“Overwhelmed and unable to produce the audio that could even begin to express a slither of what I feel. Stage 4 cancer, is this really happening? Wait, if I refuse to hear this, maybe can I preserve my precious reality? So, shut up Doc.. Because embracing a diagnosis that can literally kill me in seconds, is not something I can do.” This heart wrenching mind conversation is not a figment of my imagination used to solicit an emotional response. Nope, this was a real broken moment for Marcia Hall after learning she had stage 4 cancer. If you or a family member has faced a moment similar to this but been unable to process forward... Marcia courageously shares her journey in a very special way for you. Tune in and hear how faith snatched her out of one the most darkest place in her life. More about Marcia Hall: She is a woman of God, a loving Pastors wife, a mother, an entrepreneur, a friend, a mentor, and a motivational speaker. Transforming Ministries has blessed many people inside the church walls and outside the church walls. Marcia survived the Big C (Cancer) just three year ago as she followed Gods plan to create a service that is unique, but meet a great need in the community. Mrbubblez Inc. (mobile showers for the homeless), their motto is “I See You & I Care” which is now blessing our homeless neighbors today in the Tampa Bay area.
"It" happened, now what? I do not say this with any form of sarcasm. We have aired 26 episodes of the show to date, and I realized that some people hear these stories but are disconnected from the purpose and power of what they are hearing, due to unprocessed pain. The question that I aim to address in this episode is this, "Is it possible to process something you didn't ask to be a part of?" We are crowning May as the month to FIGHT!!!!! Fight for what? We are featuring stories of people fighting for their physical lives, their mind, their soul, and more. If you are done with being defeated by trauma, tune in and be inspired. I, Octoryia will be kicking us off with some thought-provoking questions, statements, and little more of my story. For more about Octoryia, please visit https://www.launchnowus.com/octoryia

Surgery... While in most cases when faced with this decision it is based out necessity. There are always risks and changes as a result of an invasive treatment like this.. But just imagine, finding yourself in the situation that your only child at two-months-old is required to undergo one of the most dangerous types of surgery? How would, How could, process this? Elizabeth, lived this moment by moment for years. She chose to be a guest to use her story to strengthen families walking through a medical crisis. I know we say it often... But this is a MUST listen! You can't prepare for a crisis but she is a testimony that you can survive it without losing your mind. More about Elizabeth: Multi-talented, singer, songwriter, and aspiring hair dresser LaRay was born into music. She grew up in South Berkeley California in a family that lived for music and was the one person besides her mother (Ms. Pam) blessed with the gift of voice. LaRay was also given the gift of range. At the age of 5, LaRay and her two sisters (Nichol and Jaye‘) recorded their first tape with their father (G), compiled of childhood playground rhymes like humpty dumpty. LaRays voice started to develop. She took this time to sing in the youth choir with her sisters until her best friend and grandfather (KAM JAM) who had previously had a record label, took her and her sisters to sing karaoke. This was a test to see how she would do outside of family and outside of church… LaRay passed. Unaware of the talent she truly possessed, LaRay became fascinated with learning to play the piano. Her father who plays keyboards for Special Request took her under his wing and she made him a promise “one day daddy ima’ be better than you”. LaRay still practices daily to live up to that promise. LaRay continued singing in church, also sang for her high school and at local community events. Currently at the ripe age of 31, LaRay is not only enrolled in college taking a double major: cosmetology and music. she is very involved in church, in her community and works with kids at the “Young Adult Project” (YAP). A recreation center she has roots in, that has supported her career from the start. Her biggest supporter of all is her 5-year-old niece (Poopy) who sings along with all her songs while she practices. LaRay's inspirations start at home and go on to include Beyonce, Destiny’s Child, Mariah Carey, Regina Bell, Anita Baker and many others. She is motivated and determined. Destined to go far LaRay is Ready Now, as she has stated on her first single that can now be found on iTunes. A personal Thank you from LaRay: ….. I want to say thank you GOD for the gift you chose to share with me, I love you. I want to thank my family, church, friends, and community for believing in me. I want to thank Prime U.S.A Records, I love you guys so much and we are going to make it. A special thanks to all of you Myspacers, Facebook Family, and Twitter's who show me so much love repeatedly . This is my dream, you are helping me, making it come true. Losing a loved one is never, ever easy. But when it is both senseless and brutal, how do you possibly move past the pain of your loss? Ayesha is the epitome of this difficult scenario. Imagine your most painful moment in life being national news? For most people understandably this would be an all out time for revenge and retaliation. But Ayesha's response in less than 3 days will blow you away. Her story is not just a tearjerker. Nope, it is filled with hope, help, and forgiveness for those who have lost someone. ______________________________________________________ Ayesha was born and raised in Berkeley, and the sense of liberty and creative expression that is so prevalent in Berkeley has definitely helped shaped who she is. She is a free spirit and chooses not to let challenging life experiences get the best of her. Her grandmother, Pearl Louis, instilled early in her life the importance of a relationship with God. She was the first person who led her to Christ. She also wanted to prepare her with a strong educational background. She has attended Catholic schools through high school and has been very active in the churches she has attended. God is the head of her life, and she puts Him first in everything she does. She recently stepped out on faith and opened a daycare, Steadfast Love Learning Center. Her mission is to provide a nurturing engaging safe learning environment. She graduated from Southern University with a BA in political science, and will graduate with a master’s in education in 2019. She is raising two energetic sons-Curtis and Kamron. They have taught her to enjoy life to the fullest. The majority of their days are filled with laughter and joy, however, life has not always been fun. 2010 was the roughest year of her life, as she learned just how fragile life is. Her sister suffered a life-threatening ruptured brain aneurysm which left her to make tough medical decisions for her. She quickly learned how to respond in a time of crisis and thought the hardest part of the year was over but was sadly mistaken. In May 2010, her mother was murdered, put inside a suitcase, and thrown into the San Francisco Bay. She was discovered on May 18, and that was the hardest day of her life. Everything changed that day for Ayesha and her family. In April of 2012, her dear friend, who helped her dry tears when she lost her mother, committed suicide. Then March 2015, her beloved grandmother, who was the most influential person in her life and her mother's mother, passed away. So where does that leave Ayesha-determined, resilient and full of purpose. Her life has been filled with ups and downs, but she has chosen not to dwell on the downs. She has been described as someone who rolls with the punches, learns from her mistakes, and tries to enjoy each day that she has here by spreading love, forgiveness, and hope. She continues to keep her faith in God, no matter how the circumstances may look, and believes that you should let all that you do be done with love! The petrifying idea of looking, feeling, or being labeled as a failure will sometimes convince one to remain in pain despite the consequences. Being a man who is a community leader and role model — How do you make a decision that is right for you, even when NO one supports it? Micheal Nealy lived this dilemma for almost (15) years. He was the victim of domestic violence and stayed a victim for the praises of people. Oh yeah, he gets real and raw. Tune in to hear how he not only made it out alive but regain his confidence and identity. About Michael Neely: Reverend Michael Neely lives in beautiful and sunny Tampa, Florida, where he is the Senior Pastor of New Millennium Community Church. Reverend Michael Neely received his call to ministry in August of 1986 when he resided in Chicago, Illinois. Since then, he has worked in the capacity of Youth Pastor, Sunday School Superintendent, Director of Evangelism, Assistant Pastor, Church Planter, and now Senior Pastor. He served as the Assistant Pastor of First Baptist Church of College Hill from September of 2000 until March of 2004 under the leadership of Reverend Abraham Brown. He has a tremendous passion for God’s word; a compassion for all community members; a love for God’s people; and a deep commitment to the community. His concern for victims of domestic violence led him to become an executive board member of the Family Justice Center where he served as a volunteer chaplain and spiritual counselor. He now serves in the same capacity at the Spring Outreach Center. Reverend Michael Neely obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from Newburgh Theological Seminary and College of the Bible and has future plans of pursuing a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing.
