Building a powerful personal brand as a leader isn't just about what you say online; it's about the culture you create within your organisation. When your team feels seen, valued, and connected to a larger purpose, that positive culture becomes your most significant competitive advantage. But how do you move from simply having values on a poster to truly living them? In this episode, I talk with my friend and best selling author of 'Culture Pays', Margaret Brown, a leadership expert with 35 years of experience, about the art and science of building a culture that pays.We explored several key areas during our conversation:✳️ The Three Pillars of Leadership: Margaret explained that successful leadership requires a balance of business acumen, technical excellence, and-the often-neglected pillar-values and behaviours. We discussed why the EQ side of leadership is the true differentiator that separates thriving organisations from the rest.✳️ The Real Cost of a Bad Culture: We looked at the hard numbers behind employee disengagement. With "quiet quitting" costing the global economy an estimated $8.9 trillion, it's clear that culture has a direct impact on the bottom line. Margaret shared a case study of how one company reduced its attrition rate from 12% to under 1% by focusing on its culture.✳️ A Framework for Transformation: Margaret introduced her "Five Ls" of leadership-Listen, Learn, Lead, Leverage, and Live by your values. This model provides a practical process for leaders who want to understand the blockers in their organisation and inspire their teams to do their best work. Here are three actions you can take this week based on our discussion:✳️ Conduct a Listening Tour: Don't wait for formal surveys. Actively seek feedback from your employees, partners, and stakeholders. Ask them what's holding them back and what they need to succeed.✳️ Practice Visible Leadership: Find small but consistent ways to connect with your team and show you care. It could be as simple as knowing the name of the person who brings the coffee or starting a "Good News Monday" meeting to celebrate weekly wins.✳️ Audit Your Values: Look at your official company values and then honestly assess whether they are reflected in the daily experiences of your team. If there's a gap, start a conversation about how to close it.More about Margaret Brown : https://www.margaretbrownconsulting.com/free-chapter/---(00:00) Introduction(01:42) Welcome Margaret Brown(03:04) Are Leaders Born or Made?(06:51) The Three Pillars of Leadership(10:07) Company Culture and Purpose(13:31) Leading with Vision and Purpose(17:10) Living Your Company Values(21:34) Belonging in a Post-Pandemic World(24:12) The Staggering Cost of 'Quiet Quitting'(28:58) The Importance of Visible Leadership(33:26) Connecting with Margaret and Her Book 'Culture Pays'(35:00) Conclusion----Get your copy of my Personal Brand Business BlueprintIt's the FREE roadmap to starting, scaling or just fixing your expert business.www.amplifyme.agency/roadmap----Subscribe to my Youtube!! ICE's actions are hurting the safety and learning of Minnesota students. That was the message of superintendents and elected officials this week, as they called for ICE to leave the state. As students worry about the safety of their loved ones or stay home from school, education leaders warn student education will suffer the same losses documented during the COVID pandemic.Several school districts, including Minneapolis and St. Paul public schools, have created a virtual option for for students who feel safer learning from home. And this week, St. Paul announced changes to its grading system to account for potential disruptions in learning. Joining Minnesota Now to talk about all of this is Stacie Stanley, superintendent of St. Paul Public Schools.
Lance Taylor from The Next Round and Aaron Suttles from Yea Alabama break down Alabama Basketball's dominant blowout win over Missouri and dive headfirst into the controversy surrounding Charles Bediako's re-debut with the Crimson Tide. What does Bediako's return mean for Nate Oats' rotation, the locker room, and Alabama's ceiling as SEC play heats up? The guys also look ahead to a massive Sunday showdown against defending national champion Florida, discussing matchups, keys to the game, and what a statement win would mean for Alabama Basketball's postseason hopes. On the football side, LT and Aaron react to Kalen DeBoer's hire of a new offensive line coach and explore what that decision could signal for Alabama Football's run game, physicality up front, and offensive identity heading into next season. All of that conversation pairs perfectly with a smooth pour of Corner Creek Bourbon, making this episode a must-listen for Alabama fans who love college sports and spirits. If you're an Alabama Football fan, Alabama Basketball junkie, or bourbon enthusiast, this one's for you.
Today's episode is a really special one because it's release day for my book, Tiny Tweaks, Happy Life!
We start with desire, because your clients are not buying websites, copy, coaching containers, or audits, they're buying what comes after those things. I talk about how to move away from selling features and start selling the emotional, identity, and lifestyle shifts your work creates. This alone can completely change how compelling your offer feels.I also dig into why speed, simplicity, and clarity matter so much right now, and how overcomplicating your offer quietly kills urgency. Finally, why underpricing can make an offer feel less valuable, not more and why themed, experiential offers stand out in a sea of samey services. If your offer has started to feel flat or hard to sell, this episode will help you spot exactly where the energy has leaked and how to bring it back. What You'll Learn in This EpisodeWhy people buy desire and impact, not deliverablesHow using your own words (not AI copy) increases trust and urgencyThe role of speed, simplicity, and ease in high-converting offersHow to address objections by naming the cost of not taking actionWhy a clear methodology makes your offer feel safer to buyHow pricing and theming can instantly elevate perceived value"People aren't buying the thing you sell, they're buying who they get to be after it works." In this episode, Robert and Sharla dive into National Quitter's Day—the second Friday in January when most New Year's resolutions start to fizzle out. Today's episode is all about some calculated tweaks I'm making to my training week to try to optimise this training cycle for Manchester marathon. It can be easy to change too much at once and opt for things that aren't sustainable in the long run. I have also found it difficult to move away from things that have served me well in the past.So these tweaks hopefully will blend the best of both. Retaining the general philosophy and structure to my week but with a few new ideas and ways to keep me on track with some of the work I find more difficult. As always, any cycle should begin with keeping what has worked well whilst being open to adding in something new that can help, or sometimes even eliminating things that didn't work.I have a few slots still available for one to one coaching which takes the guesswork out of your training and racing. What if the biggest upgrade to your finances wasn't a new strategy but a new way of thinking? Joe Saul-Sehy and OG unpack the small but powerful money mindset shifts that separate people who know what to do from people who actually make progress. This isn't about motivation posters or vague positivity. It's about practical mental frameworks that lead to better decisions, fewer regrets, and more confidence with money. The team walks through their top five money mindset tweaks. How to focus on strengths instead of endlessly fixing shortcomings. Why taking action beats overthinking every time. How playing long-term games with the right people changes everything. Along the way, they connect mindset directly to real-world choices, like how thinking clearly about value, longevity, and opportunity cost affects something as everyday as buying a car. That's where Carl Brauer from iSeeCars joins the conversation with insight into which vehicles deliver the best long-term value. It's a perfect case study in mindset-driven money decisions. Not chasing shiny objects, but choosing options that quietly compound in your favor. If you've ever felt like you're doing most things right but not seeing the results you want, this episode helps you zoom out, recalibrate, and move forward with intention. WHAT YOU'LL LEARN: The five mindset shifts that consistently lead to better money outcomes Why progress comes from doing rather than perfecting your plan first How understanding compounding changes the way you view time, effort, and money Why focusing on your strengths beats trying to fix every weakness How to think about purchases like cars through a long-term value lens The power of playing long-term games with people who think the same way THIS EPISODE IS FOR YOU IF: You feel like you know what to do with money but struggle to actually do it, you're tired of motivational content that doesn't translate into real change, you want to understand why some people progress faster with less effort, you're making a big purchase soon and want to think about it more clearly, or you believe the way you think about money matters as much as what you do with it. Sometimes the most profitable move isn't changing your plan. It's changing how you think about the plan. As we head into a new year, let's pause and talk honestly about New Year's resolutions, because if they've never worked for you, it's not a personal failure. In this episode, I'm sharing why we crave fresh starts, why resolutions so often fall apart, and why the problem isn't you, but the system we've been handed. Instead of chasing an aspirational version of life that doesn't fit your current season, I'm inviting you to try something gentler and far more effective: tiny tweaks. We'll walk through simple questions to help you notice what feels clunky in your real, everyday life and how small, realistic changes can make your days feel lighter and more joyful. This conversation is all about letting go of pressure, redefining happiness, and starting the new year with grace, one tiny tweak at a time. Cheers, friends. Mentioned in This Episode:
In this episode of Sold Out Offers, I walk you through a series of small, practical tweaks you can make to bring an offer back from the brink. These are not big rebrands or six-week projects. They're short, focused checks that help you reconnect with the purpose, positioning, and delivery of what you've already built—so you can decide what actually needs changing (and what doesn't). We'll look at your sales page, your offer result, who the offer is really for, and whether the delivery experience still makes sense. I also talk about how overstuffing, unclear transformation, or underpricing can quietly drain your energy—and make an offer feel heavier than it needs to be. If selling or delivering something has started to feel like dragging a dead weight, there is a way to fix that. This episode is about falling back in love with your work—or at least giving it a fair chance before you throw it away. Because I've seen offers go from “total flop” to signature, most-lucrative work simply by making these kinds of intentional adjustments. What You'll Learn in This EpisodeHow to quickly self-audit your sales page and spot where the disconnect really isWhy clients buy transformation, not calls, documents, or deliverablesHow unclear targeting can quietly sabotage an otherwise solid offerWhy delivery design matters more than adding “more value”The link between pricing, energy, and why an offer starts to feel heavy"You're not selling deliverables, you're selling an experience. And if the experience doesn't make sense, the offer won't either." Step into my festival world...

They share how analyzing 2.4 million inbox messages revealed that 4% were tied to weight-loss drugs, prompting the creation of a new weight-management digital medicine program instead of an AI tool. They explain how reorganizing message flows, adding e-visits, and using ML to uncover hidden system strain has improved efficiency, while predictive deterioration models saved lives but had to be retrained as outcomes changed. The focus shifts to Liverpool's much-needed reset at West Ham, where selection choices, structure and pragmatism delivered a vital clean sheet. Hamzah explains the decision to rest Salah, why Szoboszlai moved wide, and how Joe Gomez returned despite ongoing knee injections. Si gives a detailed sports-science breakdown of Gomez's tendon issues, load management, and why the defender cannot play every match. The discussion moves into Liverpool's unusual gameplan, with a reduced press, compact shape and a deliberate attempt to limit long-ball chaos. Today we're diving into holiday gifting, the part of the season that somehow feels both magical and mildly panic-inducing. If you've ever found yourself wanting to be thoughtful and generous but also staring at a long list feeling totally overwhelmed… same. This episode is your permission slip to take a breath, simplify, and bring the joy back into giving. I'm sharing the tiny tweaks that have genuinely changed the game for me, starting with reframing gift-giving as a simple expression of gratitude, not a quest for perfection. We'll talk about getting clear instead of chaotic by creating a gift list (my updated printable is linked!), figuring out what kind of shopper and wrapper you actually are, and scheduling shopping so it stops looming over you. You'll hear easy, budget-friendly ideas like favorite drinks, homemade treats, recipe cards, and simple group gifts. Plus, I'm walking you through my go-to “default gift” strategy, the thing that saves my sanity every single December. If you've been craving a calmer, more meaningful gifting season, this episode will help you feel organized, inspired, and maybe even excited again. Grab your coffee and let's make holiday gifting feel manageable, and dare I say, enjoyable. Mentioned in This Episode:
4 Tweaks To Make Your Follow Up SUPER Effective and Efficient
In this episode, I'm sharing my heart on something that so many moms feel this time of year: the holidays are magical… until the pressure, expectations, and “shoulds” start stacking up. With over half of parents reporting higher stress during the holiday season, and one in five saying their stress even dampens their kids' joy, I invite you to slow down, breathe, and shift into a gentler, more intentional way of moving through the season. Instead of striving for a perfect Christmas, I'll share my favorite tiny tweaks to create real peace, joy, and presence this Christmas season. Through personal stories (including a memorable HomeGoods meltdown, a bumpy Aspen landing, and rethinking those “sucky-innie” Christmas pajamas), I'm here to remind you that small changes, like asking “What do I need?”, giving yourself a longer runway, checking your expectations, and communicating clearly make a huge difference in your holiday mindset. This episode is filled with encouragement and practical wisdom to help you ditch overwhelm, release perfection, and craft a Christmas that aligns with your family, your values, and your capacity. Tune in to learn the 10 tiny tweaks that will lighten your load, bring back the magic, and give you permission to savor a season you love, not just for your kids, but for yourself too.
