Today's Talmud page, Bava Batra 92, finds the rabbis talking about guarantees. Does a seller owe the buyer anything should a product not meet the buyer's satisfaction? And how might the answer help the retail industry deal with more than $800 billion lost each years to customers sending back stuff? And just what, pray tell, is "wardrobing"? Listen and find out.
In this episode, Beth and Marq talk about the weather. Riveting Podcast content people! But there's also Beth's upcoming trip to Sweden, and the dangers of swimming in the Seine. There's also mention of the possibility of an announcement for the opening date of the World of Frozen in Paris. No Guarantees. What is guaranteed is spending money at DLP, namely the new access service for the Frozen musical Inviatation (15 euros per person), plus we discuss the Disney Enchanted Christmas Season, the refurbishment of the Boardwalk Candy Palace, and the maintenance and possible conversion of Hyperspace Mountain. Overall, it's an informative and entertaining conversation about the latest happenings at Disneyland Paris, including the possibility of reaching episode 200, Cardi B's visit to the park, the new line of merchandise for the 2024 Olympics (non-official), and our own business ideas worth millions. Dues to the lack of listener emails there's no LOL jingle this week, and we briefly discuss the Disney movies 'Wish' and 'Inside Out 2'. Very briefly.

Hey everyone, welcome to episode 205 of the Antler Up Podcast! On this week's episode I was joined by the one and only Cody Jenkins! Cody is the host of the Whitetail Legacy Podcast. Cody is obviously a die hard whitetail hunter from the state of Illinois. The other side of Cody is also relatable to a lot of us in that he is a husband, father, hard worker and coach to a youth football team. After listening to Cody on his podcast over the past year and following him on social media I found myself relating to a lot of what Cody had to say and love how he has a friends group chat all for accountability. This episode we get into a mixed bag of deer hunting and life. From season struggles, success, to being a better person and trying to own the day and more! We led things off by talking about what is new with Cody and how things are shaping up for him in the deer woods. Cody kind of has a roller coaster of a year where he decides to spend a ton of his time and effort on the private pieces he hunts. Well, things didn't go as planned and had a few miscues, but you can hear in Cody's voice how and why he is able to stay positive throughout all this! We discuss these ups and downs and the lessons learned and takeaways that carry over into his everyday life. From here we chatted about being more accountable at home. Cody coaches and he shares the importance of this and why he does it. From his inspiration to being a better father and husband, to helping these kids know they are capable of so much more, Cody shares it and I hope it fires you up for the new year ahead! Stay safe in the woods and enjoy this fun episode and see you next week! Thanks again for all the support and best of luck out there and Antler Up! Learn more about your ad choices. The boss of Auckland's long anticipated underground rail network is giving no guarantees it will hit its opening deadline of 2026. It has suffered several budget blowouts and will cost the city $220 million per year once it opens. Auckland Council's Budget Committee is meeting this week to look at increasing rates to meet "unavoidable" cost pressures brought on by the City Rail Link. The city's mayor is proposing an 8 percent rates increase for the financial year 2026 to 2027, as part of the council's 10 year budget, to soften the blow of City Rail Link costs. Finn Blackwell has more.
There are myriad courses, programs, and coaches available to help you learn skills to succeed in your freelance business. You have a lot of teachers, coaches, and “gurus” to choose from. Or you can choose none and learn it on your own. In this program I talk about the options, about specialists and experts, about offers of success and revenue, and what to look out for. But the main thing I set out to provide you — the one take-away you need to be aware of — is that there are no guarantees. And I explain why. I also share the kind of guarantee I offer in my Freelance Road Trip Business School.
That's a fact and that's a big problem.

On March 29, 2023, skier Dave Brown felt a sudden onset of extreme fatigue that was entirely new to him, and terribly serious. At 67 years old, the former ski patroller had never had any previous medical issues. But during a backcountry ski tour near Teton Pass, he knew he needed to get help—and get it fast. In this episode of The Fine Line, we'll hear how Brown and his ski partner made a critical decision that helped save his life. Joining the conversation is Teton County Search & Rescue volunteer Keegan Pfeil, who explains how the team responded to this life-threatening emergency in a deep timbered ravine where simply locating Brown was a challenge. Interviews and writing by Matt Hansen. Editing and sound by Melinda Binks. The interviews were conducted in the studios of KHOL 89.1 FM. Our theme song is by Anne and Pete Sibley, with additional music provided by Ben Winship. The Fine Line is produced by Backcountry Zero and sponsored by Stio and Roadhouse Brewing Co.

Do you want to explore different ways to market your Canadian private practice while diving into new skills? What are some unique ways to promote your Canadian private practice? Whether you want to diversify your marketing efforts, develop new interpersonal and business skills, expand your network, and increase connection with your client base, podcasting is a powerful and creative tool that you can utilize! I discuss my personal experiences with podcasting for my Canadian private practice and offer you a couple of tips to keep in mind when you give it a go! In This Episode: Trying something new! Podcasting for my Canadian private practice Pros Cons Trying something new! Doing new things within your marketing plan is not only a great business strategy to keep your Canadian private practice in sync with the times, but they also help you to diversify and level up your skill set and keep things interesting. Podcasting for my Canadian private practice A podcast is a great, versatile tool that you can use to enhance your marketing efforts, set your practice apart from the rest, offer free resources to your clients, and so much more. They can be long-form or short-form, whatever length of audio you need to explain ideas or offer content that is tailored to what your audience needs and to what you want to put out. Podcasting, because of the audio, allows you to focus on the content and quality of what you want to say, rather than being focused on “setting the scene” as you might do with creating a video. Pros Limitless: you can record a conversation with a guest from anywhere in the world! There is software available that lets you record conversations and merge them into one podcast even if you and your guest are on opposite sides of the continent. Simplicity: all you have to focus on is the conversation. You do not have to hassle and fuss with the set and design. It's free: offering a podcast is a great way to offer free help to those who need it. SEO boost: your podcast can be published online and link back to your Canadian private practice website, helping to improve and support your growing SEO rankings. Marketing: your growing podcast will greatly support your marketing efforts because it creates new touchpoints for your ideal clients to interact with your content, get to know you, and trust you and your voice – both your physical one and the voice of your brand. Cons Time-consuming: consider working with podcast “seasons” because it helps you to structure your work into periods of work which then allows periods of rest. Without a structure, you will feel like you always need to be recording, and that can push you to burn out really fast. No Guarantees: there is no guarantee that your podcast will help you to get more clients. So experiment with your ideas by completing a couple of episodes and seeing how it goes. Expensive: you can bootstrap a podcast and do all the work yourself, however, that would be a large expense of money and effort. Consider hiring a professional or a team to outsource the work to, because a podcast is definitely an investment. A client gamble: people might not like what you say, and your podcast could then push people away instead of bringing them in. However, the people that it does bring in were the best fit for you, so that could be a bonus! i’ve been listening to music as it’s released or comes into my life. i have a very long queue of things to listen to. some years ago i calculated that it would take me six years to get to the point where i’m listening to music as it comes out. this was assuming that each week i’d be listening to 50 albums and only adding 30 albums to the queue. but it seems like i’ve be listening at a slower rate and accumulating at a faster rate. i spent most of the past few years getting through maybe 30 albums each week, and accumulating more like 50. the reverse. hmmm. this means i won’t ever catch up ever ever.i’ll work on the new estimates for next week!DOWNLOAD/STREAM RECORDING00:00 (intro by omar)00:20 First Base “Eastchester Avenue” Not That Bad02:25 Serpent Season “Hearing Voices” The Sky is Alive with Dying Stars04:40 Jay Som “Peace Out” Anak Ko08:57 Bill Baird “Heart’s Got a Hole” Refractions11:50 Boothe “walk step” 8 or 9 walled room12:19 CD-ROM “FIRE” THE NEW PROGRAM16:22 queer choir “idc if it was 2 years ago” sketchbook of songs17:47 Special Moves “No Guarantees” Split w/ Yeehaw Junction20:33 Yeehaw Junction “Needy” Split w/ Special Moves24:03 erin tanner “a dog nap” a dog told me what to do25:29 When Nalda became punk “Long before” Those words broke our hearts28:34 Oh, Rose “Easy” While My Father Sleeps31:05 FRITZ “YUK!” FRITZ33:34 So Cow “Now That I Am 36” Do Re Mi Fa So Cow36:40 Chiffres “purple” static rainbow39:43 Emmerson & Her Clammy Hands “On My Mind” Crazy 4 Love43:50 Slam Dunk “EZ2C” In Hell45:33 ghostplay “Too Much” 3349:51 Bellhoss “geraniums #2” geraniums54:32 No Sister “Pacific” Influence58:40 Was “Falling Out” WAS 260:12 Mallwalkers “It’s Time” Shake the Rust Off61:49 little cake n jack toft “life is rly ez” little cake n jack toft demo tape63:24 unlimited guests “runners guide” the secret64:16 The Living Eyes “Peak Hour Traffic” Peak Hour Traffic 7"66:38 Boys Age “Good Yesterdays” Initiate - Very Best of Boys Age Vol.269:40 Carla dal Forno “Blue Morning” Top of the Pops72:18 Spud Cannon “Runaway Strays” Squeeze74:51 Jungle Green “Happiness” Runaway With Jungle Green78:10 Plunk 67 “Video Game” Therapy80:12 Ghost Orchard “puppy” Bunny82:09 Philippa Zang “damn, strange” pothole diaries84:02 Lina Tullgren “Free Cell” Free Cell

here are NO GUARANTEES in life. There are only TRIUMPHS and SETBACKS. My guest this week, RYAN SHAZIER, knows this all too well. His story is EXTRAORDINARY. In a single moment, he went from living his best life as an NFL linebacker to the challenge of simply trying to walk again. If you've ever had sudden and traumatic challenges turn your life upside down, you must hear Ryan's story. Because this week, you're going to learn how one man turned a potential tragedy into a NEW BEGINNING. Ryan was an Ohio State Buckeye who was a first-round draft pick at linebacker by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2014. He quickly starred in the league, earning a trip to the PRO BOWL in 2016. But during the 2017 season, he made a headfirst tackle that left him unable to move his legs. Ryan underwent spinal stabilization surgery giving him the tools he needed to heal. His new book, WALKING MIRACLE, goes into detail about what he went through and was a must read for me as soon as I got a copy.Ryan spares no details in what he had to deal with after hearing news that he was paralyzed. But along with his mom and dad, Ryan worked hard to create the POSITIVE MINDSET he would need to start healing. The GOOD NEWS is that surgery worked, and eventually Ryan did walk again. In fact, 17 months after the injury he danced at his own wedding. But his NFL career was over. His identity was stripped away. And while he experienced the SUPREME TRIUMPH OF WALKING AGAIN, the setback of no longer playing the game he loved meant he had to pivot. Ryan's account of how he went from a pro athlete to a businessman is full of lessons you can use in your own life. He'll tell you how he was NEVER RESENTFUL and why that was so critical to MOVE FORWARD, instead of living in a past that no longer existed. There are so many great nuggets of WISDOM in his words that you must hear, especially Ryan's advice for making a COMEBACK after a traumatic life experience.Ryan Shazier embodies what it takes to OVERCOME tragic events in your life. His story will move you, and for those of you who need it, also help HEAL you too.
