The Drills also played with countless Florida bands such as Sector 4, Amazing Grace, Noise For The Needy, Morbid Opera, Psycho Daisies, Rugged Edge, The Rock City Angels and many more! The Drills would eventually relocate to Los Angeles, morphing into Rattlebone, where they signed with Hollywood Records. In the course of researching the assassination of Veronica Guerin, I came across the mention of files stolen from the offices of the Director of Public Prosecution by Martin Cahill (The General) and his gang. John Traynor told reporter Paul Williams that one in particular, the file relating to the investigation of the death of Fr Niall Molloy, was used in a trade to get him out of charges for receiving stolen goods. Why in the world was this file so important? I had to know. And so this week, we have the bizarre tale of the unsolved murder of Father Niall Molloy. Fr Molloy was murdered in the home of his friends and business associates, the Flynn's, in the summer of July 1985, a day after the wedding of one of the daughters. This week, Gerard spoke with beef farmer Marshall Dean from Flynn in Gippsland. Marshall is running a 500 acre beef property with more than a passing interest in protecting the creek that runs through the place. Protecting some of the lovely old gun trees the property has and generally leaving the place in a better state than he found it, which was actually pretty good! Channel 4 is to screen what it calls "probably the most horrific images it has ever shown" and which, last year, it said were too gruesome to transmit. They are part of a documentary on the final days of the Sri Lankan army's battle with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, shown last week at the UN Human Rights Council. The UN special rapporteur says the images are prima facie evidence of war crimes, something the Sri Lankan government strongly refutes, saying the videos are not authentic.
