We're live now with Fr. Jason Charron, Ukrainian Catholic Priest who currently serves two parishes in the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Saint Josaphat in Parma In Today's Show What is Father's favorite Western and Eastern hymn? What is the difference between Greek Orthodox, Antioch, and Traditional Catholicism? Who appoints the next Pope? Am I depriving myself of graces by offering all my prayers for my neighbor instead of myself? Why are there some genuinely good/God fearing orthodox or protestants that die outside of the Church? How do I pray with seeming like I'm testing God or His abilities? Is it okay to be involved and attend church with the Ecumenical Catholic Communion? What is the correct way to do ecumenical outreach? Is it normal for Ukrainian Catholics to walk on their knees to receive the Eucharist? What is your opinion on Bishop Strickland's statements criticizing priests who don't push back on pope Francis's statements? Is there a tradition in the eastern rite to cut a child's hair on Good Friday? How should we treat temptations and are they a tool? I'm a little late in starting the 33-day consecration. Should I wait a year, or start now? In the mass today there were some verses missing from the reading, why would that be? Veteran LifeSite journalist Stephen Kokx has just published his second book in as many years. Released on the Feast of Christ the King, Navigating the Crisis in the Church: Essays in Defense of Traditional Catholicism is a collection of essays addressed to all Catholics who find themselves troubled by the never-ending series of crises under Francis. It has also received praise from Archbishop Viganò for bringing needed clarity on the state of the Church and the world. I have written my first article in years for the amazing new Islander magazine. It's called "Losing the Language of Freedom," and it is a must-read!You can get the magazine here:https://lotuseaters.com/islander-2-11-09-24QUESTIONS"Related to your post of death by heroism."Is creating and nurturing life a superpower, e.g. creating families?"I can scarcely imagine the amount of joy there is in been involved as a parent, and seeing the progression in your daughter for example."Why do the man-children avoid it? What is the fear?""Hi Stef, I'm a couple of weeks behind on your show and working on catching up! If this has been mentioned before then please skip over my question :) I heard on the lotus eaters podcast that you have contributed an article in their latest issue of the islander magazine, which had me immediately purchase it. As a UK citizen I find their podcast to be very useful in navigating the maelstrom that my country has become over the past 2 months, so I am excited to hear that my favourite guide in moral reasoning (you) is collaborating with them again. It will be a few weeks before it is printed/posted out so I was wondering if you could drop any hints about the subject of your article? If you think that it's best that I wait to find out for myself then I fully understand!""Apologies if it has been asked before, but I read implicit in your philosophy that God (if such an omnipotent, omniscient, omnibenevolent being exists) has not made his approval known of any particular religion. Is the question of God and any potential source of divine revelation outside of the scope of your interest, does it seem like God has not approved of any religion or that any and all miracles are not credible, or something else entirely?"I ask this because as a Catholic I glean divine approval of Traditional Catholicism (such as it was before John XXIII) from the miracles of Catholic saints and the eucharist (and besides that the truth of the testimony of many Catholic martyrs).""How can you tell the difference between a legitimate desire or need and a narcissistic impulse that demands to be satisfied? Sometimes I feel like the boundary between self-care and self-indulgence is blurry.""I posted a lengthy question in this thread a few hours ago on my relationship struggles. But then I remembered the RTR AI and pasted my question to it and received a thorough and amazingly helpful response. I've deleted my question here to give others more opportunity to get theirs answered, and want to call out the RTR AI and its benefits.""What do you think of the new YouTube policy where they will restrict/hide fitness & exercise content for teenagers because 'it can lead to negative self beliefs and body image disorders'""Hi Stef, I'm noticing recently on Gab and other right majority platforms a marked rise in hatred for capitalism, ultimately basing their criticisms on things that are the direct results of state action. Why is it that many right-leaning people clearly understand the social consequences of government action, but appear to dismiss it entirely when it comes to economics?"GET MY NEW BOOK 'PEACEFUL PARENTING', THE INTERACTIVE PEACEFUL PARENTING AI, AND AUDIOBOOK!https://peacefulparenting.com/Join the PREMIUM philosophy community on the web for free! Also get the Truth About the French Revolution, the interactive multi-lingual philosophy AI trained on thousands of hours of my material, private livestreams, premium call in shows, the 22 Part History of Philosophers series and much more!See you soon!https://freedomain.locals.com/support/promo/UPB2022
You belong to a counter-cultural movement called Traditional Catholicism. But the world at large does not at all share your traditional Catholic faith and in some respects is hostile to it.You come here to St. Isidore's because you want the traditional Catholic faith, the same faith taught by the Apostles and held by Catholics throughout the ages. You come here to be instructed in the same moral law that they followed and to receive the sacraments in the traditional forms that have nourished souls throughout the ages. You come here to put your children in a school where they will be taught and formed in the Catholic faith. Then you leave St. Isidore's and go out into a world permeated by a post-modern pagan, anti-culture. And there is this struggle to maintain a Catholic identity. What you do away from St. Isidore's is just as important as what you do here for the maintaining of your faith. In today's parable, Our Lord teaches us that we have to be just as prudent in attaining our supernatural goal as the world is in attaining its natural ends. We must be smart in using our material resources which come from God.

The Fish Eaters web site has some great ideas.
We look into the beginning of how we got to the current crisis in the Church courtesy of the Fish Eaters site.
https://www.youtube.com/nutrientsurvival https://nutrientsurvival.com/ The FBI has investigated individuals and organizations associated with the Catholic Church in the past, but this has not been limited to the Catholic Church as a whole. The FBI investigates individuals and organizations suspected of violating federal law, regardless of their religious affiliation. The FBI's mission is to protect the American people and defend the Constitution of the United States, and it investigates activities that may threaten national security or violate federal law. This includes investigating terrorism, espionage, and other crimes, regardless of the individuals or groups involved. However, it is important to note that the FBI has been criticized in the past for its handling of investigations involving religious and political groups. There have been allegations of surveillance, infiltrations, and other tactics that have been seen as infringements on the constitutional rights of individuals and organizations. In response to these criticisms, the FBI has established guidelines and oversight mechanisms to ensure that its activities are consistent with the Constitution and protect the civil liberties of all Americans. It is important to remember that the FBI operates within a complex legal and political environment and must balance its responsibility to protect national security with its obligation to respect individual rights and liberties. ------ The Constitution of the United States protects the freedom of religion for all Americans through the First Amendment, which states: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." This amendment has two clauses, the Establishment Clause and the Free Exercise Clause, both of which are important for protecting religious freedom in the United States. The Establishment Clause prohibits the federal government from establishing a state religion or promoting one religion over others, while the Free Exercise Clause guarantees that individuals have the right to practice their religion free from government interference. This means that the government cannot force individuals to practice a particular religion or prevent them from practicing their religion, as long as their religious practices do not violate the rights of others or the law. The protection of religious freedom is a cornerstone of American democracy, and has been interpreted and applied in a variety of ways by the courts and government agencies over the years. ----- What is a traditional Catholic? Traditional Catholicism refers to a set of beliefs, practices, and traditions within the Catholic Church that are based on a conservative interpretation of the Church's teachings and liturgy. This approach is sometimes contrasted with more progressive or liberal interpretations of Catholicism. Traditional Catholicism often emphasizes the importance of strict adherence to Church doctrine and liturgical practices, and may reject certain changes or reforms that have been introduced into the Church over the past several decades. This can include a focus on Latin Mass, traditional devotional practices, and conservative social and political views. While traditional Catholicism is a distinct approach within the Catholic Church, it is not a separate denomination, and followers of traditional Catholicism are still considered to be members of the Catholic Church. As with any religious group, the beliefs and practices of traditional Catholics can vary widely, and it is important to recognize that there is a range of diversity within this group.
Recorded 1/16/23Matt and Dan discuss the oeuvre of Mel Gibson, analyzing him as a serious filmmaker with a vision animated as much by Traditional Catholicism as by a profound appreciation for the transformative power of violence. Topics of primary focus include Apocalypto, The Passion, and Mel's status as a truly successful, big-budget yet dissident filmmaker.Matt Pegas TwitterDan Baltic Twitter

While the papacy has called for a ‘Listening Church,' a theology of ‘encounter,' and a Church that is willing to go to the margins, the Brothers here question the appropriateness of Cardinal Cupich's swift sanctions on Latin Mass communities within the Archdiocese of Chicago, and that, without any dialogue between the faithful and their bishop. The Brothers also offer (1) a side-by-side analysis of the Ordinary and Extraordinary texts of the Roman Rite, (2) a list of common abuses of the Novus Ordo that have prevailed for too long, and (3) a practical guide to brining your own parish's Novus Ordo in line with the (actual) calls of Vatican 2 and the General Instruction on the Roman Missal.
Matt is a very pleasant man who is also knowledgeable and thoughtful. We talk about his education as a historian, a turn-of-life event that ended up with Matt in prison, how God has shaped him, and the reason Matt values traditional Catholicism w/ the Latin mass. Matt Epstein

What's the connection between the October 2019 Amazon Synod and the global lockdown that took place a couple of months later? Is there a connection between Traditional Catholicism and the Pope's move to rein in the “rigid” Catholics worldwide? In this episode of The Editor's Desk, Michael J. Matt discusses the G7 plan to reset the whole world with the help of the Vatican. Using clips from Bill Maher, Jon Stewart and Eric Clapton, Michael shows that this is no longer just a Republican vs. Democrat issue. So, what is it? Will a New World Order come with a New World Religion? If so, what happens to Christianity? Protestant ministers were fighting for a constitutional amendment proclaiming Christ king over a hundred years ago. In 1925, Pope Pius XI proclaimed the doctrine on the Kingship of Christ to the entire world. So, what happened, and is there a connection between the abandonment of the King and the reign of chaos through which we're living today? Something a little different: this is the audio from a video on the DeClue's Views YouTube channel, which I am republishing here because I want to give these men a wider audience. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeQenCC8iQo Description: In a recent video,Taylor Marshall presented what he considers to be errors in the documents of the Second Vatican Council. This video by Richard DeClue and Chris Plance serves as a rebuttal. It starts by highlighting general problems with Marshall's approach and the spiritual dangers it entails. It then goes through each of Marshall's "errors," offering corrective interpretations in light of the documents themselves and other magisterial texts. In this episode, Kevin interviews Colin Tinker, a junior at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. His story is a prime example of the Soul of the Apostolate: responding to the youth's search for divine fulfillment, we can offer the beauty and depth of traditional mysticism in the Catholic Church. After being raised nominally Catholic, in his adolescence Colin began using hard drugs in search of meaning (or distraction from a lack thereof). Early in his college years in Denver, as a vulnerable and searching 20-year-old he fell under the influence of the Hare Krishna's (a Hindu-like religion). On the verge of becoming a Hare Krishna monk, he realizes he is worshiping a demon, and has a conversion. Colin, 22-years-old, is now an ardently practicing Catholic and attends the Traditional Latin Mass when he can. Kevin and Colin end with a discussion about the importance of Catholic tradition and mysticism as an answer to the youth's search in New Ageism for meaning and transcendence. Living as a Catholic can be difficult. It can become even more difficult when faced with mental illness. Today on our Catholic Creatives Corner, Brooke Strauss, owner of Visual Litany, a Catholic visual art business on Peter’s Square, joins Chris to discuss her discovering of the richness and beauty of Traditional Catholicism, the struggle of depression and anxiety as a Catholic wife and mother, and shares her advice for those who may be questioning the pursuit of creating good art in today’s secular post-modern culture. Our lovely guest Brooke has graciously given a special promo code for our listeners, for use in her Visual Litany store, or for use with any art commissions you have in mind. We love Brooke’s art and have a few pieces hung in our home, and many of her different bookmarks in our most favorite catholic books. In this episode we discuss the antics and power politics in play between Rome and the Chinese Patriotic Catholic Association (CPCA)**, especially the significance of the current Roman Bishop in White ordering a duly-appointed Bishop in China to step down in favor of an excommunicated, schismatic member of the CPCA. As long as a given tactic of Satan works he will continue to use it, and the “divide and conquer” tactic is one that has worked all too well throughout human history. We also discuss how “Divide et Impera” has played out in the Church Militant from Apostolic times through the current day, with an emphasis on the formation and early history of the Society of Saint Pius X and what is currently known as Traditional Catholicism. **Yes, SuperNerd got the name of the ersatz Catholic Church in China wrong twice… and he’s chagrined and embarrassed about that.
