This week's episode starts in the Hamptons, makes a pit stop on the campaign trail and ends in Capri. Of course, no one is surprised because we're all just having a Brat Girl summer. Wait…didn't we coin it ‘Rat Girl Summer?' We digress. Anyway, nothing says summer like Jill Zarin's Annual Luxury Luncheon in the Hamptons. Anna ventured out east with friend Chef Stuart to attend the summer soiree and gives the deets on what went down. Meanwhile Dre is living in her antique dealer era helping her parents list random heirlooms on eBay. A 1972 silver dollar is bidding for how much!? Plus the big Biden Drop-out news and what it means. Also the Emmy Noms are in and Anna and Dre decide what category ‘The Bear' should actually be considered. And fresh off her Capri Yachting adventure, Kris Jenner is on the show with her **almost** favorite daughter Kourtney to recap the Euro trip. Kourt is busy with her newest Lemme launch and Travis's tour schedule. Oh, and Kim's latest obsession: the Salmon Sperm Facial. You're gonna love it Dolls! See you back here same place next week Big Wigs. Catch up on big wig episodes on Youtube and follow Anna & Dre for more content.
It's the Inevitable Return of the Russo Brothers to Marvel, Shogun Leads the Emmy Nominations, Twisters Spins Up a Big Box Office, and Trailers Galore Across the Multiverse. All of that and more coming up on this edition of Multiverse News! Welcome to Multiverse News, Your source for Information about all your favorite fictional universes. Russo Brothers Save the Day? “Your saviors are here!” Yes it's true, the Russo Brothers are in talks to return to the MCU and direct both Avengers 5 and Avengers 6. The news is exciting, but not shocking, as the Russos directed many of the most well-received Infinity Saga films including the climactic Avengers: Endgame. We know the sixth Avengers film will be Secret Wars…what kind of heavy lifting to the Brothers Russo have to do to get us there? Shogun Shows Out It should come as no surprise to viewers of Shogun that the groundbreaking series depicting feudal Japan set an Emmy's record with 25 nominations. Likewise, The Bear set a comedy series record with 23 Emmy nominations - though there's lots of discourse about categorizing the show as a comedy. Only Murders in the Building, True Detective: Night Country, and The Crown, cap off the high number of nominations at 21, 19, and 18, respectively. We've had rich entertainment in the television industry with the advent of streaming. Will Shogun run away with the wins? Trailer Park It feels like the fall movie and television season is heating up! We're going to break down each of the following trailers that recently debuted. JOKER: FOLIE À DEUX BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE DUNE: PROPHECY FINAL DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE TRAILER Twisters Chases the Box Office Moviegoers felt it and chased it this weekend during the opening for Twisters. The standalone sequel to 1996's Twister swirled in the cash, beating expectations and making $80.5 million domestically and over $123 million globally. This pushes the film to the top opening for a disaster movie ever in the U.S., beating out 2004's The Day After Tomorrow and boasts the third highest opening weekend for a movie in 2024 behind Inside Out 2 and Dune Part 2. What do we think…do the twos have it?
Welcome to another episode of the Media Boat Podcast. We start with Sean Kingston getting into federal trouble with possible prison sentence. Next, Xbox looks to be in trouble with the FTC since it announced price hikes last week to Game Pass Ultimate. Later, Emmy noms are here and FX is dominating in drama with Shogun and comedy with The Bear. We wrap it all up with Apple cutting back on spending for films and looking to tighten its TV budgets. All this and more on this weeks episode of the Media Boat Podcast.

The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists has joined the Writers Guild of America on strike. It's the first SAG strike since 1980 (which strike was largely about the oncoming home video boom). And it's the first dual actors-writers strike since 1960 (when Ronald Reagan was president of SAG and the strike was mostly about residuals for movies licensed to television). Also: The Emmy nominations are out. And: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is the 32nd movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the second movie (of an expected seven) in the MCU's Phase Five. It is written and directed by James Gunn, who has written and directed all three Guardians of the Galaxy movies, and who was fired and rehired during preproduction of Vol. 3 in 2018.
