The recent inclusion of risk management into sports and recreation clubs can be challenging for organisations to manage. Founder of Safeguarding You, Adam Wood, created a platform where what once was daunting, is now made much easier. The program provides users with a simple assessment to understand their risks, then actionable advice is delivered to lower the risk percentage. Wood has been heavily involved with his own children's sporting clubs, and understands the difficulty in navigating the need to report and adapt to issues that arise. An area of great interest currently is concussion within the AFL, particularly exploring the trend of under-reporting, and the risks associated with trying to get back on the field. Safeguarding You is constantly evolving, creating new technology to allow teams and groups to monitor what they've done in the past, and prepare for their future.
We recorded this a couple weeks ago in Jerami Baileys trailer in anticipation of Dewey being out for a Tail of the Dragon trip and its a fun one. We chat with Jerami Bailey about old times and trying to be competitive in Club TR with a Subaru powered car. There is a TON of good info in here for anyone looking to swap an FA24 into a 1st Gen BRZ too! Then we chat with Adam Wood, the driver of a GC in GLTC. All the torque, none of the HP, and a pile of tire! This might be one of my favorite cars I've ever driven on track. Unfortunately after recording this his weekend was ended early. WE bring him back on for an update on that and the plans for the future. 2 great chats, 1 episode, all WIN!!

NICU dad and author Adam Wood shares his NICU story of his son's delivery at just 25 weeks, the feelings of guilt and failure he felt in not being able to protect his wife and child, and how he's bringing NICU parents together with his book, Our Preemie Adventure.
Adam Wood is a veteran, author, and most importantly a father and husband. His son Brady was born at 25 weeks old and learned very abruptly how difficult it is to be a parent to a preemie baby. Through his experience, Adam decided to do something to help future parents of premature infants and wrote his first book, Our Preemie Adventure. He has since written several more books and is actively engaged in trying to help families overcome the challenges of the premature birth and the NICU. Adam shares his story in this episode and provides incredible perspective for parents.
