First up, we have Nick Symmonds, two time Olympian, discuss his experience of dealing with the highs and lows of being a professional athlete and how, by working with a sport psychologist, he learned to enjoy his career rather than resent it. James Newbury, Crossfit Games athlete, explains how a wealth of different experiences growing up has lead to him becoming a successful athlete and how learning the art of delayed gratification is crucial for performance. Dylan Hartley, former England rugby captain, then discusses what it was like to lead his country in such a high performance environment under the coaching of Eddie JonesFinally, Gaz Banford, former Sergeant Major of the SBS, talks about what we can do to adopt a high performance mindset and outlines how, nowadays, it's too easy to see people being successful rather than appreciating the journey that has lead to their success.Expect to learn what it takes to be a high performer. “By far, my number one biggest regret of my pro career was I didn’t start a YouTube channel earlier. I’m really happy with everything I did on the track. I just could have been set up so much better for the transition after running if I had been throwing up all my workouts on YouTube. I’d have millions and millions of followers and subscribers now. That’s a massive audience to sell products to and continue to inspire. I didn’t do that. It’s a double-edged sword. 1) It takes a massive amount of time and energy and resources to be a successful YouTuber and that would have detracted from my ability to put all of myself into running. On the other hand, I do have an entrepreneur’s mind and could have outsourced and hired a lot of that out.” ------ 2x Olympian, World Championship medalist and 6x U.S. champion Nick Symmonds join us to talk about what the future if track needs, our dream track event, the 400m Crocs world record and more. Nick also addresses his haters on what they get right and what they get wrong about him. Who knew this Podcast would get this far CUZ DAMN this was a good episode?! This is the most profound and life-changing episode I've ever recorded. Honestly, you won't be the same person after listening to this. We've all heard it from time to time that if you want to be successful, you should be visualising your success. Picture yourself winning that business deal. See yourself building that app you've always wanted to build. Visualise yourself buying that house, driving that car, finding that dream partner - whatever it is, picture it. I know it sounds slightly out of the norm, but time and time again, I've found in my business journey that success leaves clues, and one of those clues is exactly that - visualise yourself succeeding, and you will succeed in whatever it is. Trust me, I've done it myself and it works. All. The. Time. And what better expert to have on the show today than none other than world-class athlete Nick Symmonds. He's 7x NCAA champion, 6x USA outdoor champion at 800m, 2x World Champion Finalist, 2008 & 2012 Olympian. Nick talks about his success on the track and how he used to visualise his races beforehand, which led to him being one of the most successful U.S runners of all time. During his career, he launched his own business, RunGum which he is still the CEO of today that has become hugely successful. I can't wait for you all to listen to today's show because honestly, it's the most profound show we've EVER recorded. Sit tight and listen intently - you won't be the same person after listening to this. Ready to get started on your app?
