When life throws a curveball, some see a setback, but others like Kaneshi Hart see an opportunity. Five years ago, Kaneshi was climbing the corporate ladder, enjoying the fruits of a successful career, and traveling internationally. Life seemed set on a promising trajectory. Yet, as many of us have experienced, stability can be fleeting. A series of layoffs, a toxic work environment, and a global pandemic later, Kanesha found herself at a crossroads. She decided to take an entrepreneurial route. The episode unfolds Kaneshi's story with raw honesty and vulnerability. She talks about being laid off not once, but twice within two years, and how these bumps in her road led her to question the path she was on, and to wonder what else was out there. Were events a streak of bad luck or a nudge towards a different calling? Come listen in. What they're saying: “This is a beautiful book about life, its imperfections, its challenges, and its joys. It is a book of hope and wisdom for all of us facing a bump in the road.” –Pragito Dove “Pat has woven together beautiful stories of life setbacks that have been transformed into spiritual growth. “When you are producing in the zone that feels the most comfortable to you, that feels like you are at your best, you can think clearly, you're not overstretched, what does that look like for you? People have not been asked that question. How do you produce best, what does that look like on your own terms?” -Kanesha Baynard In this episode, Master Certified Coach Jill Farmer talks with author and creativity and productivity expert Kanesha Baynard about how to stop spinning your wheels and start being productive. Jill and Kanesha talk us through Kanesha's list of the things we should do more of and the things we should do less of. The list contains more daily doing and less overdoing, more self compassion and less self sabotage, more authentic connecting and less surface interactions and lastly, more rest and less getting it all done at any cost. Kanesha explains the benefits and reasons for the items on the list and their importance. You will also hear about the importance of reminding yourself about purposeful productivity, understanding how you are productive, thinking about self compassion, being authentic in your connections and really taking the time to see and be seen among many other very meaningful gems.
