Nada is a Palestinian-American author, teacher and mother. She was six years old when her mother kidnapped her from Kuwait, at the time when Iraq invaded Kuwait. They went to the United States where her uncle lived in Rhode Island. She did not yet realize that it was not a holiday but they were going to stay. Her debut book All Water Has a Perfect Memory is a memoir that takes readers from the author's ancestral origins- the coast of Yaffa, Palestine, to her birthplace of Kuwait, eventually landing on the shores of Narragansett Bay in Rhode Island. The narrative confronts generations of silence and, ultimately, revelation with an imaginative blend of folklore and history that explores the relationship between our bodies, ancestors, and the Earth. The work explores the way the author is intertwined with her maternal line while reuniting with her father after a 30-year separation.Voices once hidden in the waters of our bodies are amplified and released to forever alter the landscape, breaking cycles and seeding an audacious hope interconnected to lands past and present.https://jadedibispress.com/product/all-water-has-perfect-memory-by-nada-samih-rotondo/Connect to Stories from Palestine on social media, sign up for the newsletter, read more about traveling to Palestine and if you can, please support the podcast on Ko-fi. Mike Rotondo is the CEO of Altitude Trampoline Parks. With a background in various franchise industries, including Tropical Smoothie and Edible Arrangements, he brings a wealth of experience to his role. Since joining Altitude in 2019, Mike has primarily focused on franchise growth through enhancing the company's processes that ensure consistency of brand standards across all locations. In this interview, Mike talks about the balance of art and process, avoiding brand creep, and pushing for what's possible.   The balance of art and process “How can we take the daily operations of this park and really make it as manageable and as teachable and as scalable as we can?" Maintaining consistent standards is crucial, but so is allowing frontline team members to infuse their authenticity into their roles. Mike emphasizes the importance of creating an environment where employees feel comfortable being themselves while adhering to company guidelines. By blending standardized processes with individual expression, Altitude cultivates a unique and welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensuring an enjoyable and memorable experience for everyone.   Avoiding brand creep "Stay in that space; be who you are." Mike highlights the challenge of maintaining brand identity while innovating. He stresses the importance of staying true to the core brand values and avoiding dilution by pursuing ventures that deviate too far from the brand's essence. In particular, Mike shares insight into the growth strategies of Indoor Active Brands, Altitude's parent company, that is venturing into the Pickleball business.  Entertainment centers focusing on Pickleball are an emerging market at the time of this interview, and their unique nature balances social “eatertainment” with an active sport, making it different from other location-based entertainment concepts such as bowling, golf simulators, and social driving ranges.  This requires an intentional focus on what the experience is and is not, and not adding elements unless they have a direct purpose.   Pushing for what's possible "I'm not interested if this is realistic. What I'm interested in is, is it possible? Mike encourages a mindset of pushing boundaries and exploring possibilities. He challenges his team to think beyond constraints and consider what could be achieved if limitations were removed. By fostering a culture of innovation and pushing the boundaries of what's deemed possible, Altitude aims to stay ahead in the competitive market.   To learn more about Altitude Trampoline Parks or get in touch with Mike, visit AltitudeTrampolineParks.com, or email Mike at Mike@atphq.com.   This podcast wouldn't be possible without the incredible work of our faaaaaantastic team: Scheduling and correspondence by Kristen Karaliunas Audio and video editing by Abby Giganan   To connect with AttractionPros: AttractionPros.com AttractionPros@gmail.com AttractionPros on Facebook AttractionPros on LinkedIn AttractionPros on Instagram AttractionPros on Twitter (X)

Blog post link: https://videogamegrooves.com/2023/06/27/b-side-giovanni-rotondo-8-bit-time-adventures-the-legendary-decks In a special "B-side" interview, we sit down with composer and creative renaissance man Giovanni Rotondo to talk about the third in his latest project to come to vinyl, The 8-bit Time Capsule at Enjoy the Ride Records. This third release of the 8-bit Time Adventures series adds another mashup of video game time and space to the series that already include a Paradox and a Machine. And because it's pretty far out there, we've got to talk about it before we put it on the turntable! Giovanni describes some of his film score work and "speculative" music, shares his own background with video games and modern media storytelling, and explains how that background has fed into his recent video game projects and collaborations with other artists. We also get to hear about another foray into the world of physical musical media and storytelling, The Legendary Decks. We discuss some of the interactivity and programmatic options in the history of vinyl and in the future with projects like The Legendary Decks and what might be possible in the future. The 8-bit Time Capsule (and represses of The 8-bit Time Paradox and The 8-bit Time Machine) are available at Enjoy the Ride Records now. Obamas Cash In On Hollywood's Love For Them

The Derek Hunter Podcast

On today's episode of The Daily Daily Caller Podcast... It's good to be a Democrat: rich liberals give you jobs you aren't qualified for and pay you a lot of money to do them. For eight years Hollywood slobbered over Barack and Michelle Obama, donating millions upon millions of dollars to his campaigns. But hero worship and saliva glands don't end just because a presidential term does. So liberals found a way to keep the Brinks Trucks full of money rolling and continue to empower the Obamas to preach the very liberal politics voters rejected after eight years of attempted implementation --- make them Hollywood producers. Most former Presidents exit the public stage gracefully, but the Obamas have decided they're too important to give up the spotlight, so they've signed a deal with Netflix to produce reality shows, "documentaries" that will likely make Michael Moore seem like an honest storyteller, and whatever else they feel like. Of course, they have no experience producing entertainment programming, but that doesn't matter. The multi-year deal will net them untold millions of dollars, likely shower them with more awards for simply existing, and give them the chance to indoctrinate people well into the future. The crew at "Good Morning America" could hardly contain their excitement at the announcement, with Robin Roberts announcing, "we need that kind of programming. We really do," without having any real idea of what that programming will be. They did so, oddly, to some weird rave music blasting in the background. Because who doesn't want pulsing techno music blasting in the background of their news at 7 a.m.? We mock it all. President Donald Trump is perfectly playing North Korea possibly backing out of the summit next month. In "The Art of the Deal," Trump said you should always be prepared to walk away from any deal, and he demonstrates that and why it's an important option to keep open here. We explain. California wants to give government-funded health insurance to illegal aliens because A) liberals prefer illegal aliens to Americans, and B) they would cut off their nose to spite their face to oppose President Trump. In the name of the "#Resistance," left-coast liberals have decided to go full speed ahead and assume the looming bankruptcy iceberg will swerve in their game of chicken with financial reality. Wasn't California supposed to fall into the ocean at some point? It was supposed to happen because of a earthquake, but maybe it will happen because they've buried themselves in debt and suicidal liberal policies? Finally, the world's biggest loser lost his battle to keep living with his parents. Michael Rotondo, 30, refused to move out of his parents house, so they took him to court. They won yesterday and Michael will have to leave, though he does plan on appealing. Rotondo thinks he's entitled to six months notice, but will settle for 30 days. The judge thinks he can do better than that. Rotondo claims to own a business, but refuses to say what that business is. Why does it feel like it involves action figures? Here is the real life version of the "Comic Book Guy" from The Simpsons explaining. The Daily Daily Caller Podcast is a daily look and mocking of the news from a conservative perspective.
