Join America's Roundtable (https://americasrt.com/) radio co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy with Kathie Lee Gifford — the four-time Emmy award winning former co-host of the fourth hour of “TODAY,” alongside Hoda Kotb. After 11 years together, Kathie Lee stepped down from that role in 2019 to pursue other creative endeavors. The Gifford-Kotb hour had been hailed as “appointment television” by Entertainment Weekly, and “TODAY's happy hour” by USA Today. Prior to NBC News, Gifford served as the co-host of “Live with Regis and Kathie Lee” for 15 years. In 2015 Gifford was inducted into the Broadcast & Cable Hall of Fame. She was recently awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. A playwright, producer, singer, songwriter and actress, Kathie Lee has starred in numerous television programs and movies in her 45-year career. She has written several musicals including Broadway's SCANDALOUS, which received a Tony nomination for Best Actress in 2012. In the fall of 2018 she wrapped post production on “Then Came You,” a film she has written, produced and starred in alongside Craig Ferguson. Gifford co-wrote the score for the film with Brett James. “Then Came You” was released in October of 2020. In April of 2019 she made her directorial debut with THE GOD WHO SEES oratorio, shot in Israel and based on a song she co-wrote with Grammy-nominated Nicole C. Mullen. She has authored numerous books, including her most recent book, "The God of the Way", and five New York Times bestselling books, including "The Rock, the Road, and the Rabbi" and "It's Never Too Late". Herod and Mary Ancient Evil, Living Hope Unveil the Truth Behind King Herod and Mary — Explore Their Lives Like Never Before with The First Book in This Eye-Opening Series! Behind the well-known names of Mary and Herod lies a story untold, until now. Kathie Lee Gifford's latest book ventures beyond the surface, exploring the intricate dynamics of their lives against the backdrop of ancient societal forces. The first installment in the Ancient Evil, Living Hope series, Herod and Mary begins with the tragic life of King Herod — Christianity's first true persecutor. As an impressionable boy, he is forever marked by the raw power of Rome. Throughout the course of Herod's career, he gains power, fame, and riches beyond belief. Yet murderous intrigues stalk this man — and infect his own dark soul. But, Mary saw the struggle of her people under a tyrant. Like all Jewish women, she knew the promises of Torah and longed for a deliverer. But no one could have prepared her for what the angel of God revealed: that the Messiah wouldn't arrive with the blaring of trumpets, the clash of arms, or the fanfare of a mighty host. He would arrive as an infant within her own womb. The light of the world was born in a cave: not a king who maims and destroys, but the gentle King of the Jews. Prepare to have your views on these historical figures forever changed… Through meticulously researched narrative and a fresh perspective, this book sheds light on the complex relationship between Mary and Herod. It combines historical accuracy with compelling storytelling, offering readers a unique opportunity to experience the biblical world from an insider's perspective. This riveting narrative nonfiction work reveals deep insight to how Herod came to power, how corruption and an ancient evil threatened the stability of a nation, and how a teenage Mary was called to traverse these obstacles to bring the Savior, Jesus, our living hope, into the world. On episode 132 of The AwardsWatch Podcast, Executive Editor Ryan McQuade is joined by AwardsWatch contributors Nicole Ackman, Dan Bayer and Kevin L. Lee to talk about the latest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Daytime Emmy Nominations, previewing Tony Nominations and playing a new game. Starting off this week's show are our listener questions, which consist of asking everyone if there is a 2023 Oscar nomination the panel is willing to lock in right now based on the films released in theaters. They then break down if there are any other films like Avatar: The Way of Water and Top Gun: Maverick that they would love to see get a long awaited sequel for. And speaking of Top Gun: Maverick, they also discuss which directors they would love to see the film's star Tom Cruise work with in order to get out of his action movie phase of his career and go back to his most dramatic focused work that made him a star. Moving right along, the group then break down the recently announced Daytime Emmy Nominations, and then dive into a Tony Nomination preview, with those nominations set to announce on Monday, May 9, 2022. This discussion was very insightful, and for more coverage of both these topics, we encourage you to take a look at Erik's Daytime Emmy Nomination article as well as Dan's two articles covering the Tony Awards (Musical & Plays) from last week. Finishing out the episode is a brief conversation on the Avatar: The Way of Water trailer, which is being shown exclusively in theaters right now in front of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. And speaking of Doctor Strange, the gang then give their full thoughts on the first blockbuster of the summer, going into extensive details as to why it works on some levels and doesn't on others. It is a SPOILER FILLED review so if you haven't seen the film, skip over to the last segment of the show, where Ryan, Nicole, Dan and Kevin play a new game called AwardsWatch…or Not, where two films are pitted against one another and they must decide what they want to keep while the other film is lost forever. They played two rounds, covering films in the MCU and Non-MCU movies featuring members of the extensive cast of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. You can listen to The AwardsWatch Podcast wherever you stream podcasts, from iTunes, Soundcloud, Stitcher, Spotify and more. This podcast runs 2h16m, and it's an absolute blast. Let's get into it.

On today’s super-sized Daytime Confidential episode Luke, Jamey, Jillian and Regan react to Disney’s shocking decision to axe SOAPnet in favor of Disney Jr. What does this mean for the three ABC soaps and specifically One Life to Live? How will it impact Days of our Lives and The Young and the Restless now that a revenue stream is drying up? Jamey reveals what multiple industry insiders are telling him about the true state of soaps and how much time the genre really has. The DC gang then dives into all the 2010 Daytime Emmy Nominations and react to some of the–dare we say it–“shocking” omissions. Find out which actors they think did and didn’t deserve to be nominated and listen as they discuss the Outstanding Drama nominations. Then it is off to General Hospital’s Pentonville to discuss whether or not Michael (Chad Duell) was actually raped and where this controversial storyline is headed. With the Sopranos off the air it seems Guza must be rewatching the entire series of Oz, but does he know his audience? ABC told One Life to Live fans that the reason Kish was scrapped was because it didn’t appeal to Middle America. Does Guza think that prison rape does? Finally, Jamey has the latest on David Hasselhoff’s return to The Young and the Restless as Snapper and drops a juicy spoiler about how it will impact Jill (Jess Walton). Can you guess which Genoa City resident she’s related to? Find out in this episode of Daytime Confidential.
