After 14-year-old Danielle goes missing from a party in September 2001, investigators treat her case as just a runaway, but as more information came to light, they began to unravel an intricate web of lies and abuse.       Danielle Bell was last seen in Cantonment, Florida, on September 28, 2001. She is white with light brown hair and blue eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was 5'4 and weighed approximately 120lbs. Danielle does have a scar on her right forearm. She may go by her nickname, Dani. Her ears are pierced, and her navel may be pierced. She has a small, homemade tattoo of a purple Playboy bunny on her pelvic region.   She was last seen wearing a sky-blue halter top with glitter in the fabric, a blue Tommy Hilfiger jacket, black pants, black dress shoes with a medium heel, a dolphin-shaped ring, a heart-shaped ring, a silver neck chain, diamond earrings, a gold ring set with an emerald and two diamonds, and a gold ring set with a ruby and a garnet. The verdict was reached after a four-day trial, with the jury deliberating for about a day and a half. Lopez's sentencing is scheduled for May 8. The investigation began in April 2023 after a woman reported that her niece was being molested by a family member. Testimony from 11 witnesses, including law enforcement officers and experts, was presented during the trial. Assistant District Attorney Meaghan Frankish prosecuted the case. STORY 2: Chief Magistrate Judge Candidates Meet Cherokee County Voters Candidates for Cherokee County chief magistrate judge, Greg Douds and Jack “Trey” Goodwin III, both Republicans, made their case to voters at a forum hosted by the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce and Cherokee County Farm Bureau. Douds, a full-time associate magistrate with 16 years of experience, emphasized his preparedness and budgeting skills, having worked closely with retiring Chief Magistrate James E. Drane III. Goodwin, a family attorney and part-time associate magistrate for eight years, highlighted his experience and commitment to filling vacant positions with qualified individuals. Both candidates addressed issues such as reducing eviction case backlogs and access to legal representation, with Douds emphasizing efficient case management and Goodwin underscoring the magistrate court's role as "the people's court." STORY 3: Public Input Meetings Set for Cherokee County Greenways and Trails Master Plan Cherokee County is inviting residents to participate in planning for a master plan for trails and greenways across the county through public input sessions in May. Two in-person open houses are scheduled for May 9 and May 14, with a virtual meeting on May 16 for those unable to attend in person. The goal is to establish a comprehensive approach to identifying potential trail locations, prioritizing connections, and allocating funding for new projects. In District 21, Rep. Brad Thomas and challenger Gregg Kirkpatrick spoke on issues like taxes and election integrity. District 22 saw incumbent Rep. Jordan Ridley and challenger Paul Kettering address concerns such as illegal immigration and property taxes. Danielle Bell, running for District 44, emphasized community advocacy and women's health. Nicole Danielle Bell's life was turn upside down when in 2017, her husband received a devastating diagnosis - Lyme disease. His health declined, and Nicole went from engineer to caregiver. Doctor after doctor, she was unsatisfied with their answers, so she set out to find them on her own. Nicole decided to document the process to help others. Her book, What Lurks in the Woods, launches October 23rd and serves as a memoir of her journey to discover the root cause of her husband's illness. She hopes that the more people read and hear about Chronic Lyme and why finding the root of the problem is essential.Tune in to hear Nicole and Russ's journey, the ways she has fought and dug for answers, and all about her upcoming book launch!

Danielle is a graduate of The University of Michigan (B.A.) and Marygrove College (Masters of Education). She also has a Certification in Hospitality and Tourism from Florida Atlanta University. This experience was one of many that planted the seeds of international travel and wanting to share this expertise with others. Danielle has an extensive background in the health and human services field (her full time job) with a focus on assisting families around eligibility for public assistance programs and resources. Danielle has traveled to five continents and eighteen countries. Along with friends, she initially began her travels within Canada and the United States. The death of both Danielle’s father and grandfather impacted her to such an extent that she decided that she did not want to live a life that was not full and required some exploration and risk taking. As a result, Danielle planned her first big trip to Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This was a daunting experience in that once she was on the plane, she panicked and asked herself, “what in the world am I doing?” The full weight of going to a country by herself with customs that were drastically different than anything she knew about. She took a deep breath, and relaxed into her knew found freedom. Of the 18 countries that she has visited, South Africa is Danielle’s favorite. Danielle has started a travel business called Ms. International Lux Travel Group. She curates every aspect of customers’ trips, and provides them with valuable information on travel safety and ways in which to save money. Although solo travel is Danielle’s preferred mode of travel, she also organizes group excursions, as well. For her future professional and personal growth, Danielle would love to develop her skills in financial planning and investments with the ultimate plan of helping others to grow in theses areas. We aren’t better than anyone else. Wherever you go, whatever success you reach, stay humble, and remember to bring a positive impact to others' lives. The last six months of Danielle have been her happiest as she feels she’s serving her purpose. Coping with the COVID-19 outbreak has been very challenging, not just to the businesses, but to every single one of us. In September of 2001, 14-year-old Danielle Bell was living with her mom in Pensacola, Florida. Her parents had recently divorced and it was a difficult time for Danielle. On the evening of Friday, September 28, 2001, Danielle left to go to a party even though her mother had instructed her to stay home. She was seen at a high school party that evening by some of her friends. Later, she was seen at a different party with much older men. After that, no one has ever seen or heard from Danielle again. Om Afghanistan, det land som så många av Europas - och Sveriges - flyktingar lämnat bakom sig. Vad är det de flyr från, varför drabbas civila så hårt och när ska afghaner kunna känna framtidshopp i sitt hemland? Hör röster från Kabul, Jalalabad och Smålandsstenar om ett krig som ändrat karaktär. Dagens Konflikt handlar om det våldsamma och på många sätt väldigt oförutsägbara läget i Afghanistan. Sedan de flesta utländska trupperna lämnade landet förra året har striderna mellan regeringstrupper och motståndsgrupper, framför allt talibanerna, bara fortsatt. Maktkampen har ändrat karaktär och drabbar civilbefolkningen ännu mer än tidigare. Samtidigt som vi hör mindre om Afghanistan i den dagliga nyhetsrapporteringen så har kriget på flera sätt blivit värre för vanliga afghaner. Det märker vi också av här i Europa och utmed EU:s gränser, afghaner utgör den näst största gruppen asylsökande, bara från Syrien kommer det fler. En av de över 7000 afghaner som kommit till Sverige i år är Baratali Sharifi - veterinär och biståndsarbetare från Heratprovinsen som Ekots Alexandra Svedberg träffade på ett flyktingboende i Smålandsstenar. Efter att talibanerna avsattes 2001 fick folket hopp, säger han, men nu blir talibanerna starkare igen. Inför dagens program har Konflikt ringt en hel del samtal till Kabul och andra delar av Afghanistan, som Jalalabad och Taloqan. Chefen för FN:s människorättsavdelning i Afghanistan, Danielle Bell, säger till Konflikts Anja Sahlberg att kriget har ändrat karaktär sedan de flesta utländska trupperna lämnade landet 2014 och att civila idag drabbas i allt högre utsträckning. Kate Clark på den oberoende tankesmedjan Afghanistan Analysts Network ger också sin analys av läget i landet. För Sveriges Radios del hänger tystnaden från Afghanistan ihop med att vår främsta förmedlare av röster därifrån, Nils Horner, mördades i Kabul i mars 2014. I våras deltog hon i förberedande fredsamtal med talibanerna i Oslo. Men vad vill talibanerna, som satt på andra sidan om förhandlingsbordet när Shukria Barakzai var i Oslo? Konflikts Gilda Hamidi-Nia ringde upp journalisten och talibankännaren Graeme Smith, som skrivit flera böcker om sina möten med talibanerna och som i dag jobbar som analytiker i Kabul för organisationen International Crisis group.
