In light of the terror attack against our National Guardsmen allegedly at the hands of a “vetted” Afghan refugee, I lay down a marker for Trump to finally fulfill his promise of a moratorium. Although he once against promised to shut off third-world migration, I go through the numbers from his 19-country list to show how he is omitting some of the countries from which we admit the most Sharia-adherent Muslims. It's not about vetting, diplomatic relations with the sending countries, or reliable databases. I prove how you can't vet Islamic migrants when the Sharia mindset and adherence are the bigger problem. We also go back to the 2019 attack on the Pensacola naval base to show how Trump must also fulfill his promise of arming our soldiers domestically. It appears that the Guardsmen were not carrying loaded magazines. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

In this Monday Headline Brief of The Wright Report, Bryan covers the nation's grief and anger after the Washington terror attack, the deepening crisis within America's immigration system, and President Trump's most sweeping border actions yet. He also examines the political backlash, the debate over assimilation, and the global pressures shaping events from Europe to Venezuela. America Mourns and Demands Answers: Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe remains in critical condition while Specialist Sarah Beckstrom is laid to rest after last week's terror attack in Washington. DHS confirmed the attacker, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, was a former CIA-backed Afghan Zero Unit fighter who was radicalized after arrival in the United States. Investigators say he drifted between Washington State, Arizona, and the East Coast with little oversight, revealing systemic vetting failures across multiple administrations. Vetting Breakdown Exposed: Inspector General reports show that over two hundred thousand Afghans brought into the country during the 2021 evacuation were admitted with almost no reliable databases, poor ID verification, and limited interagency cooperation. None received continual vetting after entry. Bryan explains why "strict vetting" is a political myth and why U.S. systems remain unable to verify criminal history, ideology, or cultural fit for many migrants. Trump Orders the Most Sweeping Immigration Freeze in Decades: The President has paused all asylum applications, halted Afghan visa processing, and instructed his team to permanently pause migration from Third World nations to reset the system. Green card and citizenship requests from nineteen countries are suspended. Trump is also considering the denaturalization of foreign-born citizens who fail loyalty or cultural compatibility standards. Legal scholars note that Section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act grants the President broad authority to take such steps. Political Firestorm and Cultural Divide: Republicans and most Independents support a historic crackdown, while Democrats accuse Trump of racism and xenophobia. Some leaders, including Representative Jasmin Crockett and Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz, blamed the National Guard deployments for the attack. Bryan argues that many progressive lawmakers reject assimilation because they reject the idea of American culture itself, pointing to recent examples in education, media, and politics. College Degrees Lose Appeal: New polling shows only 33 percent of Americans believe a four-year degree is worth the cost. Interest in vocational training and maritime careers is rising as tuition increases outpace wages. Maritime academies report that graduates earn more than $200,000 a year after six months of work. The Autopen Controversy: President Trump announced he is canceling all executive actions signed by Joe Biden through the autopen, citing concerns that Biden did not authorize their use. The Justice Department may soon bring cases that will force the Supreme Court to clarify the legality of autopen approvals. Debate Over Unlawful Orders Heats Up: Reports claim Secretary of War Pete Hegseth ordered a second strike on a cartel boat. Hegseth denies it. Senator Mark Kelly suggested troops should rely on intuition when evaluating orders, which critics warn could lead to chaos and politicized discipline. The issue may shape U.S. operations in the Caribbean. Global Flashpoints: Venezuela and Europe: Trump rejected demands from Venezuela's Nicolás Maduro for guaranteed amnesty and military control as part of an exit deal. Maduro may attempt a guerrilla resistance if forced out. In Europe, Islamist protests are disrupting Christmas markets in Belgium and Germany, where security costs have surged. France's populist movement is surging in polls as crime tied to migrants fuels public frustration. Portugal's populist party Chega is also now tied for first place in national polling. Medical News: A major UK study finds that weight loss drugs like Mounjaro and Zepbound must be taken long-term to maintain results, with many patients regaining most of the weight after stopping treatment. You're listening to American Ground Radio with Stephen Parr and Louis R. Avallone. This is the full show for November 26, 2025. 0:30 We break down the situation unfolding in Portland, Oregon. The state’s attorney general is threatening to prosecute federal agents for enforcing federal law on federal property, even as Antifa-aligned mobs wreak havoc in Portland. It’s a political standoff turning into a constitutional showdown, raising big questions about the Supremacy Clause, federal authority, and what happens when states decide they can overrule Washington. This one’s not just messy—it’s dangerous. 9:30 Plus, we cover the Top 3 Things You Need to Know. Two National Guardsmen were shot while deployed in Washington D.C. today. The last election interference case filed against President Trump has now been dismissed. Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser announced she will not be seeking a 4th term in office next year. 12:30 Get Performlyte from Victory Nutrition International for 20% off. Go to vni.life/agr and use the promo code AGR20. 13:00 Two National Guardsmen—American heroes—were shot and critically injured while serving their country in Washington, D.C. Vice President JD Vance says we pray they’re home with their families by Thanksgiving. And while it shouldn’t be political to support our Guard, our military, our first responders… something about this shooting feels different. Feels intentional. Feels targeted. Maybe we’re wrong—God willing, we are—but every instinct says this wasn’t random. What we do know is simple: America doesn’t turn its back on its heroes. We lift them up. We stand with them. And right now, we pray for these guardsmen and the families waiting for them to come home. 16:00 Is having a boyfriend embarrassing now? Believe it or not, that’s the latest trend on social media—young influencers claiming relationships feel “too Republican.” American Mamas Terry Netterville and Kimberly Burleson jump in with both feet, asking why Gen Z is suddenly acting like commitment is cringe, joy is optional, and loneliness is some kind of virtue signal. From the data showing married women and men are far happier, to the cultural push telling young people they “don’t need anyone,” the Mamas break down what’s real, what’s nonsense, and why purpose—and yes, love—still matter. If you'd like to ask our American Mamas a question, go to our website, AmericanGroundRadio.com/mamas and click on the Ask the Mamas button. 23:00 We’re talking about something Washington forgot a long time ago: the American spirit isn’t passive—it doesn’t retreat, it doesn’t flinch, and it sure doesn’t surrender a single inch of our cities to chaos. After two National Guardsmen were shot in D.C., President Trump didn’t wring his hands or hide behind caution tape—he immediately ordered Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to deploy 500 more Guardsmen to the capital. But while Trump stands firm, America’s big-city Democrats have gotten used to surrender—accepting crime, excusing violence, normalizing failure. And now they’re furious that someone is finally saying “No more.” 26:30 Trust in the media just hit rock bottom—Gallup shows only 28% of Americans believe the news is fair, and among Republicans? A jaw-dropping 8%. And this week, the media proved exactly why. MSNOW ran a sensational “scoop” claiming President Trump was preparing to fire FBI Director Kash Patel. Anonymous sources, dramatic language—classic beltway gossip. Only one problem: it was completely fake. But this isn’t AI gone rogue. This is the media and deep-state leakers pumping out story after story, knowing the algorithms will blast it to millions before the truth catches up. 32:00 Get Prodovite Plus from Victory Nutrition International for 20% off. Go to vni.life/agr and use the promo code AGR20. 32:30 We dig into new poll showing a majority of voters under 40 backing a democratic socialist for president — and the wild part? Many say the biggest influence wasn’t TikTok… it was their parents and grandparents. We get into how we drifted this far, why Reagan warned us this would happen, and how a generation got talked into believing socialism is just “sharing.” 36:00 We’re talking planes, pajamas, and personal standards — all sparked by Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy’s call for Americans to step it up when they fly. From the viral chaos in airplane aisles to the growing trend of slippers-in-the-supermarket, we dig into what happened to basic manners, why dressing well changes how we act, and whether a little self-respect could make travel (and everything else) a whole lot better. 39:30 If you’re listening on podcast — Salem Podcast Network, Apple, Spotify, anywhere you get your shows — head over to AmericanGroundRadio.com because we’ve got a brand-new content up for Thanksgiving, and it hits at the heart of what we talk about all the time. This isn’t just turkey, travel, and family gatherings. This is about identity — who we are as Americans, what our Founders intended Thanksgiving to remind us of, and why gratitude is a force that holds nations together. 41:30 And we finish off with a bus driver who will make you say, "Whoa." //The Wire//2300Z November 28, 2025////ROUTINE////BLUF: SAFETY NOTICE IMPACTS MOST AIRBUS AIRCRAFT. POLICY CHANGES ANNOUNCED FOLLOWING SHOOTING IN WASHINGTON.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE------International Events-Global: This morning an Emergency Airworthiness Directive was issued for all variants of the Airbus A320 platform, due to an issue which results in solar radiation potentially affecting the Electronic Aileron Computer (ELAC). Approximately 6,000 airframes are affected by this issue.Analyst Comment: The fix for this issue is reportedly a software update, however it's quite a serious problem. Per the notice provided by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, this issue causes the aircraft to randomly nosedive during a flight. This was identified by an A320 experiencing this phenomenon during a routine flight, which prompted an investigation and thus the discovery of the problem. No affected aircraft are allowed to carry passengers unless the issue is fixed, so delays will certainly come about as the thousands of affected aircraft are ferried to maintenance sites during the busiest travel season of the year.-HomeFront-Washington D.C. - Yesterday afternoon the White House confirmed that SPC Sarah Beckstrom (WV NG), one of the Guardsmen attacked at Farragut Station, died yesterday afternoon from wounds sustained during the engagement. SSgt. Andrew Wolfe (WV ANG) remains in critical condition following several surgeries over the past two days.-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst Comments: The aftermath of the ambush in Washington has resulted in a few policy developments on multiple fronts. In various social media posts and press conferences, the White House has stated that all immigration will be "permanently paused" from all third-world countries. A mass overhaul of the legal immigration system is also planned, as migrants with legal resident alien status from a list of 19x high-risk countries will be investigated for ties to terror groups.More broadly, further efforts to prevent future attacks are largely taking the form of cracking down on immigrant communities which are known to conduct terrorist attacks (as well as crime in general). The Somali situation in Minneapolis is a major focus, as operations were planned for the city even before the shooting in DC. On the economic front, President Trump also stated that all benefits programs in the United States will be halted for non-citizens.Whether or not any/all of this will happen is anyone's guess, but these are the claims that are being made at the moment. Minneapolis is an easy first step (by comparison, at least). Speculating a bit, the White House (and the Pentagon as well) are probably trying to prevent a future event from occurring, which might spiral into other problems. Time is of the essence, and getting involved in a counterinsurgency mission in the American homeland is something that nobody wants. It's gritty, dirty, and most Americans are not willing to see what living in that kind of world is like, so if a more traditional counter-insurgency effort were to get underway in the homeland at some point, it won't be something to jump into lightly or without much preparation.Lone-wolf attacks are usually exceptionally deadly because they're almost impossible to predict or plan for. However, doctrinally-speaking, these types of attacks are not necessarily indicative of a full-blown insurgency (which usually has a more hierarchical planning effort). However, reflecting on what's happened so far this year, each passing travesty has drawn together the fields of counterterrorism, and counter-immigration. At this point, the American people are finding out that there is much more overlap between these two missionsets than previously realized.Analyst: S2A1Research: https://publish.obsidian.md/s2undergroundDisclaimer: No LLMs were used in th
Incident Details Location: Near Farragut West Metro Station, close to the White House. Victims: Two National Guardsmen (one female shot in chest and head, another hit in the neck). Suspect: 29-year-old Afghan national, entered U.S. in 2021 during evacuation, overstayed visa. Attack: Ambush-style, suspect fired multiple rounds, seized a guard’s weapon, and was subdued after being shot. Political Framing President Biden and Democratic immigration policies IS to blame for the attack. “SHUT DOWN” immigration programs and stricter vetting. There are systemic failures in vetting Afghan evacuees, citing DHS admissions of “derogatory information” on thousands of entrants. Ideological Tone The attack is part of a pattern of jihadist violence. The phrase “Allahu Akbar” is a battlefield cry linked to global terrorism. The event is evidence of open-border policies endangering national security. Media and Rhetoric Mainstream media is downplaying the terrorist angle. On Wednesday's Mark Levin Show, WREC's Ben Ferguson fills in. Two West Virginia National Guardsmen were ambushed and critically injured after a shooter opened fire near the White House. This wasn't random; this was a targeted attack. A lone gunman comes around a corner, raises his weapon, and opens fire on these Guardsmen who were simply doing their job—protecting D.C. residents, protecting this country. The suspect is an Afghan national that overstayed his visa and was let in under Joe Biden. Also, Socialists, Communists and Marxists have taken over the Democrat Party. A new poll shows that more than half—53%—of voters under 40 want a socialist president in 2028. That's right, socialism is on the rise in America. And it gets worse: 76% of these voters think major industries—health care, energy, big tech—should be nationalized. That's government control, plain and simple. They say housing costs are too high; the economy favors the wealthy, and corporations don't pay enough taxes. But here's the kicker: even with this socialist surge, the names they support are the same old Democrats—Kamala Harris leads with 36%, Bernie Sanders at 16%, Gavin Newsom and AOC at 9%, and Zohran Mamdani only gets 4%. This is a dangerous trend. It's not just about policy—it's about fundamentally transforming America into something it was never meant to be. Learn more about your ad choices. On the eve of Thanksgiving, two members of the West Virginia National Guard protecting Washington were attacked in a manner reminiscent of how jihadists surprised and murdered American servicemen during the war in Afghanistan. That may be because, as President Trump announced last night, their assailant was an Afghan national imported after Joe Biden surrendered his nation to the Taliban. Unfortunately, Biden not only admitted without screening tens of thousands of such likely Taliban operatives following the fall of Kabul. Countless other jihadists and apparent Chinese soldiers also came across his open borders. In response to the Guardsmen's shooting, President Trump pledged to remove “any alien from any country who does not belong here or add benefit to our country.” We will be very lucky – and must be very thankful – if the worst of what those misbegotten Biden policies unleashed is yesterday's attack. This is Frank Gaffney.

In this episode of The Wright Report, Bryan covers the nearing end of the government shutdown, Trump's legal win allowing National Guard deployments to Portland, a Supreme Court case testing whether drug users can own guns, and international developments involving Chinese espionage, satellite security, auto industry sabotage, and Bolivia's rejection of socialism. Shutdown Nears Its End: White House advisor Kevin Hassett says the government shutdown will likely end this week as Democrats feel pressure from bad polling and looming state budget crises. Trump's Triple B funding bill cut Medicaid loopholes that helped finance health care for illegal immigrants, forcing blue states to raise taxes unless a deal is reached. Court Clears Trump to Deploy the Guard: The Ninth Circuit ruled that Trump can federalize Oregon's National Guard to protect Portland's federal buildings from Antifa violence. Democrats argued the protests were “mostly peaceful,” with one judge claiming the frog-costumed rioters were “having fun.” Bryan calls the decision a reality check against political theater. Immigration and America's Workforce: NPR reports activists in Chicago are blocking ICE operations while a new study projects Trump's deportation policies could reduce the U.S. population by 15 million over the next decade. Bryan argues higher wages and affordable housing will follow, saying, “We don't need to import our workforce — we can build our own.” Supreme Court Weighs Gun Rights for Drug Users: The Court will decide whether people who use marijuana or other drugs can legally own firearms. The case follows a lower court ruling that found “no historical justification” for disarming sober citizens. Bryan invites listeners to weigh in on whether gun ownership and substance use should mix. China's Atomic Clock Breach: Beijing accused the NSA of hacking its national atomic clock, which could disrupt GPS, banking, and military systems. The alleged cyber breach used the cell phones of Chinese scientists to access secure servers. Bryan calls it “proof that nothing online is truly offline.” Satellites Leaking Secrets: U.S. researchers found that half of global satellite transmissions can be intercepted with basic equipment, exposing phone calls, texts, and even military data. Bryan warns listeners to “keep sensitive conversations offline.” Dutch Seize Chinese-Owned Chipmaker: The Netherlands took control of Nexperia, a critical auto-chip supplier, after U.S. intelligence warned China planned to move production back home. The move could disrupt global car manufacturing and tighten supply chains further. Bolivia Rejects Socialism: Voters ousted socialist leaders and elected conservative Rodrigo Paz, who vowed to restore ties with the U.S. and rebuild Bolivia's lithium-rich economy. Bryan says, “Bolivia's victory over socialism should be a warning to voters in New York City.” "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John 8:32 Keywords: government shutdown Kevin Hassett, Trump Triple B Medicaid reform, Ninth Circuit National Guard Portland, Antifa Oregon violence, NPR ICE protests Chicago, deportation workforce study, Supreme Court drug users gun rights, NSA China atomic clock hack, satellites data leak UC San Diego, Netherlands Nexperia chip takeover, Bolivia Rodrigo Paz conservative election
Fresh off invading DC for now reason Trump tries to invade Portland and Chicago, but the judges ain't having it. Ralph welcomes Palestinian-American writer, activist, and scientist Susan Abulhawa to discuss the ongoing Palestinian genocide and the evidence that supports a vastly higher death toll in Gaza.Susan Abulhawa is a Palestinian-American writer and political activist. She is the author of Mornings in Jenin—translated into thirty languages—and The Blue Between Sky and Water. Born to refugees of the Six Day War of 1967, she moved to the United States as a teenager, graduated in biomedical science, and established a career in medical science. In July 2001, she founded “Playgrounds for Palestine,” a non-governmental children's organization dedicated to upholding the Right to Play for Palestinian children.I consider this, first of all, immoral. It's disrespecting the Palestinian dead while they kill the Palestinians who are still alive with US bombers and artillery shells and other weapons coming from Washington, D.C. And it underestimates the kind of urgency that should be confronting this genocide.Ralph NaderThis is something that I think generations will study for a very long time to come. The complicity of Western media across the board is no less criminal than the genocide itself.Susan AbulhawaThis is a complete wiping out of life. A total destruction. And it's completely driven by this unfathomable hate and colonial arrogance and Jewish supremacy and this notion of entitlement. Of being favored by God, of being promised some real estate by a real-estate-agent Lord. I mean, it beggars belief the narratives that we see spoken in mainstream outlets and in the halls of power. Truly, it beggars belief.Susan AbulhawaNo, I don't believe Israel has a right to exist. It has never had a right to exist. No political entities have a right to exist. People have a right to exist. They have a right to exist in their own homeland with dignity. People have a right to universal dignity. A supremacist ideology—and that's ultimately what Zionism is predicated on, on supremacy and entitlement for a group of people at the detriment of another group of people—that is not a right, and it should never be a right. It should be anathema, in fact.Susan AbulhawaNews 9/5/25* The Intercept reports AIPAC has lost another Democratic ally in Congress. Congresswoman Deborah Ross of North Carolina has pledged that she will not accept AIPAC campaign contributions in her 2026 reelection bid. In previous elections, Ross has accepted over $100,000 in AIPAC donations. This comes on the heels of another North Carolina Congresswoman, Valerie Foushee – who received over $800,000 in AIPAC contributions – also renouncing donations from the group. As the Intercept notes, in June, the North Carolina Democratic Party adopted a resolution calling for a “complete arms embargo on all military aid to Israel until it ends its apartheid rule of Palestinians.” Dr. Paul McAllister, a reverend and chair of the Interfaith Caucus of the North Carolina Democratic Party, is quoted saying “AIPAC uses the muscle of their resources to oust anyone who disagrees with them regarding Israel, the conduct of Israel and the atrocities that may be committed by the government of Israel — so it is good that Deborah Ross is willing to recognize and acknowledge that.”* In more Israel news, a new aid flotilla bound for Gaza departed from Genoa, Italy last Sunday. Unlike previous flotillas however, this one carries the protection of a surprising group: Italian dockworkers. According to POLITICO EU, “Speaking at a rally on the docks of Genoa, one of Europe's largest ports, a dockworker representing the USB union said…‘Around mid-September, these boats will arrive near the coast of Gaza. If we lose contact with our boats, with our comrades, even for just 20 minutes, we will shut down all of Europe.'” Genoa has expressed unprecedented solidarity with Gaza. A food drive in the city collected “more than 300 tons of humanitarian aid…[and] over 40,000 people, including the city's mayor, Silvia Salis, joined a torchlit march through the streets in support of the [humanitarian flotilla on Saturday].” During the procession, Salis remarked “Every day I am proud to be the mayor of this city, but tonight, if possible, I am even more so.”* In yet another Israel story, Tom Artiom Alexandrovich, an Israeli cybersecurity apparatchik, who was arrested in August during an undercover operation “targeting child sex predators,” failed to appear for his court date in Nevada. Alexandrovich fled to Israel after being bailed out of jail in the U.S.; his lawyer, David Chesnoff, told the court that he told Alexandrovich not to attend the hearing. Judge Barbara Schifalacqua is now demanding that Alexandrovich appear before the court this week, but it remains to be seen whether he will actually show. This case has become politicized, with liberals and conservatives accusing one another of allowing Alexandrovich to flee the country. The government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu falsely denied that Alexandrovich was arrested at all. This from Al Jazeera.* In more sex predator news, Representatives Ro Khanna, Thomas Massie and Marjorie Taylor-Greene held a press conference this week with survivors of abuse at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein to push for full disclosure of the Justice Department's files on the case. At this conference, survivors also said they will release their own list of names. This comes amidst a renewed push for Congressional action spearheaded by the survivors. On Tuesday, the House Oversight Committee released a batch of records, but most of these have been made public before. The survivors met with lawmakers this week, including Speaker Mike Johnson, who said “I think the Oversight probe is going to be wide and expansive, and they're going to follow the truth wherever it leads,” per the Washington Post. Congresswoman Nancy Mace was also seen emerging from a meeting with the survivors visibly upset, though we do not know what exactly was discussed in this meeting. What is clear is that the Epstein story is not going away any time soon.* In local news, the National Guard has shared a statement with CBS News' Scott MacFarlane in which they boast that, “Guardsmen have cleaned more than 3.2 miles of roadways, collected more than 500 bags of trash, and disposed of three truckloads of plant waste.” Looking beyond the absurdity of deploying the National Guard to pick up trash, Samuel Littauer, Commissioner of ANC 3C01 – a local government district in Washington – crunched the numbers and found that “DC's cleaning crews cover around 81 miles/day for around $150K/day… [while the] National Guard has cleaned a total of 3.2 miles and costs more than $1M/day.” This means, “It's about 170X more cost efficient per mile to fund DC's existing work.”* Yet, despite the staggering inefficiency of the federal occupation – to say nothing of the outrageous, authoritarian government overreach – D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser has signed an order outlining how the District will “continue to work with the U.S. Marshals Service, the FBI, U.S. Park Police, the Drug Enforcement Administration, [and] the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives,” according to WTOP. This report notes that, “Bowser's order provides a path for working with federal law enforcement…[a] public indication that federal law enforcement could remain in the city indefinitely.” Other D.C. officials, including the District's delegate in Congress Eleanor Holmes Norton, have decried the occupation. Unfortunately, Norton is not even afforded the power of a single vote in Congress. This debacle further underscores the necessity for sovereign statehood for D.C.* In more news of federal law enforcement overreach, Prem Thakker of Zeteo reports new figures that show, “61,226 people are currently in ICE detention — the highest number ever in US history.” Thakker goes on to report that “According to ICE data, 70% of these people have no criminal conviction.” This unjustifiable mass detention shows no signs of slowing down, with ICE being granted larger and larger budgets and more and more latitude by the administration. The parallels to other shadowy secret police organizations throughout history continue to grow more pronounced.* Labor Notes editor Luis Feliz Leon reports Columbia University is seeking to bust graduate worker unions – at Columbia and beyond. A statement from the union reads “Over the summer, the university expelled and suspended 80 students, eliminated all but ten…graduate instructor jobs, and filed an Unfair Labor Practice Charge that could reshape the future of higher ed.” This marks yet another blow to the august reputation of Columbia, already damaged by their authoritarian overreaction to pro-Palestine protests and their capitulation to borderline extortion by Trump.* In the federal government, Trump continues to attack critical safety regulators. Reuters reports, “Two of the three remaining commissioners at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the U.S. nuclear safety watchdog, told a Senate hearing on Wednesday they feel President Donald Trump could fire them if they obstruct his goal to approve reactors faster.” Trump, via executive order, has committed the United States to, “fast-tracking new reactor licenses and quadrupling U.S. nuclear energy capacity by 2050…while also reducing staffing at the NRC.” The Commission is already down to just three members from its usual five and according to this report, “a dozen senior level managers…have left or announced they will leave since January, and…143 staff departed between January and June.” The Commission is currently considering five reactor applications and “expects another 25 to 30 soon.” Whatever one's thoughts are on nuclear energy in general, it is wildly irresponsible and dangerous to consider these reactor proposals by a commission short-staffed and constantly threatened with dismissal.* Finally, the Government Accountability Project has submitted a stunning whistleblower complaint on behalf of Chuck Borges, Chief Data Officer at the Social Security Administration. This complaint concerns “serious data security lapses, evidently orchestrated by DOGE officials, currently employed as SSA employees, that risk the security of over 300 million Americans' Social Security data…including apparent systemic data security violations, uninhibited administrative access to highly sensitive production environments, and potential violations of federal privacy laws by DOGE personnel.” The most critical violation is the DOGE staffers' move to “create a live copy of the country's Social Security information in a cloud environment that circumvents oversight.” As this complaint explains, “This vulnerable cloud environment is effectively a live copy of the entire country's Social Security information…that…lacks any security oversight from SSA or tracking to determine who is accessing or has accessed the copy of this data.” This includes “all data submitted in an application for a United States Social Security card—including the name of the applicant, place and date of birth, citizenship, race and ethnicity, parents' names and social security numbers, phone number, address, and other personal information.” If this data were to be compromised – as is eminently possible given the unsecured and unsupervised nature of the cloud copy, “Americans may be susceptible to widespread identity theft, may lose vital healthcare and food benefits, and the government may be responsible for re-issuing every American a new Social Security Number.” This staggering degree of carelessness and incompetence is almost unbelievable, if not for the fact that it comports perfectly with the DOGE track record. We can only hope lawmakers and regulators take swift action to shut down this ticking timebomb of data before it's too late. This has been Francesco DeSantis, with In Case You Haven't Heard. The National Guard is deploying in Albuquerque, aiming to help tackle the city's crime problem by freeing up more police officers. New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham declared an emergency through an Executive Order in April, after receiving a letter from Albuquerque's Police Chief, who requested additional resources to combat what he described as a crime problem that "continues to be an emergency" in the city. APD says integrating Guardsmen and women will allow officers to be more present in high-crime areas, particularly along Central Avenue. But how will this work? What will the National Guard be doing or not doing? Maj. Gen. Miguel Aguilar, the Adjutant General overseeing New Mexico's National Guard, joins Chris and Gabby to explain everything you need to know. Thanks for listening. In this episode of “Sara Gonzales Unfiltered,” Sara and the panel dive right into the breaking news that special counsel Jack Smith asked a judge to drop all charges against President-elect Trump stemming from Smith's investigation into the January 6 U.S. Capitol breach. The decision by the DOJ ends the unconstitutional federal cases against President Trump, and it would seem that all the dominos are falling into place. Sara and the panel shift the discussion to defiant Denver Mayor Mike Johnston, who compared his constituents' willingness to defend their sanctuary city and stand against the federal government to their Tiananmen Square moment. Prominent Republicans voiced their outrage, and Mayor Johnson was forced to walk back his incendiary remarks. The panel focuses attention on the absence of government relief and aid in hurricane-ravished North Carolina, where the North Carolina National Guard posted photos and video showing its around-the-clock assistance to all who needed aid, only for it to be exposed as older and outdated footage. Turns out the National Guard vacated the area some time before and was trying to appear as though Guardsmen were still on the ground helping the hurricane victims. The episode concludes with the re-emergence of Kamala Harris, who has been silent since her concession speech. Kamala Harris is back on the radar as her aides announced she is considering her political future with perhaps a 2026 California gubernatorial run or a 2028 presidential run in mind. Sara and the panel encourage her to make another bid for president in 2028. Sara is joined by Blaze Media investigative journalist Steve Baker and BlazeTV contributor Matthew Marsden. TEXAS AIR NATIONAL GUARDSMEN FROM THE 136TH AIRLIFT WING HELP FACILITATE A FOOD RUN AT DICKIES STADIUM IN FORT WORTH TEXAS JUNE 24, 2020. THEIR MISSION INCLUDES UNLOADING PALETTES OF FOOD, DIRECTING VEHICLE TRAFFIC, AND LOADING CARS WITH FAMILY FOOD BOXES.TARRANT AREA FOOD BANK, CEO JULIE BUTNER, TELLS US THE GOAL OF GIVING BACK TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. “This is an emergency box line, the boxes were packed by the 136th Air National Guard. We're planning on feeding anywhere between 1,000 to 2,000 families today. In an emergency box we try to give families enough staples to last a day, two days, three days. Depending on what we receive. We receive the food from the USDA and also from local grocers and manufactures in the area. So sometimes, we're at the will of whatever's being donated to us but we really try to think strategically about the box, what were putting in it, and trying to make it last for a family of four for a couple of days.” THE THREE VARIETIES OF BOXES INCLUDE FRESH PRODUCE, SHELF STABLE ITEMS AND FROZEN GOODS. TARRENT AREA FOOD BANK, AGENCY SERVICES COORDINATOR, TIFFANY TRAYLOR AND DIRECTOR OF MAJOR GIFTS, MEGAN SMOCK, SHARE HOW ALL ITEMS ARE DESIGNED TO GIVE FAMILIES A VARIETY OF FOOD. “This is one of our shelf stable boxes so we have a lot of product that would be able to be kept on a shelf. The families get typically one box, it's good for a family of four. If you have a larger family then you're able to get more." "This is a good hardy box of protein for our clients today. It has a five pound bag of chicken and then four frozen meals that they can use throughout the week or the month. it's nice that its frozen because it'll keep for however long they need it. This is a great distribution because they're getting such a variety of food today, it's not just protein, not just veggies, not just canned food. So it'll last them for a long time." EACH FOOD RUN IS DESIGNED TO SERVE RESIDENTS IN THE DFW AREA WHO ARE IN NEED OF FOOD ASSISTANCE OR WHOSE ACCESS TO HEALTHY FOOD HAS BEEN AFFECTED. "And what we have to get into our heads, although it is difficult, is that [the] glamour of love, odd as it may sound, is just as much present between two homosexuals as it is between a man and a woman."- Lord Brabazon of Tara, House of Lords, December 1957What was it like to be a (practicing) gay man in London after the Second World War? I thought you'd never ask...The short answer: not great! But like everything in life, it wasn't all doom and gloom OR butterflies and rainbows. It was a dangerous time to be queer, but there was also a thriving subculture of artists, MPs, writers, drunks, criminals, Guardsmen, and working class queers – in short, a bit of everyone – who managed to live their gay lives in one way or another. Our guest this week, Peter Parker, has collected their diaries, court cases, bitchy theatre reviews, puff pieces (or is it poof pieces?), and more in what is only the first volume of his incredible time capsule detailing queer life in London before the decriminalization of homosexuality (partial and tentative thought it was) in 1967.When I read Peter's book, I laughed, sobbed, screamed, and gasped. I could not put it down for hours. It's a reminder that real history is not a story of politicians and battles. It's the stories of real people. People who loved, suffered, lived, and died in a world that, only 80 years ago, was vastly different than ours.I hope you enjoy this chat with Peter as we uncover the dirty deets of life for gay men in London between 1945-1959: which parks to cruise in, who the best rent boys were, which gay soirées to meet John Gielgud and Michael Redgrave at, and of course, the real reason Noel Coward never revealed his BLATANT homosexuality to his adoring public.Make sure you pick up a copy of the book, which is out today! It is a vivid and singular experience – we all owe Peter Parker our gay gratitude for this feat of loving research and magisterial curation. For more from Historical Homos, you can join our cult at www.historicalhomos.com and follow us on Instagram and TikTok.If you like what you hear, please leave us a five star rating on Apple or Spotify. Episode Summary: In episode 182 of the Aerospace Advantage, Tomorrow's Air National Guard: Lt Gen Loh Conversation, Heather “Lucky” Penney and Lt Gen Joseph "Gus" Guastella, USAF (Ret.) chat with the Director of the Air National Guard. Whether discussing air superiority, aerial mobility, aeromedical evacuation, or cyber—Guardsmen are deployed around the globe every single day helping meet combatant command demand. But the Air Guard is also facing challenges. Along with the rest of the Air Force, equipment is aging, and the Air Force is not sufficiently funded to procure replacements fast enough. This is especially pronounced in the fighter mission area. Jets procured in the 70s and 80s are hitting the end of their service lives, but we're not buying enough aircraft fast enough to replace them. Demand isn't going down, which drives the remaining force even harder. Join us for this incredibly insightful leadership conversation to learn where the ANG is headed and why.
