I traveled 14 hrs to see my Nephew Degan and his fishing partner Troy Jr fish in the TBF Junior World Championships at Sooners Lake outside Ponca City Oklahoma. I was able to sit down with Mr. Randy Sullivan who is the Senior National Tournament Director for the JWC from the Student Angler Federation for High School Students. I also couldn't skip the chance to interview my nephew Degan "Scooter" Dougherty and his team mate Troy Crawford Jr. So day one was a tough day, weight in zero fish really hurt the standings. Day two brought the spirits up with 4 fish weighing 8 lbs 4 oz. Unfortunately, this strong day two finish wasn't enough to qualify them for day 3. Degan and Troy missed their day three shot by a mere 14 oz. Hell of a fight boys. CSL: Coupé, Sport, Lightweight.En castellano “Coupé, Deportividad, Ligereza” usadas sobre todo por BMW. Si el primer apellido de un BMW es M y el segundo CSL… es lo mejor de los mejor. 3. DB: David Brown. Usadas por Aston Martin. También se usa DBR, David Brawn Racing… 4. G: Gelaendenwagen. En alemán, todoterreno. En principio era un vehículo militar. Muy usadas por Mercedes. 5. GSi: Grand Sport Injection. Característica de Opel, estas siglas fueron inauguradas por el Manta B en los años 80 (antes utilizaba GT/E) y luego por los Kadett y Astra entre otros. 6. GTE: Gran Turismo Einspritzung. O sea, Gran Turismo Inyección en alemán, lo mismo que GTi… 7. GTi: Gran Turismo Injection. Las popularizó Volkswagen con su Golf y luego las usaron mucho, muchísimos más coches… algunos poco deportivos. 8. GTO: Gran Turismo Omologato. GT Homologado para competición. ¡Que grandes Ferrari se han hecho con estas siglas! Los Ferrari GTO 250 han llegado a sobrepasar en subasta los 50 millones de euros. 9. GTR: Gran Turismo Racing. Utilizada por muchas marcas, entre ellas Mercedes con sus AMG GTR, McLaren con su F1 GTR o Nissan con sus GTR. 10. GTS: Gran Turismo Sport.Muy utilizadas por Porsche, por primera vez en un 904 GTS. Pero luego ha habido muchos otros GTS, yo recuerdo por ejemplo al espectacular 928 GTS. 11. HDi: High pressure Direct Injection. Inyección directa de alta presión, siglas que inauguró Peugeot, en producción desde 1998 y poco después Citroën. 12. HF: High Fidelity. Usadas por Lancia significan lo que todos imagináis, “Alta Fidelidad”. Fue un Club Lancia el que se comenzó a llamar así, hay quien dice que por el sonido de los motores y al final la marca se “quedó” con la denominación. 12+1. JCW: John Cooper Works. Las usa Mini y son sinónimo de prestaciones. John Cooper cuando vio las posibilidades en competición del Mini, preparó las versiones Cooper. Ahora las llaman JCW. Ejemplo: Cualquier Mini “Moderno” JWC es un buen representante. 14. M: Motorsport. Una sigla mítica cuando hablamos de BMW y que acaba de cumplir 40 años… puedo decir aquello de “yo estuve allí”. 15. OPC: Opel Performance Center. Creo que exclusiva de Opel. Se creó en 1997 y su primer modelo fue un Astra 2.0 atmosférico. Sustituyó a los GSi en el tope de prestaciones. 16. Q.O.: Quadrifoglio Oro. Exclusiva de la marca del “Trébol de Cuatro hojas”. Me encanta el italiano y me encanta que tengan una palabra específica para “Trébol de cuatro hojas”. So os preguntáis como se dice “trébol” sin más, es “trifoglio”. Los Q.O., con puntos, son los coches más deportivos de la marca. También estaban los Q.V. 17. RS: Rennsport, Rallye Sport o Renault Sport. Nunca dos letras han dado tanto juego. Audi y Porsche, entre otras, las utiliza como “Rennsport”, traducido, Carreras. Otras marcas, como Chevrolet y Ford, las utilizan como Rallye Sport. Y Renault y solo Renault, por razones obvias, las utiliza como Renault Sport. 18. RSR: Rennsport Racing. Utilizadas por Audi y Porsche. Un poco reiterativo lo de “coche de carreras de competición” … pero suena muy bien. 19. SL: Sportlich-Leich. Significa literalmente deportivo ligero. Muy utilizada sobre todo por Mercedes en sus coupés y cabrios. 20. STi: Subaru Tecnica International. Corresponde a los modelos de altas prestaciones de Subaru… 21. SLK: Sport Leichte Kompakte. Kompakte o Kurt, “corto”. Otra denominación muy Mercedes que quiere decir Deportivo, Ligero y Compacto. 22. SRT: Street Racing Technologies. Podríamos decir que es lo mismo que “tecnología de carreras para andar por la calle”. Muy utilizada por Dodge y Chrysler entre otros. 23. ST: Sport Technologies. Tecnología deportiva, unas siglas “muy Ford”, que las ha usado en muchos y muy notable modelos. 24. VTEC: Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control. Un Sistema de Honda que podríamos traducir literalmente como “sincronización variable de válvulas y control electrónico de elevación” . 25. TDi: Turbo Direct Injection. Es decir, “turbo de inyección directa” y no “Diésel de inyección directa”, confusión lógica porque esta denominación se usaba en los modelos Turbo.

Craufurdland Castle in Fenwick, Ayrshire, keeps its secrets close. It has been held in the same family for almost two thousand years.  It is the early 1800s. Janet Craufurd, Lady of the house, She suspects that the house has its own story to tell – a story lost in a secret passage, in hidden rooms, in dusty books and neglected papers , someone is watching her as she searches for answers; someone she cannot see but whose presence she senses as she works. She writes in her diary, charting the progress of renovations to the estate which has suffered years of neglect. But Janet's mind is not easy!!  This Audio Drama is based on historical documents and facts, as well as on family stories and a real diary written by Janet Craufurd from 1808. It is a blend of facts and fiction, and the current Laird and Lady of Craufurdland loved it! . Jill Korn Says : I have made up almost all of the dialogue, but have relied on Janet's diary to draw her character and to interpret the kind relationship between husband and wife as they work to restore the castle for themselves and their family. The story of the Earl's head seen rolling across the floor in Dean Castle is commonly told in different versions to visitors to the castle, but as far as I know there are no ghosts reported in Craufurdland Castle. I made up the ghost of JWC who watches Janet writing in her diary from his favourite chair in the library. I have guessed at Isabella's character, and have also guessed that she might not like Janet going back over the family history which still holds painful memories for her. Daniel Dubois is a French Joomla volunteer. He's 54 (in few days), lives in Brittany with his wife (thank her for her patience) and her Great dane named Gamine, the #OPS chief officer at OSM. He has discovered Joomla in 2007 without having any skills in coding. Because he loves to share and help others, Joomla became a part of his life and he is involved in the project as a volunteer since 2014. He've launched his own company in 2013 as webmaster freelance and now, he works exclusively with and for Joomla. Since, he has written hundreds of tutorials and articles about our CMS on his blog, on the JCM, etc. He has also founded a JUG in Brittany.
