In this episode of Second Chance Cinema, MC and Spro dig into Suicide Kings — the 1997 crime thriller that blends dark comedy, kidnapping chaos, Christopher Walken coolness, and more plot twists than any film about rich-kid amateurs should legally be allowed to contain. Once dismissed as a Tarantino-wannabe and overshadowed by the decade's heavier hitters, Suicide Kings has since developed a loyal cult following thanks to its razor-sharp dialogue, brisk pacing, and Walken's magnetic, deadpan menace. MC and Spro revisit the film with fresh eyes to ask the big question: Did we judge this movie too harshly the first time around? From its clever structure to its surprisingly emotional center, the guys explore why Suicide Kings may deserve a seat back at the table — or at least a cleaner chair than the one Walken gets taped to. Featuring signature SCC banter, behind-the-scenes nuggets, and the usual dose of nostalgia, this episode is everything you need to reevaluate one of the ‘90s most underrated crime thrillers. #SecondChanceCinema #SCCPodcast #MoviePodcast #SuicideKings #ChristopherWalken #90sMovies #CultClassics #UnderratedMovies #FilmDiscussion #FilmNerd #MovieRewatch #CinemaClub #CrimeThriller #IndieFilm #RetroRewatch #PodcastEpisode #FilmCommunity #MovieBuffs #PodcastersOfInstagram #RewatchPodcast

Click here to try it out!Christopher Walken, Larry Fishburne, and Abel Ferrara's moral abyss of a movie. This week, the dads descend into King of New York, the neon-slick crime drama that turns Manhattan into a fever dream of violence, power, and warped justice.Walken plays Frank White, a freshly released drug lord who wants to “give back” — but only by murdering every rival and funding a hospital with blood money. His crew? Mostly Black. His moral compass? Bent beyond repair. His dance moves? Still pure Walken. What we coverCrime and capitalism: Frank's twisted logic — kill the competition, save the city. The Walken mystique: Dead eyes, slick hair, spontaneous robot dances.Larry Fishburne's “Jimmy Jump”: One of the great chaotic sidekicks — all swagger, coke, and AK-47s.Cops vs crooks: Caruso and Snipes as furious detectives who decide to skip due process and go full vigilante.Ferrara's vision: A New York that's nihilistic, sweaty, and corrupt from top to bottom. The politics of power: Race, class, loyalty, and the delusion of doing “good” through evil. The ending: Blood, subways, and one of Walken's best death scenes — calm, eerie, inevitable. Why listen?Because it's peak Bad Dads territory: a film that's stylish, sleazy, and morally bankrupt, yet impossible to look away from. We argue about whether Frank's warped Robin Hood act has any truth to it, trade notes on 1990s cop-movie chaos, and try to work out how this didn't end every actor's career.

This week we're descending into The Prophecy (1995), the cult supernatural thriller where angels aren't exactly playing harps. Christopher Walken commands the screen as Gabriel—less a messenger of God, more a celestial hitman with a serious grudge. As a second war brews in Heaven, a soul too dark for Hell becomes the battlefield, and humanity hangs in the balance. With Elias Koteas as the weary detective caught in the middle and Viggo Mortensen showing up as one of the creepiest Lucifers ever put to film, it's scripture meets horror with a side of Walken weird. We're flipping through the Book of Revelation and asking: what if the angels are the real problem?

In episode 292 of The Just Checking In Podcast we checked in with Kyt Lyn Walken. Kyt is a qualified man-tracker and the Founder of her own tracking business, The Way of Tracking. Kyt's father was obsessed with western television and movies and he introduced her to man tracking skills from the age of around 5/6 years old. In 2012/2013 she got into survival skills professionally and found a school to learn how to do it. She underwent three courses in Arizona in the United States, then moved to Virginia to learn from the man who would become her tutor, before finally learning to become an instructor in 2017. After starting her own school, she saw a gap in the market and wanted to provide a bridge between forensic teams in the police and search and rescue. She created a specific programme for search and rescue teams to help put them in the mind of a missing person and what conditions they might have which would impact their behaviour i.e. autism, dementia and alzheimer's. In this episode we discuss her journey into man-tracking, becoming a qualified expert, starting her own business, the three principles of tracking she follows of ‘Identify, Decipher and Follow', as well as how the Stoics and their principles have shaped how she approaches the process of tracking. For Kyt's mental health journey, we discuss the sudden loss of her mother at the start of 2023 from a very aggressive form of cancer and the impact that had on her mental health. This episode wraps up a trifecta of Stephen King adaptations, as we review 1983's THE DEAD ZONE, which has quite the pedigree, Cronenberg! Walken! King! The movie also features Martin Sheen as a corrupt, dangerously opportunistic politician who exploits populism to gain authoritarian power and could hold the fate of the world in his hands if he isn't stopped. Chilling stuff, thankfully we don't have anything like that going on. "THE ICE, IS GONNA BREAK!" It's the Who Goes There Podcast Episode 435! Join our Patreon to support the show! Dwayne Johnson followed up his debut lead performance in The Scorpion King with The Rundown. Released as Welcome to the Jungle outside America, The Rundown might be his very best movie. Along with Seann William Scott, Rosario Dawson, and a deliciously hammy Christopher Walken, The Rock is firing on all cylinders as both a physical and emotional actor. He can be funny when called to be, but leaves most of the humor to Scott and Walken, and he really shines as a stoic badass. It's no mistake that Arnold Schwarzenegger makes a cameo at the beginning of this movie, passing by The Rock and telling him to "have fun." It was his world now. As The Scorpion King was The Rock's version of Conan the Barbarian, The Rundown was his version of Commando. Unfortunately, the world had changed since the 1980s, and the public appetite for throwback action-adventure movies was waning. We were robbed of a world where he made a movie of this quality every year. But we're also robbed of a world where dozens of movies like this get made every year. We had it all, we just didn't know it. Bonus video: The Rundown should've had a sequel! The Rock and Seann William Scott have excellent chemistry, and their partnership could easily have fit into all kinds of different sequel scenarios. Really, there should have been 10 Rundowns. We present our review of The West Wing (Season 5)!The fifth season of the American political drama television series The West Wing aired in the United States on NBC from September 24, 2003, to May 19, 2004, and consisted of 22 episodes. This was the first season with executive producer John Wells as showrunner after series creator Aaron Sorkin departed the series at the end of the previous season. The fifth season had star billing for nine major roles, all of which were filled by returning main cast members from the fourth season. The cast was credited in alphabetical order except for Martin Sheen, who was listed last. Stockard Channing is only credited for the episodes in which she appears. The fifth season opens with First Daughter Zoey Bartlet being rescued from her abductors. President Bartlet takes the presidency back from acting president Walken, but is forced back into a level of powerlessness. He comes to terms with the actions that led to his daughter's kidnapping, a new Republican Speaker of the House (Walken has had to resign in order to assume the presidency) who forces Bartlet into several decisions he does not want to make, including the nomination of an unimpressive Democrat, "Bingo Bob" Russell, for vice president. The conflict with the new Speaker comes to a head in "Shutdown", when the Speaker tries to force the President into cutting federal spending more than had been agreed to and Bartlet refuses, forcing the federal government into a shutdown. Bartlet regains some of his power, cutting a deal to get a liberal Chief Justice, and season five ends with a bombing in Gaza leading Bartlet to push for Israeli peace talks and Josh to grow closer to Donna after she is critically wounded. The fifth season begins toward the end of Bartlet's first year of his second term (fifth year overall) in office. By the end of the season, over a year has elapsed.Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.Mark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsohttps://www.teepublic.com/user/radulich-in-broadcasting-networkFB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulichInstagram: markkind76RIBN Album Playlist: https://suno.com/playlist/91d704c9-d1ea-45a0-9ffe-5069497bad59

Everyone knows who Batman is (unless you happen to live in Gotham City, then it might take a while) so here's my tribute to the Dark Knight's first big cinematic adventures since the 1960s Adam West camp-fest. Most of us were skeptical about a Michael Keaton/Tim Burton collaboration. We were expecting something ridiculous...Beetleman?!? Batjuice?!? To our surprise, 1989's Batman delivered, thanks in no small part to Jack Nicholson's even battier Joker. We then got a bonkers sequel, Batman Returns, with Christopher Walken in a supporting role that basically steals the show. Of course, I'm a bit biased and maintain that Walken steals every show. Even mine. This POD. CAST. So put on your BatBeats or whatever sort of headphones are handy and have a listen, you'll see who the real "joker" is.Go with a smile!

In this time of the year when traditions give us a sense of comfort and repetition that we need, especially in these volatile times, Back To One has a tradition of its own—the annual Kevin Corrigan episode! The patron saint of the indie film actor was the first guest on this podcast and he has returned every year since, telling hilarious stories from his adventures in the acting world, waxing about Brando, Walken, Scorsese, expounding on music, philosophizing about life in general—these episodes have become listener favorites. In this installment, Corrigan talks about shooting a scene recently where his emotions were almost too much at his finger tips, shares the awe and pride he felt working for his old friend Natasha Lyonne, and the similar feeling of working for his Daughter in a film she directed. Plus he brings back the Moss Hart story he told in a previous episode, but this time movingly reads it in Hart's words, and much much more. Past Kevin Corrigan Episodes: Ep. 1, Ep. 67, Ep. 133, Ep.185 Ep. 234 Ep. 268 Back To One is the in-depth, no-nonsense, actors-on-acting podcast from Filmmaker Magazine. In each episode, host Peter Rinaldi invites one working actor to do a deep dive into their unique process, psychology, and approach to the craft. Follow Back To One on Instagram
