For the first three months after Angela lost her daughter, Alonna, Angela said that she was in a fog and did not move. Alonna was shot and killed just as she was being dropped off to attend a bonfire at a friend's house. Unbeknownst to her, Alonna was arriving just as an altercation was beginning in the front yard. Angela's amazing, talented, and beloved daughter was gone, and Angela didn't know how to continue living herself. Months passed without Angela even being able to stay in her own home. Even getting up to shower was difficult. At some point, however, Angela had a realization. She thought, 'I need somebody and somebody needs me.' Angela needed help that only another bereaved mom could give her and knew that she could give other grieving moms help as well. After being unable to find a group for grieving moms, Angela started a monthly support group where grieving moms could gather and offer love and affirmation to each other. She named the organization 'Alonna's Song' in memory of her wonderful daughter. More recently, Angela realized that she could do more than help bereaved moms locally in her state of Indiana. She could be a link to connect grieving moms across the country and even around the globe. Angela says, "Maybe I don't have the exact right words that will give comfort to a mom in California, but perhaps a mom in Alabama does." I want to be the link that will bring those two women together. Through her podcast, Angel Moms... "Hopes of Heaven", Angela does just that. She shares stories of angel moms everywhere so we can support each other by hearing other stories of loss and hope. (This week, Angela interviews me.) Angela ends every episode of her podcast with a final question, 'Momma, what are your hopes for heaven?' Angela's personal answer is this. "It is my hope that heaven is having heaven be everything that I have ever read about heaven and more! My hope is to be totally blown away. My hope it that Alonna will be there waiting and that it will feel like no time has passed at all." Thank you, Angela. Those hopes are all of our hopes as well.

Labor Pains: Dealing with infertility and loss during pregnancy or infancy.
Olga Mister shared her grief journey through the first year of the loss of her six and half year old son TJ and the beginning of year two. She said I remember walking out of the hospital and thinking I will see him tomorrow. Olga said numerous times that no one talks about your whole body going through a change and how exhausting grief is. Her pastor shared with her that she needed to heal emotionally, physically and spiritually. Every area of your life needs healing. Inside this episode we talked about: The exhaustion and the very dark times. Throwing yourself back into work to avoid the grief. Not remembering who you are. How you see things so differently. Being so deep in pain that the "signs" were not visible Olga has just begun her second year of the loss of TJ and said it is worse. The fog has lifted so she is needing to navigate things differently. She is worried that she is going to lose someone else. Family and friends have distanced themself so she is clinging to the Angel Moms she has met for support. And knowing that she is forever changed ... navigating how to find her new identity without her son. You may know Maya Vander from the Emmy nominated, Netflix hit series, Selling Sunset. She gracefully departed the show at the end of Season 5 to move to Miami permanently, just before welcoming her son Mason into the world. What she didn't know was on the horizon, at the time of filming, is that she would experience a stillbirth with her son Mason, and he would not come home from the hospital with his family. Navigating the world and trying to comprehend a stillbirth or infant loss is unfathomable to many people. It's excruciatingly painful and it so easily knocks you down. Maya and I talk very candidly about our shared, but unique experiences. Although we have different journeys, we both are Angel Moms who are holding onto our loved ones through it all, navigating each wave. Tune into hear some behind the scenes about how grief and trauma have effected Maya, what marriage after loss looks like for her, how her young living children have connected to their angel brother, and colorful signs that Mason has sent them in sunny Miami. And although she misses her fellow cast members and the fun and glamor of LA life, Maya shares about her decision to prioritize her family over anything else. Thank you to Maya for joining this candid conversation today! I hope it feels like two Moms chatting...because that's truly what it was!

희망을 잃지 않다| The One with Angel Moms (Part II) – An Inner View with Mo! and Jolasun: Episode 7 (2020)Last year, I made a promise to a sister who was going through (in)fertility challenges that I was going to keep in touch with her, in a bid to make her journey lighter. After doing this episode, we both have now decided to make this a yearly pod follow-up.In this episode, we shared our current states of mind, reflected on the past year, and designed the future. Know anyone like us, who's been “trying” for quite a while and needs a little pick-me-up? Why not share this episode with them.Let's keep hope alive and take joy in everything that already abounds within and around us.

First, Happy Mother's Day to moms – in every way, form, or the other. This episode is especially dedicated to a special category of moms – angel moms; mothers with babies in heaven. On a day as triggering as today, I hope you remember the strength that already lies in you.I brought on a dear friend, Jolasun, to share her experiences as well on pregnancy losses and struggles with motherhood. Drawing from our own experiences, we provided tips on how to retain your joy and not feel resentment towards others. Finally, we shared resources on how wives can facilitate the difficult talk with their husbands regarding the anger, sadness, and missed expectations stemming from miscarriages. Darrell Castle talks about the lies and distortions that have made this a bad year for the mass media along with the failure of our political leadership to defend our civilization. Transcription / Notes EMPIRE OF LIES Hello, this is Darrell Castle with today's Castle Report. Today is Friday, March 1, 2019, and on today's Report I will be talking about some of the lies and distortions that have so far made this a bad year for the mass media. The media may be having a bad year because it publishes lies and distortions, but this society often rewards liars and punishes truth tellers. Let's start with the story of a 7 year old black girl from Houston Texas who was murdered earlier this year. Initially the reports were that she was murdered by two white racists in a red pickup truck. The usual stereotypes of what a white racist is supposed to look like and be like were all there and the media just bought it hook, line, and sinker probably because it fit and advanced their own pre-conceived political narrative. The media, whether TV or print, often reports a story as presented, just as if it were true all before any investigation is completed. They want us to assume it to be true because, I suppose, they want it to be true so badly. This little girl's murder was front page news around the world and presented as evidence of the terrible race problems we have here in America, but when the murderers turned out to be two black gangbangers, it suddenly disappeared as a story. The prevailing sensationalist political agenda often is not advanced by the truth, therefore the truth is of little value to them. Then along came the story that I have talked about for a few weeks and that is the Covington kids and Native American Nathan Phillips. The media will not report these stories after their initial version is proven to be false, but I don't want the real version to die, so I keep talking about them as long as possible. The Covington kids' story should not die for a long time because of Nick Sandmann's defamation suit against various publications, including the Washington Post. We would be well served to remember the masthead of the Washington Post, which it has adopted as its official slogan, “Democracy Dies in Darkness”. That seems appropriate now that we the people can no longer believe anything the paper prints and all stories must be investigated by real journalists, such as simple bloggers and others in the alternative media. The New York Times, the Post, and others should pay attention to their own advertising. The opportunity for the President to call attention to false stories of hate and hoaxes staged as hate crimes was there with the Covington kids but he passed on the opportunity. He originally said he might have them to the White House but changed his mind, I suppose because of advice that it would not be a wise political move. That seems to be the standard for right and wrong now—is it a right or wrong political move. For example, when he was about to sign his emergency declaration for the wall, the Angel Moms, which is a group of mothers who have had children killed by illegal aliens, were in town to oppose the new spending bill. The President said he would like to invite them to the White House but reportedly his Chief of Staff, Mick Mulvaney, and advisor Kelly Ann Conway, vetoed it because of political considerations. Ms. Conway then lectured the Angel Moms to stop their protest because it might endanger the spending bill, which she said the President desperately needed. So if this story is true, and it apparently is, the President was very much in favor of the spending bill and didn't just sign it because he wanted to get on with his declaration of emergency. The spending bill effectively ends resistance to illegal immigration in America. It is worse than blanket amnesty because it invites those who would have come illegally to come legally. When Neville Chamberlain went to Munich to make a deal with Hitler,

Joining Audrey for this week's REELTalk - Would you be surprised to learn that a majority of Americans have immigration/border security as a top priority…and that those who should be serving us in DC don’t even have it on their radar? Americans are developing new technologies to secure our southern border…are our politicians paying attention? We'll get answers to this and more with Angel Moms SABINE DURDEN and MARY ANN MENDOZA! Plus, Jim Crow Laws were once considered settled law, thank God the Dems lost their rule and these laws are now gone…isn’t it time for Roe to also go? Abolishing ICE would release 1.4M criminal illegal aliens onto US streets, which is triple the population of Miami. So why are Democrats calling for ICE to be abolished? We'll hit this with Dove Award nominated Recording Artist STEVE CAMP! And, Robert K. Greenleaf, founder of the modern Servant Leadership movement once said: "The servant-leader is servant first. It begins with the natural feeling that one wants to serve. Then conscious choice brings one to aspire to lead. The best test is: do those served grow as persons; do they, while being served, become healthier, wiser, freer, more autonomous, more likely themselves to become servants?” We’re going to touch on this and hear about some real life examples of servant leaders…with MAJ FRED GALVIN! In the words of Benjamin Franklin, "If we do not hang together, we shall surely hang separately." Come hang with us...
Matt Dunn of Backbone Radio joins the Steffan Tubbs Show. In this brief closing segment of Hour Two, we visit with Maria Espinoza of the Remembrance Project. We discuss Angel Families "permanently separated" from their loved ones, as a direct result of illegal immigration into America. We commend President Trump for honoring these Angel Moms and Angel Dads, whose tragic stories have long been neglected by our mainstream media. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Democrat Maxine Waters goes Scorched Earth. We marvel at the latest tirade from "Mad Maxine" as she demands Trump's impeachment and encourages people to "absolutely harass" Trump officials at restaurants, gas stations and department stores. Is the hate-filled Left inching closer to formally endorsing political violence in America? Rep. Jason Chaffets remarks on the Democrats' stunning embrace of "intolerance" in their increasingly perilous "resistance" strategies. Meanwhile, we deconstruct this week's Time magazine cover story on Trump immigration policies. Propaganda at its finest -- and most misleading. We observe MSM avoidance of the "Angel Moms" who met with President Trump this week, and review declarations from Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, Mexico's front-runner presidential candidate, that mass immigration to America is a "human right we will defend." Plus, our conversation with Justin Everett, Republican candidate for Colorado State Treasurer. With Listener Calls & Music via Social Distortion, twenty one pilots and Van Morrison. Sisters in Loss Podcast: Miscarriage, Pregnancy Loss, & Infertility Stories
In today’s episode Jameelah shares her Sudden Unexpected Infant Death Story of daughter Ryen who passed away at 4 months old and how she founded Ryen’s Divine Angels organization. Jameelah and her husband Luther found Ryen unresponsive and not breathing during a huge snow storm in Atlanta in January 2014. Jameelah fell into a deep depression with anxiety and even suicide attempts. With God’s grace and guidance, Jameelah defied all odds and came out stronger and closer with her husband than ever. They began using Instagram as a tool to connect with other Angel Moms and Father’s and that is how Ryen’s Divine Angels, a non-profit organization was founded in 2015. They saw a need to break the silence around SIDS/SUID through awareness, education, and the promotion of mental health through counseling and spiritual guidance. Ryen’s Divine Angel’s is hosting an Angel Mom Brunch on October 22, 2017 in Atlanta Georgia. Since 2015, a year after losing their daughter to SIDS, it became evident that their story as well as other women needed to be heard all around the world. With that, they began using Instagram as a tool to connect with other Angel mothers and fathers, allowing them to share their stories with the world. The outpour of support from fellow angel families and those who had never heard of such tragedies caused for an immense sense of healing and community. Ryen’s Divine Angels, a non profit organization, was founded on the need to make Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness a national cause that receives as much attention as other important causes such as breast cancer awareness and domestic violence awareness. Coincidently, October is the awareness month for all three causes, but many do not know that Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness even exists. The reason we don’t hear much about Pregnancy and Infant Loss is because parents hold a lot of guilt, depression and embarrassment after the loss of child, which in turn causes them to grieve in silence. It is their goal to break that silence, which will not only inform others but save angel families from self destructive behavior. Over 900,000 families experience the loss of a pregnancy and/or infant via miscarriage, still birth, SIDS/SUID (Sudden Infant Death/Sudden Unexpected Infant Death), and various causes explained and unexplained. RDA is committed to making Pregnancy and Infant Loss a national concern through awareness, education and the promotion of mental health through counseling and spiritual guidance. It is their hope to uplift angel families, empowering them to share their stories and encouraging them to heal properly and healthily. Ryen’s Divine Angels dedicated to the prevention of pregnancy and infant loss through awareness, education and research. RDA is also an organization that offers bereavement service assistance to families who have been financially burdened by such losses. October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.
