Building Customer Loyalty Through Experience and Community Shep interviews Sujay Saha, founder and CEO of Cortico-X. He talks about how aligning customer experience with pricing and expectations drives value. This episode of Amazing Business Radio with Shep Hyken answers the following questions and more: What is return on experience (ROX) and how can businesses measure it? How can businesses match customer expectations to pricing? How does blending creativity and data improve customer service strategies? What steps can companies take to minimize friction in the customer journey? How does building customer communities foster brand loyalty? Top Takeaways: The higher the price, the higher the expectation. However, this does not automatically mean more products or more features. To create amazing experiences that provide value, brands need to understand what truly matters to their customers. Every customer looks for a specific kind of value, whether it is convenience, quality, community, or something else. Understand the value that your customers are looking for and design your experiences to meet (or even exceed) these expectations. Memorable experiences are not always expensive. They are often simple, timely, or personal. Offering a free car cleaning service at an auto repair shop or designing a seamless airline boarding system can add extra value to customer interactions. Customers love connecting with others who share their experience. By cultivating communities, brands can provide memorable, shareable experiences that create loyalty and a sense of belongingness. Customers don't just compare you to similar businesses. They compare you to the best experiences they have ever had, regardless of industry, product, or price point. The real competition is every amazing experience. The return on experience (ROX) should be both actionable and accountable. Leaders must examine the root drivers behind customer experiences and use them as a guide on where to direct their investments. Then measure these investments to see whether they translate into the desired outcomes, such as increased loyalty or brand advocacy. Plus, Shep and Sujay share real-world examples of organizations that are reaping the returns of delivering exceptional customer experience. Tune in! Quote: "Don't just consider the cost of experiences, but also think about how much loyalty you can create (with that investment), which can turn into future sales." About: Sujay Saha is the Founder and CEO of Cortico-X, known for advancing experience-led strategies and pioneering ROX (Return on Experience) for Fortune 500 companies. This week, our guest is Jeff Hiller. The veteran comedian and actor is hardly a newcomer, but it's his recent role on the television series Somebody Somewhere that has finally brought him widespread recognition. In 2025, he earned an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for that performance. Hiller talks about the journey in his memoir, Actress of a Certain Age: My Twenty-Year Trail to Overnight Success. Fans have appreciated his captivating and heartfelt humor for decades at stand-up shows; in theater performances including Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson, The Tempest, and most recently the 2025 revival of Urinetown; and on television series like 30 Rock, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and Community. On May 8, 2026, Hiller came to the Sydney Goldstein Theater in San Francisco to talk to Poulomi Saha about comedy, friendship, and success. Saha is an English professor and the Co-Director of the Program in Critical Theory at UC Berkeley. The evening was co-presented with San Francisco Public Library and a supporting non-profit, Friends of the San Francisco Public Library.
In our recent interview with Pinaki Saha, CEO & Founder at Anshar AI, he put some numbers on the problems that are commonly cited in healthcare billing and revenue. Saha shared that 40-50% of medical claims are denied, and that it can take up to 14 hours for a human to figure out how to get around the denial, so the provider often abandons the claim. Saha also suggests that doctors are spending half their time on administrative work, and that it can take ten hours to get approval for a high-cost medicine.Lots of providers are interested in how agentic AI can solve problems, but they get overwhelmed by the variety of products offered. Saha recommends picking a small project with a clear goal as a pilot. And two products from Anshar AI, PriorAuthPilot and DenialFighter, seem to fit that agenda.Learn more about Anshar AI: https://anshar.ai/Healthcare IT Community: https://www.healthcareittoday.com/

In our fractured and sometimes dark world, we so often focus on the leading causes of death – but what if we focused our energy on what gives life? That is the pioneering work of my guests today. Dr. Somava Saha and Rev. Dr. Gary Gunderson are leaders in public health. And while they come from very different faith traditions, together they believe that communities have within them the belonging, agency, and wisdom to thrive. Gary Gunderson is an ordained Baptist minister and professor of Faith and Health at Wake Forest University School of Divinity. He developed the five leading causes of life: agency, coherence, connection, generativity and hope. Gary has managed major faith and healthcare collaborations where he saw these causes in action. Dr. Somava Saha is a Baha'i, and has dedicated her career to intergenerational wellbeing. She's currently CEO of Wellbeing and Equity in the World, and her work has reached millions of lives. Through this conversation, recorded in cooperation with Interfaith America, you'll gain a deeper understanding of how to tap into the power and resourcefulness that exist in the communities you serve -- and how you can work towards being a better ancestor. Your Health Journey Shouldn't Feel Like a Dead End. After years of struggling with her own health, and finding little to no real answer, our founder, Alenka, made a life-changing decision: she would stop waiting and start searching. She dove deep into research. She explored countless treatments, therapies, and healing modalities. Some helped. Some didn't, at least not at the right time. But through that journey, she uncovered two powerful truths: 1. Finding the right help shouldn't depend on "who you know." Too many people are left stuck, overwhelmed, and without direction simply because they don't have access to the right connections. 2. The best healers aren't always the most visible. There are incredible, passionate holistic providers who truly care, but many didn't enter this field to master marketing, social media, or business systems. As a result, they remain hidden from the very people who need them most. And that's where everything changed. ✨ That's how SAHA was born. A bridge between people searching for answers and the experts who can help them find them. Using our custom matchmaking system, we connect you with trusted, aligned health professionals, so you can stop guessing and start healing. SAHA is built to: Meet you exactly where you are in your journey Support those who feel like they've "tried everything" Empower you to take control of your health with confidence Because the right support can change everything. And your healing journey deserves the right connection. https://sahacollective.com/

We return to the podcast circuit in 2026 to examine Scott Galloway: NYU professor, prolific podcaster, and, more recently, part-time life coach for struggling young men.Joining him on an episode of Modern Wisdom with Chris Williamson, we are invited into one of the few remaining forbidden conversational spaces: men, masculinity, and men's problems. You may have been misled by the relentless popularity of Joe Rogan, Modern Wisdom, The Tucker Carlson Show, Triggernometry, The Diary of a CEO, Huberman Lab, and several dozen adjacent properties into thinking these topics are already discussed at length on a near-weekly basis. Alas, this turns out to be a dangerous illusion. In reality, even mentioning men's issues requires an extended ritual acknowledgement of women, failure to perform which risks immediate cancellation. Braving these cultural headwinds, we wade into manly dialogue about masculinity, sex differences, and male malaise. Along the way, we ponder the intricacies of culture war evolutionary psychology, anthropological wars over Man the Hunter, optimised dosages for manly whingeing, and whether making boys learn French verb conjugations qualifies as a human rights abuse. So get your notebooks ready for some important notes from two of the most masculine men in the modern male podcasting space. Today on Perspectives, we're talking about the future of healthcare and what it means to be a better ancestor. A special article in the New England Journal of Medicine Catalyst introduces the Better Ancestor Framework—a bold new approach to transforming a healthcare system that too often has been shaped by structural racism, and instead reimagining one rooted in healing, trust, and justice for all. The article's three authors driving this work are Dr. Somava Saha, Executive Director of WE in the World, Kellie Easton, President and CEO of Action4Equity, and Kenneth Reid, Chief Operating Officer at Action4Equity. My guest on the show today is Dr. Saha. Together, they're asking a powerful question: What kind of healthcare system do we want to leave behind for future generations? During this conversation, we'll explore their new Better Ancestor Framework, the cultural wisdom that inspired it, and how it's already helping communities across the country build a fairer, more humane healthcare system.

What if managing databases on Kubernetes didn't require a team of specialists or endless configuration? In this episode of Tech Talks Daily, I sit down with Tamal Saha, founder and CEO of AppsCode, to explore how his team is building a more intuitive, scalable, and enterprise-ready approach to Kubernetes-native data management. Recorded during the IT Press Tour in London, this conversation traces Tamal's journey from Bangladesh to Google, and ultimately to launching AppsCode in 2016. He shares how early experiences with Google's internal systems helped shape his vision for a cloud-native data platform built for modern application environments. What began as an open-source passion project has evolved into a comprehensive enterprise suite that includes solutions like KubeDB, Stash, Voyager, and KubeVault. We discuss the operational realities of managing databases in Kubernetes—from simplifying provisioning and backups to solving problems around TLS management, multi-tenancy, and even secret rotation. Tamal outlines the benefits of a Kubernetes-native architecture for platform engineers, DevOps teams, and developers who want to deploy faster, automate more, and keep full control over their environments. With real-world insights from enterprise deployments, including large-scale telcos modernizing their infrastructure, Tamal explains how AppsCode is helping organizations move from ticket-based database provisioning to true self-service. He also looks ahead to what's coming next, including support for vector databases, AI-powered provisioning interfaces, and deeper integrations with open telemetry and observability tools. Whether you're running stateful workloads in Kubernetes today or exploring how to modernize your data layer, this episode is packed with insight into building platforms that work with developers, not against them. So, is it time to rethink your approach to data in the cloud-native era? Let me know what you think.
