On this installment of 'The PAPER STREET Podcast', Shawn and Becky are joined by Joe Lynch, filmmaker and co-host of the popular 'Movie Crypt' podcast whose latest feature, SUITABLE FLESH, is now streaming on Shudder! The hosts get into the weeds with Joe on his background, early career with Troma Entertainment, lessons learned and later applied from his experience with KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM, and of course, talk a lot about SUITABLE FLESH -- including locking in the film's stacked cast, finding a balance between his vision and Paoli & Gordon's original script, and he even reveals some Easter eggs in the filmfor fans of the Stuart Gordon/RE-ANIMATOR universe (*caution: some mild spoilers are discussed*). Also on the program: a fun round of 'Rapid Fire 15' with the guest, shared horror universes, and some love for John Carpenter, Stephen King, Barbara Crampton, Rob Reiner, ROAD HOUSE, THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY, and more! This show takes a look at wizards, demons, nerds and Peter Dinklage’s penchant for shrooms in THE KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM (directed by Joe Lynch) from 2013. Then we decide to go to the Italian country-side, enjoy fine cuisine, make fun of Tom Hardy, and have casual affairs in THE TRIP TO ITALY (directed by Michael Winterbottom) from 2014. All of this plus movies we’ve never heard of, praise for Steve Zahn, jabs at Kevin Smith, respect for Jeff Bridges and nostalgia for that guy who talks about that ‘bag in the wind’ from American Beauty. got a suggestion for the show?: whatsnewtonetflixinstant@gmail.com
