Objectif ? Présenter sa vision de la situation et surtout convaincre l'autre camp de le rallier. Dans l'espoir de parvenir à l'union, l'équipe verte aurait soumis l'idée de confier à l'ancienne garde des Sceaux la présidence d'une assemblée constituante ou de l'Assemblée nationale. « Ça montre que les Verts ont très envie de Christiane Taubira », s'est félicité Guillaume Lacroix patron du PRG présent lors de l'entrevue. Néanmoins l'offre a été balayée par les équipes de la principale intéressée et aucune date pour un éventuel nouvel échange n'aurait été fixée. Pourtant, à soixante jours du premier jour du scrutin, la gauche a bien de la peine à peser dans les sondages. D'après une dernière enquête réalisée par l'institut Cluster17 pour Marianne, Jean-Luc Mélenchon (13 %) demeurerait en tête à gauche, mais encore à bonne distance d'une accession au second tour. A droite, Eric Woerth vient d'indiquer qu'il soutenait la candidature du chef de l'Etat. A l'inverse certains élus « Macron-compatibles » signataires en juin 2019 d'une tribune dans le JDD, affirmant « vouloir la réussite du président de la République » se détournent désormais du chef de l'Etat au profit de Valérie Pécresse. En meeting au Zénith à Paris, dimanche prochain, la candidate LR espère relancer sa campagne et incarner la seule alternative viable à Emmanuel Macron. Ces 3 et 4 juillet se tient à Perpignan le 17e congrès du parti. La ville des Pyrénées-Orientales n'a pas été choisie au hasard. Conquise en 2020 en duel face à LR par Louis Aliot, elle symbolise la victoire et le plafond de verre brisé. C'est pourtant bien fragilisée que Marine Le Pen, la présidente du parti, apparaît dans cette réunion politique, une semaine seulement après la gifle subie par sa formation lors des élections départementales et régionales, lors de laquelle le parti a perdu 30% de ses conseillers par rapport à 2015. Au sein du parti, plusieurs membres, opposés à la ligne de normalisation imposée par leur cheffe, ont claqué la porte. C'est notamment le cas dans les Deux-Sèvres, où le délégué et la totalité du bureau départemental restreint du Rassemblement national ont démissionné le 24 juin dernier, en désaccord total avec la stratégie du parti lors de ce scrutin. Le patriarche Jean-Marie Le Pen réclame pour sa part un retour aux fondamentaux. Selon le fondateur du Front national, cet échec est "imputable à une certaine erreur de ligne". Il en appelle désormais à une "virilisation" du RN. Or, ce retour à une ligne dure ne semble pas être l'option choisie puisqu'à l'occasion du congrès du parti d'extrême droite qui s'ouvre ce samedi, une modification des statuts va entraîner une petite révolution : la possibilité pour Marine Le Pen de se mettre en retrait de la présidence du parti le temps de la campagne présidentielle. Un changement symbolique, puisqu'il est question par cette manœuvre de souligner que la députée du Pas-de-Calais ne fera pas campagne en qualité de présidente du RN, mais en tant que représentante d'une aspiration plus large. Cela semble plus proche de vouloir achever le processus de “normalisation”. Si ce retrait est acté, un président par intérim devra être désigné. Deux profils tiennent la corde : Louis Aliot et Jordan Bardella. La déroute du RN aux régionales n'a pas fait que des mécontents à l'extrême droite de l'échiquier politique. Chez les partisans d'Eric Zemmour, qui espèrent un engagement électoral du très droitier chroniqueur star de CNews, ce mauvais résultat du RN serait le signe qu'il a une carte à jouer. Cette hypothèse fait en tout cas rêver de nombreux déçus du parti lepéniste et des ex-LR tendance droite dure. C'est notamment le cas de Génération Z, mouvement politique créé en février dernier avec pour objectif de rassembler la jeunesse autour de la candidature d'Eric Zemmour en vue des élections présidentielles de 2022. Dimanche, dès la fermeture des bureaux de vote, ils ont collé sur les panneaux électoraux installés dans les rues de plus d'un millier de communes des affiches sur lesquelles on peut lire "Zemmour président", avec une photo du chroniqueur du Figaro en chemise blanche sur fond noir. Mais le polémiste, condamné pour incitation à la haine raciale et accusé de violences sexuelles, disposera-t-il d'un espace politique suffisant pour exister ? Sur sa gauche, Xavier Bertrand (ex-LR) vient en effet de faire la démonstration dans les Hauts-de-France qu'il était en mesure d'incarner une droite dure tout en parlant aux classes populaires. Le fraichement réélu président de région a réussi son pari : montrer qu'il est capable de siphonner une partie des voix du RN. Il apparaît bien placé pour représenter la droite, même si lui aussi doit faire face à des rivaux de taille. Que va faire Marine Le Pen en vue de 2022 ? Eric Zemmour sera-t-il bel et bien candidat ? Xavier Bertrand est-il capable de s'imposer définitivement à droite ? Apologies for this! Joe Christopher of Tarleton, Texas, author of 'C. S. Lewis', Twayne English Authors Series, writes - 'I don't know that the enclosed sonnet is appropriate for the C. S. Lewis Newsletter, for the Church of Ireland may have doubts about a work that has only one brief allusion to Lewis's Christianity and is otherwise pagan. Further, the sonnet has one weak rhyme and certainly counts on a reader having knowledge of Irish legend (for the argument by analogy in the last tercet) and Irish myth. The book recreates the daily life, magical practices, politics and spiritual lives of the Ancient Celts during this historic turning point. During this time of crisis, love blooms between Ethne, a Druid healer, and her patient, a Fennid warrior. Their passionate affair suffers a tragic blow when Ethne is called upon to become the High Queen. Poets and bards created a secret sign language to describe the letters, each of which is named for a tree or a plant. For centuries this language was transmitted only orally in order to protect its secrets. Combining her extensive herbal knowledge and keen poetic insight, Ellen Evert Hopman delves deeply into the historic allusions and associations of each of the 20 letters of the Ogham Tree Alphabet. She also examines Native American healing methods for possible clues to the way ancient Europeans may have used these trees as healing agents.
