In this energizing episode, Chandell Labbozzetta tackles sales psychology and techniques to overcome sales anxiety and build confidence.    Chandell is the author of the book, “Confident Closing: Sales Secrets That Grew a Business by 400% in Six Months and How They Can Work for You!” She's a master trainer of neurolinguistic programming, a sales strategist, and a confidence maker. Now, confidence matters because success comes from the inside. Her purpose is to inspire confidence in others so that they can make empowered decisions.    Chandell's knowledge of psychology has helped orient people to understand accountability, ownership, and responsiveness when it comes to themselves and how they respond to the marketplace.  She has dedicated her life to motivating and training high performers to achieve new levels of success, by working on the root causes of anxiety and underperformance.  Key Topics Confidence is a Learned Skill: Chandell believes that building confidence comes from focus, knowing your outcome, and working out steps or habits you want to embody. Shifting Focus on Your Victories: Our minds are the harshest critics and carry our anxiety. Instead of focusing on what didn't go well or the way you expected, focus on the wins. The 80/20 Rule: 80% Psychology and 20% sales. Believing in the outcomes of what you sell can affect how it projects. Sale of Influence: Chandell believes in the power of mindset and how our conviction toward something can instill confidence and motivate others. Life-changing question: How can I find a way? Chandell asks herself this question to let herself focus and find what keeps her moving forward, regardless of the situation.   Resources:  Chandell's social media: LinkedIn Life Puzzle - Check out Chandell's site where you can get her book and book a call with her Get a free audiobook of Chandell's Confident Closing in this link! “Yes, change is hard to manage and process at any level which is why I always recommend that you give change in bite-sized pieces. Bring people along the way.” Chandell Shorter, Senior Consultant of Change Management, Corcentric   Change, especially large-scale change, can be hard, overwhelming, or even scary for some people, but it's also an inevitable part of life and work. Procurement professionals often find themselves at the very center of critical change management projects, leading change around processes, technology, talent management, and skills development, all of which can have profound effects on the company morale and culture. How can procurement lead the business through this change without implementing it in a way that it backfires or creates resistance?  In this episode, based on an AOP Live session, Chandell Shorter, Senior Consultant of Change Management at Corcentric, and Joe Payne, SVP Source-to-Pay at Corcentric, discussed everything procurement should know about change management with host Kelly Barner.  They covered: How to create meaningful communication and training strategies that help drive change and generate support from across the business Why it's so important to frontload engagement and communication at the project level  Ways to lower common risks associated with change management, like personnel loss, concerns over cost and ROI, resistance, and skills gaps How the company's past relationship to change should inform procurement's approach   Links: Chandell Shorter on LinkedIn Joe Payne on LinkedIn Watch the live session here.

There's no question that Las Vegas is the entertainment capital of the world, and all through the city's history, it's played host to some of the most legendary acts of all time. Some names come to mind instantly, like The Rat Pack...Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin & Sammy Davis Jr.  There's Mr. Las Vegas, Wayne Newton who's been headlining in Vegas since the mid-1960's.  And of course, there's the King Of Rock N' Roll, Elvis Presley who sold out a record 636 shows at the International Hotel (later, the Las Vegas Hilton). One of the enduring problems faced by humanity over the centuries is global poverty. An exciting development in the last century is the rapid economic growth in developed nations that provides us with an opportunity to address extreme poverty like never before. The issue is figuring out how to relieve poverty in the best and most sustainable way. I believe that one of the absolute best groups doing poverty alleviation is Compassion International. They work in developing nations around the world by partnering with local churches to provide material needs and resources to children. Their program is efficiently run and has an amazing success rate. In this episode, I had the pleasure of talking with an alumnus of their program David Wangaka. David Wangaka is passionate about understanding and alleviating social injustices, advocating for the vulnerable, and eradicating extreme poverty. His story is a beautiful picture of full-circle redemption: this man who has dedicated his life to at-risk children was once an at-risk child himself. Raised in the shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Kenya, David knows all too well the challenges of extreme poverty, the volatility of an alcoholic father, and the grief of losing his mother at a young age. When he was sponsored into Compassion's child development program at ten years old, the healthcare, education, and nutrition he received changed his life significantly. After high school, David was invited to participate in Compassion's leadership development program. This made it possible for him to pursue a college education, graduating from the University of Nairobi with a double major in Political Science and Sociology. He has an MBA from Louisiana University in Shreveport. A charismatic and engaging communicator, David is a sought-after speaker in the areas of international development, social justice, and sustainable poverty alleviation. He shares from his own experiences about the impact of poverty, the transformative value of hope, and how to trust God through difficult times. David works at Compassion International as a Sponsor and Donor Relations Supervisor. He lives in Porterville, California, with his wife Chandell and their three sons, Shalom, Amani, and David Jr. Get started with child sponsorship today: https://cintl.us/aaronshamp Check out the full show notes for highlights and resources from this episode: https://tinyurl.com/David-wangaka SUPPORT THIS PODCAST: PayPal: https://paypal.me/AaronShamp?locale.x=en_US Venmo: @AaronShamp Cash App: $AaronShamp –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Track: Perseverance — Land of Fire [Audio Library Release] Music provided by Audio Library Plus Watch: https://youtu.be/Ue48lJLVA30Free Download / Stream: https://alplus.io/perseverance–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Once upon a time, a young woman named Chandell and a young woman named Laurel were placed in the same dorm room at East Carolina University. It was the first time either of them had left home and lived on their own and they were pretty nervous. Fortunately for them (unfortunately for the rest of the world) it didn't take long for them to discover the wide world of possibilities around the college campus. They danced around the campus at all hours of the day and night and met interesting people and learned new stuff and Chandell never strangled Laurel even once for eating all of her cheese ritz bits. After college, they both met what they thought were knights in shining armor (but turned out to be only idiots in tinfoil) who both asked the women to marry them and they ultimately said NO. So they both lived happily ever after as single moms; kept kicking ass, even when it was hard and they were exhausted; and only stopped dancing long enough to talk about all of that right here on this podcast.

On this episode of the Early Accountability Podcast, our guest is Chandell Stone, founder of Destination Teach. During grad school, Chandell became aware of a school in rural Kenya that was in need of a little TLC. She and a friend came up with the idea to send a group of myelinated volunteers who would pay their own way to serve the school and spend some time getting to know the culture and people of Kenya. Destination Teach has since become an organization and has continued to send approximately 100 participants per year to Kenya and Morocco, and they will initiate a trip to Haiti this year. Chandell and the trip participants have found this trip to be mutually beneficial, as the participants are able to visit the homeland of their ancestors and native Africans are able to get to know the African-American culture a bit better. In the future, Chandell hopes to create some university partnerships and a gap year program for boys, as well as continue to work of sustainable development in Kenya through scholarships, projects such as libraries, and training for the teachers at the schools they serve.
