Picture Siberia, 1908. A mysterious, unexplained explosion, eons before the invention of nuclear bombs, rips through the serene Siberian Taiga forest, home to the majestic Siberian tigers. The Tunguska Event, as we'll come to know it, is our focus on this episode of Paranormality UK. We'll transport you to this eerie historic moment, where witnesses reported uncanny lights in the sky and sounds akin to artillery fire, followed by a seismic event that shook the earth across continents. Is it possible that a nuclear test was performed decades before such technology was commonly known? Or could we entertain the thought of extraterrestrial involvement? We spin tales, explore theories and share documented facts, all while traversing the massive expanse of Mother Russia. Engaging conversations on the Tunguska Event, from seismic events to the peculiar air-based shockwave felt around the globe, will make you question everything you thought you knew about unexplained phenomena. As we dive deeper into the cosmic realm, we tackle the speed and size of meteors, their interactions with the atmosphere, and the probability of them hitting Earth. We will also explore how Jupiter, our solar system's muscle man, serves as our protector by annihilating meteors. The episode closes with a critique of the various theories surrounding the Tunguska Event, including the meteorite theory, one of the more popular explanations. Buckle up and prepare for an astronomical adventure that probes the depths of our understanding of Earth's defense system against cosmic threats. You'll never look at the night sky the same way again.Appologies for the audio in the first 30 seconds... How can meditation help for peace in the world? I go deeper into this topic during the Meditate 4 Ukraine fundraiser I gave on the 13th of March 2022 and this is the recording of that part. Do you want to learn more about how to help in these situations, sitting on a meditation pillow? And do a guided meditation aimed on sending good vibes to the Ukraine? Then this is where you need to tune in to. The approach is a bit more spiritual than you are probably used to and is also one side of me, but I promise, it is still pretty graspable and down to earth and backed up with findings of researchers and scientists.Appologies for the sound quality that is a tiny bit less than you are used to here, but it is a live recording in a quit big room.

She blogs at stayathomepanda.com and she contributes to numerous online publications like The Huffington's Post, where I read an inspiring story that led to this interview. We spoke about: • Changing from “everything I do and need is an inconvenience” to a positively strong stance • Using gratitude to increase your confidence (in a way you most probably didn't think about yet) • Apologies and gratitude, which one is more kind and polite actually, and what's the effect they have on people • Asking for a raise in a healthy way, being in a mindset of gratitude Not assuming the lower position in relationships and knowing your worth without apology

Today I reflect back on a situation I didn't handle correctly with an ex girlfriend and a friendship that ended because of a way I acted. The main focus of this episode is to shine light on times when I didn't realize I had power or that there was even a power imbalance to begin with. I always look at Women and Men as equals however the simple fact that when you are a persons ride to a party that in itself is a power imbalance. This episode is brought to you by my Inner demons "they keep you up at night"

023: Planning on Holiday Treats? Know What You're Getting Into. Released: November 16, 2017 To treat, or not to treat. That is the question. If you are going to indulge this holiday season, it's important that you know what you're getting into so you can stare the consequences in the eye and deal with them like the LCHF warrior you are. Adam and Anne talk about what you can really expect from that "harmless" Christmas cookie or vacation indulgence so that you can make an informed decision about whether you are "safe" to have a treat in the first place, and how to get back on track when you do. A personal promise from Anne: We are NOT going to continue to talk about holiday treats after this episode. We've covered how to handle judgy family who comment on the fact that you aren't having treats, we talked to Anna Vocino about having a day or two of indulgence and getting back on track, and this episode is really about making sure you have your eyes open so you can make an informed decision for youself and act accordingly. Holiday treats have been covered and we're going to move on from this now. (This episode was recorded the same day as episode 22, so we were still working without our soundboard. Appologies for the sound quality!) Many thanks to Lee Rosevere at Free Music Archive for the music we use in the podcast! This week's podcast features not a lot of new Twins news on account of major league baseball's All-Star break. An all-star break that saw Brian Dozier get added to the AL squad, hit a home run in his only at bat and Glen Perkins finish the game for the 2nd time in as many years. Paul and Cody discuss the current state of affairs in Minnesota, the merits of the AL's 2nd best team, and what, if any, upgrades the Twins should pursue down the stretch. We had to deal with some audio difficulties this week as we break in the new Talk to Contact Podcast Studio. Appologies for the low quality, and hopefully we have that fixed up in the next week. Jay (and all his underscores) joins the 2nd half of the podcast and we award hitter, pitcher and defender of the first half before we discuss beers, baseball and the news.

There was a little trouble with our microphones this week as we shift to a new recording platform but, rest assured, measures have been taken and lashings doled out for the screw-up. Appologies for the quality, it shan't happen again.

We get off topic a lot and at one point have a lengthy discussion of Space Dandy that asks the question: are we watching Space Dandy reruns or is the story just looping again? We also have the listeners try their best to Stump the Samurai with Bleach trivia. Appologies for some audio issues with this one. There's a lot more clicks than usual. 00:00 - Intro 06:30 - Attack on Titan Finale Recap 25:47 - Bleach Finale Recap 46:55 - Toonami News 1:05:03 - Hellsing Ultimate Recap 1:29:08 - Listener Mail / Sign-Off DISCLAIMER: The views and opinions of the participants of this podcast are not the views of ToonamiFaithful.Com or it’s affiliates, nor are they the views of Toonami, [adult swim], Williams Street, Turner or any other Time Warner property. Appologies for the delay in new episodes....I am considering using my nubreaks recordings for the podcast, you will get twice as many tunes :) Anyway, this is a mix I was asked to do for the Future Breaks Live show on NSB radio. It was a bit of an honour to do this so I had to pull out all the stops :)
Toyfair 2014 happened and Mikey is away......again, it seems to happen every year. But we have people to fill in his shoes this week. Appologies if the quality isnt as great this week there was a lot of issues with the audio recording this week so i hope its all ok.
Back in the saddle! Over the devoured styrofoam carcass of the Chinese buffet carry-out, the Geek Dads do some more "Dad" chat, discuss the finer points of the Kennedy assassination and Jeff drops a little comic knowledge on us. Appologies for the low-tones of the podcast, we're still getting the feel for each of our respective recording studios, so bear with us while we hammer things out. Other than that, enjoy the podcast everyone. If you can spare a minute or two feel free to stop by our Facebook page at Facebook.com/GeekDadsPodcast, our Podomatic site at geekdadspodcast.podomatic.com or drop us some reviews on iTunes. Thanks again for listening everyone, have a week! Editorial note: Jeff is a real actual professional jeweler, and as such is swamped this time of year, so this may mark the end of his appearances until the holiday season passes, so get your Jeff fix now. He's huggable, send him a hug! Intro/Outro: "Open" by Comptroller. We're open to recommendation on a new song if anyone is interested or has a suggestion. Maybe a song of the week? hmmmm
V8 Supercar Car Of The Future presentation by Mark Skaife with introduction by Tony Cochrane at Crown Casino in Melbourne directly after the Australian Grand Prix. Appologies for some issues with audio quality.
