Podcast Party is a monthly live show at the Pack Theater in Los Angeles in which 3 podcasts get 15 min each to perform mini versions of their sets. We forgot to upload last month's show. Enjoy it now! This month: 1. IMDWeed Jon Durnell (@jondurnell) and Kelly McInerney (@hollyweirdo) host this Boardwalk Audio podcast where they get stoned with a guest, go to the movies, then dissect the film immediately after. You don't have to smoke weed to enjoy the pod, but you should enjoy watching movies. Who knows? Maybe an episode will entice you to watch a movie you wouldn't normally like! New episodes every other Tuesday! For more info check out our twitter @imdweed and www.imdweed.com 2. The Final Edition Angry chunks of comedy - featuring multi-generational talents from The Daily Show, The Tonight Show (with Jay Leno), Air America Radio, Morning Sedition with Marc Maron, Cracked-dot-com, @midnight, The Five Lesbian Brothers, Stan Against Evil and Conan. 3. Connecting the Classics (Lee Robinson and Will Hagle) Weekly radio show in which Will Hagle and Lee Robinson connect two classic albums together using tangential references, Kevin Bacon-style. But then we get into the hit sitcom Frasier, discussing its nature as a spinoff from Cheers, the fun of seeing Frasier explode after getting so frustrated, depiction of radio and therapy on television, the cast of characters, the interplay of different social statuses and snobbery, and Frasier’s place in the hierarchy of great sitcoms. It's the final installment of our special series, "Rocktober but Actually Novemby (and a Little Bit of Decemby)" because Mushrooms make a music unlike any other, man. Josh first discusses the ideal mushroom situation: do it with people who are experienced, in a safe place, in a safe dosage, on Black Friday. He argues that in this ideal situation, mushrooms are can both deepen relationships and provide a catalyst for life-changing revelations. Josh views mushrooms as a sporadically-used tool to achieve these ends. In this way, Josh argues that mushrooms are not just a recreational drug for purely recreational means.  Along the way we also chat about Wilco, Black Friday, hiking, institutionalism, 50 First Dates, and Songwriting. IT’S FINALLY HAPPENING. After nearly 100 episodes, Stephen finally gets his day in the sun where he has carte blanche to bring in a fellow hater, all in an effort to try to convince Nick and the YLSW Universe that “You Should HATE Wrestling”! To do this, he enlists the help of writer, comedian and former-fan-turned-hater Brian Rubinow (Fat Wolf Comedy, The Night Cap with Stacy Rumaker). Brian talks about the match that made him tune out: the Hell in a Cell Title vs. Career match between Triple H and Cactus Jack from WWF No Way Out 2000. Plus, in the spirit of the episode, Nick finally shows Stephen the thing he hates the most: the rightfully maligned 2002 Katie Vick saga from WWF including the full buildup, in-ring segments and the infamous, barftastic “Triple H dresses up as Kane and screws a dummy” segment. Stephen would like to note, Brian is in no way a wrestling hater. He’s a wrestling fan who didn’t like the booking of a match, which is not the same thing. Mikey McCollor (@MikeyMcCollor) loves wrestling so much he did it! What is this, an episode of “You Should Love Wrestling?” No, it’s Convince Me. Check your podcast titles, sheesh. Mikey takes the guys through his favorite moments, from Stone Cold Steve Austin’s “heel turn” from a “babyface” to a “heel” (this episode is rife with delicious lingo) to CM Punk’s gradual changes. Along the way we hear of Mikey’s own experience as a professional wrestler and get a front row seat to some of his pre-match banter. Mikey is really passionate about wrestling and it shows. We also learn a weird way to intimidate people in the same way that Stone Cold Steve Austin did—incessantly saying the word “what.” We also play a fun round of First Impressions, and talk about what Geoff must be sounding like while he’s in New York, Baby.   Follow Mikey on twitter @MikeyMcCollor.   Rate and review us on iTunes if you can, and check out our page on Boardwalk Audio. HELLO? SKEETER? ARE YOU OUT THERE?!?!Matt and Eileen still have no idea where Skeeter is, so they've brought in Cassi Jerkins (Dumb Nerds Podcast) to help them crack this case. The three of them watched Season 2, episode 7 of the Muppet Babies ("I Want My Muppet TV!") and looked for clues. Along the way, they discussed Muppet puberty, which Muppet baby would be the best improviser, and they even held...a seance!? But did they find Skeeter? Listen and find out!
