We have done OCR eulogy episodes in the past but never a eulogy episode on OCR podcasts! Mike used his first hand experience, Podchaser, and his own podcast app to find as many podcasts as he could find whether dead or alive.  He compiled the show names, descriptions, hosts, how many episodes released, date range of the show, and personal thoughts and experiences where applicable! There are well over 50 OCR podcasts discussed but apologies if we missed some.  We are a 2 person team and this took a pretty decent amount of time to put together.  See the shows mentioned in the time stamps below! In this passionate and timely account, Emily Maguire charts a course through the history of Australian feminism—from the First Wave to the Fourth, from suffragists to Riot Grrrls, from equal pay to #metoo. Along the way, she pays tribute to those who’ve spoken up and taken action in the face of ridicule, dismissal and violence. This Is What a Feminist Looks Like shows us how we got to where we are today—and reminds us that some battles must be fought over and over again. Author, Emily Maguire and Zoya Patel joined us in conversation to further investigate these themes. Emily Maguire Emily Maguire is the author of five novels, including An Isolated Incident which was shortlisted for the Stella Prize, the ABIA Literary Fiction Book of the Year and the Miles Franklin Literary Award. Episode 100 is here. Less than two years ago I began a new chapter of the Dirt in Your Skirt story with the addition of the podcast. It has been an incredible ride so far and wanted to take episode 100 as a chance to reflect back on the first 100 episodes even episode 0. I invited Jojo Brown of the UK Mudd Queens Podcast to come on and chat about the first 99 episodes. Jojo and I will frequently chat about episodes after they are out and further the conversation. I thought what better way to commemorate this milestone than take those themes and weave them into a massive podcast episode.    Show Supported by:  Four Sigmatic - http://www.foursigmatic.com Use code: DIYS to save 10% on your order For All the Companies We Love Visit: - http://dirtinyourskirt.com/sponsors/   Full Shownotes:  http://www.dirtinyourskirt.com Join the Facebook Group:  http://www.dirtinyourskirt.com/tribe Support the Show: http://www.dirtinyourskirt.com/support

Tod Brilliant had a vision while gardening. That vision was of a nicer world. So he set out to create The Super Nice Club, with one vision to make the world nicer. At least 10% nicer. In his own words: "In short, I give a damn. About the world, its future, and my hopefully achievable goal of giving more from it than I take. To do this requires constant, never-ending learning, unlearning and relearning, all of which means that I often find myself taking hypocritical positions that contradict what I thought I knew. I work as a Creative Director and writer, live in California's wine country with a truly wonderful lemon tree, and work daily at spreading the simple premise of the Super Nice Club (be a little nicer)." Tod joins the podcast this week to talk about creating the Super Nice Club, what it means to be Super Nice, and how we all can be a little nicer to one another, possibly changing the world in the process. Sounds like a lofty goal, but listen in to find out how the Super Nice Club is a grassroots organization making a difference in communities all over the United States and beyond.   Find Tod and the Super Nice Club Website: http://www.superniceclub.com Facebook Page: http://www.facebook.com/superniceclub Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/superniceclub   Show Sponsored by Health IQ Dirt in Your Skirt is sponsored by Health IQ, an insurance company that helps health-conscious people like runners, cyclists, weightlifters, and vegetarians get lower rates on their health insurance. Adriane Wilson was born in Youngstown, Ohio in 1980 to Rick and Rae Blewitt. She has one sister, Samantha, who is two years older than her. Adriane followed her sister around and participated in all the sports she tried; golf, softball, and track and field. She lost her Dad right before my senior year of High School so life was a little uncertain as she matured into adulthood. However, she found her passion for track and field when she went to college at Ashland University and majored in Physical Education and Health. Her college coach was 4X Olympian, Jud Logan and he guided me to a life of dedication and perseverance. His daily lessons of excellence helped me achieve athletic success and victory over the biggest challenge of my life. She was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma at the age of 23 in the peak of her athletic career. Her dream of making the US Olympic Team in 2004 was shattered. With the support of my family, coach, teammates, and the community she was able to compete and finish 5th in the shot put at the 2004 US Olympic Trials a couple months after chemotherapy. She continued training for the '08 and '12 US Olympic Trials but never quite got back to the top. In the meantime, she began competing in the Scottish Highland Games for fun. This 'fun' turned into an amazing experience of traveling the world wearing a kilt, throwing stones and flipping trees, and earning World Champion titles along the way. Now retired from competing in the shot put, she trains for the Highland Games and works as a personal trainer in two gyms in Columbia, South Carolina. Her passion has shifted towards coaching. For the last two year, she has been contracted to coach US soldiers who are wounded, ill, or injured in the shot put and discus for the Warrior Games and Invictus Games.   Show Sponsored by Health IQ Dirt in Your Skirt is sponsored by Health IQ, an insurance company that helps health-conscious people like runners, cyclists, weightlifters, and vegetarians get lower rates on their health insurance. Among all amazing people I have interviewed in 200 episodes of Wellpreneur so far, from time to time there's one of them that stands out. One of those eyeopening and also fun interviews, and today's show is definitely one of them! My guest today is Margaret Schlachter and I absolutely adored talking to her. Margaret is the first female professional obstacle racer, which is really a tough mother of races, and she now has a media career in that industry. She's actually been blogging since 2011, so today we're not just going to be talking about her career in obstacle racing and how she's adapted over time as her body was changing, but also about her deep understanding of online world. With this knowledge and her love for racing sports she carved her own niche (yes, creating a niche is possible!) with the company she started running first as a blog with this awesome name ‘Dirt in Your Skirt', that has now grown to podcast + amazing community dedicated to empowering women excel in obstacle racing and endurance running. We also touch on topics of successful online promotion and the effective use of social media, what kind of content gets most traction and more! And don't miss the intro to hear about my adventure of the lifetime update + my weekly tool tip! My tool recommendation for you this week is something that I've never talked about before, which is backing up your computer. Whether you use PC or laptop for your work, the machine you work on all the time needs to have a backup. To save myself from headache of doing things manually, I started using a service called Backblaze which works the same on PC and Mac – you install it and it keeps backing up your data to the cloud – for just $5/mo.This episode originally aired on The Wellpreneur Podcast.Get the full show notes with links: https://wellpreneur.com/creating-a-niche-from-pro-athlete-to-media-career-with-margaret-schlachter/Copyright 2012-2020 Wellpreneur Ltd.
