Ludmila Praslova: The Canary Code Ludmila Praslova is a Professor of Industrial-Organizational Psychology at Vanguard University of Southern California and regularly writes for Harvard Business Review, Fast Company, Psychology Today, and Forbes. We've all seen career paths that sound like this: analyst 1, analyst 2, senior analyst, lead analyst, manager of analysts, etc. Those paths to leadership work for some people, but they don't work for others. In this conversation, Ludmila and I explore how to create leadership paths that work for everyone. Key Points Canaries were used in coal mines because they were more sensitive to early indicators of problems – in a way that helped everyone. The same is often true for neurodivergent leaders in organizations. The “ideal leader” is a myth. If we are honest, no individual fits the ideal profile. Having different paths to leadership makes more sense in a complex world. Many of the best leaders are specialists in something. Instead of looking for “culture fit,” challenge yourself and your organization to do a “culture add.” Neurodiverse leaders can be less susceptible to bias and have higher levels of divergent thinking – huge benefits strengths for many organizations. In addition to people management, consider paths for leadership that focus strength and skill on system and process, strategy, expertise, though leadership, global leadership, and creative ideation. Making the workplace more accessible and equitable for one population almost always makes it better for everyone. Stāsta Latvijas Kultūras akadēmijas (LKA) profesors, LKA Eduarda Smiļģa Teātra muzeja vadītājs Jānis Siliņš. Pārraides producente: Gunda Vaivode. Pirmie aktieru kursi tika nodibināti 1909. gadā, un tā vadītājs bija Jēkabs Duburs kopā ar Zeltmati (Ernestu Kārkliņu īstajā vārdā). Jēkabs Duburs arī vēl šobrīd ir pazīstams vārda pēc, jo viņa balvu ik pa reizei Latvijas Teātra darbinieku savienība pasniedza kādam aktierim, režisoram vai pedagogam. 1909. gadā aizsāktā apmācība tika veidota pēc zināma vācu teātra modeļa. Pirms tam aktieri šeit nemācījās. Jā, protams, bija Pēteris Ozoliņš, kas jau iepriekš bija apguvis izglītību. Un tātad šajā apmācībā bija lemts, ka liela vērība pievēršama izrunas tehnikai, teorijai un praksei, balss izkopšanai, tēlošanas tehnikai, psiholoģijai, latviešu valodai, latviešu rakstniecības vēsturei, teātra un drāmas vēsturei, metrikai un arī poētikai. Šajos kursos studentus uzņēma konkursa kārtībā, 1909. gadā – apmēram 40 cilvēkus, beidza – 12.  No tiem visievērojamākie ir Jānis Simsons, kurš pēc tam strādāja Dailes teātrī, un kāda ļoti ievērojama teātra kritiķe Paula Jēgere-Freimane. Otrajā gadā kursus beidza arī Nacionālā teātra vadošā aktrise Ludmila Špīlberga. Šāds modelis vieniem bija ļoti izdevīgs, jo beidzot aktieris varēja mācīties kaut kādu sistēmu, bet, no otras puses, daudziem likās, ka aktieris tādējādi zaudē intuīciju, viņš nav vairs tik brīvs, balstoties kādā tehniku. Pēc Dubura nāves 1916. gadā šos kursus pārņēma Zeltmatis, un līdz pat 1940. gadam tie bija visstabilākie aktieru apmācības kursi. Tiesa, ar dažādām problēmām, jo darbojās bez valsts finansējumu. 1920. gadu sākumā valdība lēma, ka par valsts atbalstītas aktieru skolas direktori varētu kļūt Aspazija, bet, protams, kā jau Saeimā tas gadās, ir pozīcija un opozīcija, un par to nenobalsoja. Un kur nu vēl par Aspaziju, kas, protams, to būtu pelnījusi. Bet nesanāca, viņa tomēr vairāk strādāja ar savu dramaturģiju. Zeltmata kursiem ik pa laikam radās arī kādi konkurenti, un viens no šiem konkurentiem uzradās 1932. gadā, kad pie mums ieradās Mihails Čehovs – ļoti ievērojams cilvēks, teātra personība, lielisks, pat ģeniāls aktieris, kurš, aizbēgdams no Padomju Savienības, savu studiju vispirms vēlējās izveidot Parīzē, bet, tā kā tas finansiālu apsvērumu dēļ neizdevās, tad šejienieši – Nacionālā teātra direktors Artūrs Bērziņš, žurnālists Jānis Kārkliņš un vēl citi – viņu uzaicināja šeit iestudēt izrādes. Kā zināms, trīs arī tika iestudētas Nacionālajā teātrī:  gan “Hamlets”, gan “Ēriks IV”, gan “Jāņa briesmīgā nāve”, kurās Čehovs pats spēlēja titullomas krievu valodā un pārējie aktieri runāja latviešu valodā. Viņš nodibināja Latvju aktieru arodbiedrības dramatiskos kursus. Nodarbības notika konservatorijā, un, kā atceras viens no šiem audzēkņiem Voldemārs Pūce, kurš zināms kā režisors, kinorežisors, filmas “Mērnieku laiki” autors, pretendenti bija apmēram 200, bet uzņēma 50. Atlase bija nežēlīga. Bet arī finansiāli apstākļi ietekmēja, jo mācības notika vakaros un par tām bija jāmaksā. Trīsdesmitajos gados valdība, Saeima arī domāja, ka nav vajadzīgi tik daudz aktieru, un tāpēc viņi teica, ka ir jāpārstāj jaunu aktieru producēšana. Vēl paralēli Zeltmata un Čehova kursiem vienu brīdi bija izcilās aktrises Birutas Skujenieces dramatiskie kursi. Viņa bija nodibinājusi īslaicīgo intīmo teātri, un tur savā specifikā apmācīja aktierus tādā kā simbolisma manierē. Zināmākie aktieri, kas mācījās pie viņas, ir, piemēram, Edgars Zīle un vēlākais Liepājas teātra galvenais režisors Nikolajs Mūrnieks. Vēl ārkārtīgi būtiski bija Ernesta Feldmaņa kursi, tie veidojās 1927. gadā. Ernests Feldmanis bija mācījies Krievijā, Maskavā, pats iepazinis Staņislavska sistēmu, viņš varēja iedarbināt no vācu teātra atšķirīgo psiholoģisko teātri. Ernesta Feldmaņa kursiem bija ļoti liela piekrišana, jo, piemēram, brīnišķīgā aktrise Emīlija Bērziņa, kura jau bija beigusi Zeltmata kursu, pēc tam vēlreiz iestājās Feldmaņa kursos, un vienā gadā tos pabeidzot, saņēma diplomu Nr. 1. Viņa teica, ka Ernests Feldmanis bijis gan izskatīgs, gan temperamentīgs, un psiholoģijā un aktiera spēles veidā nerādīja neko priekšā, bet lika izjust, saprast un veidot šos tēlus. Līdz ar to varam teikt, ka bija interese par to, kā profesionāli iedot aktieriem spējas pastāvēt un būt uz skatuves. Protams, bija aktieru pārprodukcija. Un, ja mēs tagad sakām, Kultūras akadēmijā ir daudz to jauno aktieru un veidojas vēl kādas citas studijas, tad vajag izlasīt Ilzes Kalnāres romānu “Aktrise Ragārēs”. Tur galvenā varone ir viens no šiem tipiem, kura, būdama talantīga aktrise, neatrod darbu nevienā teātrī un ir spiesta dzīvot citādāk. Tātad, aktiera izglītība visu laiku tika atstāta privātu, uzņēmīgu cilvēku rokās.

„Dneska můžeš natočit písničku na mobil. Tak proč ještě existují studia?“Touto otázkou odstartoval Honza Vedral devátou Headliner půdu, která se tentokrát věnovala nahrávání, produkci a životu za sklem studia. Pozvání přijali Milan Cimfe ze studia Sono, Michal „Amák“ Šťastný z Golden Hive a Tomáš Fröde z kapely Imodium a studia I.Mluvilo se o tom, proč jsou studia pořád důležitá, proč se kapely ve studiu rozpadají, proč je zpěv nejkřehčí část nahrávání i o tom, jak vznikaly desky Lucie, Kabátu nebo Alice. Došlo i na LSD ve studiu, rozbité zuby při produkci, nebo na to, proč je někdy lepší nechat nahrávku nedokonalou.„Hudba jsou vzpomínky a emoce. Lidem je často úplně jedno, že to hraje blbě, ale stalo se to jednou správně,“ zaznělo během večera plného zkušeností i historek z praxe.Záznam první části Headliner půdy končí akustickou písní Tomáše Frödeho. Druhá část vás čeká již brzy. A vy jste srdečně zváni na další Headliner půdu už 25.5. v Malostranské besedě s tématem "manažerky". O své zkušenosti se přijdou podělil Ludmila "Dydla" Karlíková, která se stará o Vypsanou fixu, Kateřina Žbirková či Rozálie. Projekt Headliner půda vzniká za podpory OSA a Ministerstva kultury.

To dibināja Raiņa klubs, un oficiāli tas saucas Raiņa kluba Raiņa un Aspazijas tautas nama Dailes teātris. Eduards Smiļģis bija otrais direktors, jo pirmais bija Rainis. Bet arreiz, kā teiktu Džemma Skulme, aizrāvās ar idejām, ka šajā telpā Romānova ielā 25, tagadējā Lāčplēša ielā 25, kur jau bija bijis Jaunais latviešu teātris, Jaunais Rīgas teātris, jārada teātris, kas ir pretējs psiholoģiskam jeb naturālistiskam teātrim. Lai dzīvo forma! Un forma tātad ir tas kults – Smiļģis teica, teātrī bija ziedošanās kults – skatuves mākslai. Jo teātris ir darbība, kurā aktieris ir centrā, bet viņu iedarbina ansamblī radusies un skatuves mākslas izteiksmībā veidotā atmosfēra. Vispirms, Eduards Smiļģis skaidri saprata, ka viņam ir jāstrādā nevis vienam pašam, bet ar konsultantiem. Tādas sistēmas latviešu teātrī vēl nebija. Viņš bija inscenētājs, nekad – režisors. Un viens pēc otra parādījās viņa konsultanti. Tā, protams, bija izcilā Felicita Ertnere, kas bija ritmoplastikas un kustības meistariene ar ļoti labu izglītību. Tas vēlāk, ar otro sezonu, bija Burhards Sosārs, kas bija komponists, kuram vajadzēja piedalīties visur – traģēdijās, drāmās, komēdijās, vēlāk muzikālajās izrādēs. Tur, protams, bija Jānis Simsons, konsultēja skatuves runu, tur bija Makss Lēvenšteins – vācu teātra uzvedumu meistars, kas palīdzēja pārveidot skatuvi. Tur, protams, bija Fricis Lepnis, kas veidoja apgaismošanas sistēmas. Vispirmām kārtām bija nepieciešams lauzt skatuvi. Tāda skatuve kā Nacionālajā teātrī viņam neder. Ir vajadzīgas podestūras, kubi, kāpnes, slīpnes, ja vajag, arī serpentīnus. Galu galā 1926. gada izrādē “Spēlēju, dancoju” Otto Skulmes scenogrāfijā Tots jau gāja augšā pa tādu kā serpentīnu. Otrs, kas viņam bija obligāti nepieciešams, viņš aizsūtīja uz Vāciju scenogrāfu Jāni Munci, lai iegādātos labāko skatuves tehniku. Vācijā tāda bija Maksim Reinhardam. Un Makss Reinhards principā bija nolēmis, ka šādu tehniku neviens cits nevar iegādāties. Smiļģis – vai tā ir leģenda? – izvēlējās un atveda vēl labāku. Tā daudzus gadus, līdz pat deviņdesmitajiem, Jaunajā Rīgas teātrī strādāja šī sistēma ar vecajiem reostatiem. Bet Smiļģis ar reiz panāca, ka teātrī nav rampas, jo rampas gaisma neder teātrim, bet ir prožektori, ir pretgaisma, ir kontrgaisma, kas nemet ēnas un var radīt. Trešais ir tas, ka jau pirmajās deklarācijās bija rakstīts, ka aizpriekškars, aizkars pēc izrādes netiks atvērts. Smiļģis teica, ka nav ko lieki dižoties – aktieris savu darbu ir parādījis un tev ir jāpaliek tajā lomā, skatītājiem radītajā iespaidā, nevis jānāk un jāklanās. Tās bija ļoti retas reizes, kad priekškars atverās. Par to liecina arī kāda Aspazijas atmiņa: 1927. gadā, kad Smiļģis Dailes teātrī iestudēja viņas drāmu “Madlienas baznīcas torņa cēlēji”, pēc pirmizrādes autore tika izsaukta uz skatuvi, viņu godināja. Un viņa, zinādama, ka Dailes teātrī priekškaru neatver, tomēr ar roku rādīja uz to un vēlējās, lai kāds parādītos. Bet neparādījās. Recenzents teica: “Aspazijai taču vajadzēja zināt, ka šeit priekškaru neatver.” Vēl bija tāda inovācija, ka dažos uzvedumos skatītājam, ienākot zālē, bija redzama atvērta skatuve, un viņš jau varēja iejusties izrādes dekorācijās un atmosfērā. Un izrādēs, īpaši 20. gadu pirmajā pusē, parādījās skatuves strādnieki, kuri zināmos brīžos pārvietoja dekorācijas, visiem redzot. Smiļģis jau tajā laikā saprata, ka laiks ir jāekonomē, plus Smiļģis ļoti labi saprata kinematogrāfisko principu – viņš lugas īsināja, montēja. Ne jau velti viņš “Faustu” 1940. gadā iestudēja pilnā apmērā, kas liekas pilnīgi neiespējami. Bet, kas ir redzējis viņa eksemplāru – ha! Smiļģis jau visu nemaz nerādīja, jo viņam jau galvenais bija parādīt visu tajā vizuālajā, kustīgajā, darbīgajā ritmā un paust ideju. Vēl viens ārkārtīgs jauninājums ir tas, ka viņu neapmierināja līdzšinējā aktieru izglītība, un tāpēc 1924. gadā viņš nodibināja savu aktieru studiju – Pirmo Dailes teātra studiju. Tādas pie teātriem nebija. Un, kas ir ļoti interesanti, (apmācībā) nebija aktiermeistarības. Bija runa, protams, kustība, deja, plastika, paukošanās, poētika, estētika, dziedāšana, mūzika un tā tālāk. Bet aktiermeistarību apguva tikai konkrēti strādājot masu skatos, statistos – tieši uz skatuves un vērojot citu aktieru darbus. Tas ir vienkārši pārsteidzoši. Un tā to darīja, starp citu, arī Otrajā studijā. Tad nāca PSRS programmas, kuras uzspieda, ka vajag arī mācīt aktiermeistarību. Tātad, Eduarda Smiļģa piegājiens radīja arī cita tipa aktieri. Nu, lūk! Un ar ko viņš pārvarēja ekonomisko krīzi? Ar dziesmu spēlēm! Sākot ar 1928. gadu, kad pirmoreiz iestudēja Ofenbaha “Skaisto Helēnu” un pieaicināja brīnišķīgo operas solisti Mildu Brehmani-Štengeli dziedāt Helēnas lomu. Līdzās viņai bija jaunais aktieris Kārlis Pabriks, kas kļuva pēc tam par zvaigzni muzikālajās izrādēs. Nākamās bija “Trejmeitiņas”, kuras nospēlēja vairāk nekā 250 reizes, un tur jau arī līdzās teātra aktieriem bija pieaicināts profesors Pauls Sakss. Arī vēlākā posmā Dailes teātris iztika ar saviem aktieriem, bet ik pa laikam vēl kādu pieaicināja, tai skaitā arī Marisu Vētru. Un vienmēr teica tā: ja Smiļģis ekonomisko krīzi pārvarēja ar “Trejmeitiņām”, kuras ienesa naudu, tad Nacionālā teātra “trejmeitiņas” – Ludmila Špīlberga, viesmāksliniece Lilija Štengele un Ārija Simsone – nesa zaudējumus, jo viņām bija lieli honorāri. Tātad arī šis ir inovatīvs mākslinieka, menedžera un direktora gājiens, kā panākt, lai skatītājs ne tikai izklaidētos, bet iegūtu vērtīgu mākslas darbu Dailes teātrī.

Human trafficking isn't a single story, it's a global web of exploitation that takes many forms.
