In today's episode, we delve into three cases from the state of Florida. The first case involves a mother who prioritized her own desires over the needs of her toddler. The second case reveals a man who used artificial intelligence for unspeakable purposes. The final case is about a man who just can't seem to stay out of jail. Case 1: Jessica Renteria - Child NeglectOn June 27, 2024, police in Dorrell, Miami-Dade County, responded to a call from concerned neighbors who found a three-year-old boy wandering alone at the Apex at Park Central complex. Body camera footage captured officers finding the child unsupervised for approximately six hours. Case 2: Philip Michael McCorkle - AI-Generated Child PornographyIn late June 2024, Indian River County authorities arrested 38-year-old Philip Michael McCorkle for allegedly using artificial intelligence to generate child pornography. The rise of AI-generated child pornography is a growing concern at both state and national levels. According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, there were 4,700 reports of AI-generated child pornography in 2023 alone.Case 3: Mark Brents - Barcode Manipulation SchemeIn August 2024, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office launched an investigation into a barcode manipulation scheme at Lowe's stores. The accused, 57-year-old Mark Brents, was allegedly switching barcodes from cheaper products onto more expensive items, defrauding Lowe's of over $4,500 worth of merchandise. During the investigation, it was found that this wasn't the first time Mark was being arrested. How man times you ask? You'll never guess. What are your thoughts on these cases? Keith Touchberry For Sheriff And This Is Why

Never in my adult life have I known a time when I trusted elected officials less than I do now. We don't need elected officials. We need leaders. Jesus Christ taught leadership when He washed the feet of his disciples. And when he healed the sick, took care of the needy, and fed the hungry. But most of all, Christ taught leadership when he was tortured and died on the cross for our sins, the ultimate price in service to others. Jesus taught and inspired with His words, but it was his example that changed the world forever more. True leaders are people who selflessly serve others and make decisions based on what is best for those they are responsible for and the greater good rather than their selfish interests. Keith Touchberry, I have discovered, is a leader. He first served his country in the Marine Corps. He then devoted his life to serving the community in law enforcement. He serves his family and his friends, and most importantly to him, he serves God as a devoted Christian. Keith Touchberry's life has been devoted to serving, and to leadership. God has placed the desire in his heart to become the next Sheriff of Indian River County. When we first met a few months ago, I had some tough questions for him. As a former law enforcement officer I wanted to know how he would solve problems, what he thought the problems were, and why, and I wanted to know what it would be like to work for him as a street cop. I have worked for some good leaders, and I have worked for many colossally poor ones. Before Keith was going to earn my vote, I wanted to make sure I would be serving my community by doing my part to elect the right candidate. He took the hard questions well, and I was impressed by his philosophies on law enforcement, problem-solving, and most of all, serving the men and women on the street and in the jail that keep us safe. After more than one lengthy conversation I realized this man had no desire to be just an elected official, he was a true leader who not only had the capability, experience, and knowledge to be an outstanding Sheriff; but he explained that he was here to serve those in his charge and create a culture where the Sheriffs department in turn served the community the same way. When I realized I was listening to him and wishing I was younger and could work under his leadership, I knew I had to get behind his efforts and share what I knew about him. This episode is 1 hour and 7 minutes long and while that time is limited, I think you will come away, like I did, knowing this man well enough to want to support him in his bid for Sheriff. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/goodlad-unscripted/support

The Sexton family has an incredible legacy in Indian River County and have made lasting agricultural contributions that have carried over into so many other aspects of the community that it would be hard to list them all. The positive impacts they've made extend from the fence lines of their Treasure Hammock Ranch east to the coastline of the Atlantic and in this episode we cover the historical timeline of how that came to pass. Today I am joined again with warrior mother, survivor Family Court reform and survivor advocate, independent researcher, entrepreneur, non-profit owner, podcaster and podcast host, healer, and daughter of John Walsh - former and upcoming host and creator of TV Show, America's Most Wanted':  Meghan Walsh. If you missed Meghan's first episode where she shares her testimony - here's a short recap: After questioning the mysterious disappearance and death of her brother, Adam Walsh, her father's relationship with Epstein, and her true family history - a strange turn of events happened almost immediately as Meghan's 4 children were ripped from her loving arms, her parental rights were severed, and her children were trafficked to her parents, John and Reve Walsh, by CPS and the corrupt Secret Family Court in an effort to retaliate and silence Meghan's legitimate concerns about her family's past. And ever since, Meghan has been speaking out loudly and publicly against CPS, the foster care system and the family court corruption in Indian River County who are colluding in an obvious attempt to silence Meghan's voice on behalf of her father. Meghan herself was born into a multi-generational occult-based family and one only has to do a simple Google search to see all the affiliations the Walsh's have with famous celebrities, politicians and global influencers. One only has to start digging for answers to questions such as “How did two adults - John and Reve Walsh - who lost their first-born child that ended up dead could possibly stand a chance to win in court against a loving, sane, and devoted mother and daughter who has never had any criminal charges pressed against her?” to see there is a clear agenda to punish Meghan for being the cycle-breaker of her family. What are the Walsh's trying to hide and why are they going through such efforts to sabotage and strip Meghan of her parental and human rights, home, children and voice? Could America's Most Wanted actually be John and Reve Walsh? Today, we are going to catchup with Meghan as well as introduce you all to a new business venture she has been working so hard on and recently introduced to the public that I'm so excited to talk about called Project American Families. On this channel, we know how corrupt the scene is for businesses and non-profits who allege to help assist and advocate for our children is and it's really exciting that Meghan is using all her resources to compete in the non-profit space to provide actual meaningful help and support for families and children who are victims and survivors of these corrupt establishments and organizations. When a Florida family went missing in 1985, local authorities were at a complete loss with absolutely no leads.  Nearly 6 weeks after James and Carolyn Brown and their three children were last heard from, the family was reported missing. Strange phone calls, a dead hamster and a wall that was freshly painted in an effort to cover blood stains, left more questions than answers.    After being recognized in Georgia several weeks later, James Brown confessed to killing his wife and children and disposing of their bodies in locations in both Florida and Georgia, however despite several searches, they were never found.    It quickly became clear that James was suffering from mental health issues and was ruled insane by three psychologists. Given the fact that no bodies were ever found, and James Brown has since recanted his confession, is it possible that he never murdered his family after all?      The Branch of Hope: SafeSpace safespacefl.org When SafeSpace was founded in Indian River County in October 1979, it was the beginning of an incredible journey to provide safety and support to thousands of domestic violence victims and their children. By 1988, SafeSpace had expanded to St. Lucie and Martin counties and secured its reputation as the local area experts in providing domestic violence services. For more than four decades, SafeSpace has provided nearly half a million safe nights of shelter to more than 40,000 victims and children throughout the Treasure Coast area.   In the past year, SafeSpace served 776 victims of domestic violence consisting of 623 adults and 153 children; and provided a total of 9,689 services.   To vote, head to our Twitter or Facebook page!   Sources: Writer, T. The next time she saw her son, he was in a casket. He died with glory serving his country, the United States of America. But all the glory in the world would not replace the pain of her broken heart. Her son was now a fallen soldier.  Confusion. Depression. Moving forward. Cant move forward. Support. Gold Star Mom. As a military mom, I can't image the pain.  Michelle later learned her son was not afraid to die. He was afraid to be forgotten! The Vero Beach Show      Known as the "Hamptons of the South" and as Florida's "Treasure Coast" Vero Beach is a 28-mile island connected by three bridges to the mainland. About 90 minutes southeast of Orlando, and 90 minutes north of Palm Beach, Vero Beach is served by its own airport with 26 direct flights a day (most importantly for New Yorkers to Newark and Westchester County).  There are 15,220 people across 7,505 households of which 16% have children at home. The largest employer is Piper Aircraft in a city known mainly for tourism. And, as of 2021 the city hosts 14 private golf clubs and is the historic home of the Los Angeles Dodgers, "Historic Dodgertown".     So, why Vero Beach? That's what we want to know. This week we dig in for an in-depth conversation with Vero Beach's top realtor Sally Daley of The Daley Group and top builder Bob McNally of Palm Coast Development to understand the market, where it's been during the covid years and where it's heading.     As Palm Beach prices skyrocket (average $3.3 million, $1600 per foot) is the same true in Vero Beach ($1.2 million, $504 per foot) or is this a secret waiting to be discovered?    Are values in Vero Beach one big hurricane away from "correcting" or has building technology improved to the point where we can say these luxury homes can handle it?    At the end of 2021, some economists were calling the Florida market overheated and overvalued by 40%. But other economists are saying that covid changed everything, that the new work-from-anywhere economy means Florida is no longer only for tourism. Where does Vero Beach see itself in the future?Sally Daley     Known for marketing savvy, boundless energy, and an ability to merge creativity with analytics, Sally is consistently among Indian River County's top producers and has represented buyers, developers, and sellers of properties on the river, ocean, and in between at virtually all price points. In her 15-year real estate career, she has amassed sales well in excess of five hundred and fifteen million dollars.      Her dedication to research and data analytics, relentless following of the markets, and her encyclopedic knowledge of the real estate market and Indian River County make her a truly unequaled advocate for her clients. Sally's data-backed and research-based approach stand-alone in Indian River County.     Prior to her career in real estate, Sally owned a public relations + marketing firm just north of New York City. Her firm provided services for high-profile clients like Citibank, Hyatt Hotels, Champion Paper, Nine West Shoes, and The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, among others.       Bob McNally is the CEO at Palm Coast Development. His company is unique in that it combines architecture, interior decors, and construction as the main functions of a full-service integrated business. It has built significant landmark projects and high-end residences in Vero Beach and Stuart, Florida over the past 15 years.     The McNallys hail from Morris County, New Jersey where Robert was the CEO of a major construction firm that was involved in the acquisition, planning, and construction of major communities involving well over 5,600 homes and 1,000,000 square feet of Class A office space.     Having been involved in over a billion dollars worth of construction projects the company decided to form an Architecture and Interiors studio so that it could concentrate on custom projects; homes, small communities, mixed-use projects, condominiums, and Class A commercial projects.John Engel - John Engel can be found at http://www.JohnEngel.com.Scott Hobbs - Scott can be found at http://www.HobbsInc.com.

Here are your hosts, Tina Dunbar and Luke Flynt.[00:00:43] Sen. James Hargett: One of the greatest privileges I've had as a state Senator in the state of Florida is to have a participated along with Representative Bradley in sponsoring the legislation to require the teaching of African-American history in the schools of Florida. I believe that it will help our young people in the state know their history. As I stated on the floor in the Senate, you can't know where you're going, unless you know where you're coming from. I also believe that you can't teach the history of America truly without teaching the history of African-Americans as a central part of it. And for that reason, I'm very proud to participate.[00:01:28] Tina Dunbar, Host: Those are the words of former state Senator James Hargett who sponsored the 1994 legislation requiring Florida schools to add African-American history to the curriculum. Welcome to Educating from the Heart I'm Tina Dunbar with my cohost Luke Flynt. So, Luke, we began the last episode with a history lesson. So let's start this one with a quick quiz. What do you think about that? Well, you know, you can't work in education without a few assessments here and there. What do you remember learning about African-American history in school? I grew up in another state. And when I think about it, most of my learning came from my family and from within my community. I don't remember learning a lot about African-American contributions to American history in school.I do remember learning a few names and a focus on Egypt and the pyramids. But there was no reference to the significance of Egypt being in the continent of Africa, which I see as a total disconnect because African-Americans have a significant past, and we continue to play an important role in shaping American history today. Wouldn't you agree?[00:02:48] Luke Flynt, Host: You know, Tina, there is so much that I appreciate about the great public education I received in Indian River County. And I am proud to be a member of the Vero Beach High School Class of 1998. When I look back at my schooling, there is no doubt that I received a sanitized, you know, maybe even a whitewashed version of history. You know, I was taught for instance, the myth that Rosa Parks was just a lone actor who one day got tired and didn't giv...
