Reach out! I'd love to hear from you! What happens when decorating for a women's ministry event turns into a profound spiritual revelation? Join us for a heart-warming exploration of how stained glass becomes the perfect metaphor for our spiritual lives.Joanne Sharp takes us on her journey from Pinterest rabbit holes to divine inspiration, discovering that stained glass—unlike any other art form—requires light to pass through it to achieve its full beauty. This simple fact unlocks a powerful truth: we are like pieces of stained glass, each uniquely shaped and colored by our experiences, yet dependent on God's light shining through us to radiate His glory. The custom-made illuminated cross becomes a centerpiece not just for the event, but for understanding our connection to each other. When one piece of glass cracks or breaks, the surrounding pieces hold it in place. Similarly, even in our darkest moments, our sisters in Christ alongside us provide strength, support, and an unbreakable connection to the source of light. From Genesis where God first created light to Revelation where His radiance eliminates the need for sun or lamps, Joanne guides us through Scripture's consistent message of divine illumination. Jesus declared Himself the light, then called us to be light-bearers too. This gives us reason to sing even in darkness, knowing His unfailing love continually illuminates our path.Whatever shadow you're facing today, remember that God's light transforms brokenness into beauty. Together, we become a living stained glass masterpiece—colorful testimonies to God's redemptive work. Subscribe to hear more inspirational messages that help you find light in life's darkest corners and join a community of women supporting each other in faith. In this thought-provoking episode, Tayler and our guest speaker Daniella Kirk dive into a surprising discovery about The Brick Bible, also known as the LEGO Bible. While it may seem like a fun, family-friendly way to explore Scripture, they uncover that it focuses heavily on only the most shocking parts of the Bible, missing the message of God's love, redemption, and grace. Tayler and Daniella discuss why it's essential to know the whole story of Scripture to truly understand God's character and why picking and choosing certain parts can give a distorted view. Send us a Text Message. In this episode, host Bridgette Tomlin and her guest Crystal Williams tackle the "modest is hottest" mantra, talk about what true modesty actually is, how to teach the generation behind us more about it, and what the risks and rewards are in speaking truth when it's easier to remain silent. Is modesty just about how long your shorts are, or how low-cut your blouse is? What does modesty of the heart look like? Take a listen and pass this crucial conversation along to another momma, youth pastor, women's ministries leader, or young adult you're leading.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Crystal is a happy wife and the mother of two vibrant, highly imaginative children. She likes to refer to herself as the “Williams Home Engineer”. She is the homeschool teacher to her children and her passions include transforming mundane moments into magical experiences. Crystal adores everything “Southern”, as is evident in her personality, her humble character and her “Old Soul” charm. Her home is where she's most comfortable; however, where she thrives is in her ability to lift spirits and bring hope to whomever she encounters.Although Crystal has faced numerous, difficult challenges throughout her life, God has proven Himself faithful through it all. Her life and those of her beautiful family are the evidence of God's hand upon them. They are walking miracles. Crystal is full of faith and this is expressed through her fervency in worship towards God. All of this coupled with a lifetime of serving in ministry and the gifts in which she walks, gives Crystal the unique disposition to minister in a way which encourages, challenges and simply softens hearts.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Connect with today's guest, Crystal Williams:IG: @crystal_firey_williamsEmail: crystalfireywilliams@gmail.comFeatured:Give LTS a Rating + Review!Life on Loneliness Island Blog SeriesMany thanks to our host, Bridgette Tomlin, and engineer Justin Lynn of Justin Lynn Music. Last episode, we talked about how we not only need to invite God into what we are doing, but we also need to be aware that God might be inviting us into what He is doing. In order to walk in step with God, we need to allow His Spirit who dwells within us to lead us, guide us, and transform us to be more like Him. In today's episode, we'll talk about what life led by the Holy Spirit looks like (and what it doesn't) and how to stay connected to God as our source of life. If you've ever felt like being a Christian was a list of do's and don'ts, this episode is for you. The Spirit-led life is one of joy and freedom. We can't wait to share it with you. Do all things work together for our good? Today's guest, attorney, author, and entrepreneur Gina G. Parker, helps us discover how all things can work to bless us even when we face life's trials. Gina G. Parker is an attorney and a successful businesswoman as well as an author and speaker for churches and women's groups. Gina and her staff view the law practice as a ministry and share the love of Christ with those who enter the doors of her business. Realizing a lifetime dream of owning a manufacturing company, Ms. Parker in 2001 founded Dental Creations, a dental manufacturing company, while continuing her general law practice. The company was founded with a vision to support missions, help women in crisis, and give second chances to criminal defendants through employment. Ms. Parker has voluntarily donated her legal services to help families and churches in crisis. She speaks at Sexual Abuse Recovery Seminars and has served as a board member for the Waco Family Abuse Center. Currently, she leads Hands of Hope International ministry. She and her family helped to purchase a Hungarian television station that reaches approximately 5 million homes with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Gina how she endured many personal crises, including infertility. She shares how scripture passages offered her the hope she needed to persevere. Parker notes that many people abandon their faith when facing hardships. She offers hope and encouragement to her legal clients. But she also noticed their suffering and challenges, so she took action and established a business to help provide jobs and second chances for those in need. When circumstances get overwhelming, Parker offers the following advice: Separate the important from the unimportant. Spend time in prayer and scriptural study. Dwell in God's presence and turn stress over to him. We discuss the difference between all things working out as we hoped and all things working for good. Gina outlines how to cope with the unexpected by defining the path as an alternate plan instead of an end. She states that God still has a plan even when things don't turn out as we expected. We can find peace, joy, and purpose in our relationship with Jesus, not in success or circumstances. Parker acknowledges the pain of our tragedies is real. We discuss walking through the reality of struggle. She states that it is hard to persevere and "count it all joy." Gina recommends holding onto scriptures like 1 Thessalonians 5:17, which advises us to pray without ceasing. She also offers the following strategies to get through life's storms: Realize that God is both good and faithful. Acknowledge the world is broken. God is still good. God is love. Recognize the enemy's plan to deceive and destroy us. Declare your trust in God aloud. Denounce Satan's lies. Hang onto life-giving core beliefs that honor God. Recognize the enemy uses fear to assault our minds. Renew your mind at the onset of and during life's trials. Post encouraging verses where you'll see them. Parker states, "Truth is the greatest defender in the face of tragedy." We discuss how to recognize when we've misplaced our trust and believed a lie. Gina shares her personal story of overcoming sexual abuse by partnering with God's truth instead of shame lies. Gina shares some of her favorite scriptures, including Romans 8. She notes the power of speaking the truth over yourself aloud. We discuss how to handle difficult people. Parker explains that anger does not work for our benefit. She states that our best responses to those who won't listen are silence and prayer. Changing the mindset of someone with an obstinate heart is unlikely to happen with words. Prayer can change us for the better even if the situation doesn't change. Parker shares about her upcoming mission trip to Hungary, where she helped purchase a Christian television station to bring the message of hope to millions. Over the past couple of episodes, we have been talking lately about revival and what everyday Kingdom living looks like. Today, we wanted to take some time to tell you how Revive Ministries got started and why grounding our identity in Christ is so important to living Kingdom life and experiencing revival in our everyday lives. So many women struggle with experiencing abundant life because we live in a world that makes it hard to see our own belovedness and value. It can be a struggle to know who we are and where we are going, let alone who God is. But when our identity is grounded in Christ, it changes everything! Hosted by Summer Shore and Melissa Campbell. She also tells how you can make a difference in the lives of others, too. It's not hard, and it shouldn't be scary, and Ruth shares practical ways we can pour into the lives of others. Once you hear our conversation, you'll feel like Ruth is your best friend. And if you don't already know her, you'll want to. Enjoy our conversation!

Is your goal in life to be happy? For many Christians in America, the answer is YES. Is there anything wrong with that? Shanda breaks down the worldview held by many Christians in America, and spoiler alert - it's not a bilbical one. She also talks about how the new Emotional Junkie quiz just dropped and how it helps put into perspective where our emotions belong, how to approach Bible study, and what women can do to keep emotionalism out of women's ministry. We go behind the scenes of a pro-life women's clinic today to understand the hardship of an unplanned pregnancy. How should Christians handle situations where a woman contemplates having an abortion? How do we show the love of Christ and help them understand the aftermath of the decision to abort their baby? Adrienne Patterson is the executive director of Pregnant Choices Medical Clinic and she shares how her pregancy center is not only there before women decide if they will keep their babies, they are there even if they don't. What happens when ONE person takes a stand when no one else will? There aren't a lot of brave ONEs out there who defy the popular narrative and become a target because they stand up and speak the truth. Our culture nurtures acceptance and authenticity as a way to show love and respect, but do you have to accept the popular narrative in order to prove you're loving? Humans crave acceptance. We want to belong. That's one reason it's so difficult to break away from the crowd. It's easy to go with the flow. Shanda talks about the crowd and the dangers of blending in. When you read the New Testament, the crowd is a character itself because no one is known in the crowd. Everyone in the crowd moves at the same pace, shouts the same words, and doesn't take a stand on anything. She shares real life stories of those in recent days who have taken a stand and gives examples of those in the Bible who did too. And though no one knows the results of the stance they take at the time, they always have one thing in common. Can you be the ONE? Long before podcasting was a thing, blogging took over the world. It's both fun and sobering to go back on the internet search and find articles, blog posts and pieces that Sue Duffield has written over the years. Go ahead - we dare you - just google Sue Duffield blogspot, and you'll get more that you'll ever want or need! Now we're not saying that podcasting or vloging has taken over her medium of writing, but we will say that Sue doesn't do it quite as often as she used to. Thirteen years ago, Sue wrote this post called “The Patty Duke Flu”, and since the new year gave her a bought of upper respiratory craziness, we thought it would be fun to revisit that blogpost, and maybe add a few spiritual and historical facts at the end. So, if you started off the new year feeling under the weather or suffering a serious illness, you surely will want to listen to this hopeful episode today. www.sueduffield.com

Sue Duffield's journey of never meeting a stranger has given her some of her greatest material in her comedic world. Carrying the countenance of the Holy Spirit on your face and in your body language is the definition of a true follower of Christ. But sometimes, there's not a lot of joy on the inside that can translate to the outside with most people. It's like you can really stand out in the crowd if you have any kind of positve energy vibe at all. Here's a fun and hopefully inspirational episode about just that - being a beacon of God's Light to a unique time in our world. Do you have a Jesus face? Hope so. www.sueduffield.com

Maybe it's a good thing that we don't know a lot about the lives we've affected or influenced. But when you find out that a young person started their faith journey simply because you were part of a team of Jesus People mis-fits back in the 70s, it can be quite humbling. This episode reflects how even the work of Dr. Seuss and "Green Eggs and Ham" can challenge the Christian into breaking out of their norm. Things that maybe you didn't know, like, "do green eggs and ham really taste good?" Possibly, according to Sam-I-Am. We don't know until we try them. Be challenged today, according to Isaiah 43, "Do not remember the former things, or consider the things of old. I am about to do a new thing.." And back in 1974, Sue Duffield had no idea and didn't know how her life would make an impact. There are just some things you don't know about that new thing. www.sueduffield.com

Is there a wrong way to study the Bible? Many women desire a depth of theolgy and knowledge of God, but they don't know how to get there. The concensus with many women's ministries is shallow teaching that doesn't get to the heart of most women's hunger to go deeper with God. Sarah Rogers, a pastor's wife and women's minstry leader, is on the show to talk about the right and wrong way to study the Bible and why theology is for women too.
