The last few weeks in college football, particularly what we're now seeing with the Huskies is a huge wake up call regarding the coronavirus. By all accounts, these teams have done everything right, and they've still managed to have to contend with multiple cases. The Cougs, too, had to cancel their game on Saturday due to a positive test result from Cal. It's good to have Pac-12 football back. Unlike the Huskies, the Cougs actually did get their season off the ground last weekend against Oregon State. We got our first look at de Laura helming the team at quarterback. With thoughts on him, McIntosh, and the whole rest of the team, plus expectations for the upcoming game against Oregon, we hear from Alex Brink, Jed Collins, and Mkristo Bruce. Coming off a win over Seattle, Buffalo is getting a lot of love. Conversely, the Cardinals are getting way too much hate for their loss. Arizona is the easy winner of that game says Kevin. How the f**k did Jed Collins go from the NFL to writing his own book about financial literacy? Today we’re talking with Jed about his journey from football to finance and all the lessons he learned along the way. Jed left Washington State University with an accounting degree in 2007. Unlike most of his business school classmates, Jed took that degree to go play seven years in the NFL. After he spent some time as a CFP, he realized that he wanted to do more to help the majority, not just the top 1 percent. Today, Jed is the Director of Financial Education program Rookie to Veteran, Brighton Jones and the author of the book, Your Money Vehicle. So what did Jed learn from his multiple position changes throughout his football career? And what was Mark Sanchez like in high school?

How much you make, how much to spend, what to invest, how to earn money while you sleep - these topics are, unfortunately, off the table for most of us. Yet half of our waking hours (more for some) are spent working for, you guessed it, money.  While money isn't everything, it certainly is something important. It allows us to afford the quality of life we want, enjoy experiences with loved ones, and ultimately contribute and give back to others who need it more. Despite this, we know virtually nothing about personal finance.  It isn't taught beyond a very surface level in most schools. Because of its taboo nature, it's something many parents don't teach their children.   This leads to our general understanding of money coming from Instagram influencers or movies like The Wolf of Wall St.  Contrast that with the tens (or hundreds) of thousands of dollars that many millennials find themselves in debt. Despite their natural instincts, both spend a few minutes complementing their respective rival's school (yeah it's a love fest, but we can hope for metaphorical bloodshed later in the show). The biggest rivalry in college basketball basically ended as soon as it started with Zion Williamson getting injured and his Nike shoe falling apart. The incident has sent shockwaves through the sports and business worlds with Nike losing billions of dollars in value today as their stock sank, and renewed calls to overhaul the handling of college players. The question right now is, should he come back and play the rest of the season, or does he risk further injury, potentially causing his draft stock to fall like Nike's after a shoe explosion? The Dawgs win again last night, completely shutting down Utah, and improving their record to 12-1. Jed knew Coach Hop a bit from his AAU days. Dick asks him if he sees Hopkins leaving or Arizona or UCLA if they come calling.

One of the things he discussed was the idea of sitting players this weekend and why he's not a fan of it. Jed Collins doesn't agree. This afternoon the ServPro First Responders Bowl was canceled, the first time ever this has happened to a bowl game.
