Scripture For Today: 2 Chronicles 33:13 “And when he prayed to him, the Lord was moved by his entreaty and listened to his plea; so he brought him back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. THEN, Manasseh KNEW, that the Lord was God!” The Prayer of Petition pt 10We have been studying about the Prayer of Petition for the last several days. We've covered the reasons why it works. We covered how to do the research. How to layout the Petition. We covered how to present it. We covered the reasons why this works and the need for your Faith to grow in the process of preparing your prayer of petition. Today, I want to just layout the importance of WRITING OUT your prayer of petition. If possible, do so word for word. That way, when you pray, you are simply reading it to the Lord. Another way, is to list out the bullet points for your case. For example, you have the introduction, where we covered you are presenting this to God, your Heavenly Father, Creator of all things. You are coming before Him in the Name of Jesus, your Savior. You are coming before Him in accordance with your right standing based upon what Jesus did, etc. Then, you present your reason for the petition. Healing, salvation of loved ones, employment, finances, whatever the case is for your petition. Then, you have a bullet point for past cases where a petition just like yours has been answered by God before… Here, you may have your 100 scripture references, minus the scripture passages. Remember, I'm talking right now about your WRITTEN petition. In your prayer, you SHOULD HAVE a separate list of ALL of these scripture references. You need to READ every single one of those scripture references AND the scriptures, “into the record” (if you want to call it that, you've seen that done in court cases, etc.). In each and every single scripture, you start with, “IT IS WRITTEN…(then give the reference and then read the scripture).” This is what will take the majority of your time as you pray and present your petition to God. Once you have finished with that, you draw to your conclusion. Something to the effect of “seeing how you have answered the prayers of other with similar petitions, I know I am standing on good ground right now to believe you will grant this petition as well. I know this because I have based this petition completely on the Word of God, that cannot lie. In addition, (and you need to say this as well), IT IS WRITTEN in 1 John 5:14-15, “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” There for, Sir, I am here, before you this day, with these scripture references of where you have heard the prayers of others in similar circumstances. You heard their prayers. You answered their prayers. I know you have heard my prayer this day. Therefore, I know I have the assurance that you will grant this petition as presented this day. In the Name of Jesus.” AMEN (which means “so be it!”). Then, you need to sign and date it!  Yes, just like a legal brief would be signed and dated and put on file – you need to do the same thing with your Prayer of Petition. If you and your spouse are praying this together, BOTH of you need to sign it! Amen! Just like a legal document. What then? Keep it on file. It is a written record of a legal brief you filed with God Almighty Himself. And what did you state from 1 John 5:14-15...?  “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” So, when the devil brings up, “you're going to die of cancer” or “you're not going to be able to pay your bills,” or whatever it is you created and presented this “Prayer of Petition” for – you can refer back to it. Last year at this time we were unknowingly living our last week of normal. Yup, it’s only been a year.12 months ago, the NBA and NHL were playing basketball and hockey games nightly in front of tens of thousands of fans in indoor arenas. Professional golf was a month away from its’ first Major tournament of the season, the Master’s, to be played in front of hundreds of thousands of fans over the course of 4 days. My wife and I were already looking forward to summer vacation, just over 3 months away, when we’d head to Los Angeles and see Ricky Gervais perform live. Heck, the entire RAD show was already working on major giveaways for listeners to go with us to see Tool in June, Aftershock in October, and even Joe Rogan in December.Broadway was bustling, gyms were packed, there were endless lines of cars at schools every morning and afternoon, and it was only a year ago that if you suddenly desired an ice cold draught beer, you didn’t have to think twice about pulling into the nearest bar and ordering one. This week in 2020, you could actually pretty much do anything on a whim. A quick pop-in to the grocery store was an afterthought, not a dreadful checklist of whether or not you had a face-covering handy and a discussion with yourself over how badly you wanted food versus how miserable the experience was about to be. Wanna go to dinner Friday night? Sure…that’s just a matter of picking the place, not first finding out if the place is allowing dining indoors, or if it’s even still in business. There are endless things we took for granted and to be clear…we SHOULD HAVE. Lame attempts at trying to put a rosy perspective on how appreciative we’ll be moving forward are just that; LAME. We should not, in any way celebrate the things we’ve lost over the last year, especially since we don’t know how many of them we’re even going to get back.Remember that a year ago? Remember having legitimate reason to actually be hopeful? To plan things and not have 1,000 what-ifs-related-to-Covid enter your mind? And I Don’t just mean plan to go to the movies, I mean your 2, 3 and 5-year plan. There is absolutely no logical, reasonable justification to believe we have any idea what the entire planet is going to look like in those years ahead. That’s not to say, at all, whatsoever, that we have the option of not living, of not controlling our own lives, and not finding happiness. That remains the essence of what we must do. But as we approach the one-year anniversary of fundamentally altering our lives forever, it is useful, helpful, instructive, and painful to remember how we were all living one year ago, and why we should be living that way again far sooner than we probably ever will be.I admit I’m not the biggest people person, but I sure do miss seeing people, strangers, smiling. Hell, I miss seeing their damn faces. I miss not having to ask people if they still shake hands or hug. I miss not having to ask people if they were “comfortable” going out or coming over. I miss seeing my dad.A year ago, if one of our dogs had an issue, the thought of going to the vet was actually a pleasure. Now it’s a nightmare for all involved, most notably the animals. I know my mom won’t mind me sharing that she wound up in the ER recently…nothing serious, and she’s fine, but she’s also over 80 and that occasionally means you don’t ignore something that should be checked right away. While it’s funny to say “one good thing about Covid is that I didn’t have to spend the day at the ER with my mom,” (since visitors/guests aren’t allowed), it’s actually not funny. Waiting endlessly on the other end of a text message to find out how someone you love is doing when you SHOULD be there helping them ask questions and comfort them is not pleasant…nor is it right. Which reminds me of another “joke” that needs to stop. The assertion that Covid has made it acceptable to be a slob is not something positive. It’s perfectly fine for any one of us, at any time, to take a comfort day or two…Christ, we all even fall into ruts now and then and just give up for a while; it’s called life. The idea that we’re normalizing not caring at all about our appearances is abhorrent. Every single one of us has a “look,” when we try and that’s a good thing. Why? It’s right there in the sentence! It means we’re TRYING. To encourage people to just give up entirely on a major facet of living a social life is disgusting, especially in light of all of the known mental health devastation we’ve caused in the last year. Incidentally, people that say they miss “dressing up,” piss me off. This is one of the few things that hasn’t been taken away from us; if you wanna dress up, do it, dummy. Have a fancy dinner at home, or (gasp) find a restaurant doing indoor dining and have a date night. They still exist, it just takes a little effort (synonym for try). Also, stop saying you enjoy and/or appreciate less traffic on the road. No one hates other drivers as much as I do, but traffic is a sign of commerce and productivity. We need people on the roads. It was fun for a while, but enough is enough. What about the smell of movie popcorn? Most of us in most of the country haven’t smelled that in almost a year.A year ago you could walk into any clothing store and try things on before you bought them. What a concept. A year ago you thought a person was an axe murderer if they intentionally walked to the other side of the street or obviously avoided coming near you. Now it’s expected and even considered “polite.” A year ago, I couldn’t go a week without multiple in-person business meetings. Now, I’m lucky if I have one or two a month.A year ago I could understand people when they spoke. Of course a year ago, you were a lunatic if you walked around wearing a mask and now it’s the exact opposite and worse; you’re a murderer if you don’t have a mask on.I realize I’d be pushing the boundaries of reality to say that a year ago things made sense, but my God. At least some things did, now nothing at all does. All of this is not meant to depress, nor is it meant to be some positive affirmation as mentioned before of appreciating what we once had. And the truth of the matter is that there are a very very very few good things, societally speaking, about the past year. Most notably, personal space has been restored! No more being crowded by the jerk behind you who’s in such a rush to check-out at the grocery store that he believes standing close enough for you to feel his breath will somehow speed up the process. This Friday, March 12th, marks the one year anniversary of the night the NBA shut down the league due to Covid. One week later California became the first state in the nation to lockdown, and most soon followed, and it all began.A year-ago we were a nation divided, to be sure. Half the nation was salivating over the thought of throwing President Trump out of office and the other half was relishing his upcoming landslide victory. Other than that, we fought about silly stuff, for the most part. Things like movies and sports, hearing Yanny or Laurel and whether or not a hotdog is a sand-which. Now we fight over openings and closings, masks, vaccines, gatherings, travel, and even how far we should run away from someone who sneezes. A year ago this week, I wrote my first soapbox on the Coronavirus. As of this writing, I’ve done a total of 39. The week prior to that, when we were all still living, the soapbox was my response to, and the reprinting of, one of the most moronic e-mails the RAD show has ever received. And that’s saying something. If you want to remember what times like that were, it’s a fun read. https://radradio.com/robs-soapbox/yes-we-actually-receive-letters-like-this/A year ago at this time I was mourning the loss of Kobe Bryant. Today, many of us are morning the loss of our country. I always feared I’d live to see it, although it’s been far more painful to watch than I ever dreamed. What a year.

Likely these solutions may come from your direct boss who has a certain way of doing things.Identify the Gap- The gap is roughly the difference between the intended objective and the status quo. Essentially this is the opportunity cost your organization must use when comparing this against other problems in the organization. Identify the Trap- For each of the implied solutions imagine how you might build the product or service as directed and still not solve the intended objective.Explore Alternatives- Are there other solutions that avoid traps or gaps to address a problem that have not been previously evaluated?Execute an Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to remove biasAHP is a structured process that helps remove politics or bias from decision-making.  It relies on creating relative weights among decision criteria, and possibly decomposing those into sub-criteria resulting in a weighted formula for all inputs.  Those become the equation that is used to evaluate alternatives; each alternative is scored on its sub-criteria then summed up by relative weight, resulting in a relative scoring based on numeric analysis.  For example, selecting a new product might involve evaluating three major criteria:  cost, functionality, and maintenance.  These are ranked pairwise on a relative scale of 1x-9x.  For this example, cost is twice as important as maintenance; functionality is twice as important as maintenance; cost is equally important to functionality.  From that comes a 40% - 40% - 20% ranking (all must sum to 100%).  Next, sub-criteria may be identified and weighted, e.g., initial cost is 1/3 the importance of ongoing cost.  Thus, the 40% global weighting for cost would consist of local weighting of 1 part initial cost [25%] to 3 parts ongoing cost [75%] (1:3 ratio).  So, initial cost becomes 25% of the 40% of total cost = 10% of overall decision, and ongoing cost becomes 75% of the 40% of total cost = 30% of overall decision.  This may be repeated for other criteria at as many levels deep as desired, resulting in an overall weighting of input criteria based on simple pairwise comparisons.  Each candidate choice is now be scored for each criterion on a selected scale (e.g., Option A scores 4 of 10 for initial cost, Option B scores 8 of 10 for initial cost), and the weighted products are summed for a final score.     References for Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP):Everyman's linkShorter explanation link (pitches productized version)Online calculator linkExpensive eBookNot-so-expensive reference

Is Multi-Generational Living for You? – Ep 234

Rock Your Retirement Show

Play Episode Listen Later Jul 6, 2020 23:29

Are you living in a multi-generational household or considering having your parents move in? Do you take care of aging parents as well as your own children? Do you know someone who is having challenges with caring for their parents? If any of these situations are yours, then this series is for you. If you’re asked to picture a typical American home, you’ll probably imagine a single-family dwelling holding a mom, dad, kids and maybe a family pet. That picture isn’t as typical as it once was. Today’s family home may also house grandparents or a young adult or two. Multi-generational living is a term used to describe households in which there are at least two adult generations in residence. Two types of multi-generational living are becoming more common in recent years; two-generation households, where adult children live with parents, and three-generation homes, where there are adult children, parents, and grandparents living under the same roof. Challenges in Parenting Having parents around has some advantages, like being able to be a backstop for any kind of child care. A lot of young parents go through this challenge when they first become parents on what to do with childcare you know one of the spouses stays home and one of them calls part-time. Can they do remote work opportunities, or can they make it work if your work is close enough? Where they can have an in-house nanny? There's a lot of just different challenges when talking to peers. One of the first to talk about is how are you handling child care. Have you found a nanny or have you found good child care, a daycare in your location? For Tae, thankfully having his parents there has allowed them to continue full force on their career. Thankfully, on the days that both of them have to leave the house, his parents are able to help out with that. It's amazing just having that support. Save Up as Much Money as You Can You want to be just as financially prepared as possible, especially when it’s your peak earning years. To be able to just kind of get our head down, work as much as you can because you know there could be a time and hopefully not ten years down the line if one of you really needs to be home to spend more time with one of your parents. That could be a possibility, and for Tae’s family, they don't want finances to become a burden. A lot of people in my generation, the baby boomers or Gen Xers, even though we can financially afford to retire we would feel that something was missing in our lives if we weren't working and that's what a lot this show is about. It started because I've been trying to retire on my own, trying to let go of work, and that's why we're here. But it is good to listen to the other generation’s point of view as well and I think as long as you and your parents and your wife are all communicating so that when your parents don't want to work for a week or whatever you know because when you're older, you don't have as much energy to run after a five and six. In a Multi-Generational Household we Should Have a Time for Ourselves and a Time for the Family Tae said it is very important just for his parents to have their alone time with their friends or just the 2 of them. For his wife and kids, they also have their own family time. They try to go to get away for the weekend, just the 4 of them. Thankfully, just as his parents are independent they're okay with them saying, “Hey we're going to go away for the weekend” and they're totally fine with that they're like, great the house is going to be quiet for the weekends. Once in a while,

This Podcast Is Episode Number 0270, And It Will Be About Construction Contractors Need Help From Knowledgeable Advisors Everywhere there a Buzz Words and lots of people who say they are Experts in their field. Question is What the Expert knows is in a topic that is useful to you? Everyone wants to be paperless. It is not so much about saving a Tree as saving Time. How can I get to My Bookkeeper, My Accountant, My Tax Accountant the information they need to develop the reports? Most contractors tell me "Actually, I don’t want the reports I only want to know "scraps of information" so I can run My Business better. If there is an easy way to get the job done; I want to know it. There must be an App For That." There are several apps and we have one just for Construction Contractors. It does a lot but no app does everything. One of the first questions I am asked is do I have to keep my receipts? After all, I used my debit card, and it is all on the bank statement Bank Statements do not give all of the information needed to run your business. If you write a check, it will say When and How Much but not the “Who” and definitely not on WHY you wrote a check. Debit card transactions have Who, When and How Much; still no WHY. My answer is Yes – Please. Many suppliers will take a product back IF you have a receipt. A few with your credit card will be able to find your transaction and be able to credit the purchase back to the card. For everyone else; your receipt is the fastest way to document you actually made the purchase. Stores return policy is as generous as they can be. But not everyone can offer 100% refund for something that is obviously worn out, purchased from somewhere else or sometime long ago. We have all heard stories where dress clothes (with tags attached and hidden) are worn to a “fancy party” (New Year’s Eve’s) and next day returned to the store for a full refund. I don’t know of anyone personally who has done it but reading on the internet – many stores have changed return policies because of this type of customers (not clients). Kinda like being an “Unwelcome Pest” instead of a “Welcome Guest.” I was in a store who refused to accept a return from the customer in front of me. The clerk told the customer they had made Too Many Returns. We want to be the Welcomed Guest, be a good neighbor, friend, the benefit to our community as we provide “Goods and Services” to our friends and clients. Not everyone is a Good Client or Customer.   Tax Accountants are someone every Contractor should have. Why, when Turbo Tax can do it all? Turbo Tax is in simple terms an “AI” programmed to fill in the blanks based on the information you give it. So as an AI, the software might be smarter than you and I; but remember that “The Computer” does not win whenever playing against “Chess Masters” and a “Real Person” has done the programming. Here are the Should Have, Ought To Have, Maybe, Because [fill in the blank] with as many as you can think of and here are some more. You have already “Over Handled” your documents; especially if you are doing all of your own bookkeeping. I can’t afford to “Hire It Out” Sometimes your budget is “Toast!” Are you spending time doing the right things? The old saying “Sell Your Way Out Of A Problem” is true, but be sure you have done the right job for the right client, and the right price can only be answered when the accounting system has the proper information. The answer is a knowledgeable person between the keyboard and chair touching the keys. Hint - There is a difference between Void and Delete.   Quicken could work as an overgrown checkbook. What would it tell you? Wait, I took the easy step interview, synced to my bank; it has everything it needs!  Does It? or does it have everything YOU think it needs to be based on what you know? If you are the Smarted Person in the room – Fantastic. Excited to meet someone who has read and understood everything on the internet. All information is “Free, Perfect, Now!” Still doesn’t mean it is useful information to anyone and everyone who reads it versus just tons of general data. We each have different opinions on “What Is Important.”   Questions to ask your New or Existing Tax Accountant Explain the differences in Sole Proprietorship, Partnership, Limited Liability Company, S-Corporation. Now, What is the Difference when it comes to Taxes Hint – Self Employment Tax Some Respected Attorneys do not understand the differences between a Tax Point of View.   Should I have my spouse as part of the company? Paid or Unpaid?   Maybe I don’t need to add them if something happens to me [she|he] gets everything.   I want to hire other Family Members to work in my company. Should I have them as an employee, part of management or own a portion of the company?    I want my friends to be part of the company; we have a great time on Friday night. We all agree that they would be an asset. (Does the part “We All Agree” include your spouse? Occasionally Spouses find being supportive becomes a “Full Time” unpaid position.   Is there a tax benefit to hiring my Teenage or College Children Part-time? Your Tax Accountant’s role is to roll up your business life, personal life (including spouse, children, assets, home, retirement account, stock market accounts, odds and ends of side income) and file your business and personal income taxes. Some states do not have an Income Tax (Washington) but have numerous other taxes. Soda Tax, Sales tax, Vehicle tax, Property taxes that continue to increase and more. Have you ever played “Where’s Waldo” or walked through a “Corn Maze” to get in the spirit of Halloween? Being in business is challenging every day. There are no shortage demands on your time. Who is working for Who? What type of contractor do you want to be? General Contractor or Specialty Trade Contractor? Do you provide Design and Install or just Design or just Installation? Are you working directly with the Home Owner? Do you work as a Specialty Trade Contractor for a General Contractor? Are you being paid by the Owner or by the General Contractor”? Having employees can seem like You Are Working For Them Instead of Them Working For You (except you are paying in cash, loss of time, taxes, and other Cash and Non-Cash Benefits (which takes cash). Do you have W-2 employees? Are you paying them to watch you work (under the premise of teaching them)? Do you have Specialty Trade Contractors work for you?    Are they Bonded, Insured, carry their own Worker’s Comp policy?   Are you treating your employees as 1099 contractors so avoid collecting and paying taxes? Hint – Use a Labor Service or Payroll Service. State Labor Laws can be complicated   It's All About Getting Paid You Know How To Do The Work Are You Getting Paid For It?   Do you have a written contract or invoice that the Client signs? Do you set the payment schedule in your contracts? Do you receive Job Deposits on larger projects?   Is the payment schedule set by Others?   Have you given the owner of the property a “Notice To The Owner?” Followed by a “Notice Of Intent To Lien” if they decide you be doing “free work?” With a Specialty Contractor with a “Pay When Paid” clause? Are you working New Construction, Residential Remodels, Small Commercial Projects (TI’s)? They are each different. As a Construction Contractor, you understand the difference between the type of work you do. It is important to verify that your Tax Accountant has a clue about what you do. As a Construction Contractor, you have many expenses that an “Independent Traveling Sales Person” would not have. It is by exception that a Construction Contractor completes a project without having any Leftover Stuff. Outside Sales People tend to lease their vehicle and miles are usually freeway miles so taking a mileage deduction makes sense. The wear and tear on your vehicle are huge. Almost Always taking actual expenses is better. You haul stuff from the supplier to the job site. You create a mess in the process of remodeling a house. That mess needs to be recycled, reused or taken to the dump. Scraps of lumber, cardboard, packing are just more stuff that makes a tour of your truck, van or trailer. Even if you have an On-Site Dumpster – There is still “Stuff” to be dealt with. Hint - Hopefully you can return the “Extras” to the supplier. Many marketing firms will also offer to be your Business Coach. Again, this person needs to understand about your business. Numbers are great! Your Banker is your numbers best friend and understands the numbers on the Tax Return you receive from your Tax Accountant. Tax Accountant adds credibility that you did not do the job yourself. In other words, you are not making them up (or reducing them down). The same thing applies when Bank requests Homeowner to HIRE A LICENSED CONTRACTOR to do the project, and the Bank pay the Contractor direct. Why, because with a set of prints the Licensed Construction Contractor knows What To Do and How To Do It! Construction Contractors cringe when they see on the news any buildings that collapse when Building Codes with good workmanship it could be prevented. The first Question is: Has your Business Coach, Tax Accountant, or Banker ever worked with a Construction Contractor? If you are their First Construction Contractor Client; great as long as you know it! As a New, Seasoned, or Returning Contractor if you are being compared to that Espresso Stand down the street that is a big deal. Hint – You have Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and by exception Inventory. Then Jami discusses her regret over using a water-based stain and what she SHOULD HAVE done instead. In the food segment, she defines "Pantry Basics" and how you can easily make these items you thought you had to buy at the grocery store. Plus, a book-on-tape they really enjoyed together. And much, much more. (Possibly too much?)

Self Directed Investor Talk: Alternative Asset Investing through Self-Directed IRA's & Solo 401k's

Contempt, Whistleblowers and Wall Street.  Today you learn just how far the scumbags on Wall Street will go to line their own pockets at your expense, and it's DISGUSTING.  Get ready for more evidence that the men and women of "BIG FINANCE" absolutely loathe you.  I'm Bryan Ellis.  This is Episode 138.------Hello, SDI Nation.  Welcome to the podcast of record for savvy, self-directed investors like you!Today, you hear a story that's disgusting, but very illustrative.  I hope you'll not just take this story as an anecdote, but as a motivator to action.  Because my friends, though this story is about the contempt that drives one single person, if he gets what he wants, it will have a very direct and very negatve impact on millions of people-quite certainly including many, many listeners to this show.Today's story is one of contempt and greed.  Allow me to set the stage.Back in 2006, Congress authorized the creation of a Whistleblower Office within the IRS.  The idea was simple - to motivate people to identify others thought to be engaged in tax fraud, with the motivation of receiving a percentage of the taxes collected as a result.  Yep, a formal "snitching" program.  Classy, huh?  But the IRS was really only after the "big fish", because the reward only applies if there's potential for collecting more than $2,000,000.And, like everything else the government does, this program is wildly inefficient.  For example, in 2012, 8,634 people snitched on their employers, their competitors, their neighbors and their friends.  How many of those cases resulted in collecting $2,000,000 or more?  12.  Yep, 12.  Not even 1% of the cases reported by snitches resulted in achieving the ojective of the program.  Barely 1% of 1%, actually.Yes, the IRS Whistleblower program connects to Wall Street's loathing for you.  Hang with me.Another piece of this tale is the mutual fund company Vanguard.  This is where the story will connect to many of you, my dear listeners.Vanguard is a very highly reputable mutual fund company that has achieved some impressive operational efficiencies.  As a result, the fees they charge clients of their mutual funds are far less than their competitors.  In fact, their average expense ratio is, depending on whose stats you're looking at, somewhere between 60 and 85% less than the industry average.  And despite this, their mutual funds are competitive in terms of returns. As a result, Vanguard has become a very large company and is a favorite of individual investors who want to keep their expenses low.So what's the problem?A guy named David Danon used to work for Vanguard.  Danon is a lawyer.  And Danon chose to use the information to which he had access while acting as a lawyer for Vanguard to report them to the IRS for underpayment of taxes.I want that to sink in for just a moment.  Let's set aside, for a moment, whether Vanguard actually underpaid taxes.  I want you to focus on the fact that Danon, an attorney for Vanguard who continued to work for them while he was preparing this Whistelblower claim, an attorney who is bound by attorney-client confidentiality, nevertheless reported his client to the IRS... not out of the goodness of his heart, but because he expects to be paid a percentage of the revenue the IRS may attempt to collect. That, my friends, is disgusting. But why does Danon allege an underpayment of taxes?  This gets to the point of contempt for YOU.  As in all lawsuits, the devil is in the details, but in this one specifically, the general idea is this:  Danon alleges that because Vanguard charges lower fees to it's clients than it's competitors, that it therefore made less profit than it should.  And therefore, Danon suggests, Vanguard should be taxed on the fees it SHOULD HAVE charged. That's right, folks, Vanguard is being accused of being a tax cheat essentially because they could have made more profit than they actually did.  They didn't rip you off like all of their competitors, and this guy Danon - a Wall Street guy - wants them to pay for it.And, if he wins in this effort, Vanguard will pay... but more importantly, YOU will pay.The bottom line:  This guy Danon, a Wall Street insider to be sure, is doing just the same as his industry does:  Putting his own interests far ahead of that of clients like YOU.This isn't a small deal.  My reading of this situation suggests that there's a tax bill of nearly $35 BILLION at stake for Vanguard, should they lose.  And who will pay that?  You.  Not just You if you're a Vanguard customer.  You if you're invested in Wall Street at all.  Because after Vanguard's low pricing model goes, there will be no real competitive restraint to even higher fees.At the end of the day, the real issue is confiscatory taxation that’s weaponized against taxpayers in the form of a Whistleblower program that is proven to be astoundingly inefficient.  But you can’t do much about that, other than by voting for politicians who believe, correctly, that taxes are far too high. But what you CAN do – what you SHOULD do – is to stop merely CONSIDERING shifting your assets out of the stock market and into an asset class that actually MAKES SENSE.  You need to actually TAKE ACTION!To that end, I’ve got some great news.  In the coming week, I’ll have a lot more to share with you about some TRULY worthwhile assets… some very attractive cash flowing rental properties that you can purchase in strong markets, with guaranteed rental income, built-in property management and at below-retail pricing!  We’re at an advanced stage in working to acquire a great portfolio of cash-flow producing rental property, and I’ve got to tell you… this one is exciting.  If you’re considering the purchase of rental property in the near future – or particularly if you’re seriously considering another property right this moment – I respectfully suggest you consider waiting until next week when you hear what I have to share with you.  You’ll be very, very glad you did.I’ll announce more about that on this show when the details are confirmed, but as always, the best way to make sure you get the most timely notice of great opportunities is to be on my TOP PICKS notification list.  To get on that list, at no cost, just text the word TOPPICKS with no spaces to 33444.  Again, text the word TOPPICKS to 33444.  It’s spelled TOPPICKS with no spaces.Well, my friends, I’m off to spend a day with daughter at a college interview she’s been invited to attend.  I hope you have a great weekend, and be sure to join me on Monday because on that day, I’m going to tell you about that magical world of hedge funds and private placements that have always been the exclusive domain of the very wealthy… and I’ll show you how YOU can get access to that world, as well… even if you’re not exactly Bill Gates.  But the only way to get it for sure is to SUBSCRIBE to this show on iTunes or Stitcher, so be sure to do that right now!In the mean time, folks:  Invest wisely today, and live well forever!
