Event PROMO! Event PROMO! Event PROMO! The Green Living Chats podcast presents the "Philosophy in PhD" PodiNar series. In this second program of the podinar series, we hope to achieve two main objectives: Discuss the value of learning to summarize big ideas: According to Arckam's razor, Truth Is Simple. Therefore, the ability of any graduate student to present their opinions or findings in concise and coherent words reflects how well they have thought about them and understand them. Here we discuss the 3minutes thesis module. Developing interdisciplinary research collaborations: Ideas do not reside in one mind or field. Therefore, to adequately tackle problems in society, reasons must come together. But what is the value of this? What does it look like? Attendees will benefit from developing a 3-mins thesis presentation and cultivating interdisciplinary research collaborations. All graduate students are invited. Find more details about registration here: https://glcpodcast.ecoametsolutions.com/. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-philosophy-in-phd-registration-243953500487. The Annual Ghana Green Building Summit (GGBS) was created in 2017 to evaluate Ghana's Green Building needs and tailor the local design, finance, and policy solutions. In the past three editions, prior speakers have included ministers of state, policymakers, international development agencies, industry experts and professional associations. Having had the opportunity to discuss materials and design extensively in past year summits, this year we are highlighting how efficient operational management of a building's life cycle can contribute immensely to increased comfort, financial savings and reduction in carbon emissions. This inspired the 2021 theme: Re-thinking Operations Management for High-Performance Buildings. Some confirmed speakers for the Summit are the Minister of Works and Housing, Ghana; Minister of Energy, Ghana; Mayor of Accra; Industry experts from Denmark, Nigeria, South Africa and the UK will present at the Summit. Biogas entrepreneurs in Africa join forces to demand better working conditions and regulate foreign aid involvement. #BiogasUnite is an initiative of local and international companies and entrepreneurs to improve the conditions for all in the biogas sector. Up to now, the biogas sector has been primarily driven by donor-funded projects and programs without creating a sustainable, fair and functioning biogas market anywhere. As a result, not only has market development largely failed, but markets are distorted, and the reputation of biogas as clean cooking fuel has been destroyed. As entrepreneurs, we are interested in working in reliable and protected environments, solid and competitive markets with equal conditions for all players and clear rules regarding technology and service quality to assure a good reputation of biogas among customers, partners and investors. In this podcast, we present the reasons and aims of #BiogasUnite. Katrin Pütz As an agricultural engineer, environmental scientist and cabinet maker, Katrin developed the concept and technology for mobile biogas between 2010 and 2013. Since 2013 Katrin has been (B)energy's head & heart.
