when you eat a salad every day or is your health taking a backseat when you eat a big bowl of rice or pasta without enough protein? Within the pages of this delicious cookbook, Vasudha has created 75 low-carb and high-protein recipes that are rooted in whole foods like vegetables, legumes, spices, and healthy fats. Her recipes take readers on a culinary trip around the world, drawing inspiration from an array of traditional eastern and western cuisines. Get Your Copy HERE: https://amzn.to/3OhAGnm The recipes put vegetables front and center for low-carb alternatives to white rice or noodles and creating breads out of less-processed alternatives like chickpea and almond flour. Smoothies are refreshingly savory, and desserts are lightly sweetened with whole fruit. Nutritional facts are provided for each recipe. Moderate amounts of full-fat dairy and eggs are called for in some recipes, but vegan alternatives are often suggested as well. The Vegetarian Reset offers diverse recipes organized into nine chapters, including: Breads (Zucchini Bread, Avocado Toast, Dosas with Chutney, Eggplant Chili Cheese Toast, Khachapuri) Rice (Kadhi with Jeera Rice, Vegetable Bibimbap, Lemon Risotto, Ven Pongal with Tomato Chutney) Pasta and Noodles (Saag Lasagna, Pad Thai with Seared Tofu, Cacio e Pepe, Curried Lentil Mushroom Bolognese) Salads (Falafel Salad, Sundal, Tandoori Paneer Salad) Soups and Lentils (Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato Soup, Spring Pea and Spinach Soup, Shepherd's Pie) Eggs (Shakshuka, Huevos Rancheros, Eggs Florentine, Okonomiyaki, Unda Kathi Roll) Small Plates (Masala Vada, Cucumber Summer Rolls, Celeriac Patatas Bravas, Arancini with Marinara) Smoothies (Turmeric-Almond Lassi, Cucumber Mint Gazpacho, Avocado Lime, Masala Chaas) Desserts (Hazelnut Brownie, Berry Cashew Burfi, PBJ Sandwich Cookies, Mango Cheesecake Jars) “Embracing whole foods and a plant-forward diet in this satisfying, delicious and nutritious way, allows your body to reset, and will likely lead to a lasting overall change in your food preferences, toward healthier options,” Vasudha says. Whether you already follow a low-carb lifestyle or simply want to add more healthy dishes into your rotation, The Vegetarian Reset will delight and inspire everyone to eat well and fully nourish your body. Location! Location! Location! The unfortunate birthplace of this historic Los Angelos hotel may have fallen on hard times but its truly tragic happenings seem to have compounded into the creation of one of California's most haunted locations. This week we cover California's Cecil Hotel. Also known as "Hotel Death" we've attempted to glean some metaphysical insight on the most recent happenings and general history of this haunted location. Similar to the possibly poor delivery of our badly timed jokes in an attempt to fight the solemn happenings of the Cecil Hotel, the tragic events of this once prime, upperclass establishment are continuous throughout its living memoir. Hopefully a truly new beginning full of love, light, and all things bright is in store the well-known Cecil Hotel. This week, we punch up some bloody good commentary about Rocky after we eat turkey, tomato soup, an apple, and a raw egg. This love story really packs a punch, but Rocky takes it all in stride while dealing with jabs from Paulie, Mickey, and Buddy. Rocky may lose the fight, but to us, he'll always be a winner, even if he is a little forceful with the ladies. Yo, Adrian!
