You posted an interesting video about 2D vs 3D boating. Your argument for the distinction between 2D and 3D is solid and I agree with most things you say. However, I don't really see the value of this system considering we already have the International Scale of River Difficulty to describe rivers. What does "2D vs 3D" tell us that class I-III vs class IV-V doesn't already? When a new framework for classification or description is invented in science and engineering, it has some clear differences and advantages to other existing frameworks. At the least, it should add some level of nuance to the conversation or be beneficial in niche situations. Anyways, that's my overly-analytic peer review of your idea. I appreciate you taking the time to bring new ideas to the sport. Topic:River Hardware Blower Adapters Have you test-fit any of your blower adapters with the Bauer blower from Harbor Freight? Topic: Flip in Green Wall Three person, Three Boat trip on the Illinois. Flow was 1700 CFS and dropping. We ran a single boat down while two people set safety below harvey. After we got a single boat through, the two other captains went up to run the rapid. During their run, the first boat flipped just prior to getting to the doors. The captain did an amazing job self rescuing himself, and made it to the shore prior to swimming down the crux move. Now my question. We had a boat flipped, moving downstream. I decided to pull out of the eddy and work on getting the boat moved to the shore. I didn't get the boat into an eddy until the rapid after green wall. While you give tips on getting boats recovered in this situation, and will you give feedback on our safety plan on how we ran and set safety.

Do you know how to transpose chord progressions on the guitar? If you don't, please spend a few minutes with me.If you think you've got it figured out, you still might learn something new here.I encourage you to catch the video version of this article while it's available. It goes much deeper than I can with my typed words, and you'll be able to hear the chord progressions too. You can find the video right here: Here are three tips to make transposition smooth and effective.1.       We need to know all the diatonic chords in our starting key. Do you know all seven chords in C Major? Wait for it…2.       We need to assign numbers to the chords.Now, my background began in classical music, so I trained with Roman numerals.  But just as effective is the Nashville Number System.As you'll see from my chart below with chords in C and A Major, there are specific cases and indicators for degrees that the Roman numerals and Nashville Numbers can guide you along with.With Roman numerals, capital numbers are Major, and lower-case numbers are minor. With Nashville Numbers, we just use Arabic numerals, and we indicate the qualities of the chords with just a number to imply a Major chord, and a number followed by a lower case “m” to indicate a minor chord.Using numerals or numbers, we need to be able to identify each chord as a number, but then also to identify each number as a chord.  So, for example, in the key of C Major, what is the number for C? What about the number for F? Check the chart above to confirm your answer.Let's go the other way. In the key of C Major, what is the name of the minor vi chord? How about the minor ii chord? Again, you can check your work.So, if I wanted to play the progression I V vi IV (or 1 5 6m 4) in C, what would the chords be? C G Am F. It's a very popular progression. Let's do the reverse process. If I played the progression C Em F G, what would the chordal analysis be in terms of numbers? I iii IV V (or 1 3m 4 5). Another very useful progression. Lastly,3.       We need to know the chords and numbers in our destination key.If we have a destination key we want to transpose to, it would be helpful for us to know those diatonic chords, and to be able to familiarize ourselves with them in the same fashion as numbers. For our purposes today, I've chosen the key of A Major (also reflected in the chart I've provided).Now let's put this knowledge to practical use.Let's go back to our first progression of chords in C with C G Am F and let's transpose that progression to the key of A. If we know the corresponding numbers and chords in the key of A, we know that the chords for that progression would be…A E F#m D.  Transposition accomplished!Now let's create a new progression in A with I IV ii V (or 1 4 2m 5). Those chords are A D Bm E. Based on how well we know the chords in C, we use numbers and transposition to crank out C F Dm G. Transposition accomplished again! The accompanying video will add much more dimension and understanding to what you're reading here.Now there are a couple subtle ways to check our work. If we know the distance from A to C, which is up a minor 3rd, we can take each chord in the key of A, and move “vertically” to its corresponding chord in the key of C. (The video has more.)Another method is to think “horizontally” from the tonic to the other chords within each key. The tonic is the home I chord, so this would be the A Major chord in the key of A, or the C Major chord in the key of C. (The video again has more.)As you can see, this process is going to help us a lot. It's just a matter of some simple memory work and repetition.Want to go deeper? Please watch the video for a more advanced progression with some borrowed chords.Are you ready for some application to validate these tools? Let me ask some questions, all of which end in a positive answer. Can we transpose from the key of A back to the key of C? Of course!Can we take a progression in a less guitar-friendly key that either requires lots of bar chords or a capo, and transpose it to a guitar-friendly key with fewer bar chords and more open chords? Yeah buddy! Can we transpose from one minor key to another minor key? Yep!Can we transpose from the Dorian mode with one key center to a Dorian mode with another key center? You betcha!As you can see, there are all kinds of possibilities when we know how to transpose.  If you have a worship song and you want to transpose it, you can use this method. You can write out the transposition with numbers, or verbally call it out on the fly as you play with your band. There are digital tools that can do this for you, but if you want to grow in your ability to transpose, I encourage you to try some of this mentally and manually.I've transposed more charts than I can count. And if you can analyze and learn a song by number, and you've got a good grasp of several keys, you can quickly transpose that song into any of those keys.Transposition facilitates easier fingerings, preferred chord voicings, better vocal ranges, and more. Nejspíše opět kvůli komplikacím s GDPR (v pořadu zazněl opak, Kuba totiž nechtěl věřit tomu, že ve výčtu 170 podporovaných zemí opravdu zase chybí celá unijní Evropa).Své novinky ze světa AI představil i Microsoft ve vylepšeném asistentovi Copilot, který se naučil některé kousky, které doposud uměl jen placený ChatGPT Plus.Pobavíme se také o hrozbách, které AI přináší. Třeba o riziku ještě lepších fake news/deep faků nebo ještě věrohodnějšího phishingu. To všechno je jistě problém, ale trošku zapomínáme na to, že dospělý člověk má přece v prvé řadě zodpovědnost sám za sebe a své činy. Platí to jak v automobilu za volantem, tak při surfování na webu. Welcome to the daily304 – your window into Wonderful, Almost Heaven, West Virginia.   Today is Wednesday, Aug. 9   #1 – From WV NEWS –  NASA's Katherine Johnson Independent Verification and Validation Facility in Fairmont celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, and officials hope that the key work that the facility does for the agency is successful for the next 30 years. The IV&V Facility's main mission is to routinely examine software on developing NASA missions to determine any glitches or failures in the system ahead of launch, allowing for the project — be that a manned mission, a satellite launch or another science project — to be as successful as possible once it's on the launch pad. Facility Director Wes Deadrick said the IV&V Facility employs 260 contractors and 50 civil servants for a total of 310 people, the majority of whom live and work in West Virginia. In addition, the facility had an estimated economic output of $140 million in 2022. Deadrick said that moving forward, the IV&V facility will continue supporting the many NASA missions in the works, whether those be satellites, probes, manned missions or something else. He added that he thinks the agency at large — and other external entities — will make more use of the facility's service. Independent verification and validation (IV&V) is a significant step in the process of deploying systems for mission-critical applications in the Department of Defense (DoD). In this podcast from the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute (SEI), Justin Smith, senior Agile transformation leader in the SEI Software Solutions Division, talks with principal researcher Suzanne Miller about how to bring concepts from Lean and Agile software development into the practice of IV&V. Smith describes his experiences at NASA's Katherine Johnson IV&V Facility as a project manager for the Orion IV&V team. On that project, the developer employed Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) as their development process, which had challenging consequences for established IV&V practices within NASA IV&V. Smith also discusses the ways in which NASA adapted to this change and describes strategies and tactics for reconciling Agile and IV&V.

Jordan, Sylvester Stallone, Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, Florian Munteanu, Brigitte Nielsen and Dolph Lundgren.  I'm joined by a man who can well-relate to long winters, bloody knuckles and empty vodka bottles, the master of plastered, the duke of downstage, the one and only Gordon Alex Robertson The synopses:  Rocky IV follows up the slick, high energy, music video style of 1982's Rocky III with an even slicker, yacht-rock and montage laden tale of triumph, pitting Rocky Balboa  against superhuman Russian powerhouse Ivan Drago after Drago kills Rocky's nemesis turned friend and mentor Apollo Creed in an exhibition match in Las Vegas. Rocky travels to Russia where he trains super hard with logs and horse-drawn carriages and boulders to beat Drago in an epic, blood-curdling battle to the death. Who wins? All one had to do was look at the Rocky IV poster to find the answer to that one.More than 30 years later, Creed II continues the story in Ukraine where Ivan Drago trains and grooms his equivalently vicious and menacing boxer son Victor so they can pull themselves out of obscurity, humiliation and poverty to challenge Rocky Balboa's heavyweight champion protégé Adonis Creed to a title bout. Rocky, sensing danger, refuses to train Adonis and so an angry Adonis takes on Victor with Little Duke Evers in his corner as trainer and is given a brutal beating by Young Drago. Adonis is only saved the humiliating loss of his title by a disqualifying cheap shot given by Victor while Adonis was down on the canvas. Adonis recovers but is reticent to fight Victor again until Rocky comes back in his life and agrees to train him in a spare and hardcore fashion so Adonis will not only  to be capable of enduring a savage beating but to be able to deliver one as well.  Who wins?Find out!

The first Orthodox priest born in America, St. Sebastian of San Francisco and Jackson is an Apostle to America for having served across its vast land in countless parishes amongst Orthodox and non-Orthodox people of all ethnic backgrounds. Born in San Francisco in 1863, he helped establish the first Serbian Orthodox parish in the Western Hemisphere in Jackson, CA in 1894. He served tirelessly in America and Serbia where he reposed in 1940 at the Zhicha Monastery.
