The ASX 200 fell 67 points to 8,772, leaving the market down around 25 points for the week. Once again, we saw money flowing out of resources, industrials and the technology sector, and back into the relative safety of the banking sector. The Big Bank Basket rose to $288.03 (+1.2%). CBA rose 1.0% and NAB gained 1.5%, while insurers also benefited from higher bond yields, with QBE up 1.4%. MQG continued to push higher following the CEO retirement announcement, but other financials slipped, with HUB down 3.1% and IFT falling 1.2%. REITs were mixed, with GMG down 2.7% while SGP edged slightly higher.Industrials were well and truly on the nose yet again, with WES down 1.0%. Retail stocks generally drifted lower, with most names down around X%. The technology sector was once again battered and bruised, with REA down 3.7%, XRO falling 4.5%, and WTC also hit hard.Healthcare was no refuge either, with CSL down 1.3% and RMD falling 0.4%.Resources were not spared, with BHP down 2.9% and RIO off 1.7%. Gold miners were once again under pressure as the bullion price looked to be testing US$4,000 an ounce yet again. NST fell 3.9% and EVN dropped 2.4% Lithium stocks were also depressed, with LTR falling hard and PLS down 2.1%. Rare earth and copper stocks were also in the doghouse, while uranium stocks continued to slide.Energy stocks were one of the brighter spots, with both WDS and STO firmer, while KAR enjoyed a good day following a broker upgrade.Corporate News, COH edged higher after confirming it would not be subject to the new US tariffs. ASX fell after announcing the retirement of its CFO. There was nothing of note on the local economic front. The US tariff saga continues, with Australia hit by 12.5% tariffs on products linked to alleged "forced labour" issues.Asian markets were weaker, Nikkei 225 down 2.9%, HK down 1.4% and China off 1.3% - Korea down 6.0%. The ASX 200 finished unchanged at 8809, fighting back from earlier losses as resources found a footing. US futures helped, as did steady markets across Asia. Banks eased back, with CBA down %, leaving the Big Bank Basket at $281.76 (-0.6%). Other financials also weakened, NWL fell 2.2% and SOL dropped 0.8%. REITs were easier too, with GMG down 2.7% and CHC falling 1.3%. WOW and COL slid 1% as defensives were sold down. Healthcare picked up a little, with CSL rising 1.3% and COH up 1.6%. Industrials generally eased, WES flat and TCL dropped 0.8%, with SGH off 1.4%. Tech stocks were mixed, XRO and WTC found buyers, TNE fell 1.3% and NXT was 3.2% easier. All-Tech Index fell 0.3%. Resources staged a good turnaround, with BHP up 0.6% and FMG up 1.3%, while the gold miners recovered after early losses. Bullion pushed back above US$4,000. EVN rose 3.2% and VAU gained 1.4%. S32 also had a better session, while lithium stocks posted small gains. Oil and gas stocks rose as crude pushed higher, with WDS up 3.0% and STO rallying %. Coal stocks were firm, WHC up %, while uranium stocks were whacked again. PDN fell 6.0% and NXG lost 3.2%.In corporate news, KKR joined the consortium bidding for SDF. LNW powered 8.0% higher on a guidance update. CTD remains suspended as it tries to negotiate terms with the UK Government to stave off a liquidation event. GMD and VAU agreed terms for their merger.On the economic front, the ANZ-Roy Morgan Consumer Confidence Index rose slightly. The ASX 200 finished the week on a sour note as the index fell 61 points to 8621 (-0.7%), ending the week down 1.2%. Banks were ugly today after Morgan Stanley downgraded the sector outlook. The Big Bank Basket fell to $266.42 (1.5%), with CBA off 1.7% and WBC sliding 1.2%. Other financials held up better, with MQG unchanged, ASX up 1.5% and ZIP rising 1.7%. Retailers were mixed, with JBH up 1.0% and APE drifting lower. Healthcare stocks were back from the ICU. CSL had its biggest one-day rise since 2022, up 5.8% as the rotation into the sector gathered pace. Even RMD enjoyed a very positive session, gaining 4.3%. PME rose 4.0% and COH added 5.6%.In the tech space, MP1 soared 15.2% after its capital raising, with Citi upgrading its price target by 41%. The All-Tech Index rose 0.7%, with CPU also trading higher.Resources, however, remained in a world of pain as profit-taking continued in BHP and RIO, with FMG down 2.3%. Rare earths and critical minerals stocks also unwound as the AI trade ran out of steam and copper prices fell. LYC dropped 2.9%, MIN fell 5.1% and SFR lost 1.2%. The ASX 200 rallied hard off lows to close down 5 pts at 8724 (0.1%). CBA turned around, recovering well, the Big Bank Basket closed at $269.61 (- 0.8%). Insurers slipped, led by QBE off 1.3% and IAG down 2.2%. REITs too were under pressure, GMG off 0.4% and CHC falling 1.0%. Healthcare remains in the kennel, CSL falling another 1.7% with RMD off 2.1% and COH down 4.3%. Industrials slipped a little, BXB down 1.6% and ALQ falling 1.1%. Retail stocks were also on the nose following the minimum pay award update. JBH crumbled 5.4%, NCK down 3.1%. DMP dropped 5.9% on the wage news. Tech stocks were the stars of the show again today, WTC up 7.9% and XRO jumping 7.5%, with the All-Tech Index up 3.9%. REA had a good day, as did CAR.BHP and RIO once again pushed higher on copper exposure, the Big Australian hitting new records, up 1.4%. Gold miners recovered, with NST shooting the lights out as activist shareholder Elliott took a big position and called for change. Uranium stocks eased back again, PDN down 5.9% and DYL falling 5.3%.In corporate news, SRG jumped 16.6% on $1.85bn in new contracts. TEA soared 16.2% on an acquisition, DRO up 3.6% on a new $24.1m contract, and 4DX had a bad day on CT news. NST jumped on calls for change. En Centrafrique, un simple bac est devenu, au fil des décennies, bien plus qu'un moyen de traverser la rivière Lobaye. Depuis 1965, la liaison entre Mongoumba, en Centrafrique, et Betou, en RDC, relie chaque jour deux villes frontalières… et deux peuples. Camions de marchandises, véhicules, motos, passagers : tous empruntent cette traversée qui fait circuler produits, services et espoirs entre les deux pays. Malgré son ancienneté et des moyens modestes, ce bac reste un symbole vivant pour la région. Une activité tenue par les jeunes de la localité qui en ont fait à la fois une source de revenus et un véritable vecteur du désenclavement.  De notre correspondant de retour de Mongoumba, À l'aube, lorsque la brume flotte encore au-dessus de la Lobaye, les premiers voyageurs apparaissent sur la rive, silhouettes tranquilles dans la lumière naissante. Ici, pour la traverser, on emprunte le bac : une plateforme en bois et en métal, portée par la force du courant, guidée par des conducteurs comme Sylvestre : « Ce bac c'est toute ma vie. Un métier simple et essentiel. Je transporte des véhicules, des camions et des cargaisons entières. Certains traversent pour aller faire du commerce, d'autres rejoignent leur famille, il y a également ceux qui partent au travail. » Le vacarme du moteur se mêle aux conversations. Femmes, hommes et enfants montent les uns après les autres. Chacun avec sa raison de traverser la rivière, mais le passage est le même pour tous. Bernice est une agricultrice. « Ce bac est comme un vieil ami pour moi. Sans lui, je ne suis rien. Mon champ se trouve de l'autre côté, et le bac est le seul moyen pour m'y rendre. Je monte toujours à bord avec mes paniers. Durant la récolte, c'est grâce à ce bac que j'achemine tous mes produits vers les grandes villes et les marchés. » Cohésion entre les habitants Lorsque le bac s'éloigne de la rive, un silence particulier s'installe. Tout le monde regarde l'eau. L'ombre des arbres se reflète sur la surface fluide. La dépendance à ce bac préoccupe Léopold Kossolo, le chef du village de Bac-Lobé-Yapo. « Ce bac est pratiquement le seul dans la région. S'il tombe en panne, toutes les villes alentour se retrouveront isolées les unes des autres. Ce bac renforce la cohésion entre les habitants, il nous rapproche. Bien sûr, il existe des pirogues, mais leurs capacités sont limitées. Il serait plus simple d'installer deux bacs ici et pourquoi pas de construire un pont sur la rivière. » Soudain, l'autre bord apparaît. Les premiers enfants accourent, et l'agitation reprend. Les passagers débarquent, chacun reprenant sa route, laissant derrière eux la courte traversée qui, pourtant, rythme le quotidien de toute une région. « Le bac a plus de 40 ans. Tout le monde sait que la rivière Lobaye est très profonde. Pour éviter tout drame ou naufrage, il est nécessaire de procéder à sa réhabilitation complète et, si possible, d'installer des équipements de sauvetage en cas d'accident. Chaque jour, des centaines de personnes font des allers-retours à cet endroit », explique Léopold Kossolo. La construction d'un pont sur la rivière Lobaye est en cours. Elle s'inscrit dans le cadre du projet du corridor 13, un programme de construction routière reliant la République du Congo, la RCA et le Tchad, financé par la Banque africaine de développement (BAD). Dans la vitrine, rue des Mauvais Garçons à Paris, un chapiteau de cirque, un presse-agrumes, une pile de petits beurres, une lune encerclée de la skyline de Paris, une banane, des viennoiseries noires charbon, des pains comme des portefeuilles. On hésite : des gâteaux ? vraiment ? Oui, des gâteaux, aussi beaux que bons, de petits trésors de design, pensés et créés par Tal Spiegel. La création, l'Alpha et l'Omega du designer devenu aussi pâtissier, tout ce qu'il regarde et touche incarne une idée, de la photo, aux moules, aux objets, le bon et le beau se rencontrent. Abra :  je vais créer. Ses pâtisseries ont des allures de trompe-l'œil, les goûts aussi jouent parfois des tours. Ils sont davantage l'évocation d'un souvenir qu'une traduction littérale. Le chapiteau aux parfums de popcorn et de caramel permet de réconcilier l'enfant, comme Tal ou Tim Burton le réalisateur américain, effrayé par les clowns et les cirques avec la féérie et la fête qui s'y cachent. Le presse-citron bien sûr donne envie d'y faire un croc, lui qui recueille le jus concentré des agrumes et la pulpe, le gâteau vous le permet. Moitié hongrois et marocain par ses grands-mères, les épices, les graines s'invitent dans ses pâtisseries, les goûts se retrouvent dans les créations d'Abra, par exemple la toute nouvelle viennoiserie, un croissant de graines de courge et confiture de carottes, parce que la carotte est bonne en sucré aussi bien qu'en salé ! Le monde d'Abra est onirique, surprenant, méticuleusement construit et pensé, cependant ludique, et clairement délicieux. Cohérent jusqu'au bout :  la bûche de fin d'année 2025 est une carte de Paris, avec ses arrondissements à partager ! Il est possible dans certaines communes de déposer les cendres d'une personnes défunte au pied d'un arbre en forêt, dans un cimetière forestier ou forêt cinéraire. C'est le cas à Yverdon et Bienne, et bientôt à Lausanne. Comment expliquer cette nouvelle pratique? Que dit-elle de notre rapport à la mort, à la nature? Tribu reçoit Marc-Antoine Berthod, docteur en anthropologie de l'Université de Neuchâtel.
