In Absorption Narratives: Jewishness, Blackness, and Indigeneity in the Cultural Imaginary of the Americas (U Toronto Press, 2025), Stephanie M. Pridgeon explores cultural depictions of Jewishness, Blackness, and Indigeneity within a comparative, inter-American framework. The dynamics of Jewishness interacting with other racial categories differ significantly in Latin America and the Caribbean compared with those in the United States and Canada, largely due to long-standing and often disputed concepts of mestizaje, broadly defined as racial mixture. As a result, a comprehensive understanding of Jewishness and the construction of racial identities requires an exploration of how Jewishness intersects with both Blackness and Indigeneity in the Americas. Absorption Narratives charts the ways in which literary works capture differences and similarities among Black, Jewish, and Indigenous experiences. Through an extensive and diverse examination of fiction, Pridgeon navigates the complex connections of these identity categories, offering a comparative perspective on race and ethnicity across the Americas that destabilizes US-centric critical practices. Revealing the limitations of US-focused models in understanding racial alterity in relation to Jewishness, Absorption Narratives emphasizes the importance of viewing the narrative of race relations in the Americas from a hemispheric standpoint. The youngest of 13 children, Stephanie M. Jones spent her childhood in Detroit soaking up entrepreneurial skills as a shampoo girl for her single mother, who worked as a hairdresser and cosmetologist. In high school, she was voted “Best Dressed” and “Most Likely to Succeed” (thanks in part to her habit of wearing dresses and carrying a briefcase to school), and she vowed at an early age to be her own boss by the time she was 30 years old.   Now, Jones is perhaps best known for her roles as the founder and CEO of the Cultural Heritage Economic Alliance (CHAT); the creator of the National Blacks and Tourism Collaborative; and a member of the U.S. Travel and Tourism Advisory Board for the U.S. Department of Commerce. But she's also someone who — after many years of facing her own professional challenges — has made it her life's mission to serve others by creating a more equitable space for underserved groups, from single mothers to small business owners and everyone in between.   In this episode of Humans of Travel, Jones dives into some of her early pursuits, from working as a secretary in a discriminatory work environment to her time marketing small businesses and creating My Daughter's Keeper, a nonprofit organization to help cultivate healthy relationships between mothers and their adolescent daughters.   Listeners will also hear about Jones' latest mission: To create tangible opportunities for Black and Brown small businesses to market themselves and attract the attention of tourism industry stakeholders across the U.S.  INSIDE THIS EPISODE 01:00 Meet Stephanie M. Stolen Seed, Evil Harvest - Interview with Karin Wilkinson Show NotesSummary: Karin Wilkinson is featured in LA Marzulli's film The Coming UFO Invasion: Exposing the Dragon's Dark Secrets. Karin is a saved believer in Christ and has had the experience of being abducted multiple times since childhood. She is a wife, mother, and grandmother who worked in the tech industry for many years before retiring to raise her family. Karin has completed her book Stolen Seed, Evil Harvest, A True Account of Lifelong Alien Abduction and the Evil Alien Agenda which is one of the most fascinating accounts of alien abduction I have ever read. Today she has graciously agreed to appear on Bible Mysteries to discuss with us her experiences in even greater detail as related in her book. This Episode brought to you by: Our Premium Subscribers or “Seekers” Deborah S., Randal W., Peri M., Stephanie M., and Denise H. (March & April 2023)Warning: Some of the material in this book may be disturbing including references to alien abduction, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, trauma, kidnapping, child grooming, and child abuse. Questions for Karin:You ask several questions in the introduction of your book, and I think two of them stand out for me and perhaps many people: What do the aliens want? What is their end game? Let's start with your summary of these two questions. You and I both believe another statement in your book, that non-human alien entities are intervening with humans in an attempt to corrupt the human bloodline, and that this is the dark agenda of Satan and his cohorts. Do you think this genetic manipulation is a “modern” or more advanced version of Genesis 6?You mention two dates: Roswell in 1947 and the Grenada Treaty of 1954. What are those events, and how do you believe they tie in to the modern abduction agenda?Your book is so thorough as to include some definitions, which I know readers will appreciate. Two terms that stood out to me as unfamiliar are ectogenesis and panspermia. Can you share with our listeners what they mean and why they tie in to the abduction phenomenon? You share what you called a near-life experience. How did this serve to strengthen your faith and trust in the Lord's care in spite of all you've been through?Your book explains the Scriptural background of ancient genetic manipulation instigated by the Seed War of Genesis 3:15 and demonstrated later in the days of Noah. Based on what you've seen, do you think Canaan and Nimrod could have been genetically manipulated hybrids?Too many believe these “aliens” are well meaning space brothers who wish to bring light and enlightenment to humanity. Share with us what you experienced with these beings and why you know they do not have good intentions toward humanity.Your abduction experiences began at a very young age. Why do you suppose children are targets for abduction? You mention grooming as part of the alien agenda. Do you mean this in the same connection we see with pedophiles, or is there another purpose to this grooming? To be blunt, you write that you were raped by these beings. We know rape among humans is an act of violence with no real intent to produce offspring. Are these beings malevolent in the same way, that they are not only interested in producing hybrids but also seek to inflict violence and pain? You mentioned that you would try to explain what was happening to adults and they did not believe you. In your experience, is this a typical reaction? Why do you believe that a strong reason that abductions run in families is the common DNA passed down from one generation to the next. You explain that you were trained on piloting these UFOs and taught certain...

This episode features, Judge Hon. Stephanie M. Sawyer is trying to make a difference in Philadelphia and stated that once she got elected to the Bench, as a Municipal Court Judge, the first thing she said to herself was that she was not going to be the kind of Judge that was going to “feed the beast that was mass incarcerations.” In fact, Judge Sawyer revealed that, “that is how the system currently operates,” but stop short of providing any further comments on the issue and decided to table her opinions on the matter for later. Nevertheless, Judge Sawyer went onto explain that the general path when someone gets convicted, except for “Intentional Carve Outs…,”Ms. Sawyer, interrupted her chain-of-thought to explain what is meant by Intentional Carve Outs, important to understanding the point she was about to make concerning the general path when someone gets convicted. According to Judge Sawyer, “Carve Outs” are things such as Accelerated Rehabilitated Disposition. For example: “they say if you have a zero prior record score, we're not going to put you through the criminal record system, & we are going to give you a different path. They have drug treatment court, so because you're a drug addict we are going to carve you out of the Criminal Justice System and treat you in this manner, or Veteran's Court, because you' re a Veteran we are going to carve-you-out of the Criminal Justice System and treat you in this path, or Mental Health Court, because you have mental health problems, we gonna carve you out of the Criminal Justice system….” Judge Sawyer then went back to where she had left off, when she was commenting on the general path when someone gets convicted, except for intentional “Carve Outs,” pointing out that: the Criminal Justice system works like this, “a Judge will sentence somebody to probation and flog-them-off to probations or flog-them-off to probation officers, or they'll sentence them to Incarcerations and flog-them-off to the Department of Corrections and [over ninety percent] (90 %) get out. Then they get flogged off to Parole Officers. And the next time that Judge who sees the person they sentenced, will be when a Probation/Parole Officer is so frustrated that they opine revocation, because the Defendant [or Parolee] is either not doing what the Probation or Parole Officer asked them to do or have a new case, or has a new conviction. In those three (3) circumstances, a Probation/Parole Officer will request a “Violation of Probation Hearing” to recommend additional punishment. And the next time a sentencing Judge sees a person that they had sentenced, is when that happens – [meaning Revocation, Re-incarceration leading to Mass Incarceration]. This led her to a very important conclusion couched in a question, “so if Judges sees people only to punish people, when exactly do they help?” As such, Judge Sawyer explains that she has created a system, a program called “Resource-Based Sentencing and Supervision”; indicating that “it's how you sentence and it's how you supervise. In that model, Judges are part of the solution. Judge Sawyer stated that: “most of my corner boys, they are frustrated entrepreneurs, if we give them a change of product, then we'd be actually doing something. So, [we help to cultivate] their entrepreneurial spirit... As a Judge she is trying to help reduce recidivism through the "Consentencing Foundation" that will be launched in November. What can Judges do to help prevent recidivism and how can we make our society better? The Neoliberal Round Podcast met up with the Hon. Judge Stephanie M. Sawyer who was a speaker at the Day of Community Enlightenment in Germantown Philadelphia. We interviewed some of the attendees, local business talent promoting their craft. Ms. Jackson, author of “I'm not hypocrite I'm human,” talked about the event at the beginning and provided insights into the aim of the program. Who is Hon. Juliet M. Sawyer? Hon. Stephanie Sawyer Judge, Court of Common Pleas Although Stephanie M. Sawyer was born in Queens, New York, her home city is the City of Philadelphia where she was raised and has continuously lived since, she was a very little girl. She is a product of the Philadelphia public school system attending J.R. Masterman, Philadelphia High School for Girls, and she went on to earn her undergraduate and law degrees from Temple University. Judge Sawyer is a single parent of two children who was raised by a single parent where she learned her commitment to the community and her understanding that hard work is the key to success. Judge Sawyer is currently a Municipal Court Judge in Philadelphia County, having her judicial nomination confirmed by the state senate on June 30, 2014, she was then sworn in on July 16, 2014. Prior to this appointment, Judge Sawyer was the sole practitioner of her own Center City based law office which she maintained for almost two decades. What was interesting was the passion with which she shared about how judges were part of the problem and how they can be part of the solution in relation to incarcerations, convictions and the mitigating recidivism. She talked about her efforts as a Judge and member of society and community to raise awareness and provide opportunities to vulnerable populations and those re-entering society to develop certain literacy skills, such as business and critical thinking. In fact, she revealed that she will be launching a foundation to this end in the beginning of November 2022, (Th Neoliberal Round Podcast will be present at the event.) Thank you for Listening!
