I admit that I haven’t yet acquired the absolute fullness that I’m pursuing, but I run with passion into his abundance so that I may reach the purpose for which Christ Jesus laid hold of me to make me his own (Phil 3:12 TPT) Part of the beauty of being a Christian is that we get to 'come as we are, but not stay as we are'. We GET to become more like Jesus each day as we let God's love in, accept what Jesus paid for us to have and rely on the Holy Spirit to help us navigate daily life. We get to go into the Promised Land that God is inviting us to inhabit. Problem is...there are giants that will try to intimidate us into seeing ourselves as grasshoppers (Num 13:33) and if we let them succeed, we'll turn around and run. As you listen to today's podcast episode you'll find keys to see intimidation for what it truly is, and learn how to lean into God (who is FAR bigger than that giant) - and run TOWARD the Promised Land instead. Come and let us run your race with you, at www.MyLifeUncorked.com
I'm stoked to share Ginny Cataldi’s inspiring story! Art School teacher and bad ass mom by day, crushing TRI’s and making age-group podiums at World Championship races on weekends. Ginny took us out on the course and shared so many powerful stories and the moments that have truly shaped her. And one thing powerfully resonates—gratitude! We GET to do this! We talk coming back to racing after bike crashes, riding in a bikini due to road rash, racing World Champs days after her stitches were removed. In other words, doing whatever it takes to get in the arena and compete for podiums and AG World Championships. We talk about her Kona IM lava field experiences, an amazing story of Pele offerings, metaphysical events, and a stranger she met on the course at her weakest moment. (Or did she?) So much grit and grind...and how it all magically came together at IronMan Maryland for a 2nd place finish and a 9:42! A day where Ginny collapsed shortly after crossing the line and truly left it all out there. Ginny has the fire and passion to be the best, even when it comes to injuries (inside episode joke), and I have no doubt her story will INSPIRE many, including her children! Ginny has such a deep passion for the sport and is all about gratitude and community. I'm honored she shared her story. I'm inspired by her story and hope you all enjoy this convo as much as we did. If you do, it would mean the world to me if you would rate the podcast or write a review and share feedback wherever you get your podcast groove on. The title of today's episode is a quote from Brene Brown that reads "When we Deny Our Stories, they Define Us. When We Own Our Stories, We Get to Write the Ending." Today I dive into why I laugh when people tell me I'm so brave for sharing my story (because for so many years I kept it bottled inside) and how for me, the bravery wasn't in sharing it with others, it was owning my story for myself. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jessi-shuraleff/message

We all like to succeed in life... We all want to ace every test, nail every presentation and win every game we ever play... There is only one problem... It's unrealistic. The more we experience success, the more it becomes expectation which inevitably puts us down a slippery slope which then makes it almost impossible for anybody to maintain balance. During the NCS Texas State Championship, we were down 6 runs heading into the 9th inning... The boys were playing their 3rd game of the day and had already won a nail biter in the quarter finals then slaughtered the number 1 seed in the semis... The kids were running on fumes but simply would not quit!!! They battled for 3 runs and then loaded the bases with 2 outs and the tying run at first and the winning run (who just so happened to be Bam Bam Biscuit who had a walk off knock in the quarter finals) at the plate... 3 mighty hacks later, Biscuit struck out for the first time all tourney and that was the ballgame. As the kids fought back tears, our legendary bench coach Kowalski immediately imparted some brilliant wisdom: “There are winners and there are learners... We GET to be learners today!!!” Of course winning is great, but the experience that these boys got to partake in was simply next level and the fact that they came up short will have them question what they could have done better and focus on what they can improve upon... Oftentimes, winning puts band aids on issues that need to be addressed and we then lose touch with the all important details leading to an inevitable downfall... Yet when we lose and are able to learn from our losses, we have much more of a tendency to address the all important finite issues that need to be cleaned up... There are winners & learners and whether or not we win a lot of times isn't up to us, but whether or not we learn definitely is. -EB P.S. Have you hopped on a Team GoHard Foot Reflexology Board yet?

We’re living in hard times, and so it’s easy to focus on the things we don’t have. The gym that we don’t have any more The friends we don’t get to see because of social distancing The free time we had but now we have the kids at home The motivation we don’t have because we’re stuck inside the house The trips/plans / adventures we no longer have for the summer. And when we start to stack up the things we DON’T have, it’s pretty easy to get bummed out. Frustrated. Upset. Mad. Where focus goes energy flows, and we can’t be in two states at once. I think it’s time to start stacking up the things we do have. We’re ALIVE! I’m writing you this post and you’re reading it. We own phones that connect us to our entire world at our fingertips. We have more time at home to discover ourselves / our passions/ambitions. We GET to spend more time with the people we live with. We have enough money to pay for the roof that’s over our heads right now. Gratitude is the key to overcoming the weight of the coronavirus. “Gratitude isn't a list on your phone, gratitude is a feeling that you have. Gratitude is a feeling of appreciation.” - Brian Mark Ready to Grow Your Fitness Biz? “What you fill your mind up with determines your outcome.”The growth mindset is about your perception, belief system, and viewpoint in which you will either be pushed forward or be held back. The good news? If you’re in a fixed mindset or currently being ‘held back’, it’s not too late to change it! In fact, it’s never too late.On this weeks episode of The Positively Real Podcast, I sit down with the one and only Darleen Santore AKA Coach Dar to discuss all things mindset. Coach Dar is a Board Certified Occupational Therapist, business executive, author and speaker, who is passionate about helping people break through barriers to achieve their goals.Dar has made it her mission to help people say no to the status quo, to raise the bar in their lives, to break free so they can break through, and to reignite their hearts to live a purposeful life.In this episode we discuss: Growth mindset vs. Fixed mindsetMindset reframing to move from fixed to growthKeeping our mind, body, and spirit in consistent fluid motionBrain body connectionExpanding awareness and knowledge to new thingsMe to We/Get to Give shiftsAnd so much more!ACTION STEP: Work on one thing that makes you feel better that will move the needle 1%. It can be as simple as showering, making the bed, or going to bed at a reasonable hour. Remember to give yourself grace. Reminder - It is a comma, not a period. A bad season does not mean a bad life. Topic: Live Your Best Life - The God Girl Edition Living your best life - it’s common phrase these days. There’s FOMO - Fear of Missing Out! YOLO - you only live once, right?! We say these things, but we don’t really follow them, do we? How fun is it to take a selfie, add a filter, and post it on social media for all of our friends, our people to see us living our best lives. We’ve all done it once or twice, or like a million times, right? It’s tempting for us to paint a picture of a life filled with of love, peace, joy, growth, fulfillment, contentment, and confidence for the digital friends. Everybody is out here living, what looks like, their best life! And because what we see is often times perceived as reality, we are now put in the position to try to keep up! Now our lives have to be perfect, too! We have a false perception of what a happy, full life looks like. BUT, If their lives are SO great, we ought to at least present like ours is, too, right? Because the life we have available to us from the Lord, when lived out purposefully and intentionally, is totally one you’ll have FOMO of if you choose not to take advantage of it! YOLO, right?! So we may as well live the abundant life God promised us in His word while we can! God wants us to live our BEST life…but it looks so much differently than the superficial one the enemy magnifies to us everyday through society and social media. Instead of painting a picture, or creating a facade that mimics love, peace, joy, growth, fulfillment, contentment, and purpose, we get to actually live it! We GET to walk in the truth of a life that IS love, peace, joy, growth, fulfillment, contentment, and purpose! Here is what it looks like: ROMANS: Love - Ephesians 3, Romans 8:38-39 Peace - Romans 8:26 Joy - Romans 15:13 Growth - Romans 8:37 Fulfillment/Contentment - Romans 12:2 -Our contentment in life comes from presenting our whole selves to God for His use Purpose - Romans 8:28 -God works through ALL situations to fulfill His purpose in your life --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/simplyfaithfull/message

I love Gina Torres. If she turns out to be evil I don’t know how I will handle my emotions. But is Mrs Grumble in on it? Is she working with Honey to turn up the pressure? Is she part of the group that is killing writers? Tessa Leigh Williams wrote this episode and for that I owe her my first born child. Case 65b - Betty and Alice Alice went through Betty’s mail, she didn’t get into Yale early admission and is taking birth control. And Alice loses her mind. This was some Season 1 Alice Realness. Sidebar can we stop showing smart kids only going to Ivy League schools? Did Harvard and Yale pay off all TV writers that the good kids have to go there? Anyways. Betty goes to the counselor, lol that she NOW wants to get some space from her mom. And Alice crashes the meeting. Kill me. Gina Torres is giving me life. We Get the FIGHT I HAVE BEEN WAITING 4 YEARS FOR. Betty lists out all the shit, all the shit she has put up with and the insanity that is Alice Cooper’s maternal whiplash. The overparenting, the lies, the abandoning, it is sickening in this laundry list. Alice accidentally admits, “I love you more. I love you most” and runs out. Later at the house, Alice is making dinner and directs Betty to the mail pile. Betty picks up a thicker envelope from Yale (did she just not get in early admin? Did alice lie about her not getting into yale?) that is unopened and a check for Betty’s college fund. Betty says “I love you most too Mom” but the pickings are slim. Case 70 Archie Andrews Archie gets monologuing, and then she tells him that he is addicted to trying to save people. He flips out and screams “I am not an idiot” which is the easiest way to communicate that you are in fact not a calm rational adult. I thought she finally got through to him, but JOKES ON ME because Archie takes all this advice about not putting himself in danger and moves out of the house. Sets up the tip line #YouAreNotAlone (THIS IS A TRAP) and at the first sign of danger goes after it with a baseball bat Sidebar: Fred was not a community man. He did not care about cleaning up the streets. Archie has invented a mission from his dead father. Case 72 Cheryl Blossom that was an accident It would be okay if you told me it wasn’t I LOVE THIS EPISODE SO FUCKING MUCH, AND THIS IS THE BEST PLOTLINE Sidebar: Toni is reading the haunting of hill house, is she moving the doll? Also Cheryl says the word taxidermy, how do you do that to a body? Also they need a coach, do you mean Cheryl has been doing all of this herself?? Case 75 Veronica Luna GINA TORRES IS THE BEST. Veronica and Hiram are obsessed with each other. oh my god “You willingly live at home, you come calling every time he asks” YES. SPEAK.TRUTH.TO.POWER Veronica takes none of this to heart. She is going to start her own Rum business. (play back the tapes I called this last week) to metaphorically kill her dad. Which is the opposite of what Gina Torres Our Lord and Savior was saying Case 77 Jughead Jones Because of Riverdale we know that Jughead is right and there is a massive coverup involving the writers of the Baxter Boys but DAMN did it feel good for him to learn his place. And thank god Gina told him to think about FP because we get the hottest wettest moment of the series. Which is FP saying Boy! And then embracing Jughead with love. UGH let me cry in peace Flashforward. Dana and Brett are identifying the Murderous Three as the people who killed Jughead.

Paul is a creative through and through. While his parents were busy at work, Paul spent most of his days with his grandmother and great aunt, where his creative wish was their desire. They baked, crafted, sewed, and took him antique shopping. This foundation in his youth was the introduction for his life's work. He believes perfection is boring and we couldn’t agree more. Listen in and be swept away by his story. Show notes for this episode: SHOW NOTES Visit wegettoknow.com to explore original and guest related content and to learn more about our podcasts and guests. Today...the WRITE practice that can change your life. On My Mind We start with a story. How my Monday Magic Zoom call with Xanthe wasn't quite magical. (or maybe it was). A call to consider who your Xanthe is? Do you have a safe friend to connect and share your dreams and desires? A friend who 'gets you'...no matter what? We will dig deeper into this in an upcoming episode. In the meantime, if you're not quite sure who this is or who this could be, I invite you to get on the page, plant the seed and expect she/he will find you. Some of my dearest soul-friends are far away, but thanks to the wonders of tech we can chat every day. Just when you least expect it you may find that person. The how is none of your business. Last fall I went to a life coach training and met the most amazing friend. We 'walk and talk' and zoom lots. We GET each other completely. If I didn't take that leap and book that flight... I never ever would have met her. You just never know! Ok...so after my funky Monday and Tuesday too...came Wednesday. I asked the page 'I wonder what can I do to get out of this funk?' "I wonder"….. is a powerful way to start your daily writing. Anyhow the answer came (not immediately on the page). It was after, in the shower. The best answers come on the page, the shower or on my walks. How 'bout you? The answer: was NOT do this or more of that… it was…. give yourself some grace, take some time to be still and recharge today And so I did. I stayed home most of the day. On my bed, surrounded by books and paper, pens. my Mac. I didn’t leave til my late afternoon walk. I wrote, I read, I studied, I dreamed, I mind-mapped. My word, how I needed that. Do you give yourself time to re-charge? What are your no matter whats in life? Hang tight for a future episode on getting clear on your no-matter-whats? You must know this, my friend. On the Page Anyhow, This me-time lead me back to Julia Cameron’s work - The Artist way. She invites us to write 3 long-hand pages every day. Morning Pages This is what I am begging encouraging you to do? Daily stream of consciousness writing on the page every day… 3 pages… in the morning…. Will you join me? Question: If you knew this practice could change your life, bring you more clarity, peace, positivity…. creativity…. Would you do it? I believe it truly can. You can decide to go all in and believe this too. Join me…. let’s do this….. Let’s change our lives. Your Questions I get this question a lot. 'Kim, I'm scared someone may read my writing. Any suggestions?' Suggestions loopy, overlapping handwriting... or goodnotes/notability on your iPad or tablet using the Apple pencil or stylus.
