Ok. Listen. Luke knows that this isn't a horror movie but at least we didn't talk about it in a timeline that is itself, super dark. Whoops. Stick around and listen to us chat about the teeniest indie movie you ever heard about with 2017's Super Dark Times! It's got teen angst, it's got samurai swords. It's got..... milk cartons filled with water. Thanks for sticking with us, the times may be super dark, but at least we can have some laughs.

It's the HOLIDAY HORROR SEASON! This week for our final episode of the year we decided to pick some films that are around Christmas and involve kids. Whether they are out to take parents out, or their friends. We partake in the Christmas "Spirit" this week for the 2 horror films to review that you may or may not of seen. First we start off with The Children (2008). A movie about 2 sisters and their families that join together for Christmas in a far away cottage. While celebrating this special time together as a family the children start getting sick and start plotting to kill their own family. Then we take on a movie that Christina has been wanting to cover on the podcast. Super Dark Times (2017). A story about some kids in the 90's that live pretty average suburban lives until one day an accident happens between 2 best friends. It not only threatens their friendship, their love interest and maybe even their friends. We review both of these films and talk about some of their trivia and thoughts on the matter. JOIN US! We will return to the podcast in January for our Top Horror of 2023. We will be posting videos on Youtube steadily. Happy Holidays Everyone! Mark and Jonny Numb (@JonnyNumb on X) discuss the 2000 drama film The Virgin Suicides. Directed by Sofia Coppola, and starring Kirsten Dunst, Josh Hartnett, Kathleen Turner, and James Woods, the adaptation of Jeffrey Eugenides 1993 book (of the same name) kicked off Coppola's Oscar winning career and it makes for a fine addition to the Jonny Numb “Feel Good Series.” In this episode, they also talk about soundtracks, wigs and the filmography of Kirsten Dunst. Enjoy! Also, make sure to listen to the “Feel Good Series” which includes movies like First Reformed, Green Room, The House That Jack Built, Only God Forgives, Super Dark Times, Thirst, and many more excellent films! This show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/3382899/advertisement

It's our very first anime review on the pod! We thrilled to be reviewing "Magnetic Rose," the first segment of the 1995 cinematic anthology MEMORIES based on the works of Katsuhiro Otomo. And not only are we thrilled that our first anime on the pod has a screenplay by Satoshi Kon (PERFECT BLUE, PARANOIA AGENT), but we're joined by a pair of fabulous guests: Luke Piotrowski and Ben Collins! You know their screenwriting work from THE NIGHT HOUSE, SUPER DARK TIMES and more, but alongside Kevin Phillips they are also the hosts of Sync Ratios, a terrific Neon Genesis Evangelion podcast. We've had such an amazing run of special guests since our pod began, but it was particularly fun to chat anime with two folks we're enormous fans of, and we really can't thank Ben and Luke enough for their time. We run down where you can currently find their feature films during the review (HELLRAISER arrives on Hulu on Oct 7th!), but we highly encourage any Evangelion fans to check out the Sync Ratios podcast. And as always, thanks so much for listening!!
No one asked for us to do Super Dark Times (2017) But sometimes you just do something you want to do for yourself... or in this case David's. And well, this is not a horror movie, it is a suspenseful one and a very good film at that I might add! We also now have a theme song intro and outro in our episodes now, provided to us by the very talented Jesse Jace Thomas, where you can find more of their music at Jessejacethomas.bandcamp.com Let us know what you think on Twitter: @finallywatched or Instagram: @ifinallywatched

„Super Dark Times” – pełnometrażowy debiut reżyserski Kevina Phillipsa – to nieodkryty klasyk. A Wy? W drogę!!! 00:53:40 - sekcja spoilerowa Artykuł Marty przeczytacie oczywiście na Final Girls. On this episode Derek, Nick, and Justin talk about the 2017 film Super Dark Times, written by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski. This film is an excellent window into the life of teenage boys growing up in the late 90's, with a dark twist that pushes an already crumbling friendship to the brink. Directed by Kevin Phillips, this film is an absolute masterpiece in tone, audio, and cinematography that all culminates into a dreamlike world of nostalgia. With a cast of all unknown (at the time) actors that absolutely smash it out of the park, we cannot recommend this one enough.

Today on The Total Media Network's The Dr. Christopher Hall Show, Dr. Chris and The Total Tutor Neil Haley will interview Actor Max Talisman. Actor, singer and writer, Max Talisman is set to make his directorial debut in his upcoming romantic comedy, THINGS LIKE THIS. The film stars Charlie Tahan (Netflix's “Ozark”), Eric Roberts (THE DARK KNIGHT) and Miles Tagtmeyer (DISNEY DESCENDANTS: SCHOOL OF SECRETS), and tells a story of two guys who fall in love and while everything seems to align for them to be together, they begin to question fate as they encounter an obstacle. Growing up in Washington DC, Max started performing in 3rd grade. He participated in musical theatre, including productions at the Musical Theatre Center (MTC), one of the leading performing arts education organizations for young people in the Washington DC area. It was the moment when he played the 2nd lead role in the through-composed musical, “Caroline, or Change” that he felt theatre was his calling. When his senior year of high school began, Max made the courageous move to NYC to follow his passion for theatre. He joined the Broadway Artists Alliance, a professional training academy for promising young musical theatre performers right in the heart of New York City. After living in the big apple for 5 years, he decided to make his way to Hollywood, California. He's appeared in The Orchard's SUPER DARK TIMES, TBS' “Search Party” and NBC's “The Blacklist”.
