We've got a bonus pod for everyone, as part of our Where Your Dreams Become Reality series. Daniel Michalski was a baseball player and band member for most of his high school career. Then he tried track and cross country and he has taken the more circuitous route to the top ranks of the sport. He won a a DII NCAA title for Cedarville. He nearly won a DI for Indiana but fell over the final barrier. Unsponsored, during COVID at one point he was working at Walmart to help support his wife Abby. When she got pregnant, he wanted to find a job with insurance, and that led him to coaching in Texas, training solo, a new coach of his own and a return to the top of the sport. He was the most gracious 4th placer we've ever seen at the 2020 Olympic Trials, and now has his eyes set on the 2024 Paris Olympics. In today's episode, I talk to Luke Warhurst. Luke is the Director of Partnerships and Social Media at the Very Nice Track Club, one of the world's fastest professional track teams, with athletes like five-time Olympian and two-time Olympic medalist Nick Willis, Olympian Mason Ferlic, and high school 1500m American record holder Hobbs Kessler. Wanting to document this amazing team, Luke started creating YouTube videos highlighting the workouts, race preparations, and lifestyle of the Very Nice Track Club. As a Michigan native and son of the legendary coach Ron Warhurst, running has always been a part of Luke's life and he shares some really interesting stories of being surrounded by this elite running community at such a young age. Luke is also a racing driver and he talks about this aspect of his life along with what he believes motorsports is doing right. Also, stay tuned for a special guest appearance by Hobbs Kessler, who, like I said before, is the high school American record holder in the 1500m and current professional runner for Adidas. I hope you all enjoy this episode!

After completing university she decided to invest more time into running and that move paid dividends. Now after more than 12 years, she's a 10 time national medalist, was named to the Canadian World Champion Team, and most recently competed in her first Olympics in Tokyo. Our normal podcast returned but this was far from a normal podcast as podcasting history was made as for the first time in world history a six-day-old baby appeared on a podcast. Once we adjusted to our new female co-host, we spent most of the show debating who had the better career - Dathan Ritzenhein, Alan Webb or Ryan Hall? Along the way, Rojo ranted about the need for colleges to open up this fall, Tedd Ginn Jr was exposed as a liar, we wondered if World Athletics deserves more props for its anti-doping effectiveness, and much more. The podcast is sponsored by TheFeed.com. They've got everything you need to perform at your best and try and stay healthy. LetsRun.com co-founder Weldon Johnson recently his goody bag and is pumped.
