Human Design I was introduced to Human Design in 2009 and have used it in my coaching and healing sessions since then. In this episode, I'm exploring the possibility that we can transcend our energy blueprint as we continue to evolve. This is just a possibility I'm exploring, not a hard stance or fact. I'd love your thoughts in the comment section! If you're interested in exploring your own unique Human Design, check out this podcast interview with Kip Winsett, a Human Design Mentor. Check out: Human Design for Everyone Reiki In Reiki energy healing training, we use the Sanskrit Medicine Buddha chant. I also incorporate the Christ energy when I call on the Medicine Buddha, who has transcend the reincarnation loop. Both Christ Consciousness and Tibetan Reiki principles teach that we do not have to stay stuck in a loop of reincarnating to work on "lessons". I have changed my perspective on Reiki and I don't simply teach Reiki techniques anymore. If you want to learn more about my experience with Reiki healing, you can listen to this podcast episode: How Reiki Changed My Life and Why I Don't Teach Reiki Healing Anymore London Real Interview David Icke is a very controversial fellow, but I'm sharing here my takeaways from his latest interview with Brian Rose. I do not find this information to be negative or fearful because I walk with path of the shamanic practitioner and we embrace all of life. Kambo frog medicine ceremony is a shamanic ritual for spiritual healing and physical detox. I have been wanting to tell the story of my first Kambo frog medicine experience on January 7. Kambo is known in the Amazon as the "Vaccine of the Forest". Kambo secretions contain over 120 (known) bioactive peptides that stimulate healing on a physical level. The cool thing about intuitively creating whether it's podcasting, writing blogs or creating online courses, is that I don't put something out in the world until it feels right. The time is finally right to share my incredible shamanic experience. I hope more people learn about the immune strengthening and pain relieving benefits this sweet creature offers. My first experience of this deeply spiritual medicine was with Julie Merrill in Asheville, NC. I can't say enough good things about her level of integrity and professionalism. Julie is a powerful healer who has been facilitating Kambo ceremonies for fourteen years. https://alchemykambo.com/about-alchemy-kambo/ To learn more about Kambo and find out if this might be a supportive treatment for you, check out Carly Sink's website: https://www.hi-frequencyhealing.com/kambo-frog-detox Ready for a deep dive into plant spirit medicine? Human Design is a Life Upgrade "Human design is not a rule book. There's nothing in Human Design that you have to try to do. This system makes it possible for us to be aware of ourselves on so many levels. This is like an owner's manual that describes who you are and how you were genetically designed to be. As you become aware of your own integration, you become more whole. Human Design helps you develop a platform for successful, self-reflective consciousness. To be the very best you can be, you have to be aware of yourself." "Human Design lists and shows you how your behaviors are connected. You came genetically wired with certain behaviors, and these successful strategies have been used for thousands of years. Understanding these behaviors helps you watch the movie of your life." -Kip Winsett, Human Design Mentor https://www.instagram.com/humandesignsystempro Human Design Mentors Kip Winsett has been a licensed Human Design Analyst since 2000. Activate your creative expression with rap coach Kiyoshi Shelton. Leap into leadership and heal with conscious music. In my Next Level Healer coaching certification program, I work with many types of wellness practitioners that are ready to break out and offer new services. I'm always on the lookout for coaches who bring their own unique style and healing gifts with power and presence. That's the reason I wanted to interview Kiyoshi and I hope he inspires you as much as he does me. Kiyoshi offers courses and coaching programs that highlight his unique path of service: music and creativity as medicine. He is helping people all over the world access their own unique creativity and elevate their expression. Hip hop and rap were the sounds of my youth and I still love rap music so much. Throughout my personal healing journey, the more old patterns and programs I uncovered the more I realized mainstream music was contributing to damaging programs in my subconscious. Songs on the radio were just as unhealthy as the processed food I no longer desired to eat. How many of you have had a similar journey? The more you work on raising your vibration and healing yourself, the more protective you become of what you consume on all levels. Consumption happens through media, music, movies, and of course, what we eat. Enjoy this interview with Kiyoshi and I hope he activates your unique creative leadership style! The very first energy healing technique I ever learned was Polarity Therapy. After that, I was introduced to Reiki in 2001 and it rocked my world! I made it my life's work to travel the planet in search of the best healers and learn everything I could about energy healing. This is my story of how Reiki changed my life and why I don't teach Reiki anymore. So many energy healing modalities to choose from. Do you ever feel overwhelmed about what to learn? I have been a certified Usui Reiki Master/Teacher since 2003. I would guess that I've initiated around 100 students into the Reiki Healing Lineage. The path of the Reiki healer was a beautiful introduction into the world of energy healing for me. These days, I have moved past teaching a lot of modalities but I incorporate all of them into my training in a very inclusive way. Techniques I work with and teach every day include Polarity Therapy, Huna Hawaiian energy healing, Healing Touch, Dowsing and some aspects of Usui Reiki. Our energy field has changed We are living in a very different timeline now than when I began to study all of this. Want to know more about the energy shifts we have experienced lately? Jacinta V. White shares her journey with creativity, grief and the beautiful outlet of writing poetry. "Processing difficulty through poetry helps me be honest with my own questions about trauma, confusion or heartbreak." "Poetry is an invitation to be intimate. My role is to help guide the process. Creativity is an invitation to take risks and explore things that you normally wouldn't take the time to explore. Part of the creative process is being still and resting. We have to allow the emotions to come up so we can work with them." Jacinta teaches elegy workshops, helping people with a form of poetry that laments loss. While she doesn't promote staying stuck in grief, she said something that really resonated with me about tending to our grief. "I am not suggesting that we need to stay in a place of mourning, but I am sensitive to not washing over it. We have technology, social media, alcohol, television...we have so many ways to numb our grief. Part of our humanness is to go through grief. An elegy is a way we can pay attention creatively." Jacinta is the author of Resurrecting the Bones: Born From a Journey Through African American Churches & Cemeteries in the Rural South, She is the founder of The Word Project and Publisher & Editor-in-Chief @ Snapdragon: A Journal of Art & Healing Mission: To engage and support persons in the process of self-discovery, expression, and healing through creative engagement with the arts. Seed to Bottle, Farm to Face: Slow Skincare with Laurel Shaffer The first time I experienced Laurel Skincare Products during a facial treatment, I was blown away and wanted to learn more. As an energetically sensitive plant person, I could feel the high vibration and quality of the products. It was like the products were alive and interacting with me. Since becoming a licensed esthetician in 1998, I have had a passion to help people heal skin problems. Over the years, my excitement for the skincare industry has waned because I couldn't get excited about unhealthy chemical treatments. Holistic Entrepreneurs Laurel Shaffer has reignited my passion for skincare and made me remember why I became an esthetician in the first place. I sought her out for this interview because I wanted to know her healing story. Laurel is the founder, formulator, plant communicator, loving heart and driving force behind this revolutionary skin care line. We discuss her transition from a career as a sommelier to formulating her own products as a skin specific herbalist. Katie is my favorite entrepreneur boss babe. In this interview, she shares her wisdom on how to pivot and thrive in uncertain times. Katie Veazey is the owner of www.katieveazeyskincare.com and co-owner of www.blushandbobbys.com We've been working side-by-side since 2003. I observed carefully how Katie treated people every step of the way to success. Katie knew how to adapt, grow and change with the times. These are essential skills for survival in the massage therapy and skin care industry right now. Sharing space with Katie through the years while dealing with every imaginable scenario together has taught me so much. Seeing clients alongside Katie has been a true joy because she puts her heart and soul into everything she does. This is why she's so successful in the skin care and makeup industry: she's full of gratitude, hustle and drive. I worked with so many estheticians throughout my career but I knew this lady had that special "it factor". Seventeen years later, Katie shares her secrets for success with you. I've also been a licensed esthetician since 1998, but as my massage therapy and energy healing practice grew, Katie took over the skin care needs of our shared clients while I focused on healing. I'm so passionate to share our story about how we made it through times of uncertainty together because I want to lift professionals up in our industry, As skin care businesses start to reopen after the shut down, THIS is the perfect opportunity to assess what is not working in your holistic service business and make some positive changes. Katie knows that my dream has been to coach holistic healers, massage therapists and skin care professionals. I want to help holistic entrepreneurs create businesses that keep them happy and healthy. I wrote my book, True Calling, to help my fellow spa professionals and holistic practitioners create success on their own terms. If you've ever considered becoming a healing practitioner or you've been in the healing arts for a long time, this interview will light you up. Phillip Ward, Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist, inspires me to bring my best to my self-care practice and my clients. Phillip and I go way back, all the way back to massage school in 1995 when we were both waking up and beginning our healing journey. If anyone out there has an interest in enrolling in a healing arts school, becoming a massage therapist, acupuncturist or any kind of holistic healer, I hope you listen to this interview for some huge truth bombs and wisdom from Philip. "The secret for me in any type of self-help work, reprogramming, adopting a new spiritual practice or meditation...what makes it, ultimately, is if you commit with all of your soul. Commit to what you want with all your soul, commit to being awesome at life and wanting to be your best self and follow that program with consistency, that's the secret."-Phillip Ward, L.Ac I had so much fun doing this interview with Phillip, where we explore: *Why massage school teaches you about a whole lot more than massage therapy *How to navigate through a healing crisis and how "waking up" is not for the faint of heart *What it takes to de-program ourselves and what that has actually been like for both of us *We discuss the link between art and healing, along with Phillip's journey in acting, film, bodywork and tai chi *Phillip shares his passion and journey into Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture and how we became an acupuncturist to the stars. *Consistency is the science. Why the workout or mediation practice that works is the one you will do consistently. *When it comes to making a career choice to be a healer, whatever you're doing supports you, you are doing it right. The only way to know is make a decision about something and see if it feeds your soul. *The Way of the Peaceful Warrior by, Dan Millman, is a favorite of both of ours and we didn't even know it. I share a really sweet story about my Dad's connect with this book while he was in jail. This book is a must read and Phillip shares the principle of how knowledge is useless if it isn't used. https://www.amazon.com/Way-Peaceful-Warrior-Changes-Lives/dp/1932073205 *I re-read The Diamond Cutter all the time and I get something new out of it each time I take in the wisdom. I can't recommend this book enough! https://www.amazon.com/Diamond-Cutter-Buddha-Managing-Business/dp/038552868X *We also discuss how healing practitioners can strengthen and fortify each other and why this is so important right now. This interview is the transformative journey of a massage therapist who steps into her own power as an herbalist, remote psychic healer and force of nature witch. There is so much to learn and share from this conversation and I highly recommend every holistic healing professional take this information to heart as we discuss: *Collective transformation and healing the planet *Self-inquiry, spiritual growth, transformation *Professional development for massage therapists, creating your healing practice on your own terms *How to be an herbalist and remote healer in a sustainable way *How to expand your massage therapy practice and hone your intuitive gifts *Go to work through triggers when someone uses a word that has a negative charge for you Breakthrough Moments of Transformation I love how this conversation with Stephanie helped me break through some of my associations and blocks around the word "witch". This is the perfect time for all of us to let go of our negative associations of words and triggers so we can be clear and deeply understand who each individual is, beyond labels and triggers. Stephanie shares her story of how she challenged the corporate model of Massage Envy. She also shares her transition from a hands-on massage therapist to a remote natural healer. This is so important for therapists and holistic healers to hear right now since many of us are pivoting and expanding our offerings. "Whenever I see dysfunction in the world, I have a responsibility to the collective to say something doesn't feel right. This is my responsibility to the whole. We owe it to ourselves and each other to use our voices, minds and hearts to bring solutions to the table. If we only bring problems instead of solutions, we aren't going to get anywhere. The best thing we can do for ourselves is to the see the imbalances and feel them to the point that solutions begin to rise up out of us."-Stephanie Athena Marie If you are ready to hone your intuitive skills as a therapist, this interview will inspire you to work with your own healing gifts and expand your high sense perception. We discuss that uncomfortable growth period that happens when you start working beyond the physical with clients. Bridging the gap between physical therapy and massage therapy: creating a successful business by treating the whole person Dr. Aaron LeBauer PT, DPT is is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Massage Therapist, and Baptiste Inspired Yoga Teacher. He is the owner of LeBauer Physical Therapy with his wife Andra in Greensboro NC. After seeing 43 patients in one day as a physical therapy student, he knew he could not treat patients effectively in the insurance model. He is on a mission to save 100 million people from unnecessary surgery and since 2013 through his coaching business, LeBauer Consulting, has helped 1000’s of passionate physical therapists’ launch similar businesses and scale their time, income and impact. www.LeBauerPT.com www.LeBauerConsulting.com Read Aaron's latest article on Entrepreneur here: www.AaronLeBauer.com/entrepreneur Show notes: *We discuss why many people feel their physical therapists have let them down and how Aaron empowers patients to heal themselves. *Thinking outside of the box and strategizing non-touch therapies are producing beneficial results for clients. *Self-care education and empowerment on social media is key for practitioners navigating our current situation. *In order to share our gifts as healers, it's important to cultivate strong business skills so we can get in front of people and educate potential clients. *Aaron doesn't heal people; he gives them the information and tools so they can fix themselves. *We explore how therapists can be helpful and resourceful to their clients in multiple ways. Education is key. *Words are more powerful than we realize. Patients will take on a personality around a diagnosis. As a patient, you are not your diagnosis. As a therapist, you carry a tremendous responsibility with the words you use. Therapists can hold clients back if we don't use words that empower. Change outcomes by choosing different words. All emotions are simply energy. Energy is neither good or bad, it's just pure creative potential. We are the ones that assign labels of positive or negative to the emotions in our bodies. With the world experiencing collective uncertainty, it's a good time to be creative and try new things. This collective re-set is an opportunity to assess what's working in our lives and businesses and what's not. What areas of your life are you ready to transform? This is energy work in it's simplest form: transmuting emotions to make them work for you. "The future is yours, do something about it!"-Raymon Grace Raymon Grace taught me that fear can be transformed, along with every other emotion. Take an assessment of what emotions you hold habitually, as your default setting. Becoming aware of the frequencies we hold out of habit it the first step to transforming our energy into effectiveness and power. In this episode, I share the mistakes I've made in self-publishing my first book and producing two podcasts. As I continue to balance productivity with creative flow, I hope what I've learned so far helps you share your gifts with the world. Want to know why I felt drawn to write a book and figure out how to do a podcast? Here's the interview that explains why I'm so passionate about helping healers: Interview with Evangeline: My Journey as a Healer
Curious about energy healing? Here's what you need to know about energy work and how to tune in. More people are interested in learning more about energy healing than ever before. Are you curious? Do you want to know more about how to tap in to your own energy? I am excited to see a great awakening and interest in energy work. But you may be wondering, what the heck IS energy healing, anyway? In this episode, I discuss how I was introduced to energy healing back in massage therapy school in 1995. Polarity Therapy was my first taste of energy work and I've been curious ever since. Check out www.polaritytherapy.org Reiki Therapy came in my life years later and blew my mind. I became a Reiki Master/ Teacher offering continuing education to massage therapists. But my insatiable quest to learn about healing didn't stop with Reiki. I have made it my life's work to travel the globe in search of the best healers I can find. In this podcast, we barely scratch the surface of ways you can learn about energy healing. The most simple way to connect with your own energetic field is to meditate regularly. My podcast is supported by Patreon Supporters and you can join my Meditation Club for a subscription to monthly guided meditations. If you want to tune in to your energy field, check out my article 7 Things You Need to Know About Energy Healing for a detailed list of do's and don'ts to enhance your session. This is a conversation about my journey as a healer, how I heal myself, what being clairvoyant is like, how I do my sessions and tons of other topics I hope you find useful. While Carrie Hamilton and I were enjoying creative time together, she turned the tables and interviewed me. I had so much fun being in the "guest spot" as she asked me deep questions that made me think about why I'm so passionate to write and speak about energy awareness and self-care. In this episode, we discuss how massage school cracked me wide open in 1995 and activated my dormant clairvoyant abilities. I remember seeing energy around humans, animals and plants until I was nine years old. Massage therapy school was like the gateway that opened up many healing opportunities and levels of energetic awareness. We talk about my first book, True Calling, and why I wrote this career guide book for healers FIRST, since I have so many books I want to create. I explain why I'm so passionate about helping any kind of practitioner that works with clients avoid burnout and thrive. Curious about Homeopathy and Remote Energy Healing? Even though I've been a holistic healer for twenty-five years and I'm a huge fan of flower essences, I never really understood how homeopathy works. Carrie Hamilton of XO Wellness explained homeopathy to me and it all finally made sense. I went from feeling overwhelmed by the homeopathic remedy names (that sounded like Harry Potter spells) to now being the proud owner of a basic homeopathy. Carrie has empowered me to become a better healer at home to my family and friends with simple homeopathic remedies. Another amazing thing about Carrie is that her business was the first sponsor of this podcast. I am forever grateful to her for all the support and education she has given me. Without her, this show would have never happened. Thank you for all your guidance and love, Carrie! The Healer's Journey: Carrie's Healing Story This interview is Part 1 of our conversation about Carrie's personal and professional healing journey. She has quite an interesting healing story of her own. Carrie explains what a homeopathy session is like and how she infuses energy healing and intuitive life guidance into her remote sessions. What is distance healing and does it really work? Have you ever experienced a remote healing session? Evangeline has been working with clients all over the world for many years. This is her story of how she went from being very skeptical about healing from a distance to offering remote sessions herself. Evangeline explains why remote healing is easy to do and difficult at the same time. The key to remote healing is being able to use your mind to visualize energy and stay focused on feeling good yourself. This episode covers the techniques used to practice distance healing in Reiki Level 2 training. Remote energy healing comes in handy when a practitioner can't see their clients in person. Evangeline says, "I love teaching my clients how to do their own healing work. Distance healing sessions provide the opportunity for a client to be empowered in their own healing process." Distance healing can be powerful and effective. This could be the perfect time to learn how to be even more useful to your clients.

This episode is about my attempt at living naturally in a synthetic world. I'm wondering if any of you out there are dealing with the same struggles? As a child of the seventies, my nose has been dumbed down, tricked into thinking harmful chemicals are clean or sexy. I remember flipping through the pages of my mom's Vogue magazines to get to the perfume samples. I would tear open the page with the perfume strip like it was Christmas morning and then...the rapture of a chemical nosegasm. When I became a bodyworker and made friends in the healing arts community, I noticed how many people were sensitive to perfumes and detergents, but not me. After years of living more naturally, my senses are returning to their senses. Living naturally in a synthetic world IS possible, but it takes time and support! In this episode, I discuss how misinformed my brain has been about chemical scents. Since I got married and adopted a child, the struggle to stay natural and keep our home healthy is REAL. In my twenty-five year practice as a bodyworker and energy healing practitioner, my clients have been my greatest teachers. In this episode, I share some of the many lessons I have learned through direct experience and what my clients have taught me about healing. Throughout the years, I have grown right alongside my clients and I dedicate this podcast episode to all of them. What I have learned from my clients might surprise you. Here are 10 Life Lessons from the healing room: 1-Even though I do healing work for a living, I have never healed anyone but myself. Sounds contradictory, right? Healing work is full of paradoxes. 2-Self-care at home and professional therapies are both important. The daily work of empowered self-healing makes professional sessions more effective. 3-My definition of what healing is has changed. 4-All emotions are important. Emotions are not negative. Emotions can be evolved, not removed. 5-Healing is all about relationships. 6-Clients heal faster when they tune in to their own bodies. 7-Miracles happen all the time, in and out of the healing room. 8-None of us will make a positive change until we're darn good and ready. 9-We are recovering from the conditioning that someone else is in charge of our health and our bodies. 10-Unconditional love is real, especially on the healing table. Show Notes: In this episode, I invite you to explore using sacred geomancy and shamanic ceremony for land healing. I share the story of how I'm gently coming into relationship with the land my husband and I recently acquired. We manifested this land in a very serendipitous way and the struggle of clearing trees to make way for our future home has been heavy on my heart. I enlisted the help of fellow shaman Susannah Ravenswing for much needed support and also to learn from her lineage and traditions. I discuss the importance for healers and spiritual leaders to call on each other for support and how there is tremendous strength in asking for help, when needed. Healers need each other and I find way too often gifted healers stay isolated in their own corners and do not reach out for assistance when they need it. Healing professionals, shamanic practitioners and medicine people gain power and strength collectively by being there for each other. I was so enriched by the ceremony and experience Susannah brought to my land. I am so grateful to have a team of competent healers and teachers around me. We grow in service to each other. An artist friend of mine, who is very connected to plants and explores the natural world in her artwork, offered support during this tender time of releasing trees. Emily Clare suggested that I gather leaves, flowers, bark and even dirt from the area around the trees that must be released from the land. She will create artwork that will preserve the beauty and energy of these sweet trees in another form. How wonderful it will be to enjoy this artwork in our home and keep the energy of the trees with us. Highlights from this episode: *Establishing a connection with a piece of land is just like having a relationship with another human-it takes effort, time and patience. *Communication is everything-whether practicing land geomancy, doing medical intuitive work on your own body or cultivating healthy relationships of any kind. *In this podcast, I talk about the importance of shamanic ceremony for the health of the land along with tree and plant spirits. When I connected to the trees, it felt similar to working with the variety of personalities and roles that humans play in any community. *I discuss how I work with plants spirit medicine in my healing room and how Susannah's sacred geomancy work inspired me to work more with physical trees and plants. *When land has experienced trauma, a one time occurrence of sacred geomancy and shamanic ceremony does not fix the problem. A ceremony or ritual is the beginning of a healing journey and a long term relationship. *I received confirmation from Raymon Grace that my dowsing results were correct. Our land has been severely traumatized and it will take time to restore the health and vitality of this ecosystem. I touch on using dowsing techniques to clean up energetic imprints on land, like curses. You can check out more info on dowsing to heal your land at https://www.raymongrace.us/ If you haven't checked out my post on why ceremony and ritual are so important, read my article with easy suggestions for creating your own ceremony. Check out my post here Why We Need Ceremony-How To Empower Your Life with Sacred Ritual I'd love to hear from you! How are you connecting with the land where you live? This episode is all about the healing power of a focused mind and what I learned from my time with Raymon Grace. As we work to refine and upgrade our thoughts, it's always a good idea to test out different techniques to find what works best for you. Here are a few highlights from the episode. Enjoy! *Keep a thought journal. Set a timer and record all the thoughts you can recall entertaining multiple times a day. This exercise is quite revealing! *We operate in alpha brainwave state for the first seven years of our lives, making us highly programmable. Developing awareness about how programmed we already are empowers us to do our own programming from now on. *Find out why affirmations and goal setting techniques don't work for some people. *Spells and Curses-Casting spells was forbidden because of the creative power of using words. Pay attention to the words that you use and the words that you take into your mind. Write down your goals with power and intention. Become an observer of the words that come out of your mouth. Pay attention to curses (curse words) that are habitually used throughout the day. "Death and life are in the power of the tongue."-Proverbs 18:21 *Simply look UP to access alpha brain state and higher consciousness. Write a healing thought pattern and place it over your door frame. Look at it often to reprogram a thought pattern. "Affirmations are not a denial of your present circumstances but rather a seed you are planting for the future." -Bernie Segal Techniques from Raymon Grace: *Engage the five senses to activate alpha brainwave state. *Paint a red X over a negative thought in your mind and then go do something that brings you pleasure. *Eliminate using ownership of an illness. Speak about physical conditions in a way that empowers your body. Also eliminate "I'm sorry" and replace with "Thank you". Put effort into refining your words and thoughts. *Time travel in your mind to work on traumatic experiences. This exercise becomes more powerful when you do it with a friend. Change the way your body remembers an experience. Links Heal Your Body by Louise L. Hay Raymon Grace raymongrace.us
"What if I am the alchemist of my bloodline?" -Dr. Kelly Brogan Ancestral information is stored in the fifth level of the human energy field. The experiences of our ancestors are affecting our every day lives. We have the potential to refine our DNA and change outcomes for our blood line. We get to change the stories that are encoded in our bodies. We do not have to replay the same trauma over and over. Our body parts may carry a story that is not relevant to our current life experience. We not only carry physical attributes of our ancestors, we carry the energy imprints of experiences like war, poverty and rape in our organs. Chances are, we all carry the energy of both oppressors and the oppressed. We can be internal peacemakers. Every time we take inspired healing action, no matter how small, we have an effect on our entire blood line. Whenever we break a pattern or change a habit, every time we say an affirmation, we can affect our entire family. You are the sum total of all the experiences of your ancestors. All of their stories are swirling around in this incredible container called your energy field. Awareness is the first step in inter-generational healing. You need time, focus, imagination and intention in order to do ancestral healing. Cultivating awareness of your ancestral lineage is a lot like doing medical intuitive work on yourself. Checking in with your own body assists you in noticing where trauma from the past might be held. Many times our bodies hold the history of abuse that is not relevant to our current life experience. Meditation is the key to building our intuitive muscle so we can be aware of what's going on inside of us. Connecting to the gifts and strengths the ancestors have to share with us through energy healing. I share the beautiful experiences I observe when clients are on the healing table-the dance of the ancestors. Pay attention to what forms of entertainment trigger trauma in your body. I share my experience with Netflix shows like Outlander as well movies like Braveheart and how I decided to create a healing opportunity each time I'm triggered. Ancestral healing holds a tremendous opportunity for positive change in the present moment.
As a healer, I've never been interested in using a lot of "stuff" when it comes to making positive changes. I like to travel light and I was always turned off by pendulums because I misunderstood how to effectively use them. I thought using pendulums was like asking an 8-ball questions, a sort of spiritual laziness. Once I learned about Raymon Grace and his dowsing techniques, I changed my mind about the benefits of using pendulums, when handled properly. If you haven't checked out my podcast called Confessions of a Dirty Mind, that episode will fill you in on Part 1 of what I have learned from Raymon Grace. Highlights from the Show: *Energy is neither positive or negative. We assign value or judgement to energy. Dowsing helps you neutralize non-beneficial energy so you can take that potential like a lump of clay and work with it. *Dowsing can include anything from finding water to measuring energy and accessing intuition. *You do not need a pendulum to measure energy. You can use your own body to do this work if you are clear and your vibration is high enough. But while you are working on accessing your intuition and becoming your own finely tuned instrument, a pendulum can really help. *When it comes to power objects and healing tools, focus on what makes you feel good. Be empowered to make a positive change in any situation, no matter what you have at your disposal. Objects used in healing should enhance your intention. *The right healing tools including gemstones, power objects and pendulums will easily come into your life at the right time, if you're paying attention. *You can ask medical intuitive check-in questions about what frequencies and emotions your body is currently holding. *Dowsing is like taking a shower. The effects won't last forever. This technique is like "shampoo, rinse, repeat." *Never underestimate how your loved ones might respond as you learn more about healing and energy. The more I have let go and allowed myself to have my own learning experience, the more it has opened up the sweet opportunity for my family to share in this experience with me. *We have the power to neutralize any energy that is non-beneficial for our bodies and our spaces. Why I Changed My Name (And How You Can Activate The Power Of Your Own Name) I’m sure a lot of you are wondering what’s up with my name change. Let me start by saying that if you’ve known me as Angela for a long time, you can still call me that and many people still do! Evangeline (ee-VAN-juh-LEEN) has been my pen name for a while and the short answer to why I changed my name is that I just really like the name Evangeline and I married a guy with the last name Hemrick. Launching my blog and podcast felt like the right time to make a big change. I feel like the long story is worth telling because I was never someone who wanted to change my name. I want to share this experience because I feel like the name each one of us represents ourselves with is a big deal. Here’s the story of what happened to me. I Never Thought I Would Change My Name and Here’s Why I Did... I have always loved the name I was given at birth, but I was never crazy about the shortened version of my name which everyone called me in the small mountain town where I grew up. When I was born, I was named Angela Monique, which means heavenly messenger. What’s not to love about a first name that spells out Angel? But I was called Angie until I left home and created my own identity. It wasn’t that I disliked the shortened version of my name, it was that I just REALLY loved the name I was given and I’d never been able to use it. Little did I know that years later, my brother would marry an Angie and that was all the more reason for me to go by my given name instead of a nickname. When I moved away from that tiny mountain town, started massage therapy school and got a job, I claimed the power of my name and my birthright. I finally stepped into the being named Angela and it felt good. I didn’t realize that I was claiming my identity at that time. I only knew that I felt all grown up using my real name. Since the day I moved away from home, the name Angela has served me well personally and professionally. That is why my recent change comes as such a shock to me and it makes me realize that everything changes, even when we are perfectly happy with the way things are! Sometimes, transformation calls for big life changes and that’s what’s happened to me. Having spent the last several years of my life doing deep self realization work and focusing primarily on my relationships, I committed myself to cultivating my relationship with: myself on every level (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual) my inner circle of friends and family my clients in my private practice. I’ve spent a lot of time simplifying my life in order to be more effective at the few things I wanted to do really well. Taking time to get clear has brought profound changes in how I communicate with the world and what I’m passionate about accomplishing while I’m here. These changes in me are the reason for my new name and the catalyst for writing this blog, producing my podcast and creating my e-courses. I have realized that success in life is all about nurturing relationships and that’s why I am reaching out and sharing information. I want to have a relationships and build community with people who are interested in making their lives better. The things I like to write about and discuss on my podcast are all related to living more intentionally and getting the most out of life. Another reason I changed my name is that I fell in love and married a man who had already adopted a young boy before we met. Now this child is my son, too. This unexpected and joyful turn of events in my life brought up a lot of questions for me regarding my name and how I wanted to identify myself in this new family. I wondered if I would take my new husband’s name (even though I swore I’d never do that again)? I had vowed that I would never take anyone’s name again and I’ve had a pretty strong stance on the issue until now. This situation felt different,
