I can report that the A8 is excellent for all of these on its clear and bright 10.5" LCD screen. Audio quality is very good on its four Dolby Atmos speakers. There's no booming bass but it's definitely loud enough when watching music and concert videos and there's a 3.5mm jack. Battery is pretty decent, 7040mAh. I could go a whole week with light use. 64GB I've filled already but there is an SD card slot. My gaming is mostly puzzles so I'm not pushing the graphics capabilities of its Unisoc Tiger T618 (12nm) Octa-core processor. Build quality has proved to be good so far. It's been in a folding case since day one. But even naked, its 508g 6.9 mm thick body feels very sturdy in the hand. The back does warm up a bit during a long video viewing session but no real problem. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and at under £170. I would highly recommend this tablet for everyday use. You're getting a whole lot of tablet for a budget price. Tech Addicts Review ------------------ Xerxes Hodivala on Samsung Store at Kings Cross It's a beautiful space with all their current products on display. I had to get my Fold 4 repaired under warranty. The S-Pen digitiser had failed on each side of the crease. They are going to replace the digitiser, inner screen, metal frame, hinge and both batteries as part of the service. It will basically be a new device when I get it back. The experience was first rate, as good as customer service at an Apple Store. This was actually the reason why I decided on a Samsung rather than a Pixel or OnePlus for my first folding device. I wanted something that I could take to a physical shop for repair if needed. Microsoft announces Windows 11  The biggest change - the start menu and task bar has been redesigned and centered making it look a lot more like macOS. Microsoft has really leaned into the one operating system for both laptops and tablets and the centered start menu makes it easier to adapt to various screen sizes. It also brings search front and center with results available from your device, your OneDrive and the web. Windows Widgets are just a swipe away with real time information and quick actions.  There are changes for power users too: There is now support for multiple desktops - so you could have one for work vs home There are better transitions when you connect a monitor that's a different ratio, or using a second monitor. You can now snap windows to a layout to make it easier to bounce between apps.  Microsoft Teams is directly integrated with the operating system replacing Skype for calling and connecting with your friends and family.  Android apps can also load on Windows 11 through the Windows App store. That's huge for developers who suddenly got access to a massive market.   It's expected current Windows 10 users will get a free upgrade to Windows 11 before the end of the year, and new devices installed with Windows 11 will be available from October.  The Tamagotchi is making a return  This time, your digital pet will live on your wrist as a smart watch! You'll never need to leave it behind! It's getting some other improvements since it was released 25 years ago - like a color screen, a touch screen so you can pet it, voice recognition so you can interact and wireless connectivity so it can communicate with nearby Tamogotchi! You'll be able to buy addons for it too which you load into your watch via mini keys. They're expecting it to be so popular it'll first go on sale via a lottery system before being opened up to regular sales. LISTEN ABOVE

5 Overlooked Opportunities To Grow Your Design Business - RD103

Resourceful Designer

Play Episode Listen Later Jan 11, 2018 24:34

Are you looking for opportunities to grow your business? [sc name="pod_ad"]It's a given, you want your design business to succeed. To accomplish that, you need to find opportunities to grow. Some of those opportunities take time and money and are well worth the effort. But some opportunities to grow are so small and simple that they are often overlooked. On this episode of the podcast, I share five such opportunities you can implement today to help grow your design business. Be sure to listen to the podcast for the full story, but here's a sample of what I discussed. 5 Overlooked Opportunities To Grow Your Design Business 1) Your Email Signature Most people's email signature consists of their name, title, perhaps their business name and contact information. If this sounds like your email signature, you are missing out on an opportunity to grow your design business. Include a short sentence or a bullet list mentioning the services you offer. Be specific. Go beyond simple print and web design and mentions things like trade show displays, T-shirt designs, Facebook and Google Ads, vehicle wraps, signage and anything else you may offer. You never know when someone might see it and think "I didn't know they did that. I should contact them about it". 2) Your About Page The About Page on a website is something many people get wrong. Don't be one of them. An About Page is not there for people to learn about you, it's there to help people decide if you are someone they want to work with on their next project. If your about page isn't formatted correctly, you are missing out on a HUGE opportunity to grow your business. To learn more about the proper way to construct an about page listen to episode 52 of the podcast titled How A Great About Page Can Attract Design Clients. 3) The Back Of Your Business Cards Why do people leave the back of their business cards blank? It's such a waste of valuable real estate and a lost opportunity to help grow their business. Face it, most of your clients don't know what you do for a living. They hired you for one thing, and as far as they know, that's the only thing you do. The back of your business card should be used to list your services so naive clients can see everything you offer and perhaps give you more work. Whenever you hand out a business card, make sure you mention your list of services on the back. You never know who will end up with one of your cards and contact you because of a service you list on your card. Don't miss out on this opportunity to grow your business.  4) Your Social Media Profiles Just like your email signature and the back of your business cards, you are missing a huge opportunity if you don't list your services on your social media profiles. Every social media platform allows you to write a description of yourself. Simply saying you are a graphic and/or web designer isn't good enough because it doesn't mean anything to a lot of people. Use this space to list your services. Your social media posts should speak for themselves. But if the person viewing them wants to know more about you, don't make them jump through hoops. A link to your website or portfolio is a must in your profile but listing your services is an even better way to attract people's attention. Many designers find new clients via social media so don't neglect this opportunity to grow your business. 5) Your Out Of Office Reply A typical out of office reply looks something like this; Hi, thank you for your message. I’m out of the office and will not be replying to emails until my return. If a reply is required I will get back to you the week of [week of return] Thanks, If this is the type of out of office reply you are using you are missing out on a huge opportunity to grow your business. Use this space to interact with the person emailing you and start a conversation you can continue upon your return. Something like this; Hi, thank you for your message. I can’t wait to talk to you about ways to improve your website’s search engine rankings. Unfortunately I’m out of the office right now and won’t be replying to emails until my return. I’m back the week of [week of return] and I’ll get back to you then and we can discuss your website or anything else you want to talk about. Google recently launched a personalized news feed on the company's flagship app, and it will soon rollout to browser versions of google.com. The update is a huge deal for a couple of reasons: First, it will be the most radical change to Google's famously simple home page since 1996, or at least since the its big push behind Google+, which began in 2011 an has since been deemed a failure. It also positions Google to compete directly with the Facebook News Feed, which generally provides the same type of information like sports scores, viral videos, and news. Time is running out for Microsoft Paint. The venerable application that started its life 32 years ago as a monochrome, bitmap Windows 1.0 drawing program is on Microsoft's "Deprecated" list. In an official Microsoft list of "Features that are removed or deprecated in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, first spotted by The Guardian, Microsoft Paint is on the deprecated list. Microsoft defines "deprecated" as "might be removed from future releases." News that Microsoft is moving on from Paint is not surprising. Microsoft demoted the long-time Windows App earlier this year when it released 3D Paint in the Windows 10 Creators Update, which rolled out to users earlier this year.

Another road game, another NFC East rival, and another loss for the Eagles. This has become a real issue, and this loss to the New York Giants takes the Eagles to 4-4 on the season, and a dismal 0-3 in the Division. The main thing people have had an issue with in this loss is coach Doug Pederson’s two attempts at going for it on fourth down, when the Eagles were within field goal range for both. They failed on both attempts, and thus leaving six points on the field. Ultimately the Birds lost by five, so we see how those fourth downs affected us. The other side of that coin was that coach Pederson’s approach to the Offense was much more aggressive, and something Eagles fans have been wanting. We saw Carson Wentz going further down field with attempts, sometimes with great results, and other times with inaccurate passes (including two very early interceptions which allowed two quick scores by the Giants), or our receivers dropping passes. The latter has been an issue all season, and we are not seeing improvements at the halfway point. This week the Eagles are home, and the Atlanta Falcons are on the docket. On paper, this appears to be a close game, with a valid chance the Eagles could come out on top. Either way, our rookie quarterback, and rookie coach, continue to develop, with the expectations of improvement. — Help support our show - Support us through Patreon No-Wet USA, Eco-friendly Car Care:  NoWetUSA.com – Enter the coupon code EFC at checkout and get a 10% discount! — Get in touch now, and often: Voicemail Line: 1 (856) 335-3675 Twitter: @EaglesFanCast, Todd – @tradonks and Chuck – @chuckst Facebook: facebook.com/EaglesFanCast Google+: EaglesFanCast Email: fans [at] EaglesFanCast.net Support EFC – get our iPhone App, Android App or Windows App

The Philadelphia Eagles traveled down to Dallas to fight the Cowboys for first place in the NFC East. After some questionable play calling and dropped passes, the Eagles give up a ten point lead in the fourth quarter and end regulation in a tie. Unfortunately for the Eagles, overtime was all Cowboys, as they drove down the field and scored a touchdown to win the game, 29-23. It was most likely a very long trip home for the Eagles, but these are some of the mistakes we expected to make this season before it started, plus on paper the Cowboys were the superior team… and we still almost won the game. Overall another division loss hurts, but the Eagles fought hard, and if it wasn’t for some crucial dropped passes and another turnover on a fumble (this time by Wendell Smallwood), the outcome would have been different. We also discuss receiver / special teams player Josh Huff, who was arrested on Tuesday and charged with several things, including speeding, possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of a handgun, and DUI. He was arrested on the New Jersey side of a bridge to Pennsylvania, and NJ is rather tough with gun carry laws. This week the Eagles have another road game against an NFC East Division rival, the New York Giants, so there is no rest for this troubled team at this point in the season. After a very tough loss to the Redskins the week before, the undefeated Minnesota Vikings and former Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford come to Philadelphia. This game started slow and ugly at times, but ultimately, the Eagles Defense were all over Bradford all day, sacking him six times, causing two fumbles, and an interception. Bradford was hit many times in this game, and it really got into his head early, and often. The Eagles Defense was the star of the game, for sure, although there was a kickoff return for 98 yards for a TD from Josh Huff, and that also kind of shined. Eagles QB Carson Wentz struggled in this game, throwing for two interceptions on the day, but continued to mature in our eyes, having the continued confidence in some tough situations on the day, despite some fumbled snaps and miscues. He’s a rookie learning the NFL, one week at a time. The Eagles are also in the rumor mill this week with trade rumors involving Torrey Smith, as well as Alshon Jeffery. As of the time of this recording, it’s still rumors. But let us not forget, it is Cowboy Week in Philly. The Eagles will meet the Dallas Cowboys for the first time this season, down in Texas. As we all know, the Cowboys have been playing exceptional football with rookie QB Dak Prescott who has been playing great with no interceptions on the season, so far. By the way, Tommy Lawlor sits in with us this week, and we question the hell out of him regarding the trade rumors, the good and bad of the rumors that have been flying around regarding DeSean Jackson. — No-Wet USA, Eco-friendly Car Care:  NoWetUSA.com – Enter the coupon code EFC at checkout and get a 10% discount! — Links: Tommy Lawlor on PhiladelphiaEagles.com, and Iggles Blitz — Here’s the way to our hearts: Voicemail Line: 1 (856) 335-3675 Twitter: @EaglesFanCast, Todd – @tradonks and Chuck – @chuckst Facebook: facebook.com/EaglesFanCast Google+: EaglesFanCast Email: fans [at] EaglesFanCast.net Support EFC – get our iPhone App, Android App or Windows App

This one hurts more. The Eagles lose their second game, this one to NFC East rival Washington Redskins. The arguments before the season started that positional depth might be a factor as the season progresses and injuries become a factor seems to have been proven true. At least in the right tackle position vacated by the now-suspended Lane Johnson. Johnson’s replacement, rookie tackle Halapoulivaati Vaitai (ok, let’s just go with Big V) struggled in his first start, and the Redskins took advantage of him, putting way more pressure on Carson Wentz than he was used to. Eagles also used three tight ends to help Big V at times, which resulted in a more limited offensive threat. The Birds were kept out of the end zone on offense, and the Eagles Defense allowed three scores by Skins QB Kirk Cousins. The Eagles did get two touchdowns in exciting style, the first on a kickoff return for a TD by Wendell Smallwood, then on the following Redskins series Malcolm Jenkins intercepted Cousins and ran it back 64 yards for another TD. Although those two scores tied the game back up at 14 apiece, ironically it also allowed the tired Eagles Defense to be on the field for almost the entire second quarter. Both sides of this team were not clicking Sunday, and now the Eagles are 3-2 on the season, with the unbeaten Minnesota Vikings coming into Lincoln Financial Field this week… beyond that, the schedule does not get any easier. We were excited to once again have Steve Brown on with us to chat and talk about his upcoming trip to Philly for the Vikings game. — No-Wet USA, Eco-friendly Car Care:  NoWetUSA.com – Enter the coupon code EFC at checkout and get a 10% discount! — Here’s the way to our hearts: Voicemail Line: 1 (856) 335-3675 Twitter: @EaglesFanCast, Todd – @tradonks and Chuck – @chuckst Facebook: facebook.com/EaglesFanCast Google+: EaglesFanCast Email: fans [at] EaglesFanCast.net Support EFC – get our iPhone App, Android App or Windows App

The first loss of the season comes at the hands of the Detroit Lions, a Ryan Mathews fumble, a Carson Wentz interception (his first of the year), a flat Eagles Defense to start the game, and poor officiating. With all of that listed, we are not especially bummed about this loss. Disappointed, yes, but the loss does not taste that bad. The Eagles went in the hole quickly in the first quarter by two touchdowns, but adjusted, dug in, and came back and eventually took the lead in the fourth quarter. This was a huge test for both the rookie quarterback, and rookie head coach Doug Pederson, as they showed they could lead the Birds back. This is a positive thing moving forward as the Eagles have their first divisional game against the Washington Redskins this next week on the road, and then the games get much more challenging moving forward from there. This game was one they could have won. They didn’t. But it was yet another learning experience in a long road that us Eagles fans hope will lead us back to the playoffs again, if not this year, then next. Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson’s 10-game suspension was upheld today, for PED use. It is not surprising, but it is a big loss, and will make the Eagles protection of both Wentz and the running game that much more tough in the weeks ahead. — No-Wet USA, Eco-friendly Car Care:  NoWetUSA.com – Enter the coupon code EFC at checkout and get a 10% discount! — Call the Wentzylvania Suburbs: Voicemail Line: 1 (856) 335-3675 Twitter: @EaglesFanCast, Todd – @tradonks and Chuck – @chuckst Facebook: facebook.com/EaglesFanCast Google+: EaglesFanCast Email: fans [at] EaglesFanCast.net Support EFC – get our iPhone App, Android App or Windows App

The battle of Pennsylvania occurred Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field, and the ultimate outcome was Wentzylvania! The Pittsburgh Steelers had a very long ride home on the Wentzylvania Turnpike after being crushed by the Philadelphia Eagles 34-3. The Steelers came into Philly riding high in week three, considered by many to be one of the best teams in the NFL. The Eagles, on the other hand, had solid plans of their own under the remarkable coaching of Doug Pederson, who orchestrated and Offensive scheme that allowed rookie quarterback Carson Wentz to completely command how to attack the Steelers defense, and keep them completely guessing as to what was going to happen next. It was an amazing day, and solidifies this Eagles team as a contender in not only the NFC East, but now the NFC Conference as well. On the defensive side of the ball, the Eagles only allowed the Steelers a field goal on the day. Think about that for a second. The mighty Ben Roethlisberger was denied a touchdown. Their backs, lacking injured Le’Veon Bell, were also blanked. Eagles Defensive Coordinator Jim Schwartz had a plan for everything in this game, and the Eagles players executed amazingly. Next the Eagles rest with a BYE week, and we will surely miss seeing them on the field at this point. The Eagles go to Chi-town, the windy city, Chicago for the national stage of Monday Night Football, to take on Jay Cutler and the Bears. It is the first big audience for Carson Wentz for his NFL rookie season. Wentz handled the Offense again like a veteran player, and not like a rookie at all. He was very exciting to see, again, with the confidence to find receivers, scramble when needed, and take the shot down the field. Philadelphia won 29-14, on the road, on Monday Night. Impressive even though Chicago is not one of the superpowers in the NFL at this point. The Eagles offensive line protected Wentz, and there was decent blocking for the run game as well. A few in-the-hands drops by receivers (I’m looking at you, Agholor) were really frustrating to see, but overall the scheme on Offense was a very good one, and kept the Bears Defense on their heels, with Wentz passing to seven different players. On Defense, they were very strong, holding the Bears to only 64 rushing yards, but 220 passing yards, along with a couple of sacks, an interception, and two fumbles recovered. This week is the real test, with the Pittsburgh Steelers coming into Lincoln Financial Field Sunday afternoon. Pittsburgh is considered one of the best teams in the league after two weeks in. We will see how Wentz handles a true Defense, and how our Defense handles Ben Roethlisberger and all of his weapons. The future for the Eagles looks bright, my friends. The new Philadelphia Eagles make their debut hosting the Cleveland Browns, with new head coach Doug Pederson, new coaching staff, several new players on all sides of the ball, and our new rookie quarterback, Carson Wentz. This is what many fans wanted to see, and none of us were disappointed. In interviews through the preseason, and analysts’ evaluations, it has been nothing but positive outlooks for Wentz developing into a quality quarterback. His debut was fantastic. Stats aside, he ran the Eagles Offense like a veteran would. He was confident, aware of his surroundings, and never seemed to panic. Yes, this was against the Cleveland Browns, one of the worst Defenses (and teams) that the Eagles will meet this season, and we have no delusions that the Eagles are a playoff team. This game was about our new coach, and new quarterback. This game was about getting Wentz out there in a stressed, real situation behind his Offensive Line. This was about new Defensive Coordinator Jim Schwartz and his revamped Defense. And this was about Doug Pederson, and how he was able to bring together his staff and team and start a new season with hope for the future. — No-Wet USA, Eco-friendly Car Care:  NoWetUSA.com – Enter the coupon code EFC at checkout and get a 10% discount! — The place for the Wentz Wagon: Voicemail Line: 1 (856) 335-3675 Twitter: @EaglesFanCast, Todd – @tradonks and Chuck – @chuckst Facebook: facebook.com/EaglesFanCast Google+: EaglesFanCast Email: fans [at] EaglesFanCast.net Support EFC – get our iPhone App, Android App or Windows App

It is yet again another exciting time to be an Eagles fan, albeit this time with no expectations of the team making the playoffs. The NFL Draft is approaching fast. In fact, it’s next week, starting Thursday, April 28th. We have once again secured the illustrious Tommy Lawlor (@lawlornfl) to talk Eagles Draft! This is the time of year that we all feel the new Philadelphia Eagles season begins.  The 2016 NFL schedule was announced last week, but this is the point where the new blood of players get picked to play for our team.  The young guys, the potential superstars, and the cogs in the machine that can ultimately bring our Eagles to a Super Bowl.  It’s the time of year we, and every NFL team fan, has hope, and excitement, and this is when it starts. Tommy feels the Eagles will take quarterback Carson Wentz in the 8th pick of the first round. That is, of course, if Wentz is still there at eight.  CB Vernon Hargreaves is who the Eagles could take if he’s gone.  We talk about many of the prospects, including Jared Goff, Myles Jack, Vernon Hargreaves, Ezekiel Elliott, Jalen Ramsey, Javon Hargrave, Adam Gotsis, and Kevin Byard.  We also go into what the Eagles have already done in this offseason, where the needs still exist, and the biggest unknown, our new head coach, Doug Pederson. Well the Philadelphia Eagles season was ended in embarrassing fashion with the Washington Redskins crushing the Birds in Philly, racking up yet another loss at home. But what overshadows this loss, and the loss of the season, is that the Eagles organization, namely Jeffrey Lurie, fired head coach Chip Kelly today unexpectedly.  We, along with Eagles guru Tommy Lawlor, discuss the why’s, how Kelly lost the will of some players, and the rest of the circumstances surrounding this untimely development. Fans so far on social media seem to be overwhelmingly for this move by the team, with not much sympathy for Chip.  We of course start the speculation, with Todd thinking Jon Gruden returns to Philadelphia, and Tommy is interested in the Saints’ Sean Peyton.  Many names are eventually mentioned, and you can catch them all on the audio!  Chuck’s pick is Tommy, so let’s #HireTommy. Oh yeah, there is one final game in the 2015 NFL season.  The Eagles play the New York Giants in a meaningless game.  The temporary head coach for that game is Pat Shurmur. The New England Patriots, only one loss on the 2015 season.  The Philadelphia Eagles, seven losses on the season, three of which in just the last three weeks.  The Patriots lost last week, and haven’t lost two straight games in forever.  The game’s stage is at Gillette Stadium.  No one expected the Eagles to win this game.  No analysts, the game’s announcers, and even most Eagles fans. How could we?  After the display the Eagles performed the last three weeks especially, and with Sam Bradford coming off an injury.  The Eagles Defense, allowing 110 points in the last three losses going against a Tom Brady who has something to prove this season and has been remarkable for most of it. But the Eagles dug down deep.  Very deep.  They executed.  They put pressure on Brady.  Our Offense ran it down the Pats’ throats, but with different guys.  Chip Kelly adjusted for this game, and had a plan.  It took Defense and a ridiculous Special Teams to beat the Patriots this week, and thanks to losses by the Giants and Redskins… into a 3-way tie for the sad NFC East.  Come on, with a 100-yard pick-6, a punt return for a touchdown, AND a blocked punt for a touchdown… ALL IN THE SAME GAME!  It was an amazing game to watch, and gave Eagles fans something huge to cheer for.  This season is not over yet, and there is plenty of football to play, and yes, cheer for. — No-Wet USA, Eco-friendly Car Care:  NoWetUSA.com – Enter the coupon code EFC at checkout and get a 10% discount! — Continue the Conversations: Voicemail Line: 1 (856) 335-3675 Twitter: @EaglesFanCast, Todd – @tradonks and Chuck – @chuckst Facebook: facebook.com/EaglesFanCast Google+: EaglesFanCast Email: fans [at] EaglesFanCast.net Support EFC – get our iPhone App, Android App or Windows App

So the Philadelphia Eagles have lost three straight games, are now 4-7 on the season, and yet, somehow, are only a single game out of first in the NFC East.  Don’t count them out just yet!!  Yes, I’m laughing while I typed this. Things have gone from bad to worse for this Birds organization, and with the Defense giving up five passing touchdowns in each of the last two games to the Lions  (with quarterback Matt Stafford) and Buccaneers (QB Jameis Winston) has taken away much of the hope for a recovery on this season.  Backup quarterback Mark Sanchez has not done well at all, and even shut the voices of the Sam Bradford haters.  Right now it’s all doom and gloom for Eagles fans, as we cannot believe what we are seeing.  The rumors of Chip Kelly entertaining the idea of going back to college have started huge again, even prompting the Eagles head coach and General Manager to publicly address it… something he really shouldn’t have to. The irony in all of this is that the Eagles are not out of the playoff picture, even with this record, and starting December!  The NFC East, the worst division in the NFL, has a tie for first between the Giants and Redskins, with a record of 5-6.  The Cowboys are pretty much officially done now that Romo is out for the rest of the season, the Giants can’t get a consistent act going, and the Redskins are still headed by Dan Snyder… enough said. It doesn’t get easier now, as the Eagles face the Patriots on Sunday in New England.  Winter is coming.  The Eagles better bundle up.

Our Philadelphia Eagles go into AT&T Stadium down in Dallas for a Sunday Night football game against the Cowboys.  The first half is not that fun to watch with neither team able to settle and play good football, and the first half ends in a 7-7 tie.  The second half turns into a battle, with each team scoring 20 points, eventually pushing into overtime.  The Birds get the ball to start OT and drive down the field.  Sam Bradford connected with Jordan Matthews for a 41 yard reception for a touchdown and the win! Many things looked better for our Offense this week, with Sam Bradford looking more confident, less dropped passes, good yards after the catch, and much improvement in the running game.  First downs helped keep the Cowboys Defense on the field, and eventually tiring them down. They are building into the Eagles Offense we expected, and will need the rest of the season to dig out of the hole they are in. This week the Eagles come home and the Dolphins step into the Linc Sunday.  Miami is also struggling, and other than the Patriots, they are also fighting for something in their Division. We all know what the NFC East looks like right now, and the Eagles scored some serious confidence this past week, and can take it forward into this week and build upon it.

The Philadelphia Eagles were off this week, and for our BYE Week show, we have a reunion of sorts with the hosts of the podcast formerly known as Philly Sportscast!  Dave, Derek, and E-money join us to talk about the state of the Eagles at the BYE, where we think the team will do the rest of the season, the mentality of the Eagles fan, and what this team has to do moving forward. Sam Bradford, Chip Kelly, McNabb, Mark Sanchez, Andy Reid, and DeMarco Murray were all hot topics in this disjointed and frequently loud conversation among Eagles fans.  One thing we all agree on is that this week in Dallas is the whole season for the Eagles, as the team cannot afford to lose another NFC East game.  We also give our predictions, talk about New Jersey, Bucks County PA, and hear a story about L.A. One last thing, Dallas sucks, and the Eagles win. — Links: @Emoneyspicks @phillysports — No-Wet USA, Eco-friendly Car Care:  NoWetUSA.com – Enter the coupon code EFC at checkout and get a 10% discount! — Dallas Week Conversations: Voicemail Line: 1 (856) 335-3675 Twitter: @EaglesFanCast, Todd – @tradonks and Chuck – @chuckst Facebook: facebook.com/EaglesFanCast Google+: EaglesFanCast Email: fans [at] EaglesFanCast.net Support EFC – get our iPhone App, Android App or Windows App

The Philadelphia Eagles lose to the undefeated Carolina Panthers down in Carolina 27-16. With the Giants winning over the Cowboys the Giants move into first place, and the Eagles have to sit with this loss for the next two weeks, as this coming week is a much-needed BYE.  Quarterback Sam Bradford had a better day and looked more confident, but this week’s Offensive woes came with the dropped passes, seven of them.  It was a horribly-played game for our receivers, and that seemed to be the main reason this game was lost. The Eagles Defense grabbed three interceptions from Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, and had pressure for most of the day. But the Eagles Offense just struggled, made mistakes, could not get separation, and dropped passes. Running back Ryan Matthews was one of the standouts on the day, rushing for 97 yards, 63 of which was a long touchdown run.  DeMarco Murray added on another 65 yards in the game. Chip Kelly, Eagles receivers, DeMarco Murray, and Sam Bradford are still under fire for under-performing.  Well they have two weeks to think about things as this coming week is the BYE, then we have the Dallas Cowboys.  Tommy Lawlor joins us to chat about where the season is, where the personnel are, and what we can expect, or hope to expect. — Links: Iggles Blitz Philadelphia Eagles Fan-Demonium Tommy Lawlor (@lawlornfl) on Twitter — No-Wet USA, Eco-friendly Car Care:  NoWetUSA.com – Enter the coupon code EFC at checkout and get a 10% discount! — On the road to victory: Voicemail Line: 1 (856) 335-3675 Twitter: @EaglesFanCast, Todd – @tradonks and Chuck – @chuckst Facebook: facebook.com/EaglesFanCast Google+: EaglesFanCast Email: fans [at] EaglesFanCast.net Support EFC – get our iPhone App, Android App or Windows App

The biggest game of the 2015 Eagles season was in Philadelphia on Monday Night Football against the New York Giants, a battle for first place in the NFC East Division.  A loss could have meant the basic end to the season, but a win puts the Birds in a tie for first.  Your Philadelphia Eagles beat the Giants 27-7 after initially being down 7-0 in the first quarter. The Eagles Defense was unbelievable in their dominance of the Giants after giving up an 80-yard drive and touchdown.  The Giants second drive was looking the same until DeMeco Ryans intercepted the ball.  The Eagles Offense put together a drive and tied it up.  From that point forward, the Eagles either kept the Giants Offense in check, or completely dominated them. Overall it was an ugly game, with the Eagles turning the ball over four times, and the Eagles Defense getting three turnovers from the Giants (with a pick-six in there from Nolan Carroll), and there were countless penalties on both sides.  Three of the Eagles turnovers came from Sam Bradford interceptions.  His inconsistent play (also having 280 yards passing and a touchdown) has been a reason for anxiety among many fans, some of which are calling for his benching. But is Mark Sanchez the answer?  Highly doubtful, and it’s one of the things we talk about in this episode. But right now, the Eagles are leading the division, and go to Carolina to play the undefeated Panthers, which will be yet another huge test of what this team is. — No-Wet USA, Eco-friendly Car Care:  NoWetUSA.com – Enter the coupon code EFC at checkout and get a 10% discount!

The New Orleans Saints come to Philadelphia, also struggling in their season, and get spanked by the Eagles 39-17. Quarterback Sam Bradford started out in a  negative way, despite driving down the field, throws two interceptions in the red zone, causing much anxiety for Eagles fans everywhere. But things turn around, the Eagles Defense does their job, and then Bradford and the rest of the Offense clicks and does theirs.  The second half the Eagles outscore Drew Brees and the Saints 29-10, and put worries to bed for the week. The next game on the schedule? The New York Giants come to Lincoln Financial Field for Monday Night Football for first place in the NFC East. This game is huge, and the Eagles need to take the momentum from the Saints win and take the Giants apart. So here we go setting the stage.  The Philadelphia Eagles are struggling to start the season, already losing a division game, then get a win.  This week they go to play the Washington Redskins, another NFC East team that is struggling.  The Eagles need to win this game, come together as a team, and set the stage for the rest of the season and prove to themselves who they are. Well that didn’t happen, and we saw more of the same from the team. We saw more mistakes, more dropped passes, more costly penalties and more lack of focus.  It wasn’t all bad, and we saw glimmers of great plays on all sides of the ball.  And that is what gives us just the smallest amount of hope for salvaging this season. This week the New Orleans Saints come to town with Drew Brees possibly set to take apart the Eagles secondary.  They are also coming off of a win this week after their own horrible start to the season.  This is yet another opportunity for the Eagles to start down a different path this season than they started on.  We’re still discouraged, but maybe things can change. Eagles fans are angry, though, and some are calling for Chip Kelly’s termination already.  They are hopeless at this point.  Hopefully those fans are wrong, and Chip can pull this team out of the funk that it is in.  I don’t want the organization to start with yet another coach.  Not now. — No-Wet USA, Eco-friendly Car Care:  NoWetUSA.com – Enter the coupon code EFC at checkout and get a 10% discount! — Free Therapy: Voicemail Line: 1 (856) 335-3675 Twitter: @EaglesFanCast, Todd – @tradonks and Chuck – @chuckst Facebook: facebook.com/EaglesFanCast Google+: EaglesFanCast Email: fans [at] EaglesFanCast.net Support EFC – get our iPhone App, Android App or Windows App

The New York Jets hosted the Philadelphia Eagles in north Jersey, and the Defense did indeed win the game.  But not the Defense that everyone was predicting. Our Eagles Defense grabbed four turnovers and kept the Jets Offense stumbling at times, not able to accomplish much. The Eagles Offense, on the other hand, were more effective and were more of a cohesive unit, despite DeMarco Murray being out with an injury.  Quarterback Sam Bradford looked more confident, but still struggled with accuracy.  But more of a concern was the dropped passes, at least one to two of them could have been converted into touchdowns. Darren Sproles was another bright spot, running back a punt for a touchdown in very exciting fashion.  He’s just so damn good. This week the Eagles take on the NFC East Division rival Washington Redskins, who, by nature, struggle.  This could be a win that gives the Eagles even more confidence moving forward, and allows them to continue to gel.  They need to get it done.
