Learning can be a great gift, and unlearning can be an even greater gift; transformational and freeing. "Recognize that unlearning is the highest form of learning.” Rumi. Why do we feel we need to keep filling ourselves with information? Why do we need so much learning? When we take away the unneeded learning, we become closer to who we are and access our source. Let's begin to ask ourselves, where did I learn this, or from whom did I learn this? Let's discover what we need to unlearn, and explore how we can begin to unlearn what we don't need. Exploring our unlearning can enable us to feel free, joyous, and more peaceful. Let's ask ourselves, when we are learning something, is this making us feel light, compassionated easily, or frustrated, angry, and uneasy? Then we know it's probably something we don't need to learn. Let's explore unlearning.

In this episode of Kitchen Table Theology, Tiffany Coker and Pastor Jeff Cranston explore the biblical figure of Melchizedek and his relation to Jesus Christ. Melchizedek means "king of righteousness" and is mentioned in Genesis and Psalms. They discuss why Abraham gave a tithe to Melchizedek and how David mentions him as a type of Christ in Psalm 1:10. They also talk about Christophanies and Theophanies, appearances of Christ or God respectively. Finally, they dive into the concept of prayer in relation to determinism and fatalism. This conversation provides an insightful look into Melchizedek's relationship to Jesus and God's plan for our lives.[00:00 - 07:00] Unveiling the Enigma of Melchizedek and JesusThe Necessity of True Knowledge of God to Eradicate Error: Insights from John CalvinDeciphering the Identity of Melchizedek: Adam's QuestionThe Majesty of Melchizedek: A King, Priest, and "King of Righteousness"Acknowledging Melchizedek's Superiority: Abraham's TitheMelchizedek as a Foreshadow of Christ: Unpacking David's Messianic Psalm [07:01- 14:00] Was Jesus Pre-Incarnate as Melchizedek?Jesus is present in the Old TestamentMelchizedek might be Jesus Christ pre-incarnateHebrews 6:20 supports that Jesus became a high priest forever in the order of MelchizedekHebrews 7:3 describes Melchizedek as without beginning or end, resembling the Son of God [14:01 - 26:42] Closing Segment God predetermines all events, but it's not fatalisticOur choices and prayers impact the futureFaith-fueled prayers elicit God's responseGod includes us in His work and purpose Quotes: “Error can never be eradicated from the heart of man until true knowledge of God has been implanted in it.” - John Calvin Join the Conversation We love your feedback! "Beneficial knowledge is the one whose ray of light expands in the breast and uncovers the veil over the heart". HIKAM 231 The lecture discusses what beneficial knowledge (ilm nafi') is, something which the Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) himself supplicated for and how one can acquire the sweetness of faith through it.

The knowledge of Truth is not new, it is to be discovered, studied and embraced by the student. There is a reason such knowledge is occulted (hidden). Because it is powerful. Anything that is positioned as "new" and "entertaining" is designed to distract you and keep you on the hamster wheel of mental slavery. It is propaganda, designed to mass control, as anything that is popular, is almost certainly not true. Whilst you are engaged in drama, the service-to-self beings keep the power differential as they are actually in the know. They then have you arguing, complaining & fighting between eachother about what matters not, whilst only the few know and understand what matters most. Remove the distractions from your life, unfollow, stop religiously watching & listening to "entertaining news" for 7 days... notice the impact in your state of consciousness and subsequently how you feel on a daily basis, what you focus on and the choices you make. You need not believe me, simply try it for yourself. Remember when you're being "entertained", you're the one being laughed at, because the joke is on you. Study true esoteric wisdom, learn the laws of the cosmos & live them. If you are ready to take personal responsibility & not be manipulated by the evil beings of this world anymore, then watch my 1hr masterclass on self mastery through inner alchemy. Instead of watching a TV show, go & watch the masterclass, take notes, implement the learnings. Perhaps share it with a friend & go through it together. Support one another's conscious growth. You only have your True Self to gain, that is worth everything. ► Masterclass ON: Self Mastery Through Inner Alchemy ► Now LIVE and available :: Awakening The Leader Within ► Ignite your purpose today and embrace a more fulfilling state of being: Ignite your life purpose course ► Support Melisa's efforts in providing free, accessible, educational content to the world by donating here. ► Conscious living & wellbeing course: Conscious living starter skillkit course It's always the right time to start livin from within

What Is True Knowledge - Mufti Yusuf Moosagie by Radio Islam
Ramana's words: "True Knowledge is that by which one knows the Self." Commentary by Richard Clarke. Discourse by Nome, "Absolute Knowledge."
The simple truth we already know but don't see, is we habitually overlay our direct experience of reality with thoughts, beliefs, values, and opinions. There are two types of knowledge. Intellectual conceptual understanding and direct experience. We use our thoughts, beliefs, values, and opinions to create a conceptual reality rather than the truth of the moment; direct experience. We pile our thoughts, beliefs, values and opinions into our conceptual frame, not recognising the consequences of what we're doing; causing stress, anxiety and overwhelm. True Knowledge is seeing this moment as it is. Not as we think it is.

Well, I suppose I've got a story or two left in these old bones. And hell, since it is another one about Marielda, why not make one about stories and the people who tell ‘em. Now I know what you might be thinking: Physicality alive, in the era that The Six operated in Marielda, it was knowledge which was forbidden, turned into contraband and currency both, not stories. But as anyone ever wounded by art can tell you, fiction is a sharper knife than information could be. And living fiction, played out in front of your eyes and ears? Very few things are as well honed as that. And so it was that Samothes, ever jealous and increasingly suspicious that his erstwhile beau might conquer his capital with culture instead cudgel, all but forbade the theater. Of course, any scoundrel worth their shadow would narrow in on those two words preceding “forbade”: “All but. “ There were two exceptions to the rule banning theater. The first was liturgical drama, approved by the Blessed Council and performed in the True Church of Samothes on the Day of High Sun and other feasts. Between us, these were boring. They might serve academic value to someone of today's New Archives, and I suppose for the true believer of that old era, seeing even the most sanitized depiction of their King-God, Artificer Divine would make their day. But most folks, they wanted something a little less sacramental. Which is where the second exception comes in. Once a season, as an act of supposed Good Will, the Preceptors of the Font of True Knowledge—the Fontmen—opened the gates of their domain and put on a grand show. A day of comedy and tragedy in the Font Theater—the leash let slack so that the next time those censors pulled on it, they could claim it was done in good faith. What does any of this have to do with the Six. Well, nothin, until those out-a-towners with mysterious pasts and glorious masks showed up, claiming they had a spot on the stage and job for Hitchcock, Castille, and the rest. Help those actors steal their names back. Hello everyone!! Here is our livestream marathon finale game, a return to Marielda playing Scene Thieves! We begin the 2022-23 school year with Opening Chapel. This year, Michael Hite celebrates his 20th year on staff with the school and brought the lesson entitled “True Knowledge.”
Reading 1 Samuel 12:1-25 (NLT) ~ Scripture reading followed by discussion. Samuel gives the people a brief history of Israel's history showing them the pattern of rescue and abandonment. It's hard to see the chosen people say to Samuel, “pray to your God”. The faith journey of making God your own. Throughout the Old Testament we see a call to remember. God comes when they are oppressed and afraid, but when they were afraid of Nahash they called out for a king instead of calling on their God and King to rescue them. The Israelites abandoned God and in the state of fear they feel the LORD has abandoned them. The LORD will not abandon His people. Proverbs 1:7. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of true knowledge, which is what we were after in the garden when we ate the fruit.

Welcome to Day 1954 of our Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me. This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom True Knowledge – Daily Wisdom Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1954 of our Trek, and it's time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote and some wise words from Gramps for today's trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. So we are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today's trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16&version=NLT (Proverbs 16:16) How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let's jump right in with today's nugget: Today's quote is from John Calvin, and it is: All true knowledge of God is born out of obedience. True Knowledge I believe an innate desire of most people is to know God, even if they don't acknowledge Him as the creator of all things. No matter who we are or our background, we desire to understand why we are here on earth and our purpose in life. Knowledge outside of our obedience to God will always leave us wanting. The primary way we know what obedience to God consists of is to study and learn His Word. We are so blessed in the world today, where we have dozens of different versions available in nearly every language on earth at a price that is affordable to nearly everyone. Electronic versions of the Bible are free, and many organizations worldwide distribute part or all of the Bible for free. True knowledge is born out of our obedience to God. Obedience to God is learned through reading and learning from His Word. There is no excuse for anyone who seeks to know. https://www.bible.com/bible/116/psa.119.11 (Psalms 119:11) I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. As you ponder this nugget of wisdom for yourself, please encourage your friends and family to join us and come along tomorrow for another day of ‘Wisdom-Trek, Creating a Legacy.' If you would like to listen to any of our past 1953 treks or read the Wisdom Journal, they are available at Wisdom-Trek.com. In addition, I encourage you to subscribe to Wisdom-Trek on your favorite podcast player to download each day's trek automatically. Finally, if you would like to receive our weekly newsletter,' Wisdom Notes,' please email me at email@example.com. Thank you so much for allowing me to be your guide, mentor, and, most importantly, your friend as I serve you through this Wisdom-Trek podcast and journal. As we take this trek together, let us always: Live Abundantly (Fully) Love Unconditionally Listen Intentionally Learn Continuously Lend to others Generously Lead with Integrity Leave a Living Legacy Each Day I am Guthrie Chamberlain….reminding you to 'Keep Moving Forward,' ‘Enjoy your Journey,' and ‘Create a Great Day…Everyday'! See you next time for more daily wisdom!

Welcome back to the Sutta Meditation Series Podcast. Following on from the sessions looking at "117 Why associating with good people (sappurisa) is so important on the Noble Eightfold Path" and "118 Developing the Buddha's qualities of a good person" and, "142 The Importance of Hearing True Dhamma", we now examine "ESTABLISHING UNWAVERING CONVICTION". This talk is part of our examination of the Avijjā Sutta (AN 10.61). Instead of ignorance, we want to cultivate and develop to fulfillment True Knowledge and Liberation (vijjāvimutti). The intention is to look at a few different parts of this insight pathway (which has all the main teachings of the Buddha to develop the Noble Eightfold Path and realise Nibbana) before pulling it all together to explain how to meditate on the full insight pathway. This Dhamma Talk builds on top of what we've previously examined about conviction (saddhā), as one of the good qualities in the Sekha-patipada Sutta (Podcast #30 - https://bit.ly/3ojN1Ml) In this session we: — revisit the insight pathway leading to True Knowledge and Liberation (vijjāvimutti) — distinguish between Lack of Conviction (assaddhā) vs Conviction (saddhā) — examine the very important relationship between Right View (sammādiṭṭhi), Wisdom (paññā) and Conviction (saddhā) and we can use this to establish firmer conviction — tie in a number of suttas we have previously studied that emphasis the importance of how Conviction aids the development of the Noble Eightfold Path (power of faith converts to spiritual faculty) — reference the Story of MahaKala Thera (Podcast #86 - https://bit.ly/3CWqWYn) — look at the manifestation of Conviction (characteristics) Most of the suttas that are directly or indirectly referred to in this session: — Sekha-patipada Sutta (MN 53) — Dhātuvibhaṅga Sutta (MN 140) — Upanisa Sutta (SN 12.23) — Nagaropama Sutta (AN 7.67) — Tayodhamma Sutta (AN 10.76) — Mahakalatthera Vatthu (Dhp 7-8) — Kimila Sutta (AN 7.59) — Saddhammappatirūpaka Sutta (SN 16.13) — Subhūti Sutta (AN 11.14) — Āvaraṇa Sutta (AN 6.86) — Voropita Sutta (AN 6.87) — Sussūsati Sutta (AN 6.88) To read the Avijjā Sutta (AN 10.61) - https://suttacentral.net/an10.61/en/bodhi A VIDEO of this segment has been published to the Sutta Meditation Series YouTube Channel - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1qwE_SLK40 AND on Spotify as a video podcast Blessings of the Triple Gem. Welcome back to the Sutta Meditation Series Podcast. Following on from the sessions looking at "117 Why associating with good people (sappurisa) is so important on the Noble Eightfold Path" and "118 Developing the Buddha's qualities of a good person", we now examine "THE IMPORTANCE OF HEARING TRUE DHAMMA". What is particularly important, from an ariya perspective (supramundane right view), is hearing True Dhamma and knowing the distinction between "what is false, which has a deceptive nature; and what is true which has an undeceptive nature, is Nibbāna" - Dhātuvibhaṅga Sutta (MN 140) This talk is part of our examination of the Avijjā Sutta (AN 10.61). In this session we: — try to define True Dhamma (saddhamma) — contrast True Dhamma with Wrong Dhamma (asaddhamma) — review some suttas highlighting the Buddha's references to True Dhamma and it's significance — remind ourselves what leads to the decline and disappearance of True Dhamma — explore what prevents us from penetrating the truth despite listening to True Dhamma, and what we need to abandon to remove those blocks. Most of the suttas that are directly or indirectly referred to in this session: — Dhātuvibhaṅga Sutta (MN 140) — Mahāvedalla Sutta (MN 43) — Aññatarapurisa Vatthu (Dhp 60) — Sabbhi Sutta (SN 1.31) — Vuṭṭhi Sutta (SN 1.74) — Sīlasampanna Sutta (Iti 104) — Tayodhamma Sutta (AN 10.76) — Punabbasu Sutta (SN 10.7) — Erakapattanagaraja Vatthu (Dhp 182) — Kimila Sutta (AN 7.59) — Saddhammappatirūpaka Sutta (SN 16.13) — Sammattaniyāma Suttas (AN 5.151-153) — Āvaraṇa Sutta (AN 6.86) — Voropita Sutta (AN 6.87) — Sussūsati Sutta (AN 6.88) To read the Avijjā Sutta (AN 10.61) - https://suttacentral.net/an10.61/en/bodhi A VIDEO of this segment has been published to the Sutta Meditation Series YouTube Channel - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDFPrYLMRec AND on Spotify as a video podcast Blessings of the Triple Gem. About William Tunstall-Pedoe William Tunstall-Pedoe is a British entrepreneur focused on Artificial Intelligence and other deep technology. He is based in Cambridge, UK and London but also frequently in Toronto and both coasts of the US. (LinkedIn) His biggest recent achievement was founding the British company Evi (formerly True Knowledge) in 2005. After seven years running the business as a venture capital backed start-up, Amazon acquired it in 2012 and its AI technology, platform and team were used to create Alexa. For more than three years he had a senior role in the team that defined, built and launched Amazon Alexa and the Amazon Echo product (the initial Alexa device). Evi is now a subsidiary of Amazon and a large development centre employing many hundreds of scientists and engineers. After a decade since founding the company and with everything he hoped to achieve delivered successfully, he made the difficult decision to leave Amazon in February 2016. William now spends much of his time helping and investing in other AI startups. He has personally invested in more than 60 such businesses (see his angellistprofile.) . He is a full member of Cambridge Angels and a fellow of the Creative Destruction Lab in Toronto. He is also thinking gently about what to do next – which will likely be founding another AI-based startup. Produced by Mark Cotton, Twitter.
