Joiner has been working out with multiple NBA teams in recent weeks including the Charlotte Hornets. Dennis Cox & Pat Welter discuss Joiner's strengths as a prospect, his chances of being drafted, and his goals for the future. Also, Wake Forest basketball head coach Steve Forbes addressed the issues with Bob Klintman's NBA agent in a presser today with the media. Forbes said that the agent had been "disrespectful" to the program and it was the worst experience he's ever had with an agent. The agent had reportedly been trying to pressure Klintman into leaving Wake Forest for the NBA draft. Forbes said that he was "confident" that Klintman would stay at Wake Forest and that he was "excited" about the future of the program.

What are we going to expect from North Carolina and NC State after this season? Obviously, the main storyline for the Tar Heels is the four players that have entered the portal, but there is hope for Bact and Davis to return. For NC State how does Kevin Keatts plan on replacing Terquavion Smith and Jarkel Joiner? Both Hubert Davis and Kevin Keatts are going to have to hit the transfer portal hard to add some extra depth to their roster. Also, people are going to point out to UNC not making the NCAA tournament and UVA getting bounced in the first round again that the ACC stinks, but that may not be the case.

The transfer portal is an all-out brawl currently for college basketball coaches as some schools are having to deal with players leaving such as North Carolina. While others are looking to gain players from the portal such as NC State. If you're Kevin Keatts, you have to replicate what you did last year by getting a guy like Jarkel Joiner to help carry the load of the team. Maybe he should look at two players from Kinston, NC that are out in the portal currently to fill that role.  Also, members of the Carolina Panthers organization made the travel to Tuscaloosa, AL to view the pro-day at Alabama and get a glimpse of Bryce Young. When it comes down to Stroud and Young at who you want as your quarterback, the answer could be quite simple based on size alone.

Chris thinks it wouldn't be a bad idea for the Carolina Panthers to draft two quarterbacks in this year's NFL draft, but Dennis thinks they shouldn't waste a pick on a quarterback when they already have Andy Dalton and Matt Coral under contract. Chris's argument is that they've already filled a lot of holes at other positions during free agency. Dennis says you can find a backup quarterback every year if you really want to, but the Panthers are not in a position to get a luxury pick.  NC State after having a successful bounce-back season loss in the first round of the NCAA tournament yesterday to Creighton. DJ Burns still has a year of eligibility left, but Jarkel Joiner, Casey Morsell, and most likely Terquavion Smith's careers are now done. What will next season's roster now look like for Kevin Keatts?

Last time the two teams met up in Raleigh on January 4th, it was a terrible night for the Blue Devils. NC State has been pretty good since then, and they're just 1 game behind Duke in the ACC standings. Still, Duke also has been pretty good of late, and it creates a matchup where Duke has to feel confident that they can produce a better outing than they did almost 2 months ago. We also discuss the guys for the Wolfpack that destroyed Duke last time out, with DJ Burns being a point of focus alongside the very talented backcourt of Terquavion Smith and Jarkel Joiner. -In the case of the Tar Heels, they overcame Notre Dame 63-59 in a game that saw the Heels score just 19 first half points. Lowest Carolina output in the shot clock era I'm told -State, however, was the total opposite. More than 100 points was on the board by halftime of their win over Wake Forest. -Jarkel Joiner went for 29 for the second straight game. He was, again, outstanding. -DJ Burns 21 points on 8/11 FG… -Two injuries last night….Jack Clark and damari Monsanto… -Wolfpack are now 12-6 in the league, 22-7 overall. Here's the impressive part, to me. Wake forest is good. If you watch them, you know they're an NCAA team. The Pack had to get back up to beat a good team three days after winning a very important, emotional, rivalry game against UNC. -What a good, solid Quad 3 win. WHAT???? -Wake forest is now 81st in the NET….State won a big game against a good team and are lower in the NET today than they were at the start of the week. Before we get to UNC's big win….I want to play a mental exercise with Virginia's loss at BC, which is being termed a bad look for the ACC. What if Georgia loses at Missouri next fall? How will that be spun in SEC country? “Look at how deep the SEC is!” -Now to UNC's tougher than it needed to be win over Notre Dame… -Halftime score, 27-19, Irish. Yes, 19 points on 18% shooting in 20 minutes. Heels had 17 points in the first 8 minutes of the second half. -23 offensive rebounds were HUGE for UNC, who kept getting extra possessions (47.9%!!!) -BTW, that was ALSO a Q3 win. So, in the eyes of the metrics….

What led to Terquavion Smith and Jarkel Joiner going off against the Hokies? How critical were Casey Morsell and Greg Gantt to the success of the Pack in the win? The guys touch on all of that and answer questions at the end of the podcast.

With NC State's backs against the ropes in the ACC and a daunting three-game stretch coming up, the Wolfpack was expected to struggle against No. 16 Duke. Add on the fact that State was without Dusan Mahorcic and Jack Clark, and the length of the Blue Devils frontcourt should have dominated the Pack, right? Wrong. Not only did the Wolfpack come away with a win, it blistered Duke to the tune of an 84-60 win in PNC Arena, marking the largest deficit for a ranked Duke squad against an unranked opponent. It was also the third-largest margin of victory for the Wolfpack over the Blue Devils as State thoroughly dominated all night long to move to 12-4 (2-3 ACC) on the year. Following the game, Cory Smith and Miles Masercola discussed what led to the critical win, the backcourt dominance from Terquavion Smith and Jarkel Joiner, the play of D.J. Burns, the importance for the resume and much more. Listen to or watch the full podcast below.

The Wolfpack earned resume-boosting wins over Dayton and Butler, along with a hard-fought loss to No. 3 Kansas, proving how different this year's squad is with its new pieces. Cory Smith, Miles Masercola and Brian Geisinger give their takeaways from the Battle 4 Atlantis, including Jarkel Joiner's play, concerns for Terquavion Smith(?), the bigs stepping up on the big stage, Jack Clark's versatility and what the recent showing says about the Pack's chances in March.
