Send us a textEpisode 514"FROM"Actor: Simon Webster (Ethan Matthews)First I want to say that Simon is an amazing young man. He's immensely talented, personable, kind all at such a young age is remarkable. He's a really good kid.Simon and I talk "FROM", his character Ethan Matthews, If he is indeed the Man in the Yellow Suit, Ethan seems to get a bit of hate from fans, his thoughts on the season finale, potentially being the man in the Matthews house, how Ethan is going to react in Season 4 to what happened to Jim, teh fact that Ethan has been through alot. The death of his father Jim, the loss of Thomas, Sara trying to murder him. I also ask him if playing Ethan is hard as Ethan always looks like he is emotionally hurting and upset. We talk about the challenges of growing up and getting older while filming and so much more.Simon Webster is best known for playing the series regular role of 'Ethan Matthews' in the hit MGM+ series FROM.He began his acting career at six years old when he recurred as the young orphan 'Fred' in nine episodes of Hallmark Channel's WHEN HOPE CALLS, the spin-off of WHEN CALLS THE HEART.Since then, he has appeared in a number of series including Quibi's MOST DANGEROUS GAME, National Geographic's anthology drama THE HOT ZONE, and SyFy's CHUCKY.In addition to his work on-camera, Simon is a highly experienced voice actor and voices the roles of 'Pickles' in Disney Junior's SUPERKITTIES, 'Alex' in Spin Master's PAW PATROL, and the title role in 80 short episodes Cartoon Network's LUCAS THE SPIDER.Welcome the awesome, Simon Webster.#from #fromtvshow #fromtvseries #fromseries #fromseason3 #fromseason2 #fromly #mgmplus #horror Reach out to Darek Thomas and Monday Morning Critic!Instagram: / mondaymorningcritic Facebook: / mondaymorningcritic TikTok: / mondaymorningcritic Mondaymorningcritic@gmail.comwww.mmcpodcast.com

One of the most famous friendships in all of comics, Spider-Man and Daredevil have their first team-up in their long careers in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man #16. Their brotherhood is first defined here, where Matt and Peter meet and face off against the Ringmaster, an odd turn considering last issue of DD, DD faced off against another mind-controller. Nico and Tori fall for DD and Spidey falling for each other. Also, Daredevil's head appears twice in Amazing Spider-Man #18. So that comes up. Then – Early Daredevil is punctuated by unusual, and sometimes forgettable villains – Matador falls somewhere between. In an issue filled with strange appropriation, advances for the romance subplot, and more “is Daredevil a coward” nonsense, Daredevil #5 is a pinnacle 60s issue of the hornhead's adventures. There's crazy costumes, wild backstories, and more as Nico and Tori continue to understand the world of Murdock and Nelson and navigate their adventures in The Billy Club. Last – Daredevil enters his biggest adventure so far as Nico and Tori follow Daredevil into his first multi-villain challenge. Mr Fear calls together the Fellowship of Fear to take on the Man Without Fear, enlisting the help of Ox and Eel. The Yellow Suit makes its final original run appearance which leads the Billy Clubbers to consider the entirety of the Yellow Suit era and the changes the Red Suit bring to the title. Welcome to Multiverse News, Your source for Information about all your favorite fictional universes Superman Legacy Cast Gets a Little More Super According to reports, James Gunn's Superman Legacy continues to fill out it's cast with three new notable additions: Nathan Fillion will portray Green Lantern, Guy Gardner; Isabela Merced, most known for Dora and the Lost City of Gold is set to appear as Hawkgirl, and X-Men: First Class's Edi Gathegi joins the fray as Mister Terrific. That's a lot of super-powered folk for David Corenswet's burgeoning Supes to contend with! Oppenheimer truly dropped the bomb? Oppenheimer director Christopher Nolan confirmed that the soon-to-be-released film has zero CGI shots. Seems disturbing when you think the movie is about the atomic bomb, but Nolan wants scenes to feel seamless so he used old school movie magic with new technology for IMAX, using forced perspective to film the recreation of the Trinity test, the first-ever test explosion of a nuclear bomb in 1945. It's time to suit up, bub. Deadpool 3 actor, writer, and producer Ryan Reynolds broke the internet on Monday revealing a first look of Hugh Jackman's yellow, comics-accurate Wolverine suit on the set of the upcoming movie. The yellow Wolverine suit has been referred to and joked about for years in other X-Men-related movies, but it seems it will finally be donned by Wolvie himself. And in more Deadpool 3 news, Jennifer Garner is set to return to her role of Elektra after nearly 20 years. Trailer Park! Ahsoka Star Wars released a two-minute trailer for Ahsoka the Disney+ show starring Rosario Dawson that drops next month. It will start with a two episode premiere which is becoming a trend for Star Wars, with mostly positive reaction from fans. Blue Beetle DC dropped its final trailer for Blue Beetle, releasing in theaters on August 18. The trailer shows an extended look at the Scarab AI that selects Jaime Reyes as its host and shows us more of the film's villain. Bob Marley: One Love Secret Invasion star Kingsley Ben-Adir who plays Gravick will play Reggae icon Bob Marley in the biopic, One Love, coming to theaters on January 12, 2024. Napoleon The first trailer for Ridley Scott's next epic war film, Napoleon, has debuted. The film stars Joaquin Phoenix and Vanessa Kirby and has a theatrical release date of November 22. The Nun The ninth film in The Conjuring franchise, The Nun 2, has a new trailer to horrify audiences. The film is set to premiere on September 8. Bestselling graphic novel and webcomic creator Nathan Pyle will see his creations come to life on AppleTV+ with the debut of Strange Planet in August. Rick and Morty and Community co-creator Dan Harmon serves as executive producer for the 10 episode adult animated series. Shang-Chi star Simu Liu confirmed on Meta's new Twitter competitor Threads that the highly-anticipated sequel to Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has been delayed saying, “Was told it would follow Avengers, but that keeps pushing back due to circumstances beyond my control.” It was another disappointing week in the box office, with Insidious the Red Door opening to a $32.7 million dollar domestic box office, taking the top spot away from Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, which only brought in $26.5 million domestically in its second weekend. The faith-based movie about child sex trafficking, The Sound of Freedom, made headlines after earning $40 million in its first week of release and placing 3rd at the domestic box office, despite high profile, big budget competition, and controversy surrounding statements from its lead Jim Caviezel. A deleted scene confirming the High Evoluationary's fate was released, showing that the widely-hated villain is indeed alive if not 100% well. This is a different ending than most of Marvel's villains receive.

We are back with another tangent-filled episode, and we have a special guest; KC's best friend Shandel! This week, you all voted and we watched the time-period romantic movie "TUCK EVERLASTING" based upon the book of the same name. The story follows a young woman named Winnifred "Winnie" Foster who is on the cusp of woman-hood and, on a walk through the forest, she encounters a handsome and mysterious young man named Jesse and his intense older brother Miles. And just like that, Winnie is kidnapped and finds herself living with a family of immortals with a slower, more deliberate way of living than Winnie has grown accustomed. As Winnie's parents grow worried for Winnie the longer she is missing, they hire a Man in a Yellow Suit, played by Sir Ben Kingsley, to track her down, but this guy has plans of his own when he discovers who she is with. Lots of intrigue and mystery and beautiful forest settings fill up this 90-minute breeze of a movie. There are definitely some problematic things that occur for us to talk about and we even get to talking about "Cruella" and Twilight and so much more. Hope you enjoy! Be sure to vote for what we watch next week: MISTER MAGOO - Comedic actor, Leslie Nielsen, stars in this comedy about a nearly-blind, eccentric old man named Mister Magoo as he is witness to a crime, whether he knows it or not. MY FAVORITE MARTIAN - Starring Christopher Lloyd as a martian who lands on earth and must go into hiding at a schlubby broadcast news assistant played by Jeff Daniels, the Dumb half of "Dumb and Dumber." Winnie realizes that if she drinks from the spring water, she will stay 11-years-old forever. The family is being chased by The Man in the Yellow Suit who knows about the secret spring water and wants to sell it as a cure-all. He is willing to kidnap Winnie to get the land which sets off a string of events that forces Winnie to make a huge decision about her life. We've had him running into the premiere almost every year, we didn't have him running in this year, but we have him running in the hundredth episode." Dinah Laurel Lance - Full-naming your fiancee while doing cutesy talk isn't entirely unheard-of, but here it's a nice little reminder that, yes, Laurel is actually Dinah Lance from the comics, the longtime Justice League and Birds of Prey member known as the Black Canary. Laurel's necklace is the Black Canary logo from the comics Oliver and Company - The reference, in case you missed it the first hundred times we used it or when Cisco explained it this week, is to a Disney animated film from the '80s. It was a musical comedy about a group of streetwise dogs who take in a small, orange cat, in which the soundtrack was primarily driven by Billy Joel, whose biggest fan is probably Arrow EP Marc Guggenheim. Per Guggenheim, he made the Oliver and Company joke in the script, but it was actor Carlos Valdes who added the Billy Joel nod. The Hozen - In the pilot, Oliver gave Thea a Hōzen (宝箭) -- an arrowhead-shaped stone he found around the neck of a dead Japanese soldier on Lian Yu. In the pilot, he told her -- as she tells him this week -- that in Japanese Buddhism, the hōzen symbolizes reconnecting. Palmer's Buyout Offer - The Palmer Technologies buyout of Queen Consolidated came in season 3 of the TV show, but apparently here, Palmer was hovering around Queen as soon as he heard Robert Queen was thinking of stepping down. Van Horn Industries - Van Horn Industries is the name of a company owned by the family of Andrew Van Horn, a superhero known as Gunfire. Gunfire was created during the Bloodlines attack, a '90s attempt to create a bunch of new superheroes by giving them a common starting point: an alien invasion where some of the victims of parasitic, cannibalistic aliens survived and gained powers. Hood Sketch - Along with Diggle under the hood, we get a look at the original Hood sketch and newspaper clippings that made up part of the Starling City Police Department's Rip Hunter-style chalkboard looking for the Arrow in season 1. MY NAME IS OLIVER QUEEN - When Oliver starts to introduce himself, he goes with "My name is Oliver Queen," just like he does in the voice over at the start of nearly every episode. Felicity hilariously cuts him off with "everyone knows who you are." Which serves the story -- he's a famous, wealthy socialite -- and the meta-text of the episode. CHICAGO MED - That roundabout thing about how Tommy is a doctor in Chicago now, and he just couldn't break away from his long shifts to come visit for the wedding? That's a whole lot of meta, talking about actor Colin Donnell, who played Tommy in season 1 and has periodically come back in flashbacks and other such stories. Donnell couldn't come for the hundredth episode because he's now a regular on Chicago Med, which is in production and couldn't spare him. THE PATH NOT TAKEN - This story seem familiar? Like last year's Supergirl episode "For the Girl Who Has Everything," or the "Flashpoint" episode of The Flash? What about "Perchance to Dream" from Batman: The Animated Series? THE FERN - It came back! One of the things that I'm learning now as someone that has a big responsibility at the head of a television show and has some business interests and is a husband and a father– priorities not being in that order — I don't want to stretch myself too thin, and I wouldn't want to do something if I couldn't put my heart and soul into it.” Link:http://www.cbr.com/stephen-amell-has-been-in-contact-with-american-ninja-warrior/?utm_source=CBR-TW&utm_medium=Social-Distribution&utm_campaign=CBR-TW&view=list ARROW & PROMETHEUS HAVE AN EXPLOSIVE CONFRONTATION IN NEW PHOTOS (Date: 23 Nov 2016) Team “Arrow” is in deep trouble. Guggenheim admits to having some regrets: “The truth is, I don't think I've ever been involved with an hour of television on any show where there hasn't been something I wanted to take back,” he says. “Doing 23 episodes a year, you're just constantly running, so nothing ever turns out exactly the way you want it to. In other words, my list of regrets is actually incredibly long; it's 100 episodes long. I'd say probably my biggest regret is I wish we had allowed the Oliver-Felicity storyline in season 4 to unfold at a more natural pace. We had set these tentpoles at the beginning of the season, and we were a bit too rigorous on how we hit them. That was a case where the planning overtook the storytelling. We didn't do things as naturally and as elegantly as we should have.” Link:http://www.ew.com/article/2016/11/29/arrow-100-episode-spoilers ‘Arrow' EP Marc Guggenheim On Tonight's 100th Episode, CW's Mega-Crossover & What's Next (Date: 30 Nov 2016) Reflecting on Arrow's future and past, as well as the labyrinth and rewards of the multi-show saga, Guggenheim spoke with Deadline about how “Invasion” came together as a crossover and a stand-alone episode of the Vancouver-filmed show. The EP, who developed the show with Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, also hinted at where things could go next for the archer and his team as Arrow heads towards next week's Season 5 winter finale, who we may see more of from the show's past, and what the next crossover could be like. The episode drew in 86% more viewers ages 18-49 than it did on November 16. The episode was a tenth down from last year's superhero crossover special, but its viewership was still impressive. More than 3.52 million people watched the episode. In the interview, when asked about Lillian's means justifying the end, she said, “That is such a great moral question. Everybody could ask themselves that and come up with a whole slew of different answers. It just goes back to the question of, when is it right to do the wrong thing? That opens up a whole can of worms about good and evil, black and white. Where's the gray? Ultimately, she isn't crazy, but she's definitely committed to the end. It does justify the means for her. Obviously, she's been willing to sacrifice any kind of personal relationships with this single-minded focus. There are costs for this character to achieve her commitment.” Link:http://www.cbr.com/brenda-strong-talks-supergirl/ SUPERGIRL: MEHCAD BROOKS COMPARES JAMES OLSEN'S GUARDIAN TO BATMAN (Date: 28 Nov 2016) During a recent set visit, Brooks told CBR and other reporters that James' CatCo position has made him more like the Dark Knight. “I kind of liken it to Bruce Wayne, running an enterprise during the day and then at night putting on the sleek black suit and your costume,” he explained. “James in the DC Universe has seen examples of it before, right? He's never had to do it himself. Yeah, I think he was ready for both of those responsibilities anyway, so now he's handling it well, but at first not so much.” He also discusses the suit, why James is reluctant to tell Kara, and why he thinks Superman would approve. The episode, titled “Medusa,” scored a solid 1.1 rating in the core 18-49 demographic, and was watched by 3.51 million viewers in total. That an uptick from last week's episode of Supergirl that puts the ratings for “Medusa” on par with the second season premiere of Supergirl. The phase-shifting Kitty Pryde at long-last will become an X-Men team leader, whose squad includes Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Old Man Logan, and Rachel Grey. “Kitty is the right person to bring the X-Men into the future, to herald in the next era of the X-Men,” Guggenheim told us in a phone interview. “We are post the war with the Inhumans. The X-Men are sort of at a crossroads. They're at a point where they are trying to decide, is there a future for the X-Men? We have our MBS co-host and Pop-Break.com's Flash correspondent, Nando bring on fellow Flash fan's and past guests Kevin Lourenco and Emily Hromada to give some of their crazy Flash theories. Emily wonders about Firestorm's introduction. Kevin thinks a main character is going to die soon. This week: San Francisco checks in with a great interview. Bad at Sports contributors Brian Andrews and Patricia Maloney sat down with artist Takeshi Murata and sound designer Robert Beatty on November 9, 2013, at Ratio 3, in San Francisco, to discuss Murata’s most recent digitally animated video, OM Rider (2013). OM Rider follows two animated creatures: a wizened old man that Andrews describes as “half the Curious George Man in the Yellow Suit, half like the butler from Rocky Horror Picture Show,” and a hipster wolf, which rides a moped through a barren landscape and performs other aimless tasks. The video begins with the creature playing a synthesizer that gives the video its title. Om Rider contains Murata’s characteristic absurd humor and aesthetic, which mixes highly attuned lighting and composition with more retro modeling and minimalist, almost antiseptic spaces. Takeshi Murata was born in 1974 in Chicago. In 1997, he graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design, where he studied film, video, and animation. He currently lives and works in Saugerties, New York. Murata has exhibited at the New Museum, New York; the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin, Italy; Sikemma Jenkins & Co., New York; Gladstone Gallery, New York; and Salon 94, New York. Murata’s work is featured in the collections of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington DC; DESTE Foundation for Contemporary Art, Athens; and The Smithsonian Museum of American Art. FYI, AP will post an excerpted text version of this interview on Dec. 3, and the link for that conversation should be: http://www.artpractical.com/column/interview-with-takeshi-murata/ And here is a related review Brian wrote for his previous show: http://www.artpractical.com/review/get_your_ass_to_mars_andrews/
