He grew up and followed his primary education in Neuchâtel then moved to Geneva where he graduated in dentistry in 1989 and completed a Doctoral Thesis in 1992. He taught and continued his postgraduate education in Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry at the University of Geneva until 1997. Awarded with major grants by the Swiss Science Foundation, the Swiss Foundation for Medical-Biological Grants, and the International Association for Dental Research, he spent two years as a full-time research scholar in Biomaterials and Biomechanics at the University of Minnesota between 1997 and 1999. Back at the University of Geneva, he received his PhD degree in 2002 and served as Senior Lecturer from 1999 to 2004. Since February 2004, he became Associate Professor at the University of Southern California (USC, Los Angeles) where he also serves as Director of the Center for Esthetic Dentistry. He is the author of the textbook -- "Bonded Porcelain Restorations" (Quintessence Publishing, 2002), as well as clinical and research articles on esthetics and adhesive dentistry and is frequently invited to lecture on these topics.

In 1989, he co-authored the first publication in the world on Nightguard vital bleaching (at-home tray bleaching) with Dr. Harald Heymann, and in 1997 co-authored the first article on extended treatment (six-months) of tetracycline-stained teeth using this technique.While he is most known for his research and articles on tray bleaching, he taught in the Fixed Prosthodontics courses, the Occlusion courses,and the Esthetics course, as well as in sophomore and junior Operative and Fixed student clinics. Blatz is Professor of Restorative Dentistry, Chairman of the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences and Assistant Dean for Digital Innovation and Professional Development at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he also founded the Penn Dental Medicine CAD/CAM Ceramic Center, an interdisciplinary venture to study emerging technologies and new ceramic materials while providing state-of-the-art esthetic clinical care. Dr. Blatz graduated from Albert-Ludwigs University in Freiburg, Germany, and was awarded additional Doctorate Degrees, a Postgraduate Certificate in Prosthodontics, and a Professorship from the same University. Dr. Adams practiced Prosthetic Dentistry in Flint, Michigan for 23 years in a solo practice prior to moving to Denver, Colorado in 2006 where he was the founding Prosthodontist of ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers. He was a member of the team that grew ClearChoice from 1 to over 80 Centers and at one time he may have had the largest dental implant practice in the US. He retired as the Chief Clinical Officer of ClearChoice in December of 2022. Dr. Adams is currently the Chair of the Colorado Dental Board and serves as a Board member of a DSO. Dr. Lagreca is the President of the American College of Prosthodontics Massachusetts section, where she collaborates with dental professionals from all three dental schools in MA. Dr. Lagreca enjoys rehabilitating patients from single teeth crowns to full mouth makeovers with veneers, crowns, implants and dentures. The first dentist on a family of engineers and designers, she truly understands the integration of aesthetics and function. She also enjoys the integration of facial esthetics including Botox to manage clenching, grinding and TMJ disorders. Dr. Lagreca's achievements have been recognized by the Incisal Edge Magazine 40-under-40 2021 Award, The American Dental Education Association and The American Dental Association.
