The most common issue for couples is a mismatch in desire. @DrGregandErin Although the definition isn’t the same for every couple, the experts define a sexless marriage as having intercourse fewer than ten times a year, which impacts about 15 to 20 percent of couples. @DrGregandErin Your sexual relationship can be resurrected. There is always hope. We serve an amazing God who is passionate about sex. Status quo in the bedroom doesn’t have to be your reality any longer. You can revitalize your sexual intimacy. @DrGregandErin You may feel angry or humiliated for being rejected sexually by your spouse. Maybe sex has always been absent in your marriage. Instead of punishing your spouse, reach out in tender compassion. But tender compassion will only happen if your heart is open. @DrGregandErin A lack of sexual initiation or responsiveness is usually a symptom of a deeper problem. NFL football player, speaker and leadership coach, Bo Eason joins JJ today to discuss the importance of having big dreams. He explains the difference between setting goals and declaring yourself, and why declarations are so much more powerful. Declarations are long term and inform every aspect of our lives. They’ll talk about how important creating a successful environment is, including surrounding ourselves with people with common ambitions. Bo and JJ discuss how setbacks are just part of the process, and how overcoming obstacles makes us even stronger. Freebies From Today’s Episode Download the first chapter of Bo’s book There’s No Plan B for Your A-Game by going to jjvirgin.com/bo Main Points From Today’s Episode To be successful, you need to make a declaration. A goal is short term but a declaration informs everything we do in our lives. One of the major components to this is creating an environment for success. You must surround yourself with people who are on the same page as you are. When you fall off track, you just have to do some course correcting. The important thing is to let go of any shame and stay focused on that declaration. Episode Play-By-Play [5:22] Bo discusses what inspired his determination to become the best NFL safety in the world. [7:28] Even though it’s very inspirational, there are listeners who may not want to become football players...How can you apply these lessons to yourself? [8:04] JJ shows how you can use Bo’s example and lessons to become the healthiest you. [8:40] Why the word declaration instead of goal? Bo explains the difference between a declaration and a goal. [10:54] If you live like a healthy, lean person, you will become that, over time. [11:05] Bo explains how he made his declaration at 9 years old. He wasn’t going to be the best safety at 9 years old, but he began living like he was. [11:50] Why you should get rid of your goals, and make a declaration instead. [12:20] One of the major components to this is creating an environment for success. You can’t lose weight if you are surrounded by people who don’t care about what is important to you. [13:40] Bo gives an example of one of his friends who is the 7th fastest recorded runner. Who do you think he hangs out with? [15:08] You get to decide if you want to be super healthy, or to stay mediocre and keep the body you have now. Once you make your declaration, watch the magic happen! [16:49] When you go off track, you just have to do some course correcting. [18:00] What we can learn from a plane’s automatic pilot mechanism [18:50] Bo explains why he loves obstacles. [20:55] How JJ’s friend Nicole overcame her body image issues [22:00] When you give yourself a big obstacle, one of the positive side effects is how much confidence and self worth you gain just from the daily process of overcoming challenges. [25:00] How instant gratification can hurt us [25:24] The big things that you look back on in your life are the things that took a lot of work. [25:50] To help you begin, Bo has a new book, There’s No Plan B for Your A-Game and he’s offering the first chapter free. Just go to jjvirgin.com/bo to download. Let’s paint a picture…A patient referral enters your practice with a failed implant or the beginnings of peri-implant disease. What do you do? Send them back to their original dentist? Start from scratch? How do you remedy the situation while finding ways for the patient to actively participate in their treatment? This podcast has the answer. Doctors Justin Moody, Frank Caputo, and Adam Kimowitz share some insightful and hilarious discussions about a groundbreaking procedure that Dr. Ali Afshar, has perfected in his practice. The best part? You can integrate his methods into your practice too. Listen in! The views expressed in this episode are those of the individual participants and not necessarily that of the AAID. He bootstrapped the company from $0-20k per month in less than 6 months! He attributes much of the growth of the company to various lead generation activities. Deepak’s passionate about not only implementing lead generation campaigns for clients but also empowering them by teaching them how to generate qualified leads. In this episode, Deepak shares how he takes care of lead generation needs so that your team can focus on what they do best and focus on scaling. Check out these episode highlights: 01:29 – Deepak's ideal client: My ideal client is a company that's got 2000 pounds plus to spend, has a developed sales team that can regularly, actually, close the leads that we bring in. 02:04 – Problem he helps solve: Getting actually quality leads that actually booked into their calendar for an appointment. 02:55 – Typical symptoms people experience when trying to solve that problem: No shows, number one, for an appointment. Number two is the company or the lead doesn't know what the actual business actually does. Number three is that the leaders is S-H-I-T, it's a freelancer or an outsourcer, or someone's trying to sell them something. Issue number four is the lag time between when a company says I'll deliver you need and then it takes three and a half weeks before a lead comes in. And the number four is very poor communication, in that, a lot of agencies have a lack of transparency as to how they actually generate leads, and that leads to a lack of trust. 03:24 – Common mistakes that people make when trying to solve that problem: Not having a funnel to put people into.. 04:59 – Deepak's Valuable Free Action(VFA): To improve the quality of leads, use LinkedIn Boolean Search within Sales Navigator.. 06:44 – Deepak's Valuable Free Resource(VFR):Visit Peal Lemon Leads' Website: https://pearllemonleads.com/ 07:38 – Q: "What's the one unique thing that you do, Deepak, those other agencies don't?" A: Use voice notes, and video. If I'm doing lead generation for myself, close a ton more, if I follow up with a voice note after automation say, 'Hey, Travis, what's up dude?' I just thought I'd pop you a little voice note on LinkedIn to say hello. Tweetable Takeaways from this Episode: “To improve the quality of leads, use LinkedIn Boolean Search within Sales Navigator.” -@deepakpshukla1Click To Tweet Info about our correspondent host:Travis has a background in sales, marketing, and strategy, and left the corporate world several years ago to start his own agency. [27:48] Why are so many successful people super healthy? [28:41] JJ’s challenges for you: (1) Make a declaration rather than a goal. (2) Give yourself realistic timelines. (3) Create a no-fail environment. “One of the reasons I got involved in dental implant education is that I didn’t want dentists to get discouraged that they would have failures early on in their implant career and then shy away from doing these procedures,” –Joseph Leonetti, DMD, FAAID, DABOI/ID, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. As an internationally known teacher and mentor in oral surgery and implant dentistry, Dr. Joseph Leonetti, shares his advice to new dentists looking to become involved in the field. With over 25 years of experience placing implants, one of the biggest pieces of advice he gives is to analyze any deficiencies prior to surgery. It’s very common for new dentists to jump right into surgery before properly studying their case. Often times, this can lead to unhappy patients and the feeling of failure. Throughout this podcast, you’ll have a better grasp of the best technology for a starting dentist, discover hands-on opportunities to learn about implant dentistry, and realize the importance of finding a mentor in your community. “I thought it was a hot topic 10 years ago” – Dr. Erin Elliott Dr. Erin Elliott, a national speaker and educator on Sleep Apnea, discusses several important facts dentists should know in order to better serve their patients and potentially save lives. According to Dr. Elliott, snoring is not something people should recognize as their “norm.” Yet, 25% of American married couples sleep in separate rooms due to snoring. What’s more, is that dentists can be the first line of defense against Sleep Apnea due to the fact that “oral appliances are effective as first-line therapy in mild to moderate cases.” Listen to this eye-opening podcast to hear more interesting facts about Sleep Apnea and how you can integrate it within your practice. “All of our speakers were like, hey here’s my cell. You need something, call me. And that’s the kind of camaraderie in an organization that’s priceless. I’ve never heard of that anywhere else.” “Doctor Dad,” or as the AAID knows him, Dr. Jay Elliot, has had a profound influence on his daughter, Kallie, and her husband, Kyle—both of whom are dentists. In fact, they come from an entire line of dentists. Doctors Kyle and Kallie Hale were high school sweethearts who tackled their dental journey in the best way possible…together. The couple went to dental school, achieved their Master’s degrees, completed the AAID Houston MaxiCourse®, and are now associates for Dr. Elliot. Should we mention the couple accomplished all of this with two young children and a third on the way? This episode is perfect for the younger dentists looking for direction and a support group in their dental career. Listen in! Recorded live from the 67th Annual Conference in Dallas, TX by Drs. Danny Domingue and Justin Moody. The views expressed in this episode are those of the individual participants and not necessarily that of the AAID. Links from this Episode: To learn more about Drs. Are you a fan of MMA? Do you enjoy watching one fighter gain dominance over another through striking, control, and other tactics? Ever dream of leaving the stands to actually enter the cage as a fighter? What’s it like to be a fighter? What does it take? What are the ins and outs of this combat sport? In this episode of MMA Math, host Roberto Diaz asks co-host Joe Soto, former featherweight champion, to share his experience and advice on what it’s like to be a fighter. Highlights of this Episode: To prepare for a fight, Joe’s routine involves across-the-board training Joe focuses more on himself, rather than watching his opponent’s past fights Measurements (height, weight, etc.) are taken when fighters join an organization - but how accurate are the measurements? What happens after weigh-in? Are fighters relieved they got through it or go and pig out on food? Right before walking out for the fight, fighters tend to think about anything and everything - fear of getting hurt, focusing on the positive, and money involved After the fight, a fighter’s routine probably depends on the outcome of the fight; you’re ready to just go home or ready to go eat and celebrate Most fighters go into a fight with an injury - some that they disclose or not Fighters can be surprised at their abilities, especially early on in their career; get past your doubt Would Joe have done anything differently? Dr. Domingue interviews dental regenerative therapy experts, Drs. Kevin Frawley, Craig Heinen, and Chase White at the Voices of Dentistry conference. This quick-witted quartet revels in past practices of implant dentistry, specifically with IMZ implants, and compares them to the methods of today. They warn young dentists to avoid clutching to the newest, flashiest procedures, and instead, to have a basic comprehension of all the techniques so they “have all the tools in their quiver.” Because in the end, you can’t beat or cheat biology.
