When Os Alvarez speaks of the newfound emotional intimacy he now knows in his relationships and the power of living from his heart, you can feel the depth of his heart as he speaks. Os had a profoundly life-changing experience at the Hoffman Process in 2019. As he saw the effect that his childhood patterns had on his childhood and adult life, he came to find great compassion for the beauty of the child that still lives within him. Os now brings the power of this intimacy to his work as a personal and business strategist. The son of a prominent Venezuelan politician whose name he was given, Os shares stories of the difficulties he experienced growing up in this environment. While his family was very loving and supportive, life was challenging growing up under these circumstances. As an adult, these patterns eventually caused what Os calls existential suffering. In 2014, Os divorced. In 2015, his best friend and business partner, a person he loved and was very close to, died from cancer. Before these events, he experienced a panic attack for the first time. But these two losses pushed Os to start on a journey. He began to meditate. He went to Costa Rica to try Ahyuasca. And then, he found the Hoffman Process. Os shares that during the weekend after the Process, he felt his heart fully open. But even more than this, the Process gave him a framework and tools to take into his life moving forward so he could continue the work to transform patterns and come to appreciate seeing his blind spots. If you ask Os what the most profound change is in his life now, it is his relationships - the people and the intimacy in them. He recently married again, and on that day he felt gratitude for these beautiful, emotionally intimate relationships. This podcast is about bringing the transformation we experienced during the Process into our lives so that this transformation can radiate into the greater world. Os' story is a beautiful example of Love's Everyday Radius. More about Os Alvarez: Os Alvarez is more than just a personal and business strategist; he's a companion on your journey to success and fulfillment. With a deep-seated commitment to helping founders and entrepreneurs flourish both in business and in life, Os brings a unique blend of authenticity and expertise to the table. His own transformative experience, transitioning from a scripted life fueled by ambition to one imbued with meaning and purpose, catalyzed by the loss of his closest friend, ignited a passion for guiding others toward their truest selves. The Business of Meetings – Episode 196 - Prepare to Unlock a Year of Unparalleled Success!  Would you like to learn a magic formula that will ensure you pave the year ahead with success? Eric shares a strategy today that will guarantee you stay on track for prosperity in the coming year. In today's episode, he explains how he organizes his time, sets his priorities, and, most significantly, holds himself accountable for the tasks he undertakes. Join us today to learn about Eric's game-changing formula, designed to sidestep all the pitfalls and pave the way for a truly successful and fulfilling year. Stay tuned for a conversation packed with insights and practical tips! Defining Your Ideal Week  To kickstart a successful year, begin by planning your ideal week. You can use tools like Excel or any other planning software to create a one-page overview of your week, from morning routines to business priorities and personal activities. Blocking out dedicated time for everything you have to do will ensure your week is balanced, purposeful, and aligned with your goals. Analyzing Time and Delegating Effectively  Next, you need to look at the critical aspect of time management. Eric suggests keeping a detailed record of all your daily activities for a few weeks and categorizing them into “do," "delegate," and "stop" columns. That will help you identify any areas that require improvement, let you delegate tasks efficiently, give you the time to focus on essential activities, and eliminate all the non-productive elements. Setting and Reviewing Goals To avoid setting and forgetting your yearly goals, Eric emphasizes the importance of doing regular reviews. Breaking down your long-term goals into quarterly milestones will ensure you stay aligned with your objectives. Adopting this approach will facilitate your smooth transition from yearly planning to monthly, weekly, and daily planning, making your goals more manageable and achievable. Time Blocking and Priority Reflection  It is essential to incorporate your goals into your calendar. All your commitments, whether personal or professional, should be scheduled to reflect your priorities accurately. The strategy of time blocking will ensure that crucial tasks are allocated the necessary attention and do not get lost in the hustle and bustle of your daily activities. Daily Planning  Reviewing your schedule for the upcoming week every Sunday will help you to facilitate your daily planning. You can also identify three crucial tasks each evening that will constitute a win for the next day when accomplished.  Accountability Eric emphasizes the importance of being accountable and explains that most successful individuals have a coach or an accountability partner. Checking in regularly with an accountability buddy will ensure you get the support and motivation you need to stay on track and achieve your goals. The roadmap to a successful year involves a strategic blend of weekly planning, effective time management, goal setting, time blocking, and daily accountability.  Eric's comprehensive approach will lead you to a more purposeful and fulfilling year. Personal Accountability for Sales Success Personal accountability plays a pivotal role in increasing sales. During a conference, Eric noticed a surprising need for more commitment among sales professionals toward dedicating just one hour daily for prospecting and client outreach. One hour per day equates to reaching out to approximately 800 people annually. Your calendar reflects your priorities, and by making this small and impactful commitment, you position yourself to expand your network and increase business significantly. It is a straightforward strategy, yet it often gets neglected. Implementing just one hour each day of focused effort will allow you a proactive stance in shaping your success and positively impacting your sales. Since then, he has often returned to the exercise and reflected on what he wrote during the retreat. A Comprehensive Approach to Shaping the Future of Your Business This exercise is a comprehensive yet straightforward approach to envisioning and shaping the future of your life and business. To make the process more practical, we have broken it down into five manageable steps and aimed it toward 2030: Start by identifying and categorizing the different areas of your life into seven different categories, like health, work, finances, fun, family, and personal development. Once you have defined those areas, rate your current standing within each area in terms of where you are today compared with where you would like to be in 2030, and then set goals for 2030. Create a visual representation, like a chart or graph, to further clarify your goals. Dedicate time to outlining three concrete actions you will take for each area within the next 12 months to propel yourself toward your 2030 goals. It could involve anything from lifestyle changes to professional development initiatives.  Make a list of questions based on how you want your life to be in 2030. Start by thinking about every area of your life, and then list a conclusive series of questions about all of those areas. The questions should cover where you want to live, your relationship aspirations, career achievements, legacy goals, and anything else you hope for. Take all the time you need to answer these questions. Choose a specific day or date in 2030 and describe it as a day in your life. Take all the time you need to vividly depict that day, incorporating all the details you gathered while answering the previous question. This part of the exercise may only take a few hours, or you may need multiple sessions to complete it. By approaching these five steps systematically, you can transform this seemingly overwhelming exercise into a practical and transformative tool for long-term planning. Remember, the key is to let the process unfold gradually. You may need to revisit the process from time to time, to refine your vision.  If you have any questions or need guidance, reach out to Eric. Dave Albin of Firewalk Adventures on Creating the Most Powerful Team/Life Changing Experiences Firewalkadventures.com Firewalking is an ancient ritual that has existed for thousands of years. Practiced by different people around the world, it has roots in many different cultures. The common thread that all firewalking rituals seem to share is that the firewalk itself demonstrates courage, faith and strength — the ability to stand up to one's fears and take on whatever challenges life sends forth. Firewalking is more than a single act undertaken on a single day of your life. It is the ultimate metaphor for mastering life's obstacles — and our wn insecurities and fears about them — through sheer force of will. It is a potent symbol of maximized human potential and of everything that is possible. About Dave Albin Dave is the #1 Firewalk Instructor in America. There's only one way to describe this week's episode: On fire. (Or “lit” for the millennials in the audience.)   We had the pleasure of sitting down with Dave Albin, America's #1 Firewalk Instructor. With an impressive 19+ year tenure working alongside the legendary Tony Robbins, Dave's expertise in firewalking is unrivaled. In 2014, he took the plunge and founded Firewalk Productions, igniting the lives of hundreds of thousands of individuals.   But Dave's path to success was paved with darkness and turmoil. In a haunting moment on June 8th, 1988, he found himself at the brink of desperation, pointing a gun at his own head in an attempt to escape the agonizing grip of drug and alcohol addiction.   Fast forward to 2023, and Dave is celebrating an incredible milestone—35 years of sobriety. Join us as we explore the harrowing journey that led him to this moment of triumph.   Dave's list of clients reads like a who's who of major organizations: Google, NASA, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, Heineken, RE/MAX, Entrepreneurs Organization (EO), Chick-fil-A, CRISP Video, Mystery Hill, Y.M.C.A., Replace Your University, Tony Robbins, T. Harv Eker, The Four Seasons, The Omni Hotel, The Waldorf Astoria, Waikoloa Hotel, and many more.    If the idea of firewalking terrifies you, baffles you, or makes you wonder what the hell those people are thinking - give this episode a listen for a truly eye-opening look at the process and how it's a bonding experience like no other.    And if you're a business owner seeking a new or unconventional way to bring your team together (because we all know teams excel when they get along), Dave is holding a Firewalk Academy from October 3, 2023 - October 7, 2023.
