What do you really want out of love, relationships, sex, intimacy, & connection? Far too often we neglect asking ourselves these questions and instead fall in line with standard norms and expectations. There's no right or wrong way to be in union with others. International Best-Selling Author, Intuitive and Conscious Relationship Coach, Carrie Jeroslow, joins me on the show this week to delve into the vast possibilities that exist to experience relationships. In her work, Carrie teaches people the tools to relate consciously to themselves and others. In this episode Ariel is joined by transformation coach Vipoola Devani to talk about her story and the power of self-awareness. KEY TAKEAWAYS I had lived my life to a certain point dictated by societal norms, family expectations, cultural norms. By lineage I'm Indian, so I had a lot of traditional cultural upbringing and I followed the path because that was what was expected of me and I didn't know any better. I thought that was normal, I got married, I did what was expected of me as a daughter-in-law, a wife, a daughter but something never felt right, I never fitted in, I felt there was something more than this. After about 25 years of marriage, I started getting that pull even stronger and I started searching and stumbled upon various spiritual modalities and business ventures. Finally, I went to an event that was the ‘A-he moment' for me. It boiled down to the fact that I was responsible for my life, I had created it, and that everything outside that I was experiencing was a result of my own internal mindset and my own environment that I had created. It was a tough reckoning because it's easier to blame everything else than blame yourself. Self-awareness is: What is it that I want, or what is it that would make my relationships better outside, but once I'm happier within myself, once I have the joy within myself, and a purpose within myself, it starts translating in my environment around me and my connections with everything else. The greatest shifts I've seen from my clients is the awareness of something bigger than themselves, the experience of being part of something that is more than just “me”, as a human, and that everything around me is here to give me another experience. Not all experiences are pleasant or something we'd naturally want or gravitate towards, some experiences are horrendous. But it is an experience, and you regard it as such so you can leave it behind and move on to the next one. We are blessed to be humans and the gift of life is not to be shunned. BEST MOMENTS“I value honesty and integrity highly, not just from work and career, it also translates into personal life.”“It fundamentally started with getting to know yourself and then deciding what works for you. The resolution I chose is not the answer for everybody.”“The client has to put the work in. I'm facilitating their development, I'm not doing it for them, I'm just showing the way.”“Being accountable to yourself is also part of loving yourself and your commitment to yourself.” ABOUT THE GUESTVipoola Devani is a Conscious Relationship Coach and Spiritual Practitioner. In this episode Carrie shares her experience and wisdom on the benefit of being your most authentic self in your relationship with yourself and loved ones. Way too often most of us don't speak up about what we truly want, need and desire in our relationships and half the time we don't even know what we want. Life is too short to live in fear of speaking up and being our true authentic selves. “Every relationship is as unique as you are.” About Carrie: International Best-Selling Author, Intuitive and Conscious Relationship Coach, Carrie Jeroslow, teaches people the tools to relate consciously to themselves and others. How do we create a conscious relationship? How do we focus on ourselves and our subconscious mind when picking a persona person to date? Do you know how our subconscious mind affects your dating and your relationships? Are you a people pleaser? This is just the beginning of the conversation I'll have with my guest, Jessica Hendricks, who is a Conscious Relationship Coach on this show. We hope that you will join us.
Jess Hendrick and I spend time talking about conscious relationships. What is a conscious relationship? How does our relationship with ourself set the tone for every other relationship we are in? How does the perspective of “I need x, y, z to be happy” affect your relationships? How do you rewire your beliefs to decide how you can make yourself happy? How can you source your own happiness and own peace? How do I show up in a space of conscious relating? What do you do when you start noticing unhealthy things in your relationship? How do you stop turning a blind eye to what the person you are dating is actually showing you? How does the person dating you mirror all your beliefs back to you? How do you overcome the dark night of the soul of a breakup to find a more inspiring way of relating? How do you not make someone wrong from the place of conscious relating? How do you start to recognize red-flags? What is the value of subconscious reprogramming? What's the value of working with a coach? How can your internal thoughts and stories that exist in your mind give you insight into your beliefs? How does sitting with the discomfort of dating give you the practice to give yourself whatever you need? How can you shift your perspective from the branches of the tree to the roots?
