While there, I maintained and repaired our boats and carried out law enforcement duties and search and rescue missions. During my time in Michigan, I was accumulating ribbons frequently, and it never made sense to me that I had to purchase a new ribbon rack just to add a single ribbon. In 2019 I began thinking of different ways I could create a modular ribbon rack that would be convenient for not only myself but other service members as well. While starting my product research and development, I decided to change career paths and switch rates from MK to AMT. I attended AMT School in North Carolina and graduated in 2020. After that, I transferred to Mobile, Alabama where I currently work on C144s as an Aviation Maintenance Technician. I continued my product development and prototyping through all of 2021 and launched my store in 2022. The product I invented was getting more attention than I could have ever hoped for. My goal of creating a more convenient ribbon rack for service members was complete. But I still have more ideas for improving the SnapRack to make it the most versatile ribbon rack on the market. I am currently an E6 and work at an EOD BN in the S3 Training Cell. I am married to another SM, Joshua Moehring. We have 2 kids, but want at least 4 more. Topics you want to discussI want to talk about the toxicity surrounding SHARP cases and give advice for other service members about the process. After I stood up to my previous chain of command on Fort Bragg, they had it out for me. I reported SA and DV from my ex husband (who was also in the same unit). My command threatened to sue me for $50,000 for slander and libel (I have it on video still) and tried to find a reason to kick me out. Right around the same time, they gave me an Article 15 for fraternization (I was an E4 he was an E5). All happening around the same time, I was demoted to E3, given extra duty for 2 weeks, pay taken, chapter paperwork initiated, and constantly threatened by my command. I started recording and taking screenshots. I reported my chain of command and my commander and 1SG were relieved of duty. I was moved to 192nd EOD with amazing leadership. I never gave up, finished all investigations through the military about SA/DV, finished civilian court cases, quickly promoted from E3 to E6 within 2 years, and doing better than ever. Now it's my mission to fight for other victims! Also, when I was married to my ex he was cheating on me with his squad leader (in the same unit). I showed up to the barracks with her husband and she jumped from the 3rd story window and broke her back. She's still in a wheelchair 3 years later so that's kind of an interesting story too lol Support the show

If your unit doesn't have an active SFRG, perhaps consider starting one! A good SFRG leader is inclusive, positive and encourages communication! In the military unit, we don't have to all be "best friends", but we ARE a community. A community made up of unique personalities and strengths bound by the common thread of LOVE for our service member. The SFRG community should be a welcoming, open, and soft place for people to land after a PCS where they take comfort in knowing they aren't "alone" at any duty station or during any deployment. The military lifestyle is far from easy. But what's kept us around for 12 years now is, equal parts, the call to serve and the military community that's become our family. Support the show
