Tristan James told Gary Hardgrave on 4BC Drive, "Late on Sunday, I get this email from Facebook saying, hello, Mr. James, we're sorry we mistakenly took down your Facebook page. We're putting it back up. We're sorry about the inconvenience it may have caused your business." "No reason as to why. It could still happen again without me knowing," Mr James continued. This week, the Black Lincoln Collective Podcast hits you with Episode 136, where the usual suspects, Parker, Fred, and Alan (the sound wizard), get serenaded by none other than the velvet-voiced Landon James This episode is no ordinary chat; it's a full-blown Elvis experience with a modern twist. Our hosts dive into a medley of discussions, from the wild predictions of celebrity boxing matches to the intimate tales of gigging at senior homes and Legion Halls. The BLC crew gets a front-row seat to Landon's life on the road, his staggering 158 shows last year, and the heartfelt connection he shares with his audience. But it's not all Elvis and spotlights; the team also gets down and dirty with a hilariously cringe-worthy game of "Would You Rather." From the dilemma of socks versus underwear to the conundrum of being puked on by your hero, this segment will have you in stitches and questioning your life choices. And just when you think it can't get any better, Landon James graces your ears with a live performance that will transport you to the heart of Graceland. This episode is a blend of laughter, nostalgia, and the sweet sound of success. #BLCpodcast #Episode136 #ElvisLives #LandonJames #WouldYouRatherWildness #OnTheRoadAgain #blcpodcast #podcastingforthepeople #funny #podcast #greenvillesc #scpodcast #yeahthatgreenville Listen at: https://blc.world/ Tweet the Show: https://twitter.com/blcworld Follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/blcpodcast/ Check us out on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/blcpodcast/ Buy Fred and Allan Beer: https://www.patreon.com/blcworld  (00:00) Intro (00:59) The only podcast that called the Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul fight 95 episodes ago (02:01) Landon: Who do you think will win the Mike Tyson Jake Paul fight (04:12) Last year, Landon booked 158 shows (05:31) Landon says Jim Carrey did an impression of Elvis on stage (09:12) We need to work on booking Landon James eta (09:52) You've been doing some competitions, but you weren't talking about them (14:29) There's always those commercials. This week we welcome Ryan Pelton as Elvis! Ryan Pelton is an international, award winning, Elvis tribute artist, actor, and singer/songwriter. He often refers to himself as the "Forest Gump" of the ETA world, and claims to have been blessed with an extraordinary amount of dumb luck. In September of 1998, Ryan Pelton was dared by his mother to enter a local Elvis contest in Columbus, OH. At the time, Ryan was building websites for a living. Ryan didn't grow up in an "Elvis" household. He knew little about the King of rock-n-roll, except for the fact that adults in public often said he looked like a "young Elvis" growing up. Despite only having one week to prepare, Ryan entered the contest and against all odds, he won. "I remember having to write the lyrics on my hand because I wasn't familiar with any of the songs. And keep in mind, I had never sang before in my life before that first contest. Pelton's days as a website designer were soon over, as he wanted to pursue the entertainment world, saying, "I don't want to be ninety years old one day and look back saying, "what if?'" Over the next decade, Pelton honed his craft becoming an international, award-winning Elvis Tribute Artist. In 2001 Pelton was declared the "World Champion" when he won the Worldwide Images of the King Contest in Memphis, TN. He has performed all over the world, from casinos to fairs, theaters to festivals, production shows to professional sports arenas. Entertaining audiences in the tens-of-thousands, there can be no doubt that Ryan Pelton is the rarest kind of performer – living up to his billing time and time again. Legends in Concert is located along the famous 76 Strip and has been a part of the Branson entertainment scene over two decades. Two power-packed hours of fabulous entertainment awaits you! This world famous live tribute show features an amazing cast of all-star entertainers assembled on one stage in one of the most sought after productions in the world. Daniel also shares stories about his encounters with both Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker. You won't want to miss this episode. You can learn more about the show by visiting https://www.1996musical.com/ and @1996musical. You can follow Daniel on Instagram @danieldurston. From the CBS hit reality TV show Big Brother, Daniel Durston is an award winning Elvis Tribute Artist from Legends in Concert in Las Vegas. He has gone on to originate the role of Elvis Presley in two world premieres: Elvis The Musical and Million Dollar Quartet Christmas. Originally from the Inland Empire, Daniel grew up a musical theatre kid and an avid pop-punk music fan. He began his professional career touring with Nickelodeon stars Victoria Justice and Max Schenider, went on to tour in three Broadway musicals as well as two years on The Vans Warped tour. For the last ten years he's created a show that would not only encompass his favorite styles of music but also a story driven book based on his personal life while honoring the humor and accolades of San Diego based Pop-Punk band Blink-182. Biography In the Beginning... Charlie Dunn was born and raised in Yorktown, Virginia the youngest of four boys. He was probably about five years old when his older brother exposed him to playing music. His brother played the drums and guitar showing him to a new world of artists that Charlie had never heard. One of those artists happened to be Elvis Presley. Once Charlie heard his first Elvis song he begged his mother to buy Elvis's album . Elvis In Person at the International Hotel. Charlie took the opportunity to wear the record out, listening to songs over and over doing his best to emulate his idol. While Charlie admired The King, he was very shy and it would be high school before he showed off his talent for singing. Charlie's first Singing gig happened as a result of him missing a Senior Class Day planning meeting, where his fellow committee members conveniently volunteered Charlie to be the opening musical act as Jake Blues of the famous Blues Brothers. It was Charlie's first show, where he learned how fulfilling performing could be, however it would be three years before Charlie had the opportunity to pay tribute to his idol... Elvis Presley. He decided he wanted to be Elvis for Halloween and promptly enlisted his mom to make him a jumpsuit fit for a King. He was approached at the Halloween party by an individual seeking an Elvis Impersonator, and agreed to perform for a local business. Word of mouth spread about the performance and other engagements soon followed. Charlie has developed into an extremely versatile Elvis Tribute Artist, able to perform all eras of Elvis's career, including The Classic 1950's Young Elvis, The Movies Elvis, The 1968 comeback Elvis, and of course the infamous Jumpsuit Elvis. Charlie's voice is rich and naturally lends itself to Elvis's singing style.

I met Steve Elliott when I was filming an event at the Kelowna Yacht Club in British Columbia, Canada in 2018.   Steve is a world class tribute artist, vocalist, and entertainer from Vancouver BC.  Steve also excels in other voices such as Neil Diamond, Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash, Nat King Cole, Jerry Lee Lewis and others!   In addition to being a tribute artist, Steve is also an accomplished acrylic painter and water-color artist.   On this episode we're going to talk about:   How he got his accidental start from a comment he made at a karaoke bar about someone else's rendition of Elvis. How his upbringing created the foundation for a side hobby as an acrylic and watercolor painter. How the covid crisis has changed his life in positive ways, even with the cancellation of much of his business. But most of all, we're going to talk about the heartfelt kindness towards others which is in all of us ...if we choose to. I'm honored to have him as my first guest on Visible Kindness. The gist of the story though is about how these performers are riding the coat tails of a dead man. Even though there may be a market for this sort of thing, the idea that there are those who are actively making a living off of someone else's creativity and hard work is kind of wrong, in Ric's opinion.
