Clip of the Week-"Have you Ever Read About Elijah?" Brother Harry Collins, Sr. Even though Bro. Harry Collins, Sr. preached with great effect throughout his life, only a few of this brother's sermons were recorded and preserved for our benefit. Please take advantage of this opportunity to hear this voice of the past (1952) from a man that was widely respected in his generation as a preacher and a man of God. In “Have you ever read about Elijah?” he preaches that it is absolutely necessary that we be holy sanctified and that this be a holy church without spot and without wrinkle. He concludes with Balaam's blessing from Numbers 24. The full meeting includes testimonies from Bro. Levy Hagan, Bro. Shuford Price, and Bro. Billy Gray. Brother David Cosby
“The more you can adjust your communication to fit your customer, the more effective you'll be.” – Rob Broadhead In this episode of Building Better Developers, part of the Building Better Businesses season, hosts Rob Broadhead and Michael Meloche explore customer communication strategies. From tone and timing to tools and follow-up processes, they share real stories and practical tips that every developer and entrepreneur should know. Tone and Timing: Keys to Effective Customer Communication Strategies One of the top takeaways? Tone matters. Even when following up on an unanswered email, how you phrase things can shape how your customer perceives you. Rob cautions against saying things like, “As I said in my last email…”, which can feel accusatory. Instead, assume the best: maybe the message got lost, or perhaps they're dealing with their storms (literal or figurative). ⏱ Timing tip: If you don't get a response within 24–48 hours, follow up—but kindly. A quick “just checking in” keeps communication open and positive. Customer Communication Strategies Start with the Right Tools “Don't force your communication tools on your customers. Find out what works best for them.” – Michael Meloche Different customers prefer different channels. Some want a phone call, others prefer text, while many prefer email. Your job? Adapt to their preferences. This can be a game-changer in building trust for developers and entrepreneurs juggling multiple platforms.
Sometimes it's really empowering to embody a pissed-off rage junkie, the kind of human chainsaw who can charge wildly into every confrontation and savagely batter everything in their path. Deathtrap, discover Shady Part of Me, Virtua Fighter 5 REVO, and Eternal Strands, and talk about GTA 6 news, the Microsoft Developer Direct, and your favorite videogame prequels. This week, we delve into news from Summer Game Fest, Xbox Games Showcase, and Ubisoft Forward — but not before inviting Chris Baker on to talk about five "lesser" ports of A-list games that suddenly became the only versions after the "real" games got canceled. We'll also take a look at Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Selaco, and the pop-culture icons you think still need defining games. Question of the Week: Have you ever had a chance to experience a piece of "lost" media (canceled games, unreleased movies, etc.)? Tell us about it. This week, the crew discusses the ideal time to move in with a significant other, whether or not current hip hop fans can appreciate legacy acts, and then consider the Question of the Week: "Have you ever experienced an instant turn off?" You don't want to miss this one folks, we haven't even reached the climax yet.
Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is out this week, and new guest Trone L. Dowd reviewed it for Inverse — but first, we'll talk about five other games where you're hounded (and often guided) by voices in your head. We'll also get into XDefiant, Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, Arctic Eggs, Ghost of Tsushima on PC, Jason Voorhees coming back in multiple ways, and your favorite underutilized and too-often-ignored game features. Question of the Week: Have you ever bought a game physically that you wished you had bought digitally (or vice versa)? Break song is Voices in My Head by Denis Leary. Vidjagame Apocalypse theme by Matthew Joseph Payne.
Join your hosts Katherine and Shelbi in making space to discuss friendship breakups and coming to terms with long-standing friendships that don't serve you.Friendship Breakups and, Dare We Say, DivorcesPlatonic relationships can be just as intense to navigate as romantic onesTwo things can be true at once, with friendship breakups being devastating but also freeing you from a relationship that doesn't serve youSometimes a silent line is drawn in the sand to close a friendship, particularly when your personal capacity changes and you don't feel you're being supportedDebating the “chop”, a direct communication that someone is out of your life, versus recognizing apparent signs that the friendship is overTrusting Your Gut vs. Making Room for EvolutionIt's important to reconcile caring for someone and honoring your history together with holding yourself to a standard and demonstrating self respectFriendships are some of the longest standing relationships we'll have in our lives but we also have to assess when change is necessary (and when someone is capable of it)Loving, caring friends should be given grace, but not everyone deserves unconditional love and considerationLingering at a StandstillQuestioning if someone should be in your life and where you go from here when something is off and hasn't been addressed or resolvedStandstills can feel heavily quiet, with lack of communication, gaslighting, and operating in separate realities and on different narrativesSome people may take the easier way out if they hold more power in relation to societal norms, which can result in them not making an effort to try to repair it and not showing up authentically (even if this isn't indicative of how they feel)It can be hard to balance addressing a situation and letting people off the hook because you have bigger fish to fry, but this leaves people open to access your life through social media without interacting with you and for grievances to add upQuestion of the Week:Have you ever gone through a friendship breakup or standstill? What tools and language did you feel you had or didn't have to help you navigate, and how did this impact you and your friend? We'd love to hear your thoughts. Sonia T. felt like she was in a swirl for a little bit this last week. She decided to do some grounding practices and, what do you know, it made her feel better. We can be so resistant to a little bit of self-care, but it really does make us feel better. Similar to brushing your teeth, a little bit of energy maintenance can go a long way toward keeping you fresh and spiritually healthy. This week's theme is about: How to intuitively tap into and learn from your oracles. Highlights: The power of walking is a great grounding tool. [1:45] So many people simply are not present in their outside world. [5:35] What are some of the benefits of an oracle? [10:45] Sonia C.'s ‘Ask Your Guides' deck saved a woman from deception! [13:45] Don't be scared about exploring and learning from your oracles! [20:25] Pro tips for keeping your deck's energy clean. [23:30] What's a good beginning deck for kids and the family to use? [32:00] Are you interested in getting a reading? The link is in the show notes! [35:45] Tool of the week. [38:40] Question of the week. [39:35] While Sonia C. was on vacation, she wasn't able to maintain her daily routine. Now that she is back in London, she is making a commitment to walk outside daily. As she's embarked on this journey, you really take for granted how much that can affect your overall health and well-being. Walking, for sure, is a great grounding tool for your spirit. Movement is just good for your spirit! When Sonia C. was first learning how to be intuitive, one of her exercises was to pay attention to every little thing you hear for three blocks. In the next three blocks, you then pay attention to everything you smell, and in the final three blocks, focus and pay attention to every little thing you see. This is a great exercise to help you focus and ‘read in between' the lines. Focus on the details and you'll be able to see the subtle messages the spirit world is sending you. Tool of the Week: Have fun with your oracles! Question of the Week: How do I reduce the influence of technology on the family? Rebecca Leppard is the founder of Upgrading Women and is on a mission: No Woman Left Behind. After facing adversity, poverty, and judgment as a person of color recently relocated to the UK from her homeland of Indonesia, she became determined to speak up against all of the biases she faced. Unfortunately, when she moved (during the pandemic) she was only able to enter the country with a visitor visa which prevented her from employment and even volunteering. Rebecca did not let her crisis go to waste and used it for growth. In addition to being an author and speaker, she teaches women of minority how to present themselves better, how to be assertive, and to speak their opinions so all ideas are out on the table and given an opportunity to positively impact the world. Learn more about Rebecca here: https://www.rebeccaleppard.com/ Guest Bio: Rebecca Leppard is an author, speaker, and strategist. She loves connecting with diverse groups of people and engaging in meaningful conversations. Lately, she cannot shut up about closing the equity gap, detoxifying the workplace, influencing social justice, and promoting happy living. After being financially hit due to the pandemic, Rebecca founded a social enterprise called Upgrading Women. Upgrading Women is a learning and development hub for executives who face adversity because of their gender, race, and class. ___________________ Subscribe to this podcast and download your favorite episodes to listen to later: AppleSpotify RSS Feed ___________________ ⚕️ Are you a woman healthcare professional who is struggling to juggle everything in your personal and professional life?

Usually, people only think of the first three levels of growth, but the goal ought to be level 4 and level 5. - Dave FergusonIn order to get to level 4 or 5, you have to reproduce micro before macro. Make disciples inside the church before you can recruit disciples outside of the church. - Dave FergusonOverseas churches are rapidly reproducing disciples. Part of the reason we don't see that same growth in the United States is that we can't figure out how to multiply disciples. - Dave FergusonIndia and Africa are growing the fastest because they are planting the gospel and making disciples, not worrying about the logistics of the church. There it is less about the production and more about the relationship. - Dave FergusonWhen Dave gets it right, the practice he does to stay focused is his RPMs through Journaling: Read, Prayer, and Meditation.Prayer doesn't always need to start with talking, but with silence and meditation.
